On March 6, GQ released a new interview with the global K-pop group BTS. In the segment, the members answered questions sent by fans from around the world. Instead of a usual interview, they explored the internet and reacted to what people were asking online. The group looked through posts on Quora, Reddit, and X. They also checked their Wikipedia page to see which details were correct. At the same time, they replied to questions submitted through YouTube and TikTok as well.

When a fan asked in the YouTube comments, “Which music videos of yours are your favorites?” the members shared their picks. Jimin and JK chose No Day and ON. Meanwhile, V answered Butterfly. j-hope picked Dynamite and Butter, noting that Dynamite has over two billion views. At that moment, Jungkook was seen making a “funny” face. The music video passed two billion views on YouTube last September, becoming the first BTS video to reach that number.

BTS GQ interview sparked debate over Jungkook’s behavior

The GQ feature marked BTS’ first full conversation together after completing military service. It also arrived shortly before the release of their upcoming album ARIRANG. After the video spread online, short clips quickly circulated across social platforms.

Some viewers began studying certain moments closely and focused on Jungkook. A few users claimed he appeared “bored” in parts of the interview. Others suggested he seemed “zoned out” during the discussion. These remarks soon sparked arguments online. Meanwhile, other posts on Reddit claimed that the BTS maknae spoke very little during the conversation and suggested that only RM briefly interacted with him at one point.

At the same time, a handful of posts expressed concern about Jungkook’s appearance. One user wrote that he looked different compared with how he appeared before military service. However, many fans stepped forward and urged people to stop analyzing small expressions.

BTS is also set to make its highly anticipated comeback with the ARIRANG album this month. It will be followed by a free concert the next day and then a world tour starting next month.
