Aryna Sabalenka continued her incredible US Open run on Sunday, beating Taylor Townsend 6-4, 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals.
The world No. 1 has now reached her sixth consecutive US Open quarterfinal and extended her winning streak at Flushing Meadows to 17 matches.
Sabalenka has been almost untouchable at this tournament, winning 23 of her last 24 US Open matches. Sunday’s victory was also her 44th win of 2026. What a remarkable consistency she has shown throughout the season.
The defending champion now moves into the final eight as she continues her bid for a third straight US Open title.
