Canada falls to Finland in semifinal at world hockey championship

Canada’s IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship run has come to an end.

The Canadians fell to Finland 4-2 in the semifinals on Saturday in Switzerland.

Canada held a 2-1 lead after the first period, but allowed three unanswered goals in the second.

St. Louis Blues teammates Robert Thomas and Dylan Holloway scored for Canada.

It is the third straight tournament that Canada has failed to reach the gold-medal game.

Canada still has a chance at a bronze medal, as it will face Norway on Sunday. Finland will take on Switzerland for the gold, also on Sunday.
