Canadian forward Jacen Russell-Rowe joins Toulouse from Columbus Crew
Another Canadian is set to play his soccer overseas.
The Columbus Crew have transferred forward Jacen Russell-Rowe to Ligue 1 club Toulouse FC, the MLS side announced Monday.
Toulouse will pay around $2.5 million plus add-ons to acquire the Toronto native’s services, Tom Bogert of The Athletic reported on Monday. The deal also comes with a sell-on clause.
Russell-Rowe, 23, has established himself as a first-team player with Columbus since joining the side in 2022 via trade from Toronto FC.
He registered 16 goals and eight assists in 80 regular-season appearances with the club, while adding two goals and one assist in seven post-season games.
While with Columbus, Russell-Rowe helped the side to the MLS Cup in 2023 and the Leagues Cup in 2024.
Russell-Rowe broke out in the red and white as a U17 player, scoring four goals in seven appearances between the 2019 Concacaf U17 Championship and 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup. He has seven caps with the senior men’s team since 2023.
