How to complete Beasts of Khorinis 2

Once you have finished Beasts of Khorinis 1 in Gothic 1 Remake, Cavalorn will mention that there are a total of five parts of the book, and he will reward you for getting each of them. Unfortunately, you are given no information regarding their whereabouts in the world. Exploration in Gothic 1 remake is highly rewarding most of the time, and it is the only way to find these books.

How to find The Bestiary of Khorinis 2

The second Bestiary of Khoirinis is the most difficult one to locate on your own. So, if you don’t want to peek into every single hut in the New Camp, follow the steps below to get The Bestiary of Khorinis 2 in Gothic 1 Remake.

The book can be found in one of the topmost huts inside the New Camp. The hut is located to the left side from the main entrance. You will find two NPCs chatting in front of the hut.

Follow the paths nearby and climb up to the hut. Once you have made it to the hut, crouch and enter from the right side of the door. For some reason this doesn’t trigger the nearby Bandits to attack you. Whatever you do, don’t just walk into the house, as that will trigger the Bandits to immediately attack you.

But just to be on the safe side, you can use Sleep Scrolls to make both the bandits fall asleep temporarily. You can purchase Sleep Scrolls from Torrez at the Old Camp or Baal Cadar at the Swamp Camp.

Once inside, you will find the book on top of a wooden box behind the bed. Stay crouched and grab the book. This will trigger the Beasts of Khorinis 2 quest in Gothic 1 Remake.

After stealing the book, remain crouched and get out of the house. Do not linger in the area. Exit the Camp and head over to Cavalorn’s cabin.

Return to Cavalorn

Unlike the Beasts of Khorinis 1, you don’t need to read or memorize the contents of the book. Simply take the book straight to Cavalorn. Once you show him the book, he will tell you about the special Minecrawler Pheromone Glands, which are found in rare specimens.

Cavalorn will then ask you to bring him a Phromone Gland if you ever come across one, and he will reward you with knowledge.

Reward for bringing the book:

Luckily you will find the Minecrawler Queen’s Pheromone Gland during the Minecrawler’s Nest quest in Chapter 2.

Bring the gland to Cavalorn, and if you choose to sell it to him, you can learn the following skill:

• Extract Organ (poison sac of Bloodflies and venom glands of Fire Lizards).

While learning the skill can be extremely valuable for quickly building up your Ore Nugget reserves, it is recommended that you don’t sell the Minecrawler Queen’s Pheromone Gland, as you might need it at a later chapter for crafting Permanent Potions.
