That’s more like it from Muchova. A stunning forehand drop shot, on the run, angled crosscourt. Can that boost her confidence as she looks to work her way into this final?

Noskova looks to be cruising as she flashes a couple of winners to get to 30-0 but a double-fault brings Muchova back into the game and a forehand into the net brings Muchova to deuce.

Noskova, though, steadies with the wide serve as Muchova nets. And that’s a stunning point from Noskova, clean, flat hitting moves Muchova around the court, followed by an angled volley.

Two forehand errors in a row from Muchova bring up break point for Noskova. Muchova advanced into the court but skipped the forehand well long of the baseline.

Muchova finds an ace out wide, but on the second Noskova makes no mistake! She steps inside the court and powers the backhand winner down the line.

Some early nerves for Noskova perhaps as her first serve is out and she then hits long, but Muchova’s next return is overhit and the 21-year-old plays a sweet drop shot to move in front.

Now Noskova moves to the net to finish off a point and Muchova sprays wide. A good hold for the ninth seed to settle the nerves in her first slam final.

The players are out on court, with Centre Court filling up nicely. Both look pretty relaxed despite the enormity of the occasion – for Noskova, it’s a maiden slam final, and for Muchova, it’s her second, and first since 2023.

Muchova and Noskova have met once before, in the third round of last year’s US Open, with Muchova winning 6-7(5) 6-4 6-2.

With the men’s doubles and men’s wheelchair doubles titles handed out earlier today, it’s now time for the women’s singles final.

The pair will contest the first all-Czech final at Wimbledon, with one to be crowned the third Czech winner in the last four editions of the tournament, after Marketa Vondrousova in 2023 and Krejcikova in 2024.
