Man Utd fans stage anti-Glazers protest after drab draw against Man City
Manchester United supporters staged a post-match protest against the Glazer family’s ownership following Sunday’s goalless Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
The demonstration, organised by the ‘1958’ fans’ group, saw supporters remain in their seats after the final whistle to voice their discontent.
The protest came after a drab 0-0 draw with Manchester City that did little to lift the spirits of the home crowd.
Both teams struggled to create meaningful chances in a match that Sky Sports pundits described as lacking “quality” and “atmosphere”.

The protest highlighted growing concerns about rising ticket prices at Old Trafford, which fans believe are pricing out long-term supporters.
Chris Haymes, a member of the ‘1958’ group, had explained the protest’s rationale before the match.
The match itself offered little excitement for either set of supporters, with both teams appearing more concerned with avoiding defeat than seeking victory.
United managed 13 shots to City’s nine, but only two were on target, with Joshua Zirkzee forcing a save from Ederson late in the game.
Bruno Fernandes was widely regarded as the standout performer, completing 93% of his passes and providing three key passes.

City’s Kevin De Bruyne, playing in his final Manchester derby after announcing his summer departure, struggled to make an impact.
“It’s laboured, it’s flat. There’s no energy. There’s no anything!” Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards remarked at half-time.
The result leaves United in 13th place, seven points below the top half.
The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) conducted a survey that revealed approximately 7,000 concession holders and elderly fans may not renew their season tickets.

“MUST did a flash survey and they reckon there are going to be about 7,000 concessions, OAP people, are not going to renew their seats, so they are trying to price them out of their seats,” Haymes explained.
The protest comes amid ongoing frustration with the Glazer ownership, despite minority stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe now handling football operations.
The peaceful sit-in demonstration allowed fans of all ages to participate, particularly those long-term supporters most affected by the ticket price increases.
