This isn’t Tyrese Haliburton‘s first rodeo. He previously performed the ritual during a 2022 home game against the Kansas City Chiefs; the Colts went on to win 20-17.
Haliburton and Colts QB1, Daniel Jones, have built a friendship during the offseason. Both stars recovered from torn Achilles tendons and were operated on by the same surgeon, Dr. Martin J. O’Malley.
Furthermore, Haliburton and Jones captained opposing teams in August at the Pacers Foundation Charity Softball Classic. They’ll look to feature heavily in their respective leagues after injury layoffs.
Colts hold the series lead over the Ravens
The Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens have faced off in 18 regular season games. The Colts have won 11 games compared to the Ravens’ seven.
The last time the teams faced off was in 2023 as the Colts recorded a 22-19 overtime win. That win ended a three-game losing streak dating back to the 2014 season.
The Indianapolis Colts will look to start the current campaign with a statement. They’ve not reached the playoffs since the 2020 season under coach Frank Reich.
