Report: James Johnson returns to Pacers on training-camp deal
The veteran forward signed a training-camp deal with the Indiana Pacers, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on Tuesday.
Johnson, 39, was out of the league last season after spending three straight seasons with the Pacers, mostly in a bench role.
The well-traveled enforcer and two-time Toronto Raptor has played 748 games in his career, putting up 7.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
He appeared in just 12 games in the 2024-25 season, scoring eight points in 36.4 minutes.
Johnson, of Cheyenne, Wyo., has also played for the Chicago Bulls — who drafted him in the first round in 2007 — as well as the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets.
