The new centre – which will a stepping stone between a swimming pool and open water swimming – will be set within Eden Dock, which is regularly tested to EU Bathing Standards and rated excellent.

As well as a 50 metre, six-lane, open water pool, there will be two saunas powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, a community clubhouse, year-round wellness events, food, drink and retail.

Set to launch this summer, the venue will be open 364 days a year. Designed for swimmers of all ages and abilities, both pay-per-swim and membership options will be available.
