Sinner battles Australian Open heat to enter last 16, injured Osaka pulls out

High temperatures in Melbourne triggered a five-hour suspension of matches on outside courts at the Australian Open on Saturday and briefly held up champion Jannik Sinner before he battled into the last 16. Two-time champion Naomi Osaka was supposed to be in action in the third round but pulled out hours before because of an abdominal injury.
