After the Royal Rumble, WWE Elimination Chamber is the next major stop on the Road to WrestleMania 42. The premium live event will be held in Chicago on February 28.

On the February 2, edition of RAW, WWE announced that qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber would start next week. However, the announcement didn’t mention whether it was for a title shot at WrestleMania or whether we will finally witness a championship match inside the steel structure for the first time in years.

Last year, John Cena won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship while Bianca Belair won the Women’s Chamber bout to challenge IYO SKY for the Women’s World Title. With Roman Reigns confirming that he will battle CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 this year, Drew McIntyre’s challenger could be decided at Elimination Chamber this year.

WWE has announced another major match for next week’s RAW

Before Royal Rumble, a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match took place on RAW to determine the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship. Surprisingly, Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy emerged victorious over The New Day, The Creed Brothers and Los Americanos.

After earning their title shot, Alpha Academy will battle Jimmy and Jey Uso for the World Tag Team Championship next week on RAW. It remains to be seen whether they will finally be able to claim gold after so long as a team.

On the other hand, Maxxine Dupri of will also be in action, and will face Nattie after her recent betrayal during the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Becky Lynch. The issues between Dupri and Nattie have only just begun and it could be the start of a program that leads into WrestleMania season.
