WWE star Royce Keys “out indefinitely” despite not being injured
The August 3 edition of WWE Raw saw the main event of Jacob Fatu vs Royce Keys end in a surprising angle, where Fatu brutalized Keys, causing him to bleed from the mouth as Fatu applied the Tongan Death Grip post-match. Then, on last night’s August 10 episode of the show, commentator Michael Cole confirmed that Keys would be “out indefinitely” following the angle.
This has sparked speculation as to whether there are real behind-the-scenes reasons as to why Royce Keys has been taken off of TV with a kayfabe angle like this, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Keys is not injured at all, and it’s currently unclear when he’ll return to WWE programming.

Royce Keys debuted for WWE at the 2026 Royal Rumble in January, making the jump from All Elite Wrestling, where he was known as Powerhouse Hobbs. He wrestled a number of dark matches before making his return to TV, and most recently wrestled at SummerSlam, where he and the team of LA Knight and Solo Sikoa were victorious against The Bloodline.
The three members of that team have remained involved with The Bloodline since. LA Knight is now targeting World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, though it’s currently unclear when that match will happen, and Solo Sikoa has been forced to rejoin The Bloodline following a loss to Jey Uso on the August 10 episode of Raw.
Hopefully Royce Keys won’t be out of action for too long and can make the most of his debut year in WWE.
