The hit BBC One dance show has confirmed which six celebrities will be showing off their dance moves on Christmas Day

The festive season is nearing and one of the TV highlights each year is the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special – and we now officially have the full line-up.

With weeks to go until the big day itself, the hit BBC One dance show has confirmed which six celebrities will be showing off their dance moves to the nation the Christmas Day alongside one of the programme’s talented professional dancers.

In the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, produced by BBC Studios, each of the six couples will perform a festive fuelled routine in the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas, and the voting studio audience.

But who will emerge as the Christmas star of the evening, and lift the sought-after Christmas trophy? Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will oversee the festivities for their final time, having announced their plans to leave the show at the end of the current series.

The show will mark Tess and Claudia’s final-ever episode at the helm, while their last live appearance in the ballroom will be the 2025 series final on December 20, which comes after they announced in October their plans to bow out of hosting duties after 21 years and 11 years, respectively.

But who will be taking to the festive-themed ballroom this year? With weeks to go until the big day itself, Strictly has confirmed all six celebrities who will be taking part.

First to be announced was Scarlett Moffatt, who is a presenter and TV personality who first rose to fame alongside her family on Gogglebox before going on to win I’m A Celebrity in 2016.

Also signed up is Melanie Blatt, who rose to international fame in the 1990s as a member of the multi-platinum-selling, award-winning All Saints, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, EastEnders actor Nicholas Bailey and Gladiator Jodie Ounsley.
