Peter went on to win more fans when he appeared on the third series of ITV reality show I’m a Celebrity in 2004. Famously meeting Katie Price in the jungle, Peter went on to have multiple TV shows with his now ex-wife and even took part in the 2015 edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
During their time together, Peter and Katie welcomed Junior, 20, and 18-year-old Princess into the world. Peter went on to marry Emily MacDonagh in 2015, who he shares Millie, 12, Theo, nine, and two-year-old Belle with.
Recent years have seen Junior and Princess beginning to follow in their famous parents footsteps. The pair feature in the latter’s ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries.
Recently releasing its second series after premiering last year, the y-on-the-wall show focuses on Princess as she builds a brand as an influencer, launches a fashion career and steps into adulthood.
On Wednesday (April 8), Peter appeared on Good Morning Britain to promote his upcoming album Legacy. Speaking to Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley, Peter was quizzed on what would happen if his children’s success started to ‘eclipse’ his own.
“Princess has done the second series [of her show] and she’s on the third. I want them to just go and spread their wings. I think they already are [eclipsing my success]. I love it. I love it!
“How nice is it that they’ve got the schedules? ‘Oh you’ve got to be there at this time…’ I’m still hungry for it, and that’s why I’m still going but there will come a point when I just don’t want to do it as much,” Peter said.
On top of making music, Peter has also enjoyed success the world of theatre, having appeared in the West End production of Grease. Additionally, he will star in Mamma Mia! The Party alongside X Factor winner Sam Bailey.
“I’m just so happy, I’m always smiling. I’m gonna go on tour, the Legacy Tour, which we haven’t announced. But the album, it comes out on the 10th. You can pre-order it now, so we’re gonna see how that goes and then announce the tour,” he said.
Meanwhile, Princess recently revealed in an episode of her reality show that she’s eager to follow her dad into the music industry. She said: “I love music, and I’ve been wanting to get into music for a while.
“I posted a few videos with dad when I was younger but when it comes to performing in front of a crowd or getting in the studio where there’s people, I just can’t.”
