The Most Extreme Sci-Fi Movie Ever Made Is An Unrated, Gore-Filled Instant Classic
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

Before Stranger Things brought back the 80s as Steven Spielberg envisioned them, 2015’s Turbo Kid brought back the 80s as Troma envisioned them. The low-budget independent film left audiences stunned back in 2015 with its abundance of gore combined with a love for the old 80s coming of age adventures that somehow managed to combine into an amazing movie. Thankfully, the bloody, gory adventure is now streaming for free on Tubi, Pluto TV, and Amazon Freevee.
Turbo Kid Is The Superhero You’ve Always Wanted

Turbo Kid takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland with scarce resources under the control of vicious warlords. The Kid (Munro Chambers) is a teenager trying to get by as a scavenger while collecting all the comics he can of his hero, Turbo Man. After his new friend, whether he likes it or not, Apple (Laurence Leboeuf, in the best Harley Quinn performance that’s not Harley Quinn) is taken by the warlord Zeus (SeaQuest DSV’s Michael Ironside), The Kid finds the real Turbo Man. Or at least his remains. Taking the armor and weapon of the superhero, The Kid sets out to save Apple and restore hope to his world.

Turns out, saving the world means killing a whole lot of evil henchmen. In true 80s movie style, Zeus’s second in command is an imposing figure named Skeletron with a signature weapon every kid thinks is cool, but Hollywood never films due to things like “realism” and “practicality.” Skeletron shoots sawblades from a wrist-mounted gun. Not small sawblades, the type that can rip a person in half and sever limbs without even trying. Turbo Kid follows the rule of cool.
No Budget, No Problem

Over a decade later, and there’s still nothing quite like Turbo Kid. The budget obviously went to the special effects, which still look low-budget and crude, but that’s a large part of the charm of the film and why it works so well. It’s more Toxic Avenger and less Avengers.
Everyone involved understood the assignment, which is why Michael Ironside chews the scenery up like a Sunday brunch. Even the synth-filled soundtrack is a throwback to the 80s. Deep bass beats and a deep voice telling us “This is the future” is how every adventure film should start out. In a world where we don’t even have trailer voice-overs anymore and original soundtracks are replaced by “epic” covers, it’s healing to go back to a decade when originality still existed.

If you’ve never heard of Turbo Kid before, it’s because in 2015, we were living through an amazing run of Marvel superhero movies, looking forward to Batman vs. Superman, and the independent Canadian/New Zealand production, debuting at the Sundance Film Festival, flew under the radar. After earning under $100,000 in theaters, the cult classic found an audience among hardcore cinephiles and superhero fans who craved something different from generic blockbusters from the Big Two.
Turbo Kid may not be for everyone with its over-the-top amounts of gore and blood. The post-apocalyptic superhero leans more towards comedy than horror, but it’s still not for the squeamish. Thankfully, if you want to give it a shot, the immediate underground cult classic is available on Pluto TV, Tubi, and Amazon Freevee.

More On The Arrest Of D4vd In The Celeste Rivas Hernandez Murder Case
As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Dv4d was arrested and held without bail in connection with the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case. Furthermore, his arrest arrived about seven months after Hernandez’s dismembered body was found in the trunk of his car while the singer was on tour. NBC News reports that Celest Rivas Hernandez was “last known” to be alive in April 2025 after she was reported missing in 2024.
Last week, footage of his arrest surfaced. Additionally, photos of the home he sheltered in as police investigated surfaced. Then, over the weekend, the father of Celeste Rivas Hernandez spoke out. As The Shade Room previously reported, Jesus Rivas shared a statement via his attorney.
“Thank God… Justice for Celeste,” he reportedly said.
Meanwhile, D4vd’s legal team has defended his innocence, reportedly stating, “…the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.”

How Did Patrick Muldoon Die? Actor’s Sudden Death Explained
Hollywood is shaken after the sudden death of Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place star Patrick Muldoon at age 57.
Muldoon’s manager confirmed to Variety that the actor died on Sunday, April 19. According to TMZ, Muldoon suffered a heart attack.
Muldoon’s sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told the outlet that Muldoon went to take a shower Sunday morning after drinking coffee with his girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, in their Beverly Hills home.
Rothbart reportedly checked on Muldoon after some time and found him unconscious on the bathroom floor. Paramedics were called to revive Muldoon, but it was too late.
In a statement to Deadline, Muldoon was described as “endlessly generous.”
“With his poetry, his humor, and his unmistakable presence. [Patrick] loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen,” the statement continued. “Stylish, charismatic, and full of life, he embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock ’n’ roll spirit.”
Muldoon got his start on the sitcoms Who’s the Boss? and Saved by the Bell before joining Days of Our Lives as Austin in the 1990s. He left the show in 1995 but returned briefly in 2011. Muldoon also had a recurring role as villain Richard Hart on Melrose Place from 1995 to 1996.
Muldoon previously starred alongside ex-girlfriend Denise Richards and Casper Van Dien in Starship Troopers. He reunited with Richards, 55, on a 2025 episode of Bravo’s Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. Muldoon’s latest film, Dirty Hands, is set to be released later this year.
Days before his death, Muldoon teased his involvement in a future project titled Kockroach, writing via Instagram, “So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH directed by Matt Ross starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Zazzie Beetz And Alec Baldwin. Filming now in Australia 🇦🇺.”
After news broke about Muldoon’s death, several fellow actors paid tribute on social media, including child star Jake Getman.
“RIP Patrick Muldoon. 🕊️,” Getman wrote. “Worked with him when I was 8 on Little Dead Rotting Hood — a great guy and always kept the energy light.” He added hashtags “rip” and “#gonetoosoon.”
Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney also reflected on the “heartbreaking news,” writing via X, “Pat was a rare kind of person — brilliantly talented, endlessly kind, and generous in spirit.”
She continued: “I was so lucky to have worked with him when I first started at Days, he made me feel at ease right away. He brought his unique charm and humor to work every day. A truly gifted guy, and one who will be profoundly missed.”
Along with his girlfriend and sister, Muldoon is survived by parents Deanna and Patrick Muldoon, Sr., brother-in-law Ahmet Zappa, niece Halo and nephew Arrow.

General Hospital 2-Week Spoilers Apr 20-May 1: Valentin Turns Pure Evil – Ric’s Deep Suspicion Ignites!
General Hospital 2-week spoilers for April 20 – May 1, 2026 expect Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) getting tricky and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) being suspicious about something.
General Hospital Spoilers Monday, April 20th: Valentin’s Plan
On Monday, April 20th, we’ve got Molly Lansing (Kristen Vaganos) telling Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) that they should talk to Dr. Navarro (Christina Ferraro) before they make plans. Sounds like they’re trying to get on that vacay that they missed out because of Molly’s surgery. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gets a surprise visit from somebody. He’s actually due two visits. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) swings by Sonny’s.
I’m sure it’s to discuss Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) wanting to work for Sonny and against the WSB. And Sonny tells somebody on Monday he has a better idea. Could be Alexis, but he’s also talking with Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean Parsons) soon because Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) is at Sonny’s watching Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) when Ethan shows up there looking for her dad and Kristina spends time catching up with Ethan and he says it’s really good to see Kristina and she tells Ethan that she really missed him. And then Kristina asked Ethan if he’s looking for a job with her dad.
GH Spoilers: Willow Makes Ruthless Move
Something has Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) very determined and as usual it’s about her kids and she is yelling at Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to keep Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) who she calls “that” away from their kids or he’ll regret it. And then somebody gives Michael some new information and it could be Jacinda, you know maybe something that Willow said before he arrived or what Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) wants from Jacinda and what he’s offering.
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is startled and it may be because Valentin tells Carly he snuck over into Nina Reeves‘ (Cynthia Watros) house to meet with her and Valentin says they need to take action against Jack and Nina is perfect to help him out with this. So on Monday he is telling Carly that they need to do this and that she can really help. But I do wonder if Carly is jealous which seems like something she would be at this point.
Also, the plan is for Valentin to give Nina information, very specific information, limited information to feed back to Jack so that he won’t keep bullying Nina and won’t keep threatening Willow. But the question is, will this work? So, Nina wants to hire somebody, and I wonder if it’s Ric so that she can have a legal sounding board on these criminal matters, but know that he can’t tell anybody.
General Hospital Spoilers Tuesday, April 21st: Sonny Takes A Risk
On Tuesday, April 21st, Sonny takes a risk. Could be by hiring Ethan or at least teaming up with him to target Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is completely thrown. This week, she and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) have a tense conversation. Could be also with Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) or Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) or even Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr). Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) pops in to see Cullum at General Hospital.
I’m sure Dante has more questions for Cullum about the shooting. And Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) is confronted by Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). And I wonder if it’s something about Porsche and the baby or the car crash. Ric is skeptical on Tuesday and it might be with Nina if she has hired him.
GH Spoilers Wednesday, April 22nd: Jordan Confides In Curtis
On Wednesday, April 22nd, we’ve got Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) confiding in Curtis. I just wonder if Jordan’s going to keep trying to blame all of this on somebody else. Because let’s be plain whoever was in the other car, Isaiah or Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) or Danny and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), Jordan nearly ran head-on into them driving into another lane because she was acting like an idiot teenager.
So, I hope General Hospital isn’t going to indulge this nonsense that she was a victim of anything but her own bad judgment. She and Curtis don’t even know if this other driver saw the wreck and they really can’t prove it. So, it’s crazy for them going after this vehicular homicide, you know, attempted homicide, failure to render aid, whatever it is. They have no idea that that person could see or not.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is digging for answers on Wednesday, and I bet it’s back to the who Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is protecting thing. Plus, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brayden Bruner) gets a surprise. Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is taking Emma on a romantic trip to Manhattan. They’re going to go see a Broadway show. Britt is worried that somebody she loves is in danger. Maybe she is starting to figure out that Rocco might have shot Cullum. And Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) opens up about her worries. I wonder if she may tell her brother Ethan about the Rocco and Cullum incident, knowing that she can trust him.

General Hospital Spoilers Thursday, April 23rd: May Sweeps Kicks Off
On Thursday, April 23rd, May sweeps kicks off and we’ll see Willow flexing her power. And I wonder if she is going to abuse her congressional power either for herself or for Sidwell like Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was doing in both ways. And Willow may be doing a bad deed for Sidwell who put her in office or she could be targeting Jacinda or trying somehow to shut down Trina and Kai since they know she shot Drew. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has a happy reunion with Ethan. So, them losing Luke’s going to be a big topic as Tracy tells Ethan how much he reminds her of Luke. And I’m sure Ethan should give her another thank you since Tracy saved his life at that auction a few years back.
Plus, Elizabeth goes to visit Drew. He’s blinky blinky blinking, hoping that she could save him. And I actually think Elizabeth is a good choice to figure out what’s going on because she is a medical professional. And it may work because she asks if Drew’s asking for help. Also, Gio and Emma explore obviously during their New York trip. And Ric needs Alexis’s opinion on something and it may be about Willow. Maybe if Nina hired him, he wants to circle back with her to find out since she was Willow’s lawyer with the case over. We’ll see.
GH Spoilers Friday, April 24th: Cassius Offended
Friday, April 24th, Cassius winds up offended. Maybe it’s something with Lulu pushing him aside so she can spend time with Ethan or could be something to do with his bosses Sidwell and Cullum or his sister Britt. Speaking of her, she needs reassurance. So she may get that from Lucas or maybe from Brad, maybe from Josslyn. Felicia gets upsetting news.
And the question is, is it about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in France? And somebody is warned by Valentin. So many options. Could be Joss, Carly, Gio, and Emma head to see Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway. And they go backstage hanging out with GH guest star Michael James Scott, who is playing himself. Gio knows him from days when he used to play violin in the orchestra pit in Manhattan.
Week of April 27th-May 1st: First Full Week of May Sweeps on General Hospital
Then the week of April 27th through May 1st, it’s the first full week of May sweeps, and we are going to see Willow using all her considerable efforts to try and get Justine out of Michael’s life. I think she’s going to be ruthless, but if Willow gets hyper-focused on this, Sidwell might slap her down.
He doesn’t need Willow being sloppy the same way Drew was. Ethan is strategizing with Sonny. They’re trading notes on Sidwell and Cullum and probably what happened with Jason. Drew tries hard to give Elizabeth a sign. She may come back and visit him if she feels like something is not quite right.
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Jealousy Shows
And Carly may be really bothered that Valentin recruited Nina. Of course, Valentin was really, really bothered when Carly took Jack to bed. However, I think Carly is still playing a long con on Jack and felt it was necessary. I think she was also using that as a way to push Valentin back because let’s face it, Carly is falling for Valentin. And I think he is also falling for her.
Alexis remains determined to keep Danny out of the mob. That’s why she goes to see Sonny in the first week of these two weeks. And I think she’s going to be keeping a really close eye, maybe helicoptering, which just could push Danny further towards Sonny or anybody else who will let him in.
Michael looks for a way to prove that Willow shot Drew. Nina is playing Jack and feeding him this fake info. And in May, by the way, we’re going to see Michael James Scott in Port Charles doing Friend Like Me from Aladdin in a special performance at The Savoy.

Original ‘Avatar’ Stars Call for Theatrical Release After Paramount Movie Leak
Two weeks ago, the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, was leaked online. The film was meant to be a continuation of the highly praised Nickelodeon TV show and is scheduled to be released directly to Paramount+, despite original plans for a theatrical release. Now, there are more calls to bring this movie to cinemas, and it’s not just fans that are making noise.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender features a brand-new voice cast teaming up with Avatar, set years after the defeat of Fire Lord Ozai, with our young heroes aged up. Voicing the last airbender is Eric Nam, who was a contestant on The Traitors US and South Korea’s The King of the Mask Singer. Also starring in this movie are Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jessica Matten (Dark Winds), Román Zaragoza (Ghosts), Steven Yeun (Avatar: The Legend of Korra), and Dionne Quan (The Fairly OddParents). Since the leak, some animators have expressed disappointment, calling out fans for “justifying” the leak with Paramount’s decision to drop the film on streaming. Now, there are even more calls to bring the movie to theaters, especially as Metro reported that over 10 million people saw it online.
During a panel at Supanova Melbourne, the original voice cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender addressed the leak. Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jennie Kwan (Suki), and Olivia Hack (Ty Lee) were asked whether they had seen the movie online. While they admit they didn’t see the movie in its entirety, they still believe Avatar: The Last Airbender should be released in cinemas. This is what Hack had to say:
“I’ve skimmed it. The art looks beautiful. Here’s my thing. If it was going to be the actual release, right, it’d be like, ‘don’t watch it, because it takes away from the box office.’ Paramount has my nickel. I already subscribed. So I skimmed it, and the art looks gorgeous. And I haven’t watched it yet. Release it in theaters. That’s what I’m saying. And when you do watch it, you can see. I mean, it’s really spectacular. The artwork is gorgeous, and so, yeah.”
What Is ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ About?
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a media franchise that began in 2005 and has since expanded its main story into a Netflix live-action series, an M. Night Shyamalan movie adaptation, and numerous graphic novels that explore what happens after the show ends. The original series (and the live-action film and Netflix adaptation) follows Aang, a young airbender who’s also the Avatar, someone who can control all four elements: Water, fire, Earth, and Air. He’s destined to stop the Fire Nation from taking over the world, and joining him are his allies, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and, eventually, Prince Zuko (Dante Basco).
The original TV series spanned three seasons and sits at a perfect 100% critics’ score and a 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. This led to the creation of its spin-off sequel, Avatar: The Legend of Korra, which follows a new Avatar, named Korra, and takes place less than 100 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Additionally, a new TV show called Avatar: Seven Havens is in the works and scheduled to debut in 2027.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is scheduled to come out on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026

Netflix’s New Shark Thriller Will Make You Clean Your House
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

In my household, one of our major guilty pleasures is shark movies. Most of them are a blend of two distinct genres: thriller and horror. These are two great tastes that don’t always taste great together, which is why these films always feel like a coin flip. Some of them are crowd-pleasing action schlockfests that are fun to watch with your friends over a few beers. Some, though, are so bad that you’d rather get devoured by a shark than watch until the credits.
Unfortunately, the new Netflix film Thrash (2026) falls into the latter category. The movie has a few things going for it, including some interesting effects that do their best to heave this disaster of a disaster film to life. It also features a number of unique characters, including one played by breakout Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor. Sadly, those qualities aren’t enough to save a film that feels like a snooze-worthy, waterlogged slog from beginning to end.
Shark Of Darkness

Compared to the shipload of shark movies on streaming, Thrash has a relatively unique premise. A small town on the East Coast is getting ready for the ravages of a Category 5 hurricane, with most residents evacuating. Those who can’t or won’t leave are in serious trouble when the sea wall is breached, flooding the full force of the ocean. Of course, the town is also flooded with sharks, leaving the beleaguered residents wondering what will kill them first: the rising water or the growing legion of bloodthirsty predators now patrolling every neighborhood.
While shark movies are decidedly hit or miss, I had relatively high hopes for Thrash. The film was directed by Tommy Wirkola, who previously brought us Dead Snow, a movie in which hapless medical students must fight a small army of Nazi zombies. More recently, he directed Violent Night, in which Stranger Things star David Harbor plays a cranky Kris Kringle who must survive his own Die Hard-like encounter with a group of armed thugs. Each of those movies provided the kind of memorable schlock that I love, so I hoped Thrash would be more of the same.
Slow, Disconnected Plots

Unfortunately, the plot just meanders, a problem made worse by the fact that the characters never really gel together. Whitney Peak plays a character with agoraphobia, which neatly explains why she hasn’t evacuated in the face of a hurricane. But she has absolutely zero chemistry with Phoebe Dynevor, an expectant mother who could give birth at any moment. Their attempts to survive effectively form the A plot of the movie, while the B plot focuses on a group of redneck kids whose foster father has the intelligence and survival instincts of a slug.
Now, this can’t be emphasized enough: these plot threads do not intersect in any way. The A plot is more filled out, with its characters having more substantial things to actually do. Plus, Peak’s character has an uncle (the excellent Djimon Hounsou, who steals almost every scene) who is ever-so-slowly coming to the rescue. But the B plot is so sparse (it’s mostly foul-mouthed kids figuring out they need to get to higher ground) and so completely disconnected that it feels tacked on to pad the runtime. That’s ironic, because this unnecessary subplot makes the 86 minutes of Thrash feel like an eternity of misery.
From Splash To Splatter

As you might expect, this middling shark movie got “thrashed” by the critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 42 percent critical rating, putting this stinker of a film firmly in the “rotten” category. Adding some sea salt to the wound, it has a far lower 24 percent audience score, which is the real kiss of death here. Thrash was clearly aimed at general audiences looking for a popcorn film, but it turns out that sticking a Bridgerton star in the middle of a low-rent, shark-infested disaster film just wasn’t enough to hold even the most casual movie lover’s interest.
That is, ultimately, the worst sin of Thrash: for all its efforts at shlocky spectacle, most of this movie is downright boring. The effects are genuinely solid, and the actors are giving it their all, but this is a genre-mashing movie that effectively screws up two different genres. As a horror movie, it’s just not that scary, and as a thriller, it’s just not very thrilling. Even if you love shark movies, you’ll likely hate it because it pales in comparison to better movies on other streamers (seriously, just search for “shark” on Tubi; you can thank me later).

Wanting to see just how bad this Netflix original can get? Care to hate-watch this subpar shark film in all its garish glory? In that case, all you have to do is stream Thrash on Netflix today. If nothing else, this film will inspire you to be more productive. That’s because it will only take a few scenes before you realize that doing the dishes, taking out the trash, and vacuuming the house are all a much, much better use of your time than this deep-sea disappointment.

What Anne Hathaway Is Letting Go Of After Decades In Hollywood
From her breakout role in “The Princess Diaries” to starring in fashion cult favorite “The Devil Wears Prada” and winning an Oscar for “Les Misérables,” Anne Hathaway has spent more than two decades at the top of Hollywood. She’s built a career defined by range, critical acclaim, and major box office success, but behind the scenes, she says it hasn’t always felt as effortless as it looked. Now at 43, Anne Hathaway is stepping into a new chapter, one where she’s finally letting go of the pressure that once defined her early years in the spotlight.
Anne Hathaway Ditches ‘Stress’ Mindset At 43

“When I started out, I thought I’d be a better artist if I was really hard on myself,” she told PEOPLE after being named the magazine’s “World’s Most Beautiful Cover Star.” “And then turning 40, I just kind of found a different gear, and I was no longer interested in living an awkward life. I was just interested in getting to the fun part.”
Now, Hathaway says she’s done putting so much pressure on herself, and is focused on actually enjoying the moment. “I’m at a stage in my life where I don’t want to focus on the stress,” she said.
Instead, she’s leaning into joy, surrounding herself with people who bring laughter and honesty into her life. “Humor. I love to laugh, and I love people who look for the joke in a situation,” the “The Princess Diaries” actress said. “You want people that you can celebrate the ups with, and you want people that you can laugh through the downs with.”
Hathaway Gets Candid About Childhood Anxiety And ‘Multiple’ Beauty Missteps

Looking back, Hathaway admits she struggled with communication and anxiety growing up, which only added to her feelings of being out of place. “When I was a kid, I found talking really difficult,” she told the magazine. “So I had a bit of stress and anxiety around just, like, communicating.”
Even something as simple as hair and beauty became a learning curve. “Multiple. I didn’t understand that there’s a whole language when it comes to beauty,” the actress said.
Anne Hathaway Admits Confidence Isn’t Constant

Anne Hathaway’s candid comments also come just days after another revealing interview, where she opened up about the ups and downs of confidence. Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress admitted that even now, self-image can fluctuate. “Some days you look in the mirror, and you’re just like, ‘Not bad,’” she said. “And some days you look in the mirror, and you’re like, ‘What?’ And I was having a ‘What?’ day.”
The “The Devil Wears Prada” star went on to share a relatable moment that forced her to face those feelings head-on. “And you know how you have your aspirational swimsuit that you keep around, just in case you have a good day?” she said. “And then you have your swimsuit that’s got you no matter what? I accidentally packed the aspirational swimsuit.”
The actress added, “Which I then had to wear on a ‘What?’ day. So, I’m ready to have this great day with my family. And I am going to be in front of strangers, and people have phones. And all of the things.”
Hathaway Reframes Aging

Anne Hathaway is also changing the conversation around getting older, and she’s doing it with a refreshing perspective.
“I think that very often, conversations about aging presume that the first part of life is the happiest and the most fulfilling, and I don’t necessarily think that’s true,” she said. “I wasn’t expecting to find another gear at 40.”
For Hathaway, turning 40 didn’t mark a slowdown, but it unlocked a new chapter, one where confidence, clarity, and joy have taken center stage in a way they hadn’t before.
Anne Hathaway Embraces Confidence At 43

These days, Hathaway is finally feeling comfortable and confident in a way she never has before. Whether she’s blasting music from Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, or Madonna on set or embracing a more relaxed mindset, she’s proving that growth doesn’t have a timeline.
