Stamford Bridge Beaumont care home’s Viking history day
The event took place at Stamford Bridge Beaumont care home, where members of the 1066 Stamford Historical Society delivered an immersive talk on the area’s Viking heritage.
The society showcased replica clothing, equipment, and weapons, sparking lively discussions among residents about the nearby Battle of Stamford Bridge and the craftsmanship of the artefacts.

Emma Smith, general manager at Stamford Bridge Beaumont, said: “Today has been all about celebrating our local heritage and bringing history into the home.
“It was wonderful to see our residents so captivated by the stories and artifacts.

Stamford Bridge Beaumont is operated by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
