You’d think that Damien Chazelle, the youngest-ever winner of the Best Director Academy Award, would have earned a blank check for life. But after the back-to-back underperformance of his last two features, he admitted on The Big Picture podcast that scraping his way back into the big leagues might be difficult. Chazelle is currently in production on his new project, said to be a prison drama starring Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig. Meanwhile, his two most recent films, which were blank check projects themselves, are finding a passionate audience at home.
The first of the two features is the unconventional biopic First Man, starring Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong. The movie grossed just around $100 million worldwide against a reported budget of $70 million. Chazelle’s follow-up to First Man remains arguably his most ambitious project yet. It is a sweeping love letter to Hollywood told from the perspective of three characters in the 1920s — an ingénue played by Margot Robbie, a has-been played by Brad Pitt, and a wet-behind-the-ears fan played by newcomer Diego Calva. You’ve probably guessed the film we’re talking about; it’s currently streaming on Netflix, but will be removed from the platform very soon.

The Academy Has Decided Your Perfect Film Is…
Your answers have pointed to one Oscar Best Picture winner above all others. This is the film that was made for the way your mind works.
Parasite
You are drawn to films that operate on multiple levels simultaneously — that begin in one genre and quietly, brilliantly migrate into another. Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is a film about class, desire, and the architecture of inequality that manages to be darkly funny, deeply suspenseful, and genuinely shocking across a single extraordinary running time. Your instinct is for cinema that hides its true intentions until the moment it’s ready to reveal them. Parasite is exactly that — a film that rewards close attention and punishes assumptions, right up to its devastating final image.
Everything Everywhere All at Once
You want it all — and this film gives you all of it. The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once is one of the most maximalist films ever made: action comedy, multiverse sci-fi, family drama, existential crisis, and a genuinely earned emotional core that sneaks up on you amid the chaos. You are someone who responds to ambition, who doesn’t want cinema to choose between being entertaining and being meaningful. This film refuses that choice entirely. It is overwhelming by design, and its overwhelming nature is precisely the point — because the feeling of being crushed by infinite possibility is exactly what it’s about.
Oppenheimer
You are drawn to cinema on a grand scale — films that understand history not as a backdrop but as a force, and that place their characters inside that force and watch what happens. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a film about the terrifying gap between what we can do and what we should do, told with the full weight of one of the most consequential moments in human history behind it. You want your films to feel important without feeling self-important — to earn their ambition through sheer craft and the gravity of their subject. Oppenheimer does exactly that. It is enormous, complicated, and refuses easy comfort.
Birdman
You are drawn to films that foreground their own construction — that make the how of the filmmaking part of the what it’s about. Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, shot to appear as a single continuous take, is cinema examining itself through the cracked mirror of a fading actor’s ego. You respond to formal daring, to the feeling that a film is doing something that probably shouldn’t be possible. Michael Keaton’s performance and Emmanuel Lubezki’s restless camera create something genuinely unlike anything else — a film that is simultaneously about creativity, relevance, self-destruction, and the impossibility of ever truly knowing if your work means anything at all.
No Country for Old Men
You are drawn to cinema that trusts silence, that refuses to explain itself, and that treats dread as a form of meaning. The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men is a film about the arrival of a new kind of evil — implacable, arbitrary, and utterly indifferent to the moral frameworks we use to make sense of the world. It is one of the most formally controlled films ever made, and its controlled restraint is what makes it so terrifying. You want your films to haunt you, not comfort you. You are not interested in resolution if resolution would be dishonest. No Country for Old Men is honest in a way that most cinema never dares to be.

Here’s How Long You Have Left to Watch Damien Chazelle’s Divisive Epic on Netflix
The movie in question is Babylon, of course. Also featuring Tobey Maguire, Samara Weaving, Jovan Adepo, Jean Smart, and several others, Babylongrossed around $65 million worldwide against a reported budget of $80 million. It earned just $15 million in North America, which makes it one of the biggest bombs in its budget range. The movie is said to have lost Paramount nearly $90 million. Babylon divided critics upon release, and now stands at a 57% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. The site’s consensus reads, “Babylon‘s overwhelming muchness is exhausting, but much like the industry it honors, its well-acted, well-crafted glitz and glamour can often be an effective distraction.” Despite initial reactions, the “Babylon Hive” has been vocal about its love for the film ever since its underwhelming box-office run. The movie is well on its way to achieving cult status. You can check it out on Netflix, but only until June 7. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
Big Brother Season 28 kicks off Thursday, and we supposedly got the full cast announcement from Julie Chen Moonves on the weirdly named YouTube Broveal, but doing the math, it was easy to see that that was not the end of it.
Clearly, 14 house guests is way too few. Starting with Big Brother 14 back in 2012, there’s always been 16 or 17 house guests to start with. So, obviously doing the math there are at least two confirmed additions, but now we know there are three on top of the newbies.
Plus, it looks like they’re taking this time trip thing seriously because reportedly there’s already an HOH and nominees. Let’s catch up on what is happening in the BB28 house because game play is underway.
Big Brother 28: Who is Playing in Summer 2026?
First, let’s talk about who all is playing. We got 13 younger players and one older player from the Broveal. 57-year-old outlier LaTrice “Lala” Verrett is pushing 60. And she looks good. I want to know her skincare regimen.
On the other end of the scale is Drew Campbell, the 22-year-old dental surgical assistant guy. I love that he talked about being good with people and chatting while the oral surgeon is working on them. You ever try talking at the dentist office with a dam in your mouth?
Then there’s the guy giving Weird Al Yankovic vibes. That’s Barrett Pfeiffer, the jumbotron engineer, AKA an AV nerd on steroids. Then there’s Rocket scientist Mallory Aurichio in her big glasses and red t-shirt looking like someone from The Big Bang Theory.
But on her Insta, she’s a partying sorority chick. She’s more likely to be showing her booty in a thong than dressed like they had her in that broveal. It’s production nonsense.
BB 28: More New Players on the Roster
We also have corporate game show host Melody Morris. She’s actually a graduate from journalism school. But she works at one of those places where you can go play a simulated game show. There’s one on the boardwalk near me. They’re cute. She works for the brand Game Show Battle.
We also have Lyric Medeiros, the lawyer, who’s going to lie and say she’s a singer for tourists. Then we have Kamu Kirk, the MMA dude and Jason de Puy, the drag queen. By the way, the Broveal thing that CBS did seems to be a hat tip to RuPaul’s Drag Race that also announces their cast on YouTube on a live stream reveal called the “Ruveal”.
Chuk Anyanwu, the cute cowboy from Dallas is interesting. He went to Texas Women’s University which despite the name is co-ed. I have much higher hopes for Chuk than Big Brother 27‘s creeper cowboy Riley. We’ve also got Ashley Trail the bartender.
There’s Haley Thogmartin the telemedicine chick and Rome Seymour, pickle ball coach. I enjoy pickle ball, but would never hire a coach. I can figure out how to hit a whiffle ball on my own thanks.
Taylor Brown is a school counselor from Deerfield Beach. It’s a nice area by Boca Raton. I like her vibe. And Yash Patel from Jersey is hoping to go home with a wife. It felt like almost everybody they cast is looking for a showmance.

Big Brother 28: A Few Familiar Faces from CBS Shows
Okay, so those are the newbies. Then we’re getting one Big Brother alum and two Survivor alums. On the plus side, the Big Brother returning player is not Paul Abrahamian. Instead, it’s the charcuterie queen herself, Angela Murray. Hope they waterproofed the Diary Room in preparation for her deluge of tears.
And from Survivor, we got two coming fresh off Survivor 50. One is Rick Devens. He’s fun. If you don’t watch Survivor, he pulled a baller move in the recent season hiding a fake community idol near the fire pit at the tribal council set.
And then a couple of tribal councils later, Devens was about to be voted out, and faked like he found it from a clue. He also risked his game on the Mr. Beast twist. He flipped a coin that risked his ejection but instead, he doubled the Survivor 50 winners pot to 2 million bucks.
The other Survivor alum we’ve heard is playing is Dee Valladares. She won Survivor 45 and played Survivor 50, but was ousted without a win. Dee has also played on The Challenge. She’s a good physical competitor.
Dee’s 29, Rick is 42, and Angela is 53. So, that brings us to three middle-aged players, a couple in their 30s, and the bulk of the house guests in their 20s, all looking to get lucky in the house. So, this could be the showmanciest season we’ve ever had of Big Brother.
Big Brother 28: Players Living Room
Major Changes and Shakeups on BB28
Now, let’s talk about some things they’re changing up. Usually, we get photos and bios ahead, but this Broveal was something new. And Julie Chen did say they’re shaking up things. We’ll see the milestone 1,000th episode soon. They’re at 975 episodes going into the season.
And with 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays throughout the season, there is plenty to see in BB28. The debut on Thursday, July 9th is also 90 minutes. Unlocked is back this Friday with Jerry O’Connell as a regular.
The Big Brother Blockbuster is back in play again in BB28. And it looks like the houseguests are already inside and playing the game. So, Thursday’s episode will be pre-taped material since the move-in that already happened.
Unlocked on Friday is supposed to dive into the Survivor Castaway reveals and the Big Brother alum playing the game. And the live feeds are up Friday night right after Unlocked. There are some fan voting features that affect gameplay that CBS is clearly using to drive viewers to this bonus content.

Big Brother 28: HOH and Nominees Already Locked?
They’re also using YouTube more heavily this season with free but limited post-show live feeds access. Just enough to drive people to subscribe to Paramount Plus. As for some early leaked info, take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt.
Supposedly, the first HOH and nominees may already be locked in. Word is that Mallory Aurichio, the sorority party girl/rocket scientist, is the first HOH winner. And the chatter is that she nominated MMA fighter Kamu Kirk and pickle baller Rome Seymour.
The HOH and nominations stuff is somewhat speculative, but hey, I like sharing leaks, so do with that what you will. Don’t miss the BB28 premiere on Thursday! Wouldn’t be summer without Big Brother.
Mackenzie Shirilla is still pushing for a “fair retrial” after a jury convicted her in the 2022 deaths of her boyfriend and their friend. Shirilla is reportedly faces 15 years to life behind bars after authorities say she crashed her car into a wall at 100mph, killing her boyfriend Dominic Russo and their friend Davion Flanagan.
Roommates, if you’ve been out of the loop, Mackenzie Shirilla has taken over social media following Netflix’s release of ‘The Crash’ documentary. The film dives into the July 2022 car crash in Strongsville, Ohio, where Shirilla drove into a building at 100mph, killing her boyfriend and their friend. The documentary breaks down her case, features body cam footage, and include Mackenzie’s first-ever prison sit-down interview.
In the film, Mackenzie maintains her innocence and points to her POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) diagnosis as a factor in the incident. In August 2023. a jury convicted her on multiple charges, including murder, aggravated vehicular homicide, and felonious assault. She reportedly later received two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life. Since then, Mackenzie has continued pushing for a retrial.
Mackenzie NEW Prison Photo As She Continues Fighting For Retrial
Recently, Mackenzie’s team shared a new prison selfie on Instagram showing her posing in a navy blue long-sleeve shirt with her bone straight hair. In the caption, her team said she’s “trying to do better every day” and continues to “hold onto hope.” Additionally, Shirilla’s legal team shared that she lost her post-conviction relief request because her attorney filed it one day late due to a leap year deadline technicality. On Tuesday, July 7, Shirilla’s legal team filed a new motion asking the Ohio Supreme Court to take another look at her appeal, claiming the deadline rules caused confusion. However, her family says they’re still doing everything they can to help her secure a retrial.

“Mackenzie and her family (along with everyone’s help) will respectfully continue to do everything they can so that the merits of the brief can be heard, just as anyone else would do in their position,” Shirilla’s team wrote in the caption.
Mackenzie’s Latest Update Has Social Media Sounding OFF
Once Mackenzie’s team shared her latest prison update, folks flooded the comment section with reactions. Some revisited details from her case, while others made it clear that they don’t believe a retrial should be on the table.
Instagram user @mz_saltman wrote, “The only thing not fair about that trial is that she will be up for parole down the road. She should have been sentenced to life with no parole.”
Instagram user @skeletalethereal wrote, “it’s always the lawyers fault and everyone’s fault but mackenzie’s huh.”
While Instagram user @em_velasquez96 wrote, “Doing everything except holding her accountable.”

Then Instagram user @carson_falls1 wrote, “She doesn’t remember anything? But she remembers she’s innocent?”
Another Instagram user @helov3s.naa wrote, “either way she did it, don’t matter if on purpose or not those 2 boys are gone 💔”
Instagram user @jess._nicolee wrote, “absolutely not, the boys don’t get to ‘wanna do better’ neither should she. bye.”
Then another Instagram user @cupcakexclara wrote, “yeah bro js delete the whole account.”

Finally, Instagram user @cum4coleee wrote, ‘Girl — bye. Does Dom and Davion get an appeal? No. So neither should you!”
Here’s What Shirilla Previously Said About Her Conviction
Mackenzie’s team previously spoke out about her sentencing and shared a prison selfie along with a message from her on Instagram. They said Mackenzie wanted to thank everyone who sees through what she calls lies and has formed their own opinions about the incident and her case. She also shared her love for her boyfriend Dominic and their friend Davion. Mackenzie added that she plans to continue fighting for her innocence and appreciates those who continue standing with her and advocating for her freedom.
I will respectfully and peacefully continue to fight for my innocence through the proper legal channels. To all of those who speak out on my behalf to raise awareness of this wrongful conviction…words cannot describe my sincere appreciation for your support and for being my voice. Continue to scream “Free Mackenzie Shirilla” at the top of your lungs,” Mackenzie’s caption read.
Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for July 13-17, 2026 thrill with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) provoking his rival dressmaker Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). And also, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) won’t stop and won’t back down until she gets what she wants. So, is she going to overstep with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)?
We’re going to get into the latest spoilers for the week of July 13th through the 17th. And by the way, this is the last full week of July sweeps. It ends on the 20th. So, expect to see things slowing up a bit as the shock waves from the Logan launch begin to subside.
And remember, as we always do each and every early edition day, we’re going to talk about the rest of this week and then we will get into what is coming the week after that.
Bold and the Beautiful: Family Conflicts and Sheila’s Persistence – July 8th Through 10th
Let’s get started. Wednesday, July 8th on Bold and the Beautiful. We’ve got Ridge continuing to harp on Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) to dump Will Spencer (Crew Morrow). Ridge was saying Forresters and Spencers don’t mix. And I wonder if he forgot his own granddaughter, Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay).
And Ridge to me was talking crazy, saying that Will could get violent with Electra because he’s punched R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) twice. I think Ridge is wrong to say that R.J. didn’t trespass. He was asked more than once to leave. He refused to and he got hit. Now, the subsequent hits I think crossed the line, but trying to make Will into a monster, a woman abuser.
Seriously, I recall Ridge bringing Thorne Forrester (Ingo Rademacher) as backup, barging uninvited into Bill Spencer’s house and throwing him off a balcony. So, does that mean Ridge is just as likely to hit Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) or throw her off a balcony? Or does Ridge’s logic only apply to Spencers? I do hope that Electra tells Ridge, “Okay, I won’t see Will anymore because he doesn’t need Electra in his life.”
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Confronts Bill
Also, this week, we’re going to see R.J. up from his nap and he’s talking to Ridge and Eric Forrester (John McCook) who stopped by to check on R.J. So, we’ll see Ridge getting all worked up and deciding he’s going to go over to Logan and make a stand against those terrible, awful, no good, very bad Spencers.
Sheila pops up at Deacon Sharpe‘s (Sean Kanan) place to grill Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) on whether she talked to Steffy about letting her into the family. You know, letting Sheila have supervised visits with Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Hayes Finnegan (Bryan David Garlick). And Taylor tells Sheila that what she’s asking is impossible. Steffy will never agree, but Sheila’s going to keep pushing.
Then on Thursday, July 9th, it looks like Deacon gets his divorce. Sheila signs the papers and their split is official. So, she may take Taylor’s word that she will try and do what she can to talk to Steffy about what Sheila is asking for. Also, Sheila drops in on Finn at the hospital and insists that she is not a threat.
And she tells Finn that she accepted that Deacon wants a life with Taylor and that’s why she went ahead and signed the divorce papers. Finn is questioning his biological mother saying even if you get nothing else in return and she insists yes. And he warned Sheila that Steffy is not going to be okay with what she wants the visitation. But Sheila asked Finn to get her two minutes of Steffy’s time so that she can explain her point of view.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Taylor Tries with Steffy
We’re also going to see Taylor up at Forrester Creations to tell Steffy about Sheila’s request. I don’t see this going well at all. Steffy’s already in angry victim mode because Hope blindsided her. So, this isn’t a great time for any request about Sheila, and I suspect it’s not going to go well at all. In fact, Steffy might be appalled that Taylor even brought this to her. And if she explains that it was the cost of Deacon’s divorce, I don’t think that’s going to impress Steffy at all.
Then on Friday, July 10th, after talking to her daughter, we’re going to see Taylor wondering whether or not Sheila really has changed. Now, we know during the conversation with Taylor and Steffy, Taylor gets a phone call. So, I wonder if it’s some kind of update on what Sheila is up to because Taylor is worried Sheila could turn dark again, especially since Steffy is absolutely not going to give Sheila what she wants out of this.
And Finn finds himself stuck in the middle again on Friday. So, I’m pretty sure that’s between Steffy and Sheila yet again. But Finn makes it clear that his loyalty is to his wife Steffy. Period. And we’re also due for some Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) scenes soon. And I think it would be wild if Finn’s adoptive mom has a kind word for Sheila when talking to her son.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Bill & Ridge Face Off
We’re going to see Ridge march over to the Spencer offices by the end of the week to rant at Bill. I’m sure it’s mostly about Will punching R.J., but also about Katie and Bill luring Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) over to Logan, blaming them for having to postpone Eric’s launch. Probably blaming Bill for the weather and that nagging rash that Ridge has.
Just everything. Mostly though, I think Ridge is going to tell Bill that his son Will is a violent thug just like him. We know that Bill puts his finger right in Ridge’s face, and I hope he tells him that R.J. needs to stay away from Will and that R.J. shouldn’t start things that he can’t finish. It could honestly even get physical between Bill and Ridge over this.
We also have a smug Bill snarking at Ridge that there’s new royalty in LA fashion. And I’m sure he’s going to tell Ridge that the Spencers lied, cheated, and that Logan didn’t play fair to get ahead, blah, blah. I expect him to not care one bit about Ridge’s opinion, and that the dressmaker is going to leave even angrier.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Bill Spencer – Sheila Carter
Bold and the Beautiful: Monaco and Business Rivalries – July 13th Through 17th
Then the week of July 13th through the 17th, we’re going to see Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) settling into the Spencer mansion while Brooke is off at a wellness center trying to drink green juice and meditate herself out of her anger that Hope is making some choices that her mom doesn’t like, which includes working and living elsewhere. And I think Liam, Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), and Hope will be happy in their new place.
Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is still feeling the brunt of Eric’s anger and wants to smooth things over. I’m interested to see if Donna drops in on Hope at Logan or at the mansion, urging her to make things right with Brooke and just go back to Forrester Creations. Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill won’t like that. And I don’t think Steffy and Ridge would take her back. It’s over, right? We’ll see what’s next for Logan and what Katie is planning to follow up on the Hope for the Future launch.
And we could see Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) and Hope already planning new designs, maybe a winter line. Also, waiting to see if anything more comes of Hope passing out cold. I’m still hoping for another Lope baby. Ridge comes back ticked off after his face off with Bill and I’m hoping the Foresters stop whining over a little competition from a startup and they go out and kick some butt. That’s Forrester Creations. They’re legendary. There is no reason for Steffy and Ridge to shut down the jewelry line and put off Eric’s launch just because of Hope and Katie’s little enterprise.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Sheila’s Actions are Life-Changing
Steffy is going to reject what Sheila wants. And then we’re going to hear about Steffy and the Forresters planning a business trip over to Monaco. And she wants Finn to come along with her. This is going to set the stage for a big showdown overseas between Sheila and Steffy. That’s going to change everything between them. All part of her redemption story.
Look for R.J. to probably ditch Dylan (Sydney Bullock) and be full-on pursuing Electra again. I don’t recall Dylan telling Electra that she and R.J. went out, but maybe I forgot. But obviously, he knows that he and Dylan went out and things were getting steamy. R.J. was trying to take things to the bedroom. So, him betraying Dylan for poor pick-me Electra would kind of make R.J. the same kind of guy that he said Will was, right? You know, treating women poorly.
Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) face a crisis in their marriage because of how badly they want a baby and all those negative pregnancy tests. I am expecting infertility issues. And Will’s going to be crushed by Electra refusing to reunite and sticking close to R.J.
I expect Dylan is going to drop by to check on him. And Will and Dylan are going to be having lots more scenes together soon. I just hope Will doesn’t break her heart by going to beg Electra to take him back once they do start seeing each other.
That’s your Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for July 8-17.
Roomies, Rihanna is reminding everyone that motherhood doesn’t clock out—even when the rest of the city is winding down. The music and beauty mogul recently stepped out for what appeared to be a quiet late-night outing with her little ones, but things didn’t exactly go as planned once cameras entered the picture.
Rihanna had all three of her little ones outside as she stepped out for a late-night stroll through New York City. Photos circulating online show the mom of three carrying her 10-month-old daughter, Rocki, in a leopard-print baby carrier while pushing a stroller with her sons, RZA and Riot, riding side by side. What looked like a low-key family walk quickly turned into a paparazzi moment, with photographers trailing the family and snapping away as a bodyguard followed closely behind.
For the outing, Rih kept it effortlessly fly in an oversized striped collared shirt, knee-length black tights, heels, a baseball cap, and black sunglasses. As camera flashes lit up the sidewalk, she appeared to protect baby Rocki by gently holding her close and shielding her head from the lights while steering the stroller with her free hand. Meanwhile, little RZA seemed completely unfazed by the attention, even appearing to give the photographers a small wave as he sat across from Riot.
The Roommates Clocked Every Little Detail
Fans quickly flooded The Shade Room’s Instagram comment section with reactions, and many couldn’t get over the fact that Rihanna was juggling three little ones while walking in heels. The moms also clocked in, joking that once you have kids, designer heels and fancy bags take a back seat because it’s all about Crocs now. Others said they completely understood Rihanna’s late-night parenting grind, while plenty of Roomies couldn’t get over how much her three little ones seem to favor each other.

Rocki Had The Girls Saying “Mini Rih!”
The mother-daughter moments didn’t stop there. Over the weekend, Rihanna and baby Rocki were spotted out together once again, with new photos showing the singer holding her little girl as paparazzi snapped away. Rocki stole plenty of attention in a black-and-white polka dot dress paired with matching black-and-white Vans and adorable hair clips, confidently looking toward the cameras as many fans pointed out she looks just like her momma. Meanwhile, Rihanna kept it effortlessly cool in dark shades with her signature unbothered energy, serving a look that had social media saying she stays that girl.

She teamed the top with a latching lace skirt finished with a cowl waist.
“So this is the base and then there’s a jacket,” Alix continued, revealing the vibe she was going for. “It’s giving princess.”
The Dancing With the Stars alum then put on the double-breasted jacket, which was equipped with shoulder pads. “And then we have some white lace heels to go with this,” she added of her Jimmy Choo pumps. She further accessorized with black sunglasses and a gold watch.
“We’re ready to go watch some tennis!” Alix exclaimed. “Have a drink, have some strawberries and cream!”
For glam, she opted for a “really big, voluminous blowout” and dewy makeup. “I think this is the best my hair has ever looked. I love it,” Alix gushed.

Ashtin, 23, for her part, contrasted her sister’s “princess” look in a sporty white dress with red-and-white stripes on her collar and hem. She wore her brunette hair in an updo with her face-framing pieces out.

“This is not for Wimbledon Alix 😭,” one wrote. Another commented, “You look like you are going for tea not tennis.” A third follower agreed, “You look great but this outfit is just not Wimbledon.”
Ashtin, however, “nailed the Wimbledon style” according to social media users. “Ashtin’s outfit is so Wimbledon. Love!!!” one praised. Another commented, “Ashton’s outfit is very Wimbledon.”

Young and the Restless: Jack’s Attack and Patty’s Rampage – July 8th Through 10th
On Wednesday, July 8th, Billy updates Jill and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on Jack’s condition, saying he lost a lot of blood and things are precarious. Jill is shocked that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is on the loose. And Billy blames Victor for bringing Patty back to town. And Jill agrees that if Victor did do this and brought Patty back, then he should definitely pay for what has happened to Jack. However, Jill wants Billy to focus on Sally and the baby.
And Billy also says that Patty’s shrink Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) is a big reason why Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was charged in Jack’s stabbing. Jill asks about Sally’s company and Billy says she’s running it. He’s not involved. He’s happy with that. And Jill then asks about Cane’s job offer atChancellor because Sally told her about it. Jill doubts that Billy can tolerate answering to Cane at work.
And Billy says Jill is obsessed with Chancellor and he doesn’t think that his mom’s really concerned about him. Jill says that breaks her heart and she’s upset that he didn’t tell her about the baby or engagement with Sally. Billy takes off to take food up to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Diane at the hospital.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jill’s Desperate to Fix Things with Billy
Jill doesn’t want to leave Genoa City while things between them are still unsettled. She also wants to make sure that Jack is okay before she goes. After Billy leaves, Sally tries to smooth things over with Jill. Michael Baldwin (Christian Leblanc) is stunned that Christine Williams Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is not focused on Patty’s horrible violent history and fixation on Jack. Michael says it’s clear that Patty attacked him, but DA Christine insists that Patty is fine and was properly released from the psych hospital.
And Christine says the evidence points to Diane. And Michael insists that Patty’s story is full of holes and is implausible. Christine thinks that Markham is accurate that Diane had a breakdown. And Christine says Michael needs evidence to clear Diane, but he reminds her innocent till proven guilty and it’s her job as DA to find evidence to prove guilt. And Christine is confident that she has it. Michael also says Markham seems sketchy and that shocks Christine. Michael says the shrink held Diane hostage and is as awful as Patty.
And then Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) shows up and Christine takes off. So, Lauren is on her way to meet with Jill and then Michael says things are looking really bad for Diane. And Lauren just can’t believe that Christine is falling for Patty’s nonsense. They worry that Jack won’t wake up in time to save Diane or even worse that Jack won’t wake up at all. Lauren is sure that Michael will find a way to save Diane.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Diane Worries to Kyle
And speaking of her, she is venting to Kyle about Patty being free and she’s worried that Patty will come finish off Jack. So, Diane tells him that Patty set it all up, so the evidence implicates her. And Christine fell for the con job. And Diane says Dr. Markham lied to help set her up. Kyle says he hasn’t even been questioned and he’s her alibi. But Diane thinks that they won’t take Kyle’s word since he’s her son. But she’s really hoping that Jack will wake up and confirm it was Patty who stabbed him.
While Jack is taken for scans, Diane and Kyle decide to go home and pack a bag for Jack. So, Kyle has hired a guard to keep watch outside Jack’s room at the hospital, but the guy isn’t doing a great job because Patty slips into Jack’s room disguised as a nurse. So, Diane and Kyle get that bag packed and they’re ready to rush back.
They are worried about Jack being alone in his room with Patty roaming free. And in Jack’s room, Patty’s talking crazy to her unconscious ex-husband, and she tells Jack that she hates what she has to do. But Patty can’t have Jack waking up and telling the truth about her attacking him. So Patty has a syringe, obviously full of something terrible, and she is ready to inject Jack.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily & Cane Get Closer
Then on Thursday, July 9th, Cane lets Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) see a new side of him. Things are sparking more between them in every single scene they’re in. Cane and Lily meet with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and ask about his plans. And he tells Lily he’s got no idea. So, it looks like Cane is ready to offer Holden a job at Chancellor. And I think Lily is going to absolutely love that.
Meanwhile, Jill is determined to mend her relationship with Billy before she leaves Genoa City. And this may be Lauren Koslow’s last episode as recast Jill, but I really doubt that Billy and Jill are going to fix things before she jets out of town. Kyle decides he has to do something to protect both Jack and Diane on Young and the Restless.
And it looks like Patty is thwarted and Jack isn’t dead despite her trying to attack again. So, I wonder if Kyle goes to see Christine and tells her he found Diane locked inside Markham’s house against her will and helped Diane escape. Because honestly, Christine’s acting like an idiot right now.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Struggles Big Time
Friday, July 10th, Nikki is at home settling in, recovering. But things between her and Victor are far from fixed. And once Nikki finds out about the attack on Jack, obviously she will blame Victor, which is accurate since he brought Patty back to town. Also, Nikki is struggling with the fact that her eyesight still isn’t returning.
Victor announces something that leaves everybody stunned, and I wonder if this is about personal or professional matters. Maybe he is retiring. On Friday, Eileen Davidson makes her return as Ashley. She’s back to Genoa City and Jack is still alive. But if somebody’s not watching carefully, Patty might try and creep back in and try a third time to finish him off. And that’s on top of the couple of other times in history that she has tried to murder Jack.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Abbott – Ashley Abbott
Young and the Restless: Recovery and Relationship Tests – July 13th Through 17th
Then the week of July 13th through the 17th, we’ll see Jack moving on the road to recovery. But until Patty is locked up, he is at risk. And so is his marriage to Diane. Hopefully Jack won’t stay unconscious too long and will wake up and let Christine and the cops know that Patty did indeed stab him and they are dumb for thinking otherwise.
I suspect that Holden accepts Cane’s job offer at Chancellor and I think Billy will also. And I also think that Jill is right and Billy is really going to struggle to answer to Cane as his boss. Everybody will be reeling from Victor’s announcement. We will see reactions from all the Newmans.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is struggling and he was really hoping that his parents would reconcile even though Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) warned him that she didn’t think it was likely. And I think if Nikki blames Victor for the attack on Jack, which again is accurate, all this stress might get to Nick and he may backslide and use again.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashley Reconnects with Her Family
Ashley’s happy to see her family. Even though it’s not under good circumstances, but she won’t be sticking around for very long. She’s going to head back to Paris once Jack is out of the woods.
Cane and Lily take things to the next level soon, and we’ll be getting intimate before too long. And of course, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) is going to rage about that. And even Billy is aggravated that Lily has forgiven Cane and is cuddling up to him again.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) continues to pursue Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and aggravate Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), who may lose it on her. Even worse, Noah’s not setting very clear boundaries between him and Audra. Also, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) get closer. Ew. And Nick’s going to catch them in a compromising position, which is double gross.
That’s your Young and the Restless spoilers for July 8-17.
John Travolta is stealing art and hearts in the new trailer for The Gentleman Thief. He’s a heist veteran who gets drawn in by the score of a lifetime, but soon finds himself caught in a deadly trap. The Gentleman Thief, the final film in a trilogy of crime thrillers starring Travolta as master thief Mason Goddard, will be available on digital and video on demand on July 28, and will hit theaters for a limited engagement on July 31.
In our first look at the trailer, Travolta stars as Goddard, who’s now traded the risks and rewards of his criminal career for a comfortable retirement with his lady love (Rebecca De Mornay, Runaway Train). At least, he has until his brother, Shawn (Lukas Haas, Witness), takes him on a vacation to sunny Miami with an ulterior motive. Once there, he’s greeted with a business opportunity: a painting valued at $100 million USD that’s stored on an offshore yacht. Gooding and his old crew can’t resist, which puts them in the sights of “the most dangerous man in the world” (Sam Asghari, Jackpot!). The film also stars Quavo (Takeover) and DJ Khaled (Bad Boys: Ride or Die).

Your Partner Has Been Assigned Your Perfect Partner Is…
Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.
Rambo
Advertisement
Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.
James Bond
Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.
Indiana Jones
Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane
Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.
Ethan Hunt
Advertisement
Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

What Other Movies Star John Travolta as Mason Goddard?
Travolta first appeared as Goddard in 2024’s Cash Out. In that film, his brother gets the retired Goddard tangled up in a bank robbery that turns out to be a trap set by the FBI — including his partner, Amelia Decker (Kristin Davis), who reveals that she was a mole for the feds the whole time. However, Amelia may have more secrets than anybody knows. In the 2025 sequel High Rollers, Goddard and Amelia (now played by Gina Gershon) get married, only for her to be kidnapped mid-ceremony by a crime kingpin. He wants Goddard and his crew to pull off a high-stakes casino heist, and he won’t take no for an answer.
Like the previous two films in the trilogy, The Gentleman Thief is directed by Randall Emmett, who produced The Irishman. Goddard will also produce with Joel Cohen; the film is executive produced by Rick Moore, Jas Mathur, Jake Brander, Henry Winterstern, Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Daniel M’Causland, and CC Waknine. It is distributed by Vertical Releasing.

The Gentleman Thief will be available on digital and video on demand on July 28, and will screen in select theaters on July 31. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
Summer House earned its very first Emmy Awards nomination on the heels of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s season 10 dating scandal.
The Bravo hit is recognized for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program when the 2026 Emmy nominations were announced on Wednesday, July 8. The category is rounded out by America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Love on the Spectrum, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked and Welcome to Wrexham.
Summer House recently wrapped its 10th season, which ended with the surprising reveal that Amanda, 34, and West, 31, had started dating amid her separation from husband Kyle Cooke.
“While this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” Amanda and West wrote in a joint statement shared in March, two months after the In the City costars announced their breakup. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
Summer House stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s relationship is still going strong — even with the public backlash. “West and Amanda are still dating,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly, revealing that “the cast doesn’t think they’re going to last.” Despite their costars’ doubts about the romance, West, 31, and Amanda, 34, are moving […]
Amanda and West continued at the time, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”

The romance revelation stunned and divided the cast, including Kyle, 43, and Ciara Miller, the latter previously dated West and was close friends with Amanda.
“It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” Ciara, 30, told Glamour in an April profile. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season, it’s a major mindf***.”
She added, “Just know when something’s weird in your gut, there’s a reason. What’s done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don’t even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all.”

According to Ciara, she felt more hurt by Amanda than West.
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she stated to the outlet. “Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”
Amanda and West attempted to come clean about their relationship, denying any overlap, during the three-part reunion that aired in May and June. The duo are not expected to return for season 11.
