on

Characters from the K-drama Boys Over Flowers pose in front of a pastel pink background.

Some K-dramas are popular, while others are truly beloved. They are shows that go beyond demographics, language barriers, and even the passage of time, becoming cultural icons on their own merit. These are the dramas you recommend to a skeptical friend, only to have them return a week later, with dark circles under their eyes and emotionally devastated, but hooked on the K-drama world.

The following six series did more than just set ratings records or launch international careers; they captured the global imagination. Whether it’s the campy, glorious chaos of a high school romance or the subtle, mundane beauty of neighbors sharing side dishes in 1980s Seoul, each of these shows represents a different dimension of K-drama magic. These are the six most universally beloved K-dramas of all time.

‘Boys Over Flowers’ (2009)

Boys Over Flowers is the original K-drama gateway, introducing a generation of international viewers to Korean television. It peaked at a staggering 35.5% viewership in Korea nationwide and became a pan-Asian phenomenon, airing in over 180 countries and catapulting Lee Min-ho to superstardom. The drama inspired multiple international remakes, an original soundtrack that still evokes nostalgia, and a fashion legacy that elevated even everyday looks and fashion across the world, inspiring a so-called flowerboy appearance. Critics may wince, but Boys Over Flowers is untouchable, serving as a cultural artifact and a rite of passage for any K-drama fan.

Boys Over Flowers follows Geum Jan-di (Koo Hye-sun), a working-class girl who saves a bullied student from the prestigious Shinhwa High School and receives a swimming scholarship there, before realizing it’s merely a viper’s nest of privilege and cruelty. There she meets the F4, four obscenely wealthy heirs who rule the school, led by the explosive Gu Jun-pyo (Lee); Jun-pyo torments Jan-di, but she defies him, and he falls hopelessly in love. What follows is a glorious, untamed melodrama featuring amnesia, kidnappings, arranged marriages, and enough longing stares to power a small city. The fashion is, by today’s terms, questionable; the hairstyles and accessories are infamous; and the plot is like a telenovela on fast-forward, but it’s all irresistible.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is an intriguing case study of international versus domestic love. While its Korean ratings were modest, the drama became a staggering international sensation, garnering over two billion views on China’s Youku platform and igniting a fervent global fandom that still seems very active. IU and Lee Joon-gi gave career-defining performances, with Lee’s portrayal of the tortured outcast, Prince Wang So, inspiring numerous fanfictions and art. The show’s original soundtrack was a chart-topping success in its own right, too, while tourism in filming locations increased. It’s a legendary series at this point, and it launched most, if not all, of its main cast into stardom, including Kang Ha-neul and Nam Joo-hyuk, who were arguably already very popular in South Korea.

Moon Lovers follows Go Ha-jin (IU), a modern-day woman dealing with a broken heart, when she nearly drowns during a solar eclipse and ends up in the body of Hae Soo, a Goryeo-era noblewoman. She awakens in a palace teeming with beautiful, dangerous princes (eight in total) and is immediately drawn into a dynastic power struggle. Hae Soo is torn between the gentle warmth of the 8th Prince, Wang Wook (Kang), and the wounded, outcast intensity of the 4th Prince, Wang So (Lee). The romance that comes from her chemistry with Wang So is passionate but merciless, with the K-drama ending with a finale so devastating that it prompted fan petitions for a rewrite/sequel. It’s the K-drama equivalent of a cult classic that transcended its “cult” status, showing that some love stories are universal and forever.

‘Descendants of the Sun’ (2016)

Image via KBS2

Descendants of the Sun has a special cultural impact; it aired simultaneously in China and South Korea, reaching a staggering 38.8% viewership in Korea nationwide and over 2.6 billion views in China. It was the most profitable show of the time, accruing revenue from viewership, sponsorships, advertising, and reruns, and it won the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards, catapulting Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo to superstardom. Their subsequent real-life marriage and divorce only added to the show’s mythology. Fashion and beauty brands associated with the show, in particular Song Hye-kyo’s looks, saw a rise in sales, while Song Joong-ki was declared “Nation’s Husband” in China. Production-wise, this was the first highly popular K-drama that was entirely pre-recorded before airing—many of the most popular shows at the time were filmed while airing.

Descendants of the Sun follows Captain Yoo Si-jin, the leader of a South Korean special forces unit, and trauma surgeon Dr. Kang Mo-yeon, who meet in a hospital emergency room and instantly hit it off. What begins as a flirtatious push-and-pull in Seoul escalates when both are deployed to the fictional war-torn nation of Uruk. The romance that develops between them is a masterclass in old-fashioned, big-sweep melodrama, heightened by the constant threat of danger and death, making every stolen moment feel important. Descendants of the Sun is, above all, a love story about two people whose principles and careers keep getting in the way of their happiness, making it a standout in the romantic drama genre. It may not be the most complex K-drama ever produced, but its sheer euphoric reach throughout Asia and beyond solidifies its place on this list.

Your Assignment Has Been Made
You Belong In…

Your answers have pointed to one fictional hospital above all others. This is the ward your instincts, your temperament, and your particular brand of dysfunction were built for.

Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center

The Pitt

You are built for the most unsparing version of emergency medicine television has ever shown — one that puts you inside a single fifteen-hour shift and doesn’t let you look away.

  • You need your work to be real, not romanticised — meaning over drama, honesty over aesthetics.
  • You find purpose inside the work itself, not in the chaos surrounding it.
  • You’ve made peace with the fact that this job takes from you constantly, and gives back in ways that are harder to name.
  • Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center demands exactly that kind of person — and you would not want to be anywhere else.

County General Hospital, Chicago

ER

You are the person who keeps the whole floor running — not the most brilliant in the room, but possibly the most essential.

  • You show up, do the work, absorb the losses, and come back the next day without needing the job to be anything other than what it is.
  • You care about patients as individual human beings, not as cases to solve or dramas to live through.
  • You believe in the system even when it fails you — and you understand that emergency medicine is about holding the line just long enough.
  • ER is television about endurance. You have it.

Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Seattle

Grey’s Anatomy

You came to medicine with your whole self — your ambition, your emotions, your relationships, your history — and you have never quite managed to leave any of it at the door.

  • You feel things fully and form deep attachments to the people you work with.
  • Your personal and professional lives are permanently, chaotically entangled — and that entanglement drives both your greatest disasters and your most remarkable saves.
  • You understand that extraordinary medicine often happens at the intersection of clinical skill and profound human connection.
  • It’s messy at Grey Sloan. You would not have it any other way.

Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, NJ

House

You are drawn to the problem above everything else — the symptom that doesn’t fit, the diagnosis hiding underneath the obvious one.

  • You’re not primarily motivated by the patient as a person — though you are capable of caring, even if you’d deny it.
  • You work best when the stakes are highest and the standard answer is wrong.
  • Princeton-Plainsboro exists to house one extraordinary, impossible mind — and everyone around that mind is there because they’re smart enough to keep up.
  • The only way forward here is to think harder than everyone else in the room. That is exactly what you do.

Sacred Heart Hospital, California

Scrubs

You understand that medicine is tragic and absurd in almost equal measure — and that the only sane response is to hold both of those things at the same time.

  • You are warm, self-aware, and funnier than most people in your field.
  • You use humour to get through terrible moments — and at Sacred Heart, that’s not a flaw, it’s a survival strategy.
  • You lean on the people around you and let them lean back. The laughter and the grief are genuinely inseparable here.
  • Scrubs is a show about learning to become someone worthy of the job. You are still very much in the middle of that process — which is exactly right.

‘Goblin’ (2016–2017)

Goblin is undoubtedly one of the gems that redefined what a Korean drama could be. The series finale received a near-impossible 20.5% viewership on cable, setting a new record that lasted for years. This is another drama with an iconic original soundtrack that became a phenomenon in its own right, topping charts across Asia and earning platinum status. Gong Yoo and Kim Go-eun‘s chemistry wowed international audiences, while Lee Dong-wook‘s grim reaper became so iconic that the actor’s career skyrocketed. The show received the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards and dominated the year-end ceremonies, winning 26 awards in total.

Goblin follows Kim Shin (Gong), a 939-year-old man cursed with immortality and an invisible sword lodged in his chest, which can only be pulled out by a human bride who sees it, eventually granting him death. His bride appears in the form of Ji Eun-tak (Kim), a naturally upbeat senior high school student who can see the dead and claims to be the one he has been waiting for. A grim reaper with amnesia (Lee) shares Kim Shin’s large home with him, and he quickly falls for a sunny chicken shop owner with her own secrets. This dense, fantastical premise should collapse under its own weight, but instead it becomes a meditation on mortality, memory, and the unbearable pain of loving someone you are doomed to lose. It is, quite simply, the fantasy romance K-drama against which all others are now measured, and its emotional devastation is the type that audiences actively seek to experience over and over.

The almost immediate global response to Crash Landing on You was unprecedented; it spent 22 weeks on Netflix’s global top ten list, becoming the platform’s third most-watched non-English series at the time. It broke viewership records in Korea and Japan and sparked countless parodies, fashion guides, and even real-life travel inquiries about the Swiss village where the bittersweet finale takes place. The romance between Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin felt so genuine and electric that, when the two actors married in real-life, fans celebrated it as a collective win. Crash Landing on You received numerous Baeksang nominations and a Seoul International Drama Award, but its true legacy is simpler: it was the drama that consoled a divided world, reminding millions that love can cross any border, even if only in their imaginations.

Crash Landing on You follows Yoon Se-ri (Son), a South Korean chaebol heiress and fashion mogul who tests a paragliding suit one day and is caught in a freak tornado; she wakes up tangled in a tree in the North Korean demilitarized zone. Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun), an elite North Korean officer, discovers Se-ri and decides, against all logic, to hide her in his village near the border and help smuggle her back home. What follows is a love story so epic and seemingly impossible that it serves as a metaphor for every political, emotional, and familial barrier that separates two people. The North Korean village setting, complete with squads of goofy soldiers and gossipy ladies, brought warmth to the series and humanized one of the world’s most isolated countries. The show is also frequently credited with sparking a new Korean Wave, and we could argue that Crash Landing on You is responsible for many of the modern K-dramas of the 2020s.

‘Reply 1988’ (2015–2016)

Reply 1988 not only succeeded but also inspired awe. Its final episode received a 19.6% cable rating, breaking the record that was later surpassed by Goblin. More remarkably, Reply 1988 sparked an annual rewatch ritual across South Korea (and even some other countries), proving its extraordinary emotional impact. The show’s nostalgic recreation of 1980s Korea, including the Olympic spirit, the music, the food, and the fashion, sparked a retro craze (“newtro”) that increased sales of everything from tracksuits to vintage sneakers. It won the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards and has been voted the best Korean drama of all time by countless critics. Its true achievement, however, is more profound: it shows viewers that the most epic story ever told is unfolding right here, within us.

Reply 1988 takes place on a single, unremarkable street in Seoul’s Dobong district in the late 1980s, where five families with teenage children live lives of ordinary, exquisite humanity. Reply 1988 lacks a central conflict, a supervillain, or a fateful curse, instead featuring neighbors sharing food through open doors, teenagers obsessed with cassette tapes and first loves, and parents who are equally concerned with money and each other. The plot revolves around Sung Duk-seon (Lee Hye-ri) and the four boys who grow up alongside her, one of whom will become her husband—a mystery that the show keeps until the final episode. When the finale returns to the alley for the final time with the signature voiceover, it’s laced with nostalgia and sadness that will still make you happy; the ending adds to the reasons why Reply 1988 is the best Korean drama ever made.

This kit isn’t a quick one-and-done process. It comes with 20 treatments and is actually designed to deliver gradual results over time using the same enamel-safe whitening ingredient that dentists use to remove years of surface stains caused by coffee, tea, wine and other everyday foods and drinks. Still, it’s foolproof to use: apply the strips to clean, dry teeth, leave them on for 45 minutes and remove them when finished. The brand recommends using the product once a day for 20 days for best results.

Brand New Day’ Eyes $1 Billion in Phenomenal Global Box-Office Debut

Published

on

Spider-Man-Brand-New-Day-Tom-Holland-2

While there may have been concerns after the utter domination of Christopher Nolan‘s latest epic, The Odyssey, Sony can rest easy as Spider-Man: Brand New Day is tracking to deliver a humongous box-office haul in its opening weekend. Both movies feature Tom Holland; he plays the titular character’s son in The Odyssey and everyone’s favorite web-slinger in the upcoming superhero movie. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is Holland’s fourth solo film as the character; he has now played Spider-Man in more movies than any other actor. But the new movie has big shoes to fill, especially after the landmark performance of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed around $260 million domestically and approximately $600 million worldwide in its opening frame back in 2021. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is projected to beat these numbers.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie has received excellent early reactions and is currently sitting at a “Certified Fresh” 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has already earned more than $100 million worldwide in pre-sales. By comparison, Spider-Man: No Way Home ended its run with more than $1.9 billion worldwide without getting a China release. The middle movie in the previous trilogy, Spider-Man: Far From Home, grossed more than $1.1 billion globally, while Holland’s first solo Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, made nearly $900 million worldwide. All three previous movies were made by Jon Watts, with the third installment earning the best reviews. Spider-Man: No Way Home, which also brought back Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire‘s versions of the superhero in a euphoric team-up, holds a “Certified Fresh” 93% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

Netflix’s Hit ‘Yellowstone’ Replacement Series Is Officially Taking Over Streaming

Coming off the well-received Little House on the Prairie, which is still charting worldwide, Netflix is re-engaging the Yellowstone fanbase with the second season of Ransom Canyon. Starring Minka Kelly and Josh Duhamel, Ransom Canyon is perhaps the most overt attempt that Netflix made to lure the Yellowstone loyalists away from Paramount+. The streamer famously passed on Taylor Sheridan’s magnum opus, which has become something of a platform-defining hit for Paramount+ and has spawned numerous spin-offs. The most recent Yellowstone sequels, Dutton Ranch and Marshals, have emerged as hits in their own right.

There is a massive audience for neo-Westerns out there, and Netflix can’t just be a spectator in this gold rush. Ransom Canyon premiered in April 2025 to solid viewership but lukewarm reviews, with many calling it a pale imitation of the real deal. The first season holds a 45% score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Inviting one too many unflattering comparisons to more compelling dramas, Ransom Canyon is a serviceable binge for fans of rustic soap operas but a middling example of the genre.”

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

The second season, which debuted on Netflix on July 23, has already found a spot on the global top 10. According to FlixPatrol, the show replaced the holdover hit I Will Find You to claim the number one spot on Netflix’s domestic viewership chart. Netflix revealed that the show’s second season debuted with 4 million views in its first week. However, the reviews are still not where Netflix would like them to be. The second season currently holds a 40% score on Rotten Tomatoes. By comparison, Dutton Ranch is sitting at a “Certified Fresh” 89% score on the aggregator, while even the worst-rated season of Yellowstone — Season 1 — managed a 58% score. Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie, which offers an alternative to the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, currently holds a “Certified Fresh” 80% on the aggregator. The consensus for the show reads, “Little House on the Prairie dusts off the 70s and enters a new era of conscious creation and adaptation, striking the right balance between nostalgia and inspiration to craft a new and enlivened path for itself.”

Ransom Canyon Season 2 is streaming no on Netflix. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Noah Kahan Shares How He Stays Focused On Health Goals

Published

on

Noah Kahan at Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Opening Ceremony, Vancouver, Canada - 8 Jan 2025

Singer Noah Kahan is opening up about his health journey like never before.

In a new interview, the 29-year-old detailed his new routine and shared the “ultimate cheat code” that’s helped him stay committed and focused on his goals.

Elsewhere in the interview, Noah Kahan, known for his single “Stick Season,” also got candid about how he protects his mental health, crediting his therapist for helping keep him “healthy” while he’s out on the road.

While speaking with E! News, Kahan said he’s recently approached his fitness journey with a different perspective, stating that while he’s on his “own health journey,” he’s trying to find foods and drinks that not only taste good but also make him feel good.

Consequently, Kahan has been drinking probiotic soda, which he said he “loves,” and he gushed about its “natural” taste, which doesn’t make him feel sick or bloated. “It’s just a really good probiotic soda,” he said.

Noah Kahan Shares The ‘Ultimate Cheat Code’ He’s Discovered While On His New Journey

Kahan explained that swapping unhealthy foods for foods that still let him scratch his craving itch has made a huge difference in his day-to-day life.

“The ultimate cheat code in life is to find the vices that are inconsequential to your health, right?” he said.

And while the “Great Divide” singer has been enjoying various foods that taste just as good as his previous unhealthy snacks, he said he’s learning how to enjoy his new finds without feeling guilty.

“And sometimes I feel like I have to stop myself when I’m drinking [one of my probiotic sodas]. I’m like, ‘I’m doing something bad,’ and I’m worried that my old middle school principal [is] watching me or something. And it’s like ‘No, this is good for you, and it’s good, and those two things can coexist at the same time,” he said.

Noah Kahan Previously Said He’s Spent Too Much Time ‘Hating’ Himself

This isn’t the first time that Kahan has spoken freely about his struggles with health and wellness. While appearing on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, the indie-folk singer said he’s spent a majority of his life wishing he were someone else.

“I worry that I’ve just wasted so much time hating who I am,” he confessed. “Like I wake up and I’m like, ‘Why do I feel like s–t?’ I’m pissed. It’s a beautiful morning. The birds are f—ing chirping. It’s beautiful outside. Career success aside, I have this lovely little life, and I wish I could wake up and not be miserable for no reason; it feels like, sometimes.”

Kahan went even further, telling Shetty that he’s battled body dysmorphia, a mental health condition in which a person can’t stop thinking about perceived defects or flaws in their appearance, according to the Mayo Clinic, since he was young. He even detailed it during the Netflix documentary “Out of Body.”

“It really came out in the documentary, and watching that back is like, even my mom was just like, I had no idea,” he said. “It’s just this thing that is there within me. And yeah, really difficult concept because it’s so tied up in who you are and the feelings you’ve had since you were a kid that it’s hard to describe the body dysmorphia problem succinctly. It’s complicated, man.”

How Is Kahan Taking Care Of Himself While Touring?

Kahan is currently on “The Great Divide” tour, stopping in cities across the world and performing some of his biggest hits for thousands of fans.

He told E! News that to help keep his body and soul in tip-top shape, he’s taking extra precautions, such as speaking to a therapist once a week.

“I [also] make sure I’m staying healthy in the gym and eating well as well as I can. I like to journal and just kind of like try to remind myself of different gratitudes I have for all of it,” he said.

Kahan Is Learning To Be Honest

And speaking of gratitude, Kahan explained that while he’s experienced an abundance of that on his current tour, he’s also learning not to be “locked” in that place, adding that it’s just as important to be honest about his feelings not only with himself, but with those around him.

“The dialogue I have with my band and my crew, my family; always being open and honest, and just letting kind of how we feel be part of the discussion every day,” he stated. “We have a really serious backdrop of mental health on this tour, and that’s been really special.”

You may have noticed that we love comfy, easy-going fashion pieces, especially in the summertime. If we could, we’d always wear bohemian chic clothing that feels effortlessly cool, relaxed and rich — and clearly, we’re not the only ones. Everyone from ‘It’ girls to celebrities like Sienna Miller, Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba and more are donning ’70s-inspired styles for the season, making it the trend to watch (and copy).

As a little refresher, ’70s summer fashion is all about loose, billowy clothing with floral patterns, ruffles, lace and other folky accents that feel true to the bohemian era of peace and love. And while the style can skew a bit costumey, these high-end-looking options are anything but. We only pulled items that look trendy yet can weave into your existing summer wardrobe. Plus, they’re from brands you and A-listers love, like Free People, Gap, Mango, Topshop and more.

15 Trending ’70s Summer Fashion Pieces

1. Our Favorite: Feel groovy and modern at the very same time when you slip on this floral maxi dress. The puffed sleeves, tiered skirt and vintage-esque color palette feel just right in 1976 and 2026.

2. Laid-Back Luxe: Crochet tops may be super popular right now, but they were also a huge trend in the ’70s. Amplify the woven pattern with a drawstring front and bell sleeves, and you’re ready to hit the local record store.

3. Top Seller:
While we love a classic blue denim look, these beige bell bottoms feel more aligned with the free spirit vibes. The high waist and extended leg style looks like something Farrah Fawcett would totally wear.

4. Soft Statement: Peasant-style tops may be synonymous with cottagecore vibes, but that trend is really part of an old-school revival. This peasant-inspired dress delivers a vintage appearance that we could see being worn to outdoor concerts and farmers’ markets alike.

5. Everyday Essential: Another style Fawcett wore? Raglan tees. They’re cool, chill and so ’70s. We love the red cap sleeve moment, however, it also comes in blue and brown options.

Apparently, Simone Biles and Avril Lavigne have unfinished business from Taylor Swift‘s wedding!

The world-class gymnast attended the very private wedding ceremony between the singer and her NFL player beau, Travis Kelce, earlier in the month, and is revealing that a famous vocalist parted with one of her prized possessions.

Simone Biles attended the wedding at Madison Square Garden, accompanied by her husband, Jonathan Owens, and dressed to impress in a stunning red number by Vietnamese designer Đỗ Long.

The Olympic medalist detailed the unexpected moment she discovered her expensive eyewear was no longer in her possession as she enjoyed the night at Swift and Kelce’s wedding ceremony.

Biles and her NFL player husband joined hundreds of other celebrities from the sports and music world to witness the lovebirds exchange their vows. On Sunday, July 26, during an appearance at the Faces of Fitness festival in Chicago, the athlete revealed that Lavigne might have unknowingly left the venue with her prized eyewear.

As shared by US Weekly, she added that she eventually reached out on Instagram with a light-hearted message asking if the accessory could be returned, but she does not think the “Complicated” singer has seen it yet. Biles’ story about her missing eyeglasses continues to complete the puzzle of things that may have gone down at Swift and Kelce’s union.

The Olympic Gold Medalist’s Dress Won Hearts At The ‘Shake It Off’ Singer’s Wedding

While her eyewear remains unreturned, the athlete can take solace that her statement-making dress left a lasting impression on internet users.

The outfit, which includes a halter neckline with a half-open back, created an optical illusion of rippling chainmail, with layers of leather interwoven with silver metallic jewels and red eyelets.

Biles paired her look with silver accessories, matching purses, and heels, styling her hair in a high bun with a side-swept fringe detail. Owens matched her aesthetic in a burgundy-and-black suit, prompting fans to gush endlessly about their flawless styling and appearance.

“The epitome of perfection. You’ve earned it all! Truly stunning and pure grace,” impressed fans wrote, declaring that Biles has set the bar high for beauty.

Tom Cruise Left The Biggest Impression On The Wedding Guests Per Marcello Hernández

Swift and Kelce’s wedding was a gift that kept on giving, and it did give two guests an unexpected brush with Tom Cruise. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” alongside Kevin Hart, Marcello Hernández said the biggest surprise of the night wasn’t the star-studded guest list but getting the chance to chat with Cruise.

The SNL comedian shared with host Andy Cohen that the two bonded over growing up in households surrounded by women, calling the conversation one of the highlights of the evening. As noted by PEOPLE, Hart then jokingly teased Hernández for supposedly sneaking videos despite the wedding’s no-phone policy.

Hernández quickly laughed it off and insisted he never broke the rules, even playfully addressing Kelce to clear his name. Former NFL star Greg Olsen also had a memorable encounter at the superstar’s wedding.

In his podcast, days after the wedding, Olsen said he remembers that at the cocktail hour, Cruise went out of his way to compliment his hat, and a conversation started outside the men’s restroom that lasted but a few moments.

Joe Buck Recalled Emotional Moments At The Most Talked About Union

The American sports commentator detailed another memorable moment at the duo’s wedding, which began as soon as the groom laid eyes on Swift for the first time while she took a walk down the aisle. Appearing on The Athletic’s Starkville podcast, the veteran sportscaster recalled that Kelce became visibly emotional throughout the ceremony.

USA Today noted that Buck recalled the NFL star first tearing up as his nieces walked down the aisle before becoming even more overwhelmed when Swift made her entrance. Buck also commended the length, sincerity, humor, and personal commitment in the couple’s vows.

He revealed that the ceremony felt genuine, leaving him convinced the July 3 celebration at Madison Square Garden was the couple’s official wedding rather than a symbolic event. The reception was equally special, as he had the chance to meet Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Scarlett Johansson.

Paul McCartney’s “I Want to Hold Your Hand” was another highlight of the night for the media personality. He noted that despite an estimated 1000 people present, he spent the night wondering who would come along and tell him he was not supposed to be there.

Not just for the happiest days of their lives, Swift also showed up for Biles during one of the lowest moments of her career as a gymnast. As reported by The Blast, when Biles announced her decision to step back from several events at the Tokyo Olympics due to mental health reasons, Swift was there to lift her.

The singer praised Biles’ courage in a promotional video, commending her willingness to be so open about her struggles. She described that move as a remarkable part of her encouraging story and journey, which has made her a champion and an inspiration.

Biles responded to the gesture, thanking Swift for her thoughtful words, which moved her emotionally. Swift added that the gymnast’s lifestyle had taught her valuable lessons about resilience and emotional strength.

Since making that decision in 2021, Biles had remained open about mental health topics and prioritized therapy. Although she made a remarkable return and dominated the charts at the Paris Olympics, winning three gold medals and one silver, she is still on the fence about competing in 2028.

Why Harry Jowsey Decided To Drop Playboy Lifestyle

Published

on

Harry Jowsey at Borderlands LA Fan event

Harry Jowsey is embracing a new era after gaining fame as a playboy on multiple dating shows.

The reality TV star is the male lead in Netflix’s latest dating show, “Let’s Marry Harry,” which premieres on August 5. As the name suggests, it follows Jowsey’s journey to find a wife.

As for why Harry Jowsey finally decided to settle down, a heartbreaking incident became the turning point of his life. He opened up about the tragedy and more in a new heart-to-heart interview.

The “Too Hot to Handle” alum has starred in multiple dating shows, but he doesn’t believe his efforts to find love make him a playboy. “It couldn’t be more inaccurate,” Jowsey declared, noting that he accepted the title in the past before realizing it wasn’t the real him.

Jowsey accepted that he hadn’t “shown up in the most respectful ways,” but at 29 he could no longer maintain the flirtatious womanizer persona. However, age wasn’t the primary reason the entertainer decided to change; he credited his father’s passing with his epiphany.

His dad died from a terminal illness in 2024, with Jowsey telling US Weekly the moment was the wake-up call he needed to change. “Being with my dad as he passed and having a final conversation with him saying, ‘I wish you could meet my children,’ was such a humanizing experience,” he recalled, adding:

“[I was like,] ‘This is something I’ve neglected and something I need to put energy and time into.’”

The Reality TV Star Became Serious About Love Following His Dad’s Death

Jowsey explained that losing his dad made him realize it was time to be more serious about life and love. Additionally, watching his sisters enjoy their husbands’ support while grieving and having their children be “the best distraction” from the pain fueled his motivation to settle down.

“Everyone has a moment where it clicks, and unfortunately mine was my dad dying,” Jowsey lamented. When asked if his parents’ divorce and tumultuous relationship had affected his perspective on love, the entertainer confessed there was a time he thought love needed friction.

According to Jowsey, in his early 20s he believed if his partner wasn’t yelling at him, then there was something wrong in their relationship. But these views changed when he started going on dating shows, and realized love didn’t have to be like his parents’ relationship.

More About The Netflix Star’s New Marriage Show

Jowsey made good on his decision to shed the playboy image by starring on Netflix’s new marriage show. “Let’s Marry Harry,” set to premiere on August 5, follows the TV personality’s journey to find a wife among 20 potential suitors.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the streaming giant described the show as “The Bachelor” meets “Too Hot to Handle,” but with a twist. Instead of relying on his own judgment to find a wife, Jowsey’s longtime pals would help him find the perfect match.

“Dancing With The Stars” alum Amanda Kloots, “Too Hot to Handle” star Georgia Hassarati, and abstract artist Sonny Henty star alongside Jowsey to help him find a wife. The unscripted series is produced by Alex Cooper’s Unwell company, with executive producers Matt Kaplan, Mina Lefevre, and showrunner David Friedman.

The Entertainer Once Declared He Was Willing To Settle Down For A Renowned Singer

The buzz around Jowsey’s new reality TV show started last year, with The Blast reporting that he claimed he would happily tie the knot with a particular singer. In September 2025, he was stopped by reporters at LAX airport, who questioned him about the upcoming show.

The TV personality declared he was fully committed to walking down the aisle but admitted the contestants might not stand a chance if Sia joined the show. He described the “Chandelier” hitmaker as one of the most “incredible people” he knew, implying they had a close relationship.

On the other hand, Sia gave mixed vibes about tying the knot with Jowsey. Earlier that year, she promoted the marriage show on social media, calling women to apply to be the entertainer’s wife. “I’m signing up and so should you… He’s a dream,” she captioned the post.

Inside Harry Jowsey’s Past Relationships

Before deciding to settle down, Jowsey had been in multiple relationships. While starring on the New Zealand dating show “Heartbreak Island” in 2018, he began dating fellow contestant Georgia Bryers and won the season they were competing in.

PEOPLE reported that the reality TV star claimed they drifted apart because Bryers didn’t like the attention Jowsey received from women. He moved on with Francesca Farago while filming season one of “Too Hot to Handle” in 2019, but they split that same summer.

Although they reconciled months later, the duo parted ways a second time in 2020. Then Jowsey enjoyed a summer romance with influencer Julia Rose in 2020, followed by Georgia Hassarati in 2022 and Jessica Vestal in 2023, among others.

As flames were put out, the bodies of 39-year-old Mandy Karolkiewicz, a 5-year-old boy, an 11-year-old boy, a 12-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and two 11-year-old adopted girls were found inside the home (the two 11-year-old girls were adopted).

“The investigation shows that this was a murder-suicide, with a fire being started after the murders,” deputies noted in a press release.

Additionally, Captain Sparks noted the incident as an “unspeakable tragedy.”

“This is an unspeakable tragedy that we may never completely understand why it happened. But we will do our best to find the answers and to honor the memory of those victims,” he said.

The authorities believe that Karolkiewicz, 47, shot and killed his wife and their six children before he set the home on fire and shot himself dead. Multiple pets also died in the fire, including several dogs and one cat.

Kristopher Karolkiewicz Lost His Job Before The Murder-Suicide

Karolkiewicz reportedly worked remotely as a national vice president of sales and marketing for the American Heart Association. However, the AHA confirmed that he was employed from September 2023. However, his employment ended earlier this month for an undisclosed reason, per News 8.

The police are still investigating the murder-suicide, which Sparks said will be “thorough, detailed, complete.”

“We’re trying to get answers for the family. We’re trying to get answers for the community. We’re trying to get answers for our own responders. And the only way to get those answers is to do a full, fair, thorough, detailed, complete investigation,” he said. “That takes some time.”

Family Friend Says Karolkiewicz Was Fired

According to WZZM13, a family friend said that Karolkiewicz had been fired from the American Heart Association several weeks before the murder-suicide.

In addition, the company noted that his “employment ended” in July of this year. Mandy worked at Grand Haven Area Schools as a substitute teacher.

“Mandy goes above and beyond for students, especially when they’re having a hard day, responding with empathy, patience, and care,” read a post on Facebook from January. “She pours her heart into her work, is always willing to help wherever needed, and helps make Peach Plains a better place to learn and work.”
