Marc Anthony Breaks Silence on Brooklyn Beckham Family Drama
Ā
Marc Anthony is speaking out for the first time after finding himself pulled into the Beckham family feud.
āI have nothing to say about whatās happening with the family,ā the singer, 57, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, February 9. āTheyāre a wonderful, wonderful family. Iāve known them since before the kids were born. Iām godfather to Cruz. Iām really close to the family.ā
Anthony added, āBut I have nothing to say about what happened there. Itās extremely unfortunate how itās playing out ā but [how itās playing out] is hardly the truth.ā
The Grammy winner was mentioned in Brooklyn Beckhamās explosive statement speaking out against his family last month. Anthony performed at Brooklynās April 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz Beckham.
In a January 21 statement shared via Instagram Stories, Brooklyn, 26, accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of dancing inappropriately with him on his wedding day.
āMy mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,ā Brooklyn wrote in part. āIn front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. Iāve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.ā

During an appearance on the U.K.ās This Morning program later in January, wedding DJ Fat Tony shed more light on Anthonyās performance at the nuptials and the alleged moment between Victoria, 51, and Brooklyn.
āThere was no slut-dropping, there was no black PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girl action,ā Tony said. āWhat it was [and] why I said it was inappropriate, as well, was because ⦠it was the timing.ā
He continued, āMarc Anthony was performing onstage. He then called Brooklyn onto the stage [who] went onto the stage where everyoneās expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance, then Marc Anthony asks āthe most beautifulest woman in the roomā to come to the stage and then he says, āVictoria.āā
Tony said that Brooklyn appeared ādevastated,ā while Nicola, 31, left the venue ācrying her eyes out.ā
āBrooklynās stuck there onstage, and then they do this dance,ā Tony claimed. āMarc Anthonyās, like, āPut your hands on your motherās hips,ā and it was a Latin thing. The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.ā
In his statement, Brooklyn detailed his rift with his family, including parents Victoria and David, 50, and said that he did not want to reconcile. (Victoria and David also share Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.)
āI do not want to reconcile with my family. Iām not being controlled, Iām standing up for myself for the first time in my life,ā Brooklyn wrote, claiming that his parents have ācontrolled narratives in the pressā about the family his āentire life.ā
āSince the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, lāve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders,ā he alleged.
Neither David nor Victoria has publicly addressed Brooklynās claims. Us Weekly reached out to representatives for the couple at the time.

17 Amazon Finds I Used to Refresh My 64-Year-Old Momās Style
Us Weekly has affiliate partnerships. We receive compensation when you click on a link and make a purchase. Learn more!
My momās style has always been simple, comfortable and unfussy, built around easy-to-wear pieces that make getting dressed a breeze. Still, as someone who works in fashion, I wanted to help her upgrade her closet, modernizing her options without sacrificing the relaxed, boutique vibe she loves. The goal wasnāt to change her look entirely, but to make small, quality updates that quietly elevate what she already wears.
Thatās why I rounded up these 17 chic Amazon finds ā a mix of everyday staples and subtle upgrades that add polish to familiar outfits. From cuffed-hem jeans and comfy tunic tops to matching sets she can wear on repeat, each option works seamlessly with her existing closet. Even better, I kept each pick under $50 so that she wouldnāt blow her budget.
Amazon Finds That Helped My 64-Year-Old Mom Refresh Her Style
Tops
1. My Favorite: With more than 2,300 five-star ratings, Autometās comfy tunic top felt like an easy recommendation for my mom. The ribbed knit fabric and relaxed fit align perfectly with her laid-back style while still adding interest to her outfits.
2. Everyday Essential: This V-neck henley is the kind of easy, weekend-ready top my mom gravitates toward, but the wine color gives it a luxe twist. It layers effortlessly under cardigans and pairs just as well with jeans and sneakers.
3. Stand-Out Sleeves: I picked this lace-sleeve blouse to gently encourage my mom to try something a little different. It keeps the comfort-first feel she loves while adding just a hint of fun.
4. Really Relaxed: With its soft fabric and relaxed silhouette, this boutique-style top fits right into my momās wardrobe, yet is a tad different from the stuff she already owns. Itās the kind of piece that instantly makes jeans feel a little more polished.
5. Checkered Moment: Rather than pushing a trend, I liked this checkered cap-sleeve sweater for the texture it adds. It keeps her neutral palette interesting without asking her to step outside her comfort zone.
6. Polished Puff-Sleeve: This pick felt like a nice way to soften my momās everyday basics. The puff-sleeve style adds a feminine finish, but the simple silhouette keeps it easy and practical.
Jeans and Pants
7. My Favorite: These army green pants are so my momās style. She loves the color, and the barrel-leg silhouette gives them a modern twist.
8. Classic Cuffs:Ā Kunmiās cuffed-hem jeans feel like my momās usual style, just slightly upgraded. The timeless silhouette keeps them practical, and shoppers rave about the stretchiness and how well they wash.
9. Wide-Leg Winner: I could immediately picture my mom swapping out her denim for this standout style. The muted green fits right into her closet, and the wide-leg silhouette is flattering rather than baggy.
10. Perfect Pant: A pull-on, slim-fit pant is exactly the style Iād recommend my mom wear to work. This one isnāt too stiff and comes in various lengths, while the rich mocha color feels chic and professional.
Shoes
11. My Favorite: These suede clog mules are the ultimate easy mom shoe. The neutral color pairs perfectly with the army green pants above, and the memory-foam insole checks her comfort box.
12. Luxe Loafers: My mom has never been big on loafers, but Amazonās sleek pair feels subtle enough for her taste. The leather finish and pointed toe make them more elevated rather than schoolgirl, and theyāre to mix and match with what she already owns.
13. Snazzy Sneakers: Iāll admit, these retro-style sneakers are a bit outside my momās go-to picks ā and thatās exactly why I like them! They add a polished, fashionable finish to her jeans-and-T-shirt uniform.
Loungewear
14. My Favorite: This coffee-colored set feels like something my mom would grow to love on travel and lounge days. Itās a slight departure from her usual style, but the soft, stretchy feel makes it an easy sell.
15. Laid Back-Luxe: The vintage-inspired feel of this Free People-style set immediately made me think of my mom. The button-front top is also easy enough to style separately with jeans or even balance out a printed skirt.
16. Rich-Looking: I loved this contrast-knit set for my mom because while itās neutral and easy to throw on, the subtle hem detailing makes it feel elevated rather than typical loungewear.
17. Comfort MVP: I could see my mom packing PrettyGardenās comfy matching combo for a trip. . . and never taking off. It has that cozy, broken-in feel she loves, but still looks elevated enough to wear straight from errands to coffee.

From āThe āBurbsā Set, Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall React to That Bonkers Finale Reveal
[Editor’s note: The following contains major spoilers for the Peacock TV series The ‘Burbs.]
Summary
When you write about television and you love learning about what goes into the production of a TV show, thereās nothing like the experience of driving onto a studio lot and walking around outdoor and soundstage sets where you can tell every little detail has been thought about and discussed with multiple departments. On June 12, 2025, Collider (along with three other media outlets) got the opportunity to head over to the Universal Studios Hollywood back lot to visit the set of the Peacock series The āBurbs, starring Keke Palmer, whoās also an executive producer, and Jack Whitehall. The eight-episode whodunnit comedy from creator Celeste Hughey, inspired by the 1989 movie starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher, is set in present-day suburbia and follows a young couple who have reluctantly moved into the husbandās childhood home in the cul-de-sac he grew up in.
Samira (Palmer) and Rob Fisher (Whitehall) move onto a street that promises to be the safest place to live, but the quiet little neighborhood quickly proves to be much more as old secrets come to light and a sense of danger looms. A new neighbor moves into the creepy Victorian across the street, and Rob along with his best friend Naveen (Kapil Talwalkar) are reminded of someone they once knew. A trio of nosy but well-meaning neighbors ā Lynn (Julia Duffy), Dana (Paula Pell), and Tod (Mark Proksch) ā with secrets of their own help Samira and Rob get to the bottom of whatās going on in Hinkley Hills while also uncovering the fact that things may not be as safe as theyāve been told.
At a studio like Universal, next to the soundstages on the back lot are a variety of streets and locations that could be dressed to look like theyāre anywhere, in any time period. While The āBurbs TV series and movie were shot in the same houses on Colonial Street, previously known as Mayfield Place, but now called Ashfield Place, nothing is an exact replica, helping establish the fact that this is not a sequel. Even so, there are Easter eggs and nods to the movie, as well as fun little details of their own that theyāve sprinkled throughout.
Joe Danteās 1989 Movie āThe ‘Burbsā Inspired This Seth MacFarlane-Produced Mystery Series
All eight episodes of The āBurbs are now available to stream on Peacock, but executive producer Seth MacFarlane originally had the intention of making another movie when he first got the idea for the re-imagining. When he and his fellow Fuzzy Door EPs Erica Huggins and Aimee Carlson were discussing their favorite movies from that era, they realized that the cult favorite was definitely one of them.
āIt was Covid, there wasnāt a lot happening, and he felt like maybe this was a movie you could make on the back lot at Universal with 25 people and get away with it,ā said Huggins on set during a break from filming the season finale. Cut to a year later, we couldnāt get the deal done ⦠Covid kept continuing on, and we all got busy with something else.ā
But that wasnāt the end of it, and The āBurbs came back around after the strikes when they thought it might work better as a TV series. Added Huggins, āAfter Covid, there was the idea of neighborhoods, how you know your neighbors, and what your neighbors mean to you. Since we were all at home and walking the streets of our neighborhoods, creepy houses that have always felt like a little bit of a blight on those neighborhoods made you wonder, āWhoās in there? Whatās in there?ā It heightened the paranoia from living through Covid.ā
Once the idea was in place and they were ready to move forward with the TV series, the next to sign on was showrunner Hughey, who immediately knew Palmer was the only person that she could imagine as Samira. āIt was important for me to tell a fish-out-of-water story about a Black woman and a new mother, and experience the world through her eyes,ā she said. ā[Keke] is the perfect person to do that.ā
āThe ‘Burbsā Movie and the TV Show Are Both of Their Time, With the Peacock Version Having More of a Modern Edge
While The āBurbs still has a creepy new neighbor in the foreboding Victorian on the opposite side of the street, they didnāt want to just do a repeat of the Klopeks from the movie. They also decided to reclaim the Munster mansion and transform it into the Victorian, as the Klopek house instead became a normal residence for Naveen. āYour way in is, āWhat is this new creepy family doing?,āā explained Carlson. āThatās a great engine for the season, but as it unfolds, we reveal new mysteries about the characters. Thatās the beauty of a television show that you donāt get to do if you only have two hours. Thatās where a lot of the fun surprises in the series come from.ā
In case you were wondering, they did send movie director Joe Dante the script for the pilot and Huggins said that he loved it and was happy that somebody was doing something with it, and that he wished them well on their journey with it. Added Hughey, who also wrote the pilot, ā1989 was a very different time in the country. There was a little bit more fear of the foreign ⦠and the Klopeks were a foreign family that people were unsure of. Because of the Covid of it all, weāve had to know our neighbors and understand and rely on each other. That was more the essence of our show and how we interact with the world now. Itās about trying to find common ground with everyone around you, which is possible.ā
This time around, the creepy neighbor is Gary (Justin Kirk), whose odd and suspicious behavior sets off alarm bells for Samira as she starts to poke around. Thankfully, Samira isnāt alone in her interest in the cul-de-sac tea, and sheās quickly joined by Lynn (Duffy), whoās very familiar with the neighborhoodās history, Dana (Pell), a blunt and direct retired Marine, Tod (Proksch), whoās equal parts socially awkward and very observant.
āYou donāt choose your neighbors,ā said Carlson when talking about the ensemble surrounding Palmer. āItās inherently diverse in who they are as people, but also their personalities. Itās everything you want in an ensemble show. Theyāre all really distinct from one another and those conflicts obviously drive a lot of comedy.āāāāā
Added Huggins, āThe tribe of characters that weāve built around Keke are unusual and interesting in their own right, and they are all carrying a secret that we reveal throughout this season. Not completely, but mostly. Things that get revealed along the way become part of their personalities and you understand the reasons why certain things are happening. The bigger bad in the show gets revealed in a way thatās very unexpected within the cul-de-sac. Each of our characters definitely has a personality that is connected to where they live and what their secret is.
The Love Between Samira and Rob Fisher Is at the Heart of āThe āBurbsā
The relationship between Samira and Rob is already established when we meet them, but because theyāre in a new chapter of their lives, as parents, theyāre still adjusting and figuring out what that means. āEspecially as relatively new parents, that was something that we really related to,ā Whitehall explained, with he and Palmer being parents themselves. āThereās a real richness and depth to the story that weāre telling with them.ā
Palmer added, āTheyāre finding themselves again after having the baby. They did fall in love with each other and they did already have this history, but as new parents, that all goes down the drain once the baby comes. All of a sudden, you donāt know each other anymore. I do think we were able to have fun with that ⦠Me and Jack healed, doing this.ā
Walking around the set for the Fisher home, it was easy to get a sense of the love Samira and Rob have for each other, with all the photos scattered around. The details help create a relationship that brings the couple together in times of danger and helps them uncover whatās really going on in their neighborhood.
Executive Producers Huggins and Carlson knew immediately that Palmer and Whitehall were on the same page when it came to their characters. āIt was just an instant connection,ā said Huggins. āThey had chemistry. You could feel they were jumping off each otherās humor and sensibilities, and it was really sweet.ā
The natural ease Palmer and Whitehall found with each other easily translated to Samira and Rob. āThere were so many conversations and arguments where we were like, āOh, my God, Iāve literally said these words,āā said Whitehall. āItās so brilliantly observed and relatable in such a wonderful way. It has this nuance and these different layers that are funny and touching.ā
If Anyone Tells You That Youāre Moving to the Safest Place To Live, You Should Find Somewhere Else To Go
When an unresolved mystery from Rob and Naveenās past becomes a part of their lives again in the present, Samira has to work through her initial suspicions that they could somehow be involved. Whether itās knowing her husband well enough to know that he isnāt a murderer or supporting his wife in a way that they can figure out the cul-de-sac mysteries together, Samira and Rob are going to discover whoās really responsible for whatever is going on in their neighborhood. And in the finale, with Naveen being driven off in the trunk of a member of the HOA, whoās responsible for keeping things safe in ways that are clearly very questionable, the series sets up new questions for a possible Season 2.
ā[Samiraās] investigative work, thus far, has been pretty good, so I feel like weāre a good team now and weāve got the support network of the found family of neighbors behind us,ā Whitehall said during an interview with Collider at a junket to promote the series launch. āI think they stand a good chance of finding [Naveen] and rescuing him from the trunk of that car.ā
In that same interview, Palmer added, āThere are so many questions. Where the hell is Naveen? Thatās number one. What are you hiding? The thing that you find out about Hinkley Hills, and the reason why itās the safest town in America, is because people are hiding a lot of things about what happened there. Itās a constant unraveling of one lie to cover up the next lie.āāāāāāā
While āThe āBurbsā Does Resolve Some of Its Mysteries, There Is More Story To Tell in a Possible Season 2
Expanding the ideas and themes of The āBurbs for a TV series means that there are still areas to explore moving forward. Getting some answers doesnāt mean you have all the answers, but Hughey has a sense of Season 2 and beyond. āWe get to the end of the season with a big ah-ha of what weāve been tracking through this particular season,ā Huggins said during the set visit. āBut something bigger comes up at the end that reveals a bigger problem. So, itās a continuation of the same characters and some of the same storylines, but the end reveals a bigger problem that they have to tackle. Itās definitely meant to continue.ā
Hughey added, āWe reference Season 2 constantly. Weāre like, āOkay, weāll save that for Season 2. And then, weāre going to do this. And this character comes in then.ā Even on set, the cast was like, āOkay, in Season 2, weāll do this.ā Itās not fully mapped out, but we know what the big bad is in the second season and what new adventures theyāll get into. We havenāt mapped it out for five years, but we can definitely see the vision for the next several seasons.ā
Part of that vision for Hughey is adding neighbors to the cul-de-sac. āSome people will leave to make room for other characters. Some people can come back. Paulaās character, Dana, talks about her wife the whole season, and Iām hoping to have her come in next season.ā
And if for some reason things donāt work out and they donāt get to move forward with a Season 2, Palmer and Whitehall have ideas for more Tom Hanks projects they could remake. āI would do Big,ā declared Palmer. āBut thatās one of the most popular, so itās really bad to try to do that because youāre not going to do it. I would do a fake Big thatās called Small, so it reminds me of that, but it aināt that.ā
āMaybe Forest Gump 2,ā added Whitehall. āThere was a script that was written, apparently. Iād still be running.ā
The ‘Burbs is available to stream on Peacock, where you can also watch the 1989 Joe Dante movie.

Chappell Roan Leaves Talent Agency Over Owner’s Connection to Epstein
Chappell Roan has cut ties with her talent agency, Wasserman, after CEO and founder Casey Wasserman was named in files related to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
āAs of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,ā Roan, 27, shared in an Instagram Story on Monday, February 9.
The āPink Pony Clubā singer continued, āI hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.ā
āI have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists and I refuse to passively stand by,ā Roan added. āArtists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.ā
Us Weekly has reached out to Wasserman for comment.
Last month, documents emerged linking Wasserman, 51, who is also the president of the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, to Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

According to The Guardian, in one email sent in 2003, Wasserman told Maxwell, āI think of you all the time. So, what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?ā In another email, sent in April that same year, Maxwell offered to give Wasserman a massage that could ādrive a man wild.ā
āI deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light,ā Wasserman said in a statement to Deadline earlier this month. āI never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. Dax Shepard Says Late-Night Drive At 85 MPH Turned Into A Nightmare

According to Shepard, he and a friend were driving from Toledo to Detroit in a Ford Probe. It was late, and Shepard had an early morning shift ahead of him, so he decided to stretch out and sleep in the backseat. Before nodding off, he double-checked that his friend was okay to drive. The answer was a confident yes, despite the cruise control being set to 85 miles per hour.
That confidence didnāt last long.

Shepard Woke Up To His Driver Asleep As Car Began Rolling

Shepard recalled being jolted awake by the sound of gravel hitting the side of the car. When he looked up, his friend was completely slumped over behind the wheel, fast asleep.
He tried to grab control, but it was already too late. The car veered to the side, launched into the air, and began rolling down the highway. Shepard said his mind immediately went to the worst-case scenario, the line of pine trees along the Michigan road. āI knew if we hit one of those, that was it,ā he shared.

As the car continued to flip, Shepard experienced something unexpected. Instead of panic, he felt calm. After a rush of fear and realization that death felt moments away, a strange sense of peace took over. He described it as oddly comforting, saying it felt like his body just accepted what was about to happen.
The car rolled around ten times before finally coming to a stop, upside down. Against all odds, they never hit a tree. Both Shepard and his friend crawled out through the windows, shaken but alive. Somehow, neither of them was seriously hurt.

Shepard has never shied away from talking about his sobriety journey, even when itās uncomfortable. In 2020, he revealed that after 16 years sober, he suffered a relapse, a setback he later addressed candidly on “In Fact.” According to Shepard, the relapse began when chronic pain issues with his hand and shoulder resurfaced, leading him back to prescription pain medication.
What started as legitimate treatment slowly spiraled out of control. Shepard admitted he was taking far more pills than prescribed, buying additional medication, and lying to people closest to him, all while carrying what he described as an āenormous secret.ā
