Joshua Zirkzee could make Man Utd U-turn?

Joshua Zirkzee could change his mind and stay at Manchester United for the rest of the season, according to Football Insider.

Zirkzee is struggling for playing time at Man Utd at the moment, with AS Roma among the clubs keen on signing the Netherlands international forward.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “He’s boosted his chances of getting more game time at United, obviously with that goal against Palace [30 November], really good finish in that game, got United back into the game and helped them go on and pick up the three points in that one.

“He’ll be hoping now he can get a run in the side. That’s what he’s been looking for this season.

“He hasn’t had it because obviously United has been out and spent big on Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko in the summer window.

“So, he was pushed down the pecking order, but I think he’s going to be needed at United for the foreseeable next couple of months at least anyway, especially with Mbeumo and Amad going away to AFCON with Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

“United are a bit short of attacking options so I think he will get minutes whilst those two are away at that tournament.”
