Apple to open flagship store in Diriyah Square as $63.2bn development reaches milestone
Apple has executed a lease to open an iconic flagship store in Diriyah Square, marking a major milestone in the development of one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant lifestyle and retail districts.
The announcement underscores the growing international interest in Diriyah, home to the UNESCO World Heritage site At-Turaif.
The agreement follows Apple’s recent confirmation that it will introduce the first of several flagship Apple Store locations across Saudi Arabia starting in 2026.

The Diriyah Square flagship will open later, strengthening the brand’s footprint in the Kingdom as Diriyah continues its transformation into a premier global destination.
Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo said: “Having this iconic flagship store in the heart of Diriyah Square is an incredible milestone for Diriyah, the City of Earth, and for Apple as one of our most esteemed retail partners.”
The partnership reflects Diriyah Square’s emergence as Saudi Arabia’s leading lifestyle and retail hub, where global brands operate alongside authentic Saudi heritage and cultural assets.
Diriyah, the $63.2bn integrated urban development, has now awarded more than $27bn in construction contracts. Once complete, Diriyah will contribute approximately $18.6bn (SR70bn) directly to the Kingdom’s GDP, create more than 180,000 jobs and become home to an estimated 100,000 residents.
The development spans cultural, commercial and recreational offerings, including museums, shopping districts, a university, the Royal Diriyah Opera House, the Diriyah Arena, and nearly 40 world-class resorts and hotels across its two main masterplans.
It will also feature the Royal Golf Club and Wadi Safar, home to a Greg Norman–designed championship golf course, alongside the Royal Equestrian and Polo Club at Wadi Safar.
