“We’ve BBQed more in the month since we’ve bought this than we did in the last four years combined.”
Many parts of the UK have seen temperatures well over 30 °C this week, which, when paired with blue skies and sunny conditions, creates the perfect opportunity for an outdoor BBQ. However, if you feel your current BBQ setup could do with a little upgrade, there are plenty of options.
Despite this, some of the best deals are those that save you a significant amount of money while offering plenty of extra perks. In comes the Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker, which has been reduced on Amazon, dropping from £299.99 to £219.99.
The seven-in-one BBQ appliance can help cook a wide variety of food and stands as a premium alternative to bog-standard BBQ cookers. Despite offering a wide variety of cooking options, including BBQ, air frying, and smoking, it provides ‘authentic smoky flavours’.

This is due to the use of wood-fired pellets, a starter pack of which is included with the appliance when ordered online. The appliance can also fit 8 burgers, 16 sausages, or 2 racks of ribs, making it suitable for cooking for large groups of friends and family.
Ninja claims the Woodfire was designed with British weather in mind, being made to be weather-resistant and even coming with an IPX4 water-resistant rating. This makes it a versatile appliance that can cook in a variety of settings, including while camping, on balconies, in your garden, or on the patio.
However, if you want something a little larger and better suited for cooking for large groups, you could instead opt for the Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL Electric BBQ, which has been reduced on Amazon from £539.99 to £457.99. This air fryer has a larger capacity, fitting 10 burgers or two 3kg chickens.
Otherwise, you could opt for the Blackstone E-Series Pizza Oven, which is avialable on Argos for £349. This air fryer/pizza oven combo comes with a 14″ rotating steel pizza plate and baking tray and is powered completely by electricity, eliminating the need for a gas supply.
Shoppers who have already grabbed the Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker gave it a 4.7-star rating on Amazon, with one pleased customer writing: “This grill is nothing short of a game-changer. The 7-in-1 functionality offers remarkable versatility—whether you’re grilling, roasting, baking, or air frying, it delivers consistently excellent results. The woodfire pellet system adds a rich, authentic smoky flavour that rivals traditional charcoal BBQs, without the mess or hassle.
“Despite its compact size, the cooking surface is generous enough for family meals, and the weather-resistant build makes it ideal for year-round outdoor use. The non-stick grill plate and removable grease tray make cleaning refreshingly easy, and the intuitive controls mean even a mid-week BBQ feels effortless.
“I was especially impressed by how evenly it cooks and how quickly it reaches temperature. Whether you’re preparing smoky brisket, crispy chips, or grilled halloumi, the flavour and texture are outstanding. I highly recommend this grill to anyone who wants the joy of outdoor cooking with the precision and ease of modern technology. It’s a brilliant blend of performance, style, and practicality.”
Another added: “Brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use and doesn’t take much space up. Cooks very fast.” While a third said: “Could not be happier with the Ninja. It’s become our main kitchen appliance after outperformimg the built in oven. All the stars!”
A fourth added: “Cooks brilliantly, can be used indoors if the weather lets you down (though not the smoker, which makes all the difference to the flavour IMO) and it’s really easy to clean. We’ve BBQed more in the month since we’ve bought this than we did in the last four years combined.”
While a fifth said: “Absolutely amazing product. I recommend these to everyone. We bought one to take in our campervan when we go on holiday as it is so handy to cook all kinds of meals. We have done a whole chicken to bbq to lasagne in it! Great value for money. Looks great. It’s a really ideal size. The flavour from the pellets also is incredible.”
However, one less pleased customer wrote: “I love it. I’ve had it two summers now and I haven’t even taken the covers off my bbq since. Ok it’s not going to give you that full rich authentic Smokey taste but it makes up for it for being so easy to use.
“I tend to slow smoke a joint of pork, brisket or even lamb, then whilst it’s resting use the air fryer function to knock up some smoked potato wedges. It even does a decent job of steaks on the grill. It’s sturdy and well made.
“The only issue I’ve had on occasion the pellets don’t fully ignite, so you need to check and re-run the ignition cycle.”
Another added: “Well packaged and relatively easy to put together although quite heavy. My only gripe is that the accessories like stand, side tables are all extra costs as is a cover which you will need if keeping outside and in good condition.
“Otherwise, cooking outside is ok.. some of the settings for the smoker are not easy to understand and it seems to take ages for the smoker to actually start ‘smoking’ so timing is critical. That aside cooks well, is expensive, but worth it. Build quality is superb. So far we’ve done steaks, sausages, beef burgers, chicken.”
