When I was updating our big roundup for the best brands for comfortable heels, I was so excited to notice that Stuart Weitzman has brought back their 50mm pump. Years ago they had a similar low pump that they called the Poco; I still remember it as being one of the only heels I could wear for a while. (I think pregnancy did a number on my feet!)

In any event — they have a 50mm (2″) heel back and it’s apparently one of their bestsellers. It looks great if you’re looking for a basic workhorse pump.

Although we’re technically halfway through the year, I feel like our summer is only just getting started. We’re still in Spain, we extended our trip by a week at the last minute because we simply weren’t ready to come home. There’s a few more trips ahead this month, a little pre-fall shopping (I don’t make the fashion calendar, I promise), and our kitchen renovation to come home to. Here’s a look at the month ahead!

What We’re Doing

  • We just wrapped five days at Marbella Club and it was even better than we hoped. We could barely get the girls to hang out with us because they wanted to be at the kids club the entire time!
  • We head home, then leave again for the Hamptons for a short photoshoot for a brand.
  • After that we’re home for a bit before heading back to the Hamptons to spend a few days with friends, then flying to Switzerland to meet more friends for the last leg of our summer travels.
  • I’m looking forward to Switzerland and Austria at the end of the month. It’ll be a nice reprieve from the heat, and it’s a new spot we’ve never been to.
  • We get a peek at our kitchen renovation once we’re home this week. It’s still only halfway through, but I can’t wait to see the progress!

Our daily workwear reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Yesterday’s post inspired me to take a look for a summery tie-neck blouse, and I’m really loving this lightweight ivory number from Veronica Beard. I especially like that the bow is a little bit lower, rather than right at the neck, which I always find annoying. This would be a wardrobe workhorse for me — I could see myself  wearing it with everything from suits to trousers to skirts all summer long.

The fabric looks like it may run a little sheer, but as a millennial, you know I love to add a camisole underneath. These smoothing camis from Jockey have been my go-tos for years.
