Reasons to be Hopeful in Politics

In this video, I talk about why there are still reasons to be optimistic about politics. As Tony Benn said, ‘there are no permanent winners’ – politics is a constant struggle. Progress in our history has come from ordinary people who cared enough to act, to organise, and to act collectively for change. The people who made a difference in the past weren’t special – they were just like us. And we can do the same today, whether it’s through our unions, a local campaign, a pressure group or a political party. Being part of that ongoing fight for progress is what keeps me hopeful, and I think it’s something we can all take inspiration from.
