Pitt had an interesting perspective on his marriage to Aniston even while it was on the brink of ending.

The pair married in July 2000, and a few years later, in 2025, they announced that they were separating. Months after this shocking announcement, Aniston filed for a divorce, citing “irreconciliable differences.”

During a May 2005 interview with GQ, Pitt pushed back against the idea that his marriage coming to an abrupt end means that it was unsuccessful or a failure. The “Fight Club” star said he did not understand looking at the relationship as a failure simply because it had not been flawless. Instead, Pitt said he embraced the “messiness of life.”

Furthermore, he spoke warmly about his ex-wife. Pitt noted that they remained loving with each other even at the end of their marriage and that he was glad about how they handled it. “Sometimes love changes shape,” Pitt recalled.

Also, during the interview, Pitt made it clear that he still believed in marriage, showing that even if his first marriage did not go well, he had not given up on the idea of a long-term and committed relationship.

Pitt’s comments about his first marriage became considerably more controversial several years later. In 2011, the actor spoke to Parade about a period in his life when he felt “unsatisfied.”

Pitt said he had spent years hiding from being a celebrity and eventually realized he was searching for interesting stories through his movies while not living an interesting life himself. He then connected some of those feelings to his marriage with Aniston and described himself as “trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”

The remark immediately generated headlines, but Pitt quickly issued a clarification.

In 2013, Pitt was very happy to discuss the life he was building with Jolie. The pair first met on the set of “Mr and Mrs Smith,” and quickly became parents to six beautiful children.

Speaking to Esquire, Pitt said, “I haven’t known life to be any happier.”

The actor also spoke enthusiastically about having a large family. He said he had always imagined having plenty of activity in his home. He described loving the constant sounds that came with having children around and admitted that he quickly missed the chaos whenever they were away.

Pitt and Jolie eventually married in France in August 2014; sadly, their marriage lasted only about two years before Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016.

The pair’s divorce proceedings would continue for years, heavily doused in public scrutiny. They eventually reached a settlement in December 2024, more than eight years after Jolie first filed.

In 2017, Pitt spoke to GQ again about his marriage to Jolie. This was one of the first interviews he granted following their separation.

The way he spoke was a stark contrast to how he sounded a few years prior. Pitt acknowledged the grief that accompanied the breakup. He also reflected on what letting somebody go had taught him about love.

The actor went on to say that he now understood the saying “letting someone go if you love them.” For him, that meant learning how to love someone without trying to possess them or expecting something in return.

“There’s no love without loss,” Pitt said. “It’s a package deal.”

Pitt’s comments suggested that his ideas about love and relationships had changed to a degree. The actor no longer spoke about a marriage’s failure or success; instead, he saw loss as a possibility in relationships.

Pitt eventually found love again with jewelry executive Ines de Ramon. The pair were first linked in late 2022; however, their relationship gradually became more public, including an appearance together at the British Grand Prix in July 2024.

When Pitt spoke to GQ in 2025, the publication asked whether debuting with de Ramon at a Formula One event had been a calculated decision tied to his “F1” movie.

Pitt laughed off the suggestion. “No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve,” he said.

It was an interesting choice of words considering what Pitt had said two decades earlier.

As his marriage to Aniston ended in 2005, Pitt embraced the idea that “love changes shape.” Twenty years later, he was once again describing relationships as something that naturally changes over time.

Pitt also addressed finally reaching the legal end of his lengthy divorce from Jolie. When asked whether he felt relief after the divorce settlement, the actor downplayed the significance of the moment. He described it simply as something reaching its legal conclusion.

His relationship with de Ramon has continued since that interview. The pair made several public appearances together in 2026, including attending the French Open in Paris in June. They were also photographed together at other major events during the summer.

After two marriages and decades of intense interest in his personal life, Pitt appears less interested in defining what his relationships are supposed to become.

Nearly 30 years after the murder of Tupac Shakur, a Las Vegas jury has delivered a historic verdict in one of the most infamous unsolved cases in music history.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been found guilty of first degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon in connection with the 1996 drive by shooting that killed Shakur.

Davis, 63, is the first person ever convicted in connection with the rapper’s death.

The verdict came Monday following a weeks long trial and only a few hours of jury deliberations. Davis was accused of orchestrating the attack that ultimately resulted in Shakur’s death, despite prosecutors not alleging that Davis himself fired the fatal shots.

Prosecutors argued that Davis helped organize the shooting as retaliation following a confrontation at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas earlier that night.

Shakur and members of his entourage had been involved in a physical altercation with Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, Davis’ nephew, after attending a Mike Tyson boxing match.

Later that evening, Shakur was riding in a BMW driven by Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight when a white Cadillac pulled alongside their vehicle near the Las Vegas Strip.

Shakur was struck multiple times, while Knight was also wounded. Shakur died from his injuries six days later on September 13, 1996. He was just 25 years old.

The identity of the person who actually fired the shots has remained one of the biggest questions surrounding the case. Prosecutors did not need to prove Davis was the shooter, arguing instead that his alleged role in organizing and facilitating the attack made him criminally responsible for the murder.

A major part of the prosecution’s case came from Davis himself.

Over the years, Davis publicly discussed his presence inside the Cadillac and details surrounding the shooting in interviews and his 2019 memoir, Compton Street Legend. Prosecutors used those statements to argue that Davis had repeatedly admitted his involvement in the events leading to Shakur’s death.

Davis’ defense argued that those accounts were exaggerated or fabricated and pointed to the lack of physical and forensic evidence connecting him to the shooting.

The jury ultimately sided with prosecutors.

The conviction represents a stunning conclusion to a case that remained officially unsolved for decades and generated countless theories, documentaries, books and investigations.

Shakur remains one of the most influential artists in hip hop history. Despite his death at only 25, his music and cultural influence have continued for generations, with songs including California Love, Changes, Dear Mama and Hail Maryremaining among the most recognizable tracks of his career.

Davis now faces the possibility of life in prison.

For Tupac Shakur’s family, friends and millions of fans around the world, the verdict marks the first criminal conviction in a case that has remained unanswered for nearly three decades.

There was a time when finishing a game over a weekend didn’t require canceling every plan you had and temporarily abandoning the concept of sleep. While enormous 50, 80, or even 100-hour experiences certainly have their place, there’s something increasingly appealing about a game that knows exactly how long it needs to be. Rebellion’s next shooter could fit that description perfectly.

Rebellion producer Martin Willingham has confirmed that the upcoming Alien Deathstorm will take approximately eight to 10 hours to complete when it launches in Spring 2027 and that’s enough to make the upcoming sci-fi horror shooter a potentially perfect one-weekend experience, despite offering a more open-ended approach than its relatively short runtime might suggest.

Rebellion is the studio behind Sniper Elite, Zombie Army, and 2025’s Atomfall, but Alien Deathstorm has been designed as a considerably faster and more action-driven experience. Players will find themselves stranded in a devastated off-world colony during a ferocious storm, with an alien infestation having torn through the facility. The objective will be to discover what happened to the colony, locate any remaining survivors, and somehow escape alive.

What’s ‘Alien Deathstorm’ About?

While speaking about the game at Gamescom 2026, Willingham explained that Rebellion has carried some of the level-design philosophy behind Sniper Elite into its new shooter. Rather than funneling players through traditional corridors, Alien Deathstorm will feature larger environments that allow them to determine their own routes.

“Certainly from Sniper [Elite] we took a lot of the level design fundamentals and principles with the approach to Alien Deathstorm. So if you compare it to the older titles that were more like corridor shooters, this is much more open. We’re allowing the player to plan their routes and make choices for where they want to go rather than always being funneled down one route or only having a choice between two options.”

The studio has also incorporated ideas from Atomfall, particularly its approach to objectives and exploration. Willingham added: “People embraced that approach to objectives and investigating the world, giving the player the opportunity to work out the problem rather than being given the immediate answer. You can approach the objectives in any manner that you wish, and as you diagnose the issues with the colony, you can work out how to resolve those problems.”

Alien Deathstorm will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in Spring 2027.

Disney’s long-awaited attempt to bring Gargoyles into live action has officially come to an end.

The planned Gargoyles live-action series is no longer moving forward at Disney+, according to Deadline. The project had been in early development with Gary Dauberman and James Wan’s Atomic Monster attached.

Original Gargoyles co-creator Greg Weisman revealed the fate of the project during a recent interview with Comics Online.

“That’s dead,” Weisman said when asked about the live-action project. “I have no idea about animation, but there are no current plans for live-action.”

A source close to the project subsequently confirmed to Deadline that the series was no longer moving forward.

The live-action adaptation was first reported in 2023, with Dauberman, whose credits include It, Annabelle Comes Homeand The Nun, set to write, executive produce and serve as showrunner. Wan and Michael Clear were attached as executive producers through Atomic Monster.

The proposed series would have centered on Goliath, the legendary gargoyle warrior who awakens from a centuries-long curse and finds himself protecting modern-day New York City alongside police detective Elisa Maza.

The original Gargoyles animated series debuted in 1994 and followed a clan of ancient gargoyles who turn to stone during the day and come alive at night. After spending roughly a thousand years trapped in stone, the group awakens in modern-day Manhattan and becomes a team of nighttime protectors.

The series developed a passionate following thanks to its darker storytelling, mythology and serialized approach, which helped distinguish it from many other Disney animated shows of the era.

Its voice cast included Keith David as Goliath alongside Salli Richardson, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Ed Asner, Jeff Bennett, Bill Fagerbakke and others. The original show ran from 1994 through 1997.

For years, fans have hoped Disney would revisit the property, with multiple potential adaptations and revival rumors surfacing without ultimately reaching the screen.

While the live-action version is now officially off the table, that doesn’t necessarily mean Gargoyles will remain dormant forever. Weisman specifically said he does not know what Disney may have planned on the animation side, leaving open the possibility that the franchise could eventually return in another form.

For now, however, fans hoping to see Goliath and the Manhattan Clan make the jump into live action will have to keep waiting.

Over the course of the last six years, families around the world have been treated to several of the greatest movies of the family genre to have graced theaters at any point during the 21st century. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the best ways to bring people back to the movies has been to attract families back to theaters. As such, it’s no surprise that studios have been making a particular effort in offering high-quality family movies.

Whether it’s an animated film like Nimona, a live-action gem like How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, or a groundbreaking hybrid like Coyote vs. Acme, the best family films of the 2020s so far have been movies so great that anyone, regardless of their age, should be able to enjoy them. Fun, amusing, fast-paced, and hugely creative, they show that families still have plenty of reasons to make their weekend escapades at their nearest movie theater.

‘Coyote vs. Acme’ (2026)

In November of 2023, Warner Bros. announced that they were shelving the completed film Coyote vs. Acme for a $30-million-dollar tax write-off. Following massive public backlash, Warner allowed the filmmakers to shop the movie to other distributors. In came Ketchup Entertainment to save the day. The result? A movie that’s genuinely among the Looney Tunes’ best big-screen adventures to date.

Coyote vs. Acme is fast-paced, suspenseful, absolutely hilarious, and deliciously anti-corporation considering its background. Its mere existence is a testament to audiences’ thirst for high-quality family movie experiences, and the fact that the film actually met those high standards with its clever creativity and sly sense of humor is nothing if not admirable.

‘Nimona’ (2023)

Based on the 2015 graphic novel by ND Stevenson, Nimona is not only one of the most perfect animated movies of the last 10 years, but also one of Netflix’s best original films of the 2020s. The movie was in grave danger of being canceled after Disney’s acquisition and closure of Blue Sky Studios in 2021; but thankfully, Annapurna Pictures revived the project and delivered one of the 2020s animated films with the biggest heart.

Indeed, as fun and colorful as it may be, Nimona shines mainly because it’s such a heartfelt love letter to the beauty of being different and the fluidity of identity, complete with some of the greatest LGBTQ+ representation that the family genre has seen in years. Its story and characters are deeply endearing, and its blend of cyberpunk and Medieval aesthetics works infinitely better than it has any right to.

‘Flow’ (2024)

Had you told even the biggest fan of animation that in 2025, an independent Latvian production made entirely with the free and open-source software Blender would end up winning the ultra-prestigious Best Animated Feature Academy Award, they would have probably called you crazy. Then again, Flow‘s status as the Little Animated Indie Film That Could is precisely why it’s such a special little gem.

Entirely free of dialogue and populated by animals that aren’t anthropomorphized in the slightest, Flow is one of the most special animated family movies that the big screen has seen in years. Inspired by artists like Jacques Tati and media like Hayao Miyazaki‘s Future Boy Conan, this post-apocalyptic adventure movie is so charming that only those with a heart of ice-cold stone could possibly be able to watch it and not enjoy it.

‘Soul’ (2020)

After the pandemic forced Pixar to skip their original theatrical distribution plans, Soul had to be released directly to Disney+. That hardly mattered, because even as the years have passed, this is still deserving of being remembered as Pixar’s best movie from the 2020s. It may not have been a box office hit, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the best family masterpieces of the last six years.

With its having one of the most unique and endearing visual aesthetics of any Pixar movie to date, as well as one of the most philosophically profound and existentially-charged narratives that the studio has ever explored, it’s no wonder why Soul continues to be so beloved over half a decade later. Funny, sweet, and wonderfully life-affirming, it really is a must-see for anyone who loves animation, regardless of their age.

‘The Sheep Detectives’ (2026)

Watching the trailer for The Sheep Detectives, you wouldn’t have imagined that it would be a particularly special family film. In the end, however, this adaptation of Leonie Swann‘s 2005 novel Three Bags Full ended up being one of the most beloved family movies of the year so far. As far as movies to introduce kids to the whodunnit genre go, it doesn’t get much better than this.

On the one hand, The Sheep Detectives is surprisingly effective with its charmingly silly sense of humor, never allowing to overpower the deeply emotional story—and it’s that story that really makes the film shine. It may be effectively twisty and surprising, as well as downright hilarious whenever it needs to be, but Sheep Detectives is also a genuine tear-jerker that celebrates the bittersweet beauty of remembering those who we loved and lost.

‘Wolfwalkers’ (2020)

Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon have only put out four feature films since they released their first all the way back in 2009, yet they are nevertheless one of the most consistently high-quality animation studios currently producing English-language films. For proof, one needn’t look any further than the incredible Wolfwalkers, one of the best Apple TV original movies to date.

For one, the hand-drawn animation is some of the most gorgeous that the 2D-animated genre has ever seen, making this a must-see for all those who love and miss old-school animation. On top of that, Wolfwalkers has a deeply moving and endearing story about parenthood, culture, and colonization to tell, one that viewers young and old should be equally able to appreciate.

‘The Wild Robot’ (2024)

Several great family movies have been released since 2010, and DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot is undoubtedly one of the very best. Based on Peter Brown‘s children’s novel of the same name, this is undoubtedly one of DreamWorks’ best animated movies ever, a downright gorgeous love letter to nature, community, and motherhood.

The film’s hybrid look blends CG animation with hand-drawn aesthetics, resulting in a movie that looks absolutely stunning throughout. Add to that a wonderful score by Kris Bowers, some of the best voice acting of any animated film from the 2020s, and a nearly perfect script, and you get one of the most unforgettable family masterpieces that the big screen has seen in years.

‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies’ (2024)

While animation has undoubtedly produced most of the greatest family movies of the decade so far, there are also plenty of exceptional live-action family gems out there to check out, many of them from places other than Hollywood. Case in point: the Thai dramedy How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, about a university dropout who moves back in to care for his terminally-ill grandmother in the hopes of earning himself a huge inheritance.

The film follows a familiar narrative arc and generally hits just about the same story beats that you’d expect from a family movie like this, but it’s the way it gets to those beats that makes it so special. Thematically nuanced and executed with a level of emotional depth that the genre rarely sees on this level, this is one of the most beautifully bittersweet and sharply funny family dramedies from the past few years, let alone just from the 2020s.

‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ (2022)

With how immensely successful the Shrek franchise immediately proved itself to be, it was unsurprising that the series eventually spun off into the just-good-enough Puss in Boots. And yet, who could have guess that 11 years later, its sequel would end up being one of DreamWorks Animation’s best outings to date? Indeed, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is nothing if not one of the best family movies of the last 10 years.

For the little ones of the family, it should be an absolute blast. The animation is endlessly vibrant and colorful, the action and characters are incredibly fun, and the villain is one of the scariest in DreamWorks’ whole catalog. Even grown-ups, however, should have a blast with The Last Wish—and that’s what makes it so brilliant. Sporting a level of philosophical and thematic complexity not often seen in big-budget animated Hollywood flicks, it genuinely is one of the best movies of the last six years.

‘Marcel the Shell With Shoes On’ (2021)

The 2020s haven’t delivered a better family movie so far than A24’s Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, and it’ll take something really special to top it. Based on the series of short films by Marcel voice actress Jenny Slate and director Dean Fleischer Camp, this mockumentary dramedy leads to one of the most perfect animated movie endings of all time. But as special as that ending is, everything that takes the audience toward it is every bit as magical.

Marcel the Shell is probably a bit too slow-burning and subtle for the youngest ones in the family, but for families with slightly older kids—and even for adults in search of a movie that will fill their hearts with the utmost warmth—, this masterpiece is essential viewing. Poignant yet humorous, this visually delightful and incredibly creative gem is the peak of what the family genre has had to offer throughout the last six years.

Monday, August 31st on Beyond the Gates, we’ve got Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) making a bizarre move. This week, she takes a knife and intentionally slices her hand open, and it looks like she’s enjoying causing herself pain, which is weird. And later this week, Andre asks Heather, “What happened to your hand?” And she says, “Eh, nothing important. The bloodletting has to be for a reason.” Dani updates Nicole, and it may be about Dani’s anxiety about Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman).

Or she may be telling Nicole about the business crisis. So, Dani may reveal their daughters are in trouble because of the Takahashi Sweat Shop. Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) puts Hayley to the test. So this looks like it picks back up from Friday. Could be more of Bill quizzing Hayley about the dentist that she lied about going to, whether she went anywhere else, just to see if she’s going to keep lying in Bill’s face because he saw her with Randy, and Bill is super ticked off.

Andre gets unconventional advice from Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), and this may be him telling Andre how to get a clingy woman to walk away. But Ted’s not a great source of advice on that topic since Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) remains a stage five clinger after more than two decades.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Grayson Starts to Panic

Grayson needs Jacob’s help. So, Lia Whitmore‘s (Cecelia Specht) death has Grayson in a panic. He’s questioning if Lia really committed suicide. He thinks the Impaler got her. And then he tells Jacob the Impaler could be tying up loose ends, which means I could be next. Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) gives Joey the third degree. That also picks back up from Friday because the police chief is over at the casino, and he was pressing Joey to give him info to take down the Impaler so Elon can close the case, get them out of the DMV, and that would end the Impaler’s impact on Joey’s territory. Would be a win-win. But of course, we know he can’t do it because that’s his sister.

Tuesday, September 1st on Beyond the Gates. Hayley is brought to tears. I suspect when Bill is interrogating her on Monday, Hayley starts crying crocodile tears and trying to manipulate Bill. Dani hears a heartfelt confession on Tuesday. Hopefully, this is Andre finally coming clean on Heather being a psycho blast from his past. Or Andre might confess that an ex has been stalking and contacting him, but he may not reveal it’s Heather because she’s so darn dangerous.

BTG Spoilers: Nicole Gives Advice

Nicole Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) counsels her daughter. We’ll see if she’s giving Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) advice on how to navigate this hit to her company’s reputation. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley)’s news shocks Andre. Even though Carlton doesn’t know Heather’s name, he might know enough to reveal to Andre about the hot blonde he bet on. Of course, Andre might think, “Hey, maybe Carlton can take psycho Heather off my hands.”

Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe) surprises Eva, and this may be him trying to make up for annoying her by heaping praise on Cat last week. Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) bites off more than she can chew. So, Hayley’s lacing Bill’s sandwich with poison, but Naomi walks in hungry, grabs half, and says, “I’m taking it.” Hayley screeches that it’s for Bill, but it’s too late. She’s already eating it. Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Cat cannot escape scandal. It’s more on the Takahashi Sweat Shop rumors.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Vanessa in Distress

Wednesday, September 2nd on Beyond the Gates, Joey’s comforting Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli). We also have Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) haunted by grief. We’re going to see her dead dad, Doug, telling her payback’s long overdue. Deanna says she needs more time.

And Noah walks up and asks, “Who is Deanna talking to?” Smitty’s (Mike Manning) suspicions spiral. I’m betting like Grayson, Smitty doubts that Lia’s death was a suicide. Grayson’s worried he’ll be a target, but will it dawn on Smitty that he might be too? Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) supports Anita as she faces the music. She’s basically cornered by her own reality. She can’t do the concert. She can’t do the album. Her voice isn’t recovering from chemo.

So, Anita calls Leslie, says she needs to see her about her mom, Barbara. Tracy and Sharon are there when Anita makes the call. One couple finds time for romance as well. And we have Leslie getting an intriguing proposition, and it may be about stepping in to fill in for these recording sessions since she can sing. Maybe she’ll get an audition.

BTG Spoilers: Heather Meets June

Thursday, September 3rd on Beyond the Gates. Heather connects with June (Jasmine Burke). That can’t be anything good. And this may be about Smitty being close to June. Bill has an unwelcome visitor. Maybe that creep Mike is sniffing around for signs of weakness. Smitty needs Nicole’s expertise. So Smitty may ask Nicole if she thinks Lia is the type to commit suicide. Joey is bothered by his past decisions. This may be about Doug or maybe something to do with Heather.

And Ted is doing damage control. Plus, Ashley Morgan‘s (Jen Jacob) is leaning on Naomi. And if Grayson told Ashley he’s worried the Impaler is coming for him, she may tell Naomi she’s scared she will lose him like she did Derek, and especially to the same villain. Elon clashes with Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), and he may want to leave Lia’s death classified as a suicide, but Jacob is suspicious.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Bill Flips Out

Friday, September 4th, on Beyond the Gates, Ted makes a twisted toast, and Dani is distracted from her soulmate, which is spelled like the capital of Korea, which is strange. This week, Andre leaves a note on the kitchen counter saying, “You had to run out. Back soon. Love you.” Dani calls him her little romantic. Andre is talking through his paranoia, so maybe he’s unpacking it to somebody. Maybe Ted, maybe Dani. Bill shocks Hayley on Friday when he’s yelling at her, shouting, “Stop! Stop, Stop, Stop lying in my face. Stop insulting my intelligence. Damn it. Stop it. Hayley is going to be scrambling.

Vanessa and Deanna discover something from before Doug McBride (Jason Graham)’s death, and I wonder if it traces back to Joey. And Ry’s trying to obey Joey’s orders, but may not be able to. Also, Heather’s in a heated standoff with somebody. Maybe Andre. There is a scene from the promo with him telling Heather, “I’m a married man, but I never stopped caring about you.” So maybe this is Andre’s plan to get her to go away. You know, maybe this is the weird advice from Ted in play or some twisted daydream of Heather’s. Chelsea falls out of fashion on Friday looks like her status as a top influencer is about to be trashed.

BTG Spoilers: Hayley’s a Mess

The week of September 7th through 11th on Beyond the Gates. Hayley is trying to keep her con going after Bill’s explosion. He caught her red-handed but doesn’t really know what Hayley’s truly up to. We’ll see if she can wiggle her way out of it. Naomi’s ongoing presence at the office rubs Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) the wrong way.

He may lose his temper, which would get him in trouble with Bill. Heather is rapidly coming unhinged. Sexing Carlton only calmed her down for a minute. And despite telling Joey that killing Lia was a one-and-done, I doubt it. I think more bloodshed’s coming. Chelsea and Cat scramble to protect their reputations. And Dani sees that Andre is coming unglued and is desperate to help him.

Vanessa and Deanna consider what to do with what they found out about Doug. And Joey faces the awful truth that he may have to do something more extreme to stop his sister Heather. And Leslie may be over the moon at the chance to spend time with her mom Barbara’s friends. But can Leslie keep her crazy in check so she doesn’t drive them crazy? Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) has a chance to show empathy to Cat over her crisis instead of reveling in it. But can she do it?

We’ve got your Big Brother veto meeting results and renom. Drew Campbell contemplated an epic blindside to put another icon on the block – not Rick Devens, the icon who volunteered to go up. But like with so many plans in the Big Brother 28 house, the question was did Drew have the nerve to do it?

Big Brother 28: Drew’s Got it Down

Drew explained why he’s sticking with Devens, Angela Murray, and Dee Valladares. We saw Drew say in the Diary Room on Sunday, that he’s sticking with the icons because they’re cutthroat and called himself their “baby”.

Meanwhile, Melody Morris and some of the others in Big Brother 28 cannot separate game play from real life. Devens and Dee are good at compartmentalizing. Angela’s just a bundle of emotions.

We saw after Mallory’s eviction, Drew promised Melody “I’m never putting you up”. But I think if Drew feels like he’s got to do it, he will. And Drew contemplated a huge blindside with renoms.

On the castle comp on Sunday’s episode, I wondered if the females were offered the option to wear pants instead of those cumbersome skirts. They looked hot and made maneuvering harder.

Big Brother: Survivor Similarities

I also want to mention the chatter saying the castle stacking comp was rigged for Dee. I’ve seen people passing around a photo of Dee doing what looks like a near-identical stacking comp from Survivor 45. Here’s the photo.

First, the pic may look similar, but it was quite a different comp. Those were stable pieces, not wobbly. Second, Dee came in next to last. She didn’t win. Not even close. Third, that Survivor comp was a puzzle, the stacking part was incidental.

You had to figure out how to combine different height pieces to get them all to same overall height then stack a ring on top of them. Last, stacking comps are common on both Survivor and Big Brother.

BB24, BB25 and BB26 had similar wobbly stacking comps. And almost every season we get tiny veto stacking as well. It’s not unprecedented and was anyone’s game. But for those that think things are rigged, I’m sure this isn’t persuasive…

Big Brother: Alum’s Return Requests

Also, remember David Alexander? He was on BB21 but never made it into the house. He was relegated to Camp Comeback and evicted from there. Yet he was cast on BB22 all-stars. I think Janelle Pierzina might’ve been taking a hit at him.

She was asked at the Big Brother 1000th episode if she’d ever return and what it would take to get her back. Janelle said a shorter filming schedule and if it’s all stars, make sure the people coming back are actually all-star worthy.

Janelle said – “Not just someone that was there a day or 2 on their original season.” Some people have called that season small stars. One more note, Devens said to Drew, Angela, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Dee on the feeds that Yash Patel was wrong to be so exuberant after his POV win.

Angela said Yash made an “ugly mean face”. All I know is Devens danced his butt off on Survivor 50 when he won the Mr Beast idol. Like very exuberantly. On the flip, he didn’t do it in front of anyone.

But Drew defended Yash on this and said he “celebrates like a douche bag” when he wins. I say celebrate your wins. Enjoy your flowers.

Devens Steps Up & Drops a Shocker on BB28

Let’s talk renoms. Rick Devens initially volunteered, then tried to walk it back and pushed for Melody. Then Devens wanted guarantees on vote safety. Dee and Devens agreed if he goes up and is evicted because Barrett flips on them, none of them will vote for Barrett in the end.

Drew warned Dee he might renom her when she confronted him about why he’s not nominating Melody. Drew said he’s thinking of putting Dee up and she said NO – you better think again. Yet Dee just put Drew on the block…

And Dee was pushing for Drew’s eviction when Haley nominated him in week 4. So, Drew said if he doesn’t put Dee up, he expects her to return the favor. And she told Drew, “of course, it wouldn’t cross my mind to put you up”. Yet she already did.

So, the live feeds went down before 11:30 am Big Brother time on Monday and when they came back up, Yash had taken himself off the block and Drew named Devens renom putting him alongside Taylor Brown and Lala Verrett heading into Thursday’s blockbuster and first Jury eviction.

Devens feels confident he’ll win the BB Blockbuster but Lala’s a comp beast. And Taylor’s two decades younger than Devens and athletic. We’ll see – it’s all about the type of comp.

If it’s a word scramble or visual or memory comp, it’s anyone’s game. If it’s the ropes, I foresee Taylor and Lala smoking Devens.

Big Brother 28: Bets for the Block on Thursday

And if he’s on the block Thursday night, there’s a chance Barrett may flip on him. That’s top of Devens’ anxiety list right now. Drew keeps reassuring him that Barrett won’t do it. When Devens talked to Barrett about it, he directly reassured Devens he wouldn’t flip.

But it’s a resume-building move for final 2 talking points if Barrett’s the one who flips and gets Devens out – the first icon to go. There’s 9 people left, 6 votes this week, 4 to evict and the possibility of a tie-breaker.

If Taylor or Lala come off the block, they’ll vote to evict Devens. Melody will too. So will Yash. That’s 3. If Barrett flips, that’s 4 to evict Devens. Think about how that restructures the house.

That leaves Angela, Dee and Drew on one side. Then Taylor, Lala, Yash, Melody and Barrett. That’s 3 versus 5 and could literally change the whole landscape of Big Brother 28.

But it’s all down to Barrett. He broke ranks last week and wouldn’t vote to evict Mallory. And the fact Barrett did it knowing Mallory still didn’t have the votes to stay is a statement.

Big Brother: The Fallout from the Blockbuster

If the house splits like that, Drew may run to the bigger side of the house. Unfortunately, as long as Dee’s still in the house, Yash winning HOH is a bad idea since he can’t nominate Angela or Dee.

But Yash can throw the comp to someone else who takes out Dee. Once she’s gone, Yash is free. Her bribe is fulfilled once he wins HOH and doesn’t nominate the icons. Or if Dee, who bribed him, is evicted.

This week’s Blockbuster is the most crucial in BB28. If Devens wins it, Lala or Taylor goes home, and the house will be split 4-4 unless Barrett drifts back to the vet side, then it’s 5-3 in the icons favor.

Former Bachelor Colton Underwood is closing his chapter on living in Los Angeles.

“Thank you Los Angeles. This second round of living in you was so much better. I met my husband, made incredible friends and welcomed our baby boy. Our family is leaving with so much love & we are ready for the next chapter 🫶🏼,” Underwood, 34, wrote via Instagram on Monday, August 31. “It’s time for daddy to get his farm 🐓.”

Underwood also shared a series of photos with husband Jordan C. Brown and their 23-month-old son, Bishop, as the family loaded up a moving truck. “Thank you Los Angeles,” Underwood wrote over an image.

After Underwood appeared on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise in 2018, he became the Bachelor in 2019. Underwood publicly came out as gay in 2021 and began dating Brown later that year. The couple tied the knot in 2023 and welcomed Bishop via surrogate one year later.

“The honeymoon phase evolves and changes,” Underwood exclusively told Us in 2025, adding that having their son has only added to their “honeymoon phase.”

“Watching Jordan be a dad right now is, like, the coolest, sexiest, fun thing ever,” Underwood gushed. “I can’t get enough of it. Seeing him in an all-new light, you know, getting to work with him as a team and raising our child is incredible.”

Underwood shared he has learned things about himself while navigating parenthood.

“I never really could have understood the connection that, you know, fathers and sons could have … until he was born, until I held him, until I woke up at 3:00 a.m. with him and had to give him a bottle,” Underwood said. “It’s an honor to be his dad.”

The next year, Underwood took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Brown smiling for a selfie with Bishop. Over the image, Underwood included a screenshot of an Instagram comment that read, “I feel bad for that kid.”

Underwood replied to the user in the next slide, writing, “Genuinely curious what you meant by this. Because if you ‘feel bad’ for Bishop, I’d love to understand why. He’s loved, supported, celebrated, happy and surrounded by people who show up for him every single day.”

But whether it’s HBO or another streamer, every television series bears the burden of delivering an impressionable final episode. Just like the pilot, the finale is a make-or-break moment that can determine whether a series becomes a fleeting hit or leaves behind a legacy that audiences talk about for years. From heartfelt surprises to agonizing realizations about the state of the world, here are the HBO show endings that are genuine masterpieces.

‘Hacks’ (2021–2026)

Just as Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder) find common ground in Hacks, the series finale mercilessly pulls the rug out from under viewers. From the shocking revelation that Deborah is terminally ill and plans to end her life, to a farewell trip to Paris where Deborah rents out the Louvre, and Ava’s tearful confession — “Please don’t leave me” — after a night of clubbing, it’s devastating to think this might be it for the troubled duo.

Only, it isn’t. In a full-circle moment, minutes before their farewell, the two women cope with their pain by doing what they know best: swapping jokes, albeit morbid ones about Deborah’s cancer. It’s an almost Eureka-esque moment when Deborah realizes she isn’t finished creating, connecting directly to the pilot, where she first discovers how electrifying it feels to create comedy with Ava. There’s no grand speech to change Deborah’s mind, just a small reminder that she still wants to live. And it’s all thanks to Ava, who brings that excitement back into her life.

‘Chernobyl’ (2019)

Chernobyl begins by pointing out the cause of the 1989 nuclear disaster: human error. But as the story digs deeper, that explanation falls apart. The real horror lies in the Soviet system itself, which had known for years that the RBMK reactor was fundamentally unsafe and chose to keep those flaws hidden. One person’s so-called mistake is exposed as the consequence of a much larger failure—one built on negligence and a government determined to protect its image.

By the finale, the cover-up becomes impossible for Valery Legasov (Jared Harris) to ignore. In a dramatic trial that encapsulates what Chernobyl is all about, the scientist is called to court to give his account of what happened and is expected to repeat the official story and place the blame entirely on the plant workers. Instead, he uses his testimony to expose the truth about the reactor. The decision destroys his career and isolates him, but Legasov leaves behind recordings intended to protect the real victims of the disaster.

‘The Sopranos’ (1999–2007)

Few television endings have inspired as much debate as The Sopranos finale, but its infamous cut to black was always more deliberate than frustrating. The series follows Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), a mob boss whose violent career clashes with the ordinary family life he desperately wants to protect. By the final episode, Tony has helped end the war with New York, but an impending indictment and the possibility of an informant leave him with nowhere to hide.

That makes the final dinner at Holsten’s so unsettling. Tony sits with his family, repeatedly watching the door as strangers enter, while Journey‘s bittersweet “Don’t Stop Believin’” plays in the background. Then Meadow (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) arrives, Tony looks up, and everything suddenly disappears into darkness. The finale never shows what happens, forcing viewers to experience Tony’s uncertainty rather than simply observe his death. It’s definitely a blasphemous ending, but it will have fans thinking about it for decades to come.

‘Succession’ (2018–2023)

Succession has always been ruthless, but audiences could still hope that someone would eventually get what they wanted. Instead, the finale cruelly gives none of the Roys their dream. Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) death forces the three Roy children to fight without their father’s final say, leaving them to prove whether they can actually run Waystar Royco. Their rivalry, insecurity, and desperate need for validation only drive them closer to losing everything.

The twist is that Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen), the outsider the Roys underestimated, becomes CEO. Tom’s victory is hardly triumphant, but that makes it work. The Roys lose because they cannot surrender their pride, while Tom survives by playing the long game. Kendall’s final image, staring blankly over the Hudson River, completes the tragedy. After spending his life chasing his father’s approval, he loses the company and the identity built around winning it. Succession ends by proving that none of the Roys, not even the golden boy, were ever prepared to inherit Logan’s throne.

‘Band of Brothers’ (2001)

The final episode of Band of Brothers offers something most war stories rarely show: what happens after the fighting is over. Easy Company has survived Normandy, Bastogne, and the capture of Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest, yet victory does not immediately mean freedom. Soldiers remain stranded in Europe because they lack the points needed to return home. With Japan still fighting, they have no idea when their own war will truly end.

That uncertainty exposes another side of war, as boredom, alcohol, weapons, and pent-up aggression create new dangers for troops. Rather than ending with a triumphant battlefield victory, the finale seeps into the psychological aftermath of war. Older soldiers can envision lives beyond the Army, while younger ones who crave the thrill of combat struggle to adjust to peace. When Japan finally surrenders, Easy Company can celebrate, but the relief carries a bittersweet weight: these men are leaving behind the only life they have known for years.

‘The Night Of’ (2016)

Few shows grasp the cruelty of the justice system and its nuances like The Night Of. After one rowdy night at a party, college student Naz Khan (Riz Ahmed) wakes beside a murdered woman and finds himself accused of her killing. With the evidence stacked against him, Naz’s Pakistani-American identity makes an already impossible situation even harder to escape. What follows is a turbulent story of how Naz lacks the power to prove his innocence.

The point of The Night Of isn’t to find out who the actual murderer is, but rather to explore how a false conviction brings out the worst out of Naz. And while Naz finally gets the freedom he deserves through a narrow jury decision, the finale makes it clear that no amount of freedom can undo the horrors he has unfairly experienced. Prison has stripped the anxious young man audiences met in the opening episode, leaving behind a cynical, hollow man trapped in a new prison of his own making.

‘Six Feet Under’ (2001–2005)

Nobody likes talking about death, but Six Feet Under features a whole lot of it. Unsurprisingly, the drama follows the dysfunctional Fisher family as they run an independent funeral home following the death of its patriarch. Yet, after arranging countless funerals, preparing coffins, and burying strangers, nothing could prepare them for the grief that would make the series finale one of television’s finest.

In the aftermath of Nate’s (Peter Krause) death, the Fishers try to move forward with their lives, with Claire (Lauren Ambrose) leaving for New York. There is no neat resolution or guarantee that they’ll live happily ever after, only the promise of whatever comes next. What makes the finale so memorable, however, is its decision to show the deaths of every major character. Rather than ending when their stories reach their happiest peaks, the finale jumps through decades of their futures, reaching the end of their mortality. That’s ultimately the show’s point: death is simply a fact of life that happens every day.

Brian Austin Green is changing his tune about one part of getting older.

The actor recently admitted that his sex drive is declining, despite previously insisting intimacy has only improved with age. Green, 53, opened up about the change while answering a listener’s question on the “I Do, Part 2” podcast.

Brian Austin Green also talked about his Hollywood romances and his relationship with Sharna Burgess. The couple welcomed a child in 2022. The actor is a father to six children whom he shares with different women.

Green recently talked about his bedroom affairs during a podcast show on August 29. A listener asked whether men notice their sex drive decreasing as they get older. Green answered, “Sure, absolutely, of course,” before explaining that testosterone naturally declines with age. 

The actor acknowledged that some men can use supplements to try moving in the opposite direction. However, he made clear that his own answer remained unchanged. Green said his sex drive “absolutely” lowers with age and added, “There’s no way to avoid that.”

His cohost on iHeartRadio‘s “I Do, Part 2” podcast was Bob Guiney. Guiney mentioned how priorities can change as people get older. He noted that younger men may spend much more time thinking about sex. He shared that as responsibilities increase, other parts of life can take up more attention.

Green’s latest admission is especially notable because he previously described intimacy as improving with age. During a July episode of the same podcast, he was asked whether sex had become better with age or whether he missed his twenties. His response was emphatic, as he said sex had “absolutely gotten better” for him. 

At the time, the Beverly Hills alum explained that he was less focused on his own insecurities. Instead, he said he cared more about how his partner felt and whether he was doing things she genuinely enjoyed. He also said he avoided doing things she disliked, making communication central to his approach. 

The 53-year-old actor also described a major shift in how he viewed intimacy. When he was younger, he said sex felt more like an action or a sport. With age, he said it became another way for him and his fiancée, Burgess, to feel connected. He also said having children means they cannot do it as often as they would like.

Green underwent a vasectomy eight weeks after the birth of his son Zane with Burgess. Green explained the decision, saying, “Zane was born, and I was like, ‘I think it’s time to close the shop.’”

Burgess described Zane as a “birth control baby” because the pregnancy was completely unplanned. She explained that she had been using birth control when she became pregnant.

The American actor also said that all of his children were unplanned and that he has absolutely no regrets about having them. Green’s vasectomy also gave Burgess a sense of relief. She said the decision meant they could enjoy their sex life without constantly worrying about whether they were pregnant. Burgess added that if they eventually decide to have another child, they would consider IVF instead.

Green and Burgess had been dating for three years before getting engaged, and they welcomed Zane in June 2022. Before Zane, Green had three sons with Megan Fox and a son, Kassius Lijah, with Vanessa Marcil. He has also described co-parenting with Fox as amicable, saying they want their children to grow up in the healthiest environment possible, as shared by The Blast.

In the 1990s, the actor had a private romance with actress Tichina Arnold, who he said made it clear that nobody could know about them. Green said keeping the relationship secret triggered insecurities.

He explained that he was deeply involved in hip-hop culture and that was why he dated mostly Black women during that period. He also said the word “race” makes him uncomfortable and that he prefers thinking about differences through the idea of culture.

Green revealed that Arnold eventually became more comfortable with people knowing about their relationship. He said something in him had already changed because of how the relationship began. He later viewed the romance differently, but his admiration for Arnold remained. 

His romantic history before Burgess included several recognizable Hollywood names. The Blast shared that Green dated Tori Spelling from 1990 to 1991, later became involved with Tiffani Thiessen, and then dated Vanessa Marcil from 1999 to 2003. He and Marcil welcomed Kassius in 2002.

Green later began dating Megan Fox in 2004, and they became engaged in 2006 before marrying in 2010. They welcomed three sons together but separated in 2015 before reconciling and eventually confirming their divorce in 2020. By the end of that year, Green and Burgess were linked after being spotted together in Hawaii, beginning the relationship that eventually led to Zane and their engagement.

In 2023, Green spoke about supporting his eldest son, Kassius, after he came out as gay. He said he initially had conversations with Kassius because he wanted to understand what seemed different to him, eventually realizing, “It’s just your choice of partner. It doesn’t affect me at all.” 

Green also became protective of his son against homophobia, bullying, and unwanted opinions. “It does not affect you. Why do you care so much?” he questioned, arguing that people should not force their feelings and opinions onto something that does not concern them. He added that people should stop trying to “bully” their feelings and opinions into something that “literally does not affect you at all.”

The actor said the experience made him want to learn more about his son’s life. “I think a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, whereas I’m not. To me, it’s intriguing. And I want to learn about it.” In the “NSYNC” podcast with Lance Bass, he praised Green’s approach, saying Kassius was lucky to have a family that accepted him.

Brian Austin Green may be less enthusiastic about his bedroom prowess, but his views on intimacy are more focused on connection.
