Anthony Joshua sets sights on one man after knocking out Jake Paul
Anthony Joshua has made it perfectly clear who he wants next after dispatching of Jake Paul.
Joshua took a lot longer than many people expected but was able to claim a sixth round stoppage win over Paul at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday.
It was a lacklustre fight with not much action through, with AJ earning several knockdowns as the contest progressed, and in the end it was a big right hand that dropped ‘The Problem Child’ and he was unable to get up before the count of 10.
Following the victory, Joshua made it clear in his post-fight interview who he wants next, calling out Tyson Fury for their long-awaited showdown.
“If Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, if he wants to put down his put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and face one of the realest fighters out there and face a real challenge, step in the ring with me if you’re a real bad boy. Don’t do all that talking ‘AJ this AJ that’ let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists.”
Joshua and Fury have been bitter rivals for nearly a decade, but despite constant links over a fight between the two, it has never been able to come to fruition.
It was reported earlier this month that it could now finally be on the cards for 2026, and with Joshua managing to overcome Paul, it appears that attention could now shift to the all-British heavyweight clash in the near future.
