Wetherspoons gets ready for Wetherby opening on Tuesday
Staff and contractors are today (Sat) making last minute preparations in time for the opening on Tuesday the 23rd at 8am.
Contractors were outside in the new beer garden.
Chefs could be seen through the window cooking away.

Bar staff were receiving tips on what to do.
Shoppers, like me, could also be seen sticking their nose at the pub’s many windows to have a nosey inside.

Whilst there remains last minute tidying-up and related activities, the interiors looked most impressive, with quality, durable, furniture.
And the former Grade 2-listed former coaching inn, that was most recently an Italian restaurant, was looking lovely in its new lick of paint.
As the Press previously reported, the new Wetherspoons on Wetherby High Street will create 60 jobs following a £2.9 million investment.
One manager of a nearby, town centre bar told me, the new ‘Spoons’ was all their customers were talking about.
So will the re-opened Angel harm other venues, as some fear?
Or will it, as others said in the pub’s lengthy planning process, attract more people to Wetherby and give the popular market town and it’s mostly independent businesses a boost?
Only time will tell.
Either way, the new Angel Inn is set to fly from 8am Tuesday.
