Michael Keaton’s Batman Returns Batmobile Could Sell for $7 Million
Robert Pattinson is offering a new tease for The Batman: Part II, and it sounds like director Matt Reeves has something very different planned for his return to Gotham.
While plot details surrounding the highly anticipated sequel remain tightly under wraps, Pattinson revealed that the next chapter will take an unexpected direction compared to 2022’s The Batman.
Speaking with Collider, Pattinson described the sequel as incredibly ambitious.
“It’s so ambitious. I mean, I sort of said the other day on something that the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another,” Pattinson said.
He continued, “It’s a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it. But it just feels really ambitious, and I’m excited to see how it turns out.”
Exactly what Pattinson means by a “real left turn” remains a mystery, but his comments suggest Reeves isn’t interested in simply recreating the formula that made the first film successful.

The Batman introduced audiences to Pattinson’s younger version of Bruce Wayne and leaned heavily into detective noir, following Batman as he investigated a series of murders committed by Paul Dano’s Riddler.
Reeves has assembled an impressive cast for the sequel. Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne alongside Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell, while newcomers include Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch.
Production on The Batman: Part II is currently underway, although Reeves and Warner Bros. have continued to keep major story details and several character identities secret.
The sequel arrives nearly six years after Pattinson first put on the cape and cowl, making the anticipation surrounding his return to Gotham even greater.
If Pattinson’s latest comments are any indication, audiences shouldn’t expect Reeves to simply deliver more of the same.
The Batman: Part II is scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.

Guillermo Rodriguez is putting in the work ahead of Dancing With the Stars week three — even when partner Witney Carson needs a rest.

Carson and Rodriguez, who rose to fame as late night host Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick, were saved from elimination during DWTS’ Viral Hits Night despite receiving low scores for their paso doble to Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been.”
“I feel like we’re slowly winning them over,” Carson exclusively told Us of judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli after the Tuesday, September 22, live show.
“Yeah, little by little,” Rodriguez replied. “We didn’t hear [any] bad comments, nothing.”
Rodriguez, for his part, shared that he felt more confident performing on Tuesday than he did during the show’s premiere earlier this month.
“I feel way better. Last week, I was nervous a lot. This week I was nervous a little bit … but it was a great music [choice]. Witney chose it,” Rodriguez said, while Carson added, “Rihanna makes him feel confident. So I was like, ‘We’re going with Rihanna this week,’ absolutely. [He] had so much confidence this week.”

Rodriguez continued, “The most challenging part is to learn the steps. … I gotta memorize the step[s] and everything. I never danced before, but listen, I’m enjoying [it]. I’m learning, having a good time.”
Carson, who is expecting her third baby with husband Carson McAllister, told Us ahead of the season that Rodriguez was feeling “really nervous” that they were partnered — but they’ve since formed a friendship.
“I told him I was pregnant, and he was like, ‘That’s actually really relieving because you’ll just take a lot of breaks for food then.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, OK.’ So he’s feeling a little bit more comfortable, I think, around me,” she said.
And Carson, who won season 34 with partner Robert Irwin, is looking toward obtaining her second consecutive mirrorball trophy with Rodriguez.
“I always want to win, so I told Guillermo, ‘I want to win again. I just got the taste of it and now I want to do it again,’” she recalled to Us. “And he was like, ‘Let’s not be greedy, Witney.’ He’s like, ‘OK, you need to settle down, let’s just have some fun.’ I mean, he obviously wants to do well too.”

Todd Meadows’ final moments were filmed for the Deadliest Catch season 22 finale.
Shortly before Meadows fell overboard the Aleutian Lady vessel in February, he spoke to his three young children via FaceTime call — a touching and heartbroken moment captured by the camera crew and featured on the Friday, September 25, episode.
“I hope you’re being safe. If you’re not being safe, you better be safe,” Meadows’ daughter told her dad during the conversation.
Meadows subsequently reassured his child, noting, “Oh, I’m being safe.” The pair then made plans for a family salmon fishing outing upon his return home.
After the call ended, he tragically died in a fishing-related incident. The moments during and after Meadow’s rescue were captured on film but weren’t shown in the finale episode. Instead, information about his death was displayed on the screen.
“On February 25th, 2026, deckhand Todd Meadows went overboard,” the text read. “After six minutes and 26 seconds in the water, he was recovered unresponsive.”
Elsewhere during the finale, the ship’s captain, Rich Shelford, could be heard telling his crew, “Keep doing CRP! Keep doing CPR! Keep pumping!”
News broke of Meadow’s death in early March.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Todd Meadows,” a spokesperson for the Discovery Channel said in a statement, announcing Meadow’s death. “This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his loved ones, his crewmates, and the entire fishing community during this incredibly difficult time.”

The United States Coast Guard confirmed to Us that Meadows’ body was “recovered unresponsive by the crew” within 10 minutes of him going overboard.
Captain Shelford later called the incident “the most tragic day” in the ship’s history.
“Todd was the newest member of our crew, he quickly became family,” Shelford wrote via Facebook at the time. “His love for fishing and his strong work ethic earned everyone’s respect right away. His smile was contagious, and the sound of his laughter coming up the wheelhouse stairs or over the deck hailer is something we will carry with us always.”
He continued, “Todd’s love for his children, his family, and his life was evident in everything he did. He worked hard, loved deeply, and brought joy to those around him. Right now, our hearts are broken in a way that words can’t fully express. We ask that you lift Todd’s children and family in prayer and keep them in your thoughts as they face the days ahead without him.”
Shelford further noted that Meadows ”will forever be part of this boat, this crew and this brotherhood.”
“Though we lost him far too soon, his legacy will live on through his children and in every memory we carry of him,” his statement concluded. “Rest easy brother, till we meet again.”
Meadows’ bunkmate, Trey John Green III, later exclusively told Us how the late deckhand was an “amazing human” on and off the screen.
“Todd was doing a great job,” Green added, believing the accident was “none of Todd’s fault.”
Like other major streaming services, Prime Video also makes original films. And just like its peers, some Prime Video’s movies are polarizing. Still, they are quite successful given the streamer’s extensive global reach, because they usually aren’t subject to the geographical restrictions that licensed films face. Prime Video usually succeeds with romance and crime thrillers, with its current top movies being two romance dramas — You+Me—Against the World and Drawn Together — and Gal Gadot‘s kidnapping thriller The Runner. October brings fresh stories, including romance and thrillers, and one of the streamer’s most anticipated is a wild heist thriller.
Think of this film as Berlin meets Ocean’s Eleven. At the center of the story is a seasoned thief putting together a massive job: stealing the Mona Lisa. But every thief needs a crew, and this guy enlists two young people: Italian cybercrime expert Chiara and a French explosives expert, Jay. However, this thief has a secret that comes out during planning: Chiara and Jay are siblings. It becomes a full family reunion when the thief reveals that he is actually their father. What could have been a straightforward heist is complicated by an unexpected family reunion, and the trio must learn to adjust to each other and work together to pull off one of the biggest heists in history.
Titled Masterplan, the thriller was directed by seasoned action director Thomas Vincent, known for working on shows like Prime Video’s hit thriller Reacher and Netflix’s 2019 thriller Bodyguard. Vincent co-wrote the script with Versailles‘ creator and writer David Wolstencroft. The duo previously worked together on Versailles. Stanley Tucci leads the crime thriller, joined by The White Lotus Season 2 breakout star Simona Tabasco as the sharp Chiara and Lie with Me‘s Victor Belmondo as the swaggering Jay. Masterplan debuts on Prime Video on October 16.
‘Masterplan’ Is a Chaotic Heist Thriller
Prime Video has already released a trailer that previews the film’s goofy, chaotic vibe. Tucci plays the irreverent thief with a touch of comedy while the situation between the three main characters creates plenty of material for jokes. And since this is a heist thriller, viewers can expect action, explosions, hacking, and police chases in the streets of Paris. It looks like the kind of movie that allows you to kick back and enjoy the ride without thinking too much about the plot.

Bill Watterson‘s Calvin and Hobbes began its syndicated run in the fall of 1985, ending 10 years later on December 31, 1995, with thousands of strips seen in thousands of newspapers nationwide. Calvin and Hobbes took time to evolve, not only with the number of people who read it, but also with an evolution in Watterson’s style.
By the time the ’90s rolled around, the comic was just as popular as the likes of Peanuts, Garfield, and The Far Side. Calvin and Hobbes only ended because Watterson was ready to walk away before his creation lost its spark. The quality never diminished. As this list will show, Calvin and Hobbes got better every year, including at the very end.

The Torment of Existence Weighed Against the Horror of Nonbeing (December 5, 1993)
Some of Calvin and Hobbes‘ best comic strips were published in the winter, with Calvin outside in the snow building snowmen. His resulting art is an outlet for his imagination, which is often very dark. So many comics involve him making poor snowmen who suffer greatly, whether he has them being hit by a car or gutted with a cannonball. In this one, Calvin isn’t happy with a traditional, boring snowman that someone else built. He’s a nihilist who wants to comment on how dull modern art is while also portraying how snowmen suffer as they melt. Hobbes admires that Calvin puts art above commercialism, but upon realizing that he’d rather be popular and make money, Calvin decides to make a regular snowman instead.

Human Hunting Deer (February 26, 1995)
In today’s society, with so many horrific mass shootings in America, this comic wouldn’t be published. To see it now is to give the reader a jolt. However, if you can put this aside and see Watterson’s vision as it was intended during its time, what you get is one of his most clever entries. Several panels don’t include Calvin or Hobbes at all, instead settling on a story in a dull office interrupted by gunfire. Then comes the first twist: the deer are the shooters, who treat people just like we treat them. The second twist shows that the story is all from the twisted mind of Calvin, who is enthusiastically reading his story in front of his class, resulting in his parents being called to school again.

Calvin’s Mom Brings Hobbes in Out of the Rain (October 3, 1993)
Hobbes is not a real tiger who walks and talks — he’s a stuffed animal turned real in the imagination of Calvin’s mind. Every now and then, outside of Calvin’s thoughts, we see Hobbes as the toy he really is. In this one, Calvin and Hobbes, forever best friends, begin their morning together before school. Calvin takes Hobbes as far as he can go, saying goodbye to him from the bus as Hobbes sits in the rain. His mother sees all, and as soon as the bus pulls away, she brings Hobbes in from the rain because she knows how much he means to her son. It’s a sweet strip that goes for the heartstrings even harder in the last two panels, as both boy and tiger think only about seeing each other again.

Calvin Plays With His Dad (January 14, 1990)
Calvin has a complicated relationship with his parents. He’s often an annoyance to them, and even though they love their son, it’s easy to get frustrated with his antics. Calvin’s father is particularly insensitive to his son many times. He seems to be a good man, but he works too much and ignores his child. When he is there, it’s as a disciplinarian who wants to build character. Here, Calvin comes in from the snow wanting only to play with his dad. His father has his own work responsibilities and can’t. However, as he watches his boy play outside, what’s really important comes to him, and together they build a snowman before going back in to Mom. Calvin and Hobbes was often dark, but this one is all about the family this lonely boy is lucky to have.

Calvin and Susie Play Doctor (November 18, 1990)
He’ll never admit it, but Calvin is totally smitten with his next-door neighbor, Susie Derkins. She’s a normal girl who only wants to be friends with Calvin. Calvin wants this too, but because this friend is a girl, he resists his romantic feelings, which are often mocked by Hobbes. In this strip, Calvin and Susie play doctor. The majority of the strip, with its amazing animation, is like a soap opera, with Calvin portrayed as an older doctor and Susie his patient. Upset that her pretend injury is nothing more than a hurt foot, Calvin insists on giving her a lobotomy, resulting in an argument. Now all alone with Hobbes, Calvin is upset about how she acted. What he’s really upset with, though, is that Susie is gone, as shown by Hobbes, who smiles as he dreams of playing doctor with his crush.

Farmer Brown’s Demise (April 11, 1993)
This strip is a brilliant piece of art, with so much going on in just a few frames. It begins with a commercial plane on fire plummeting to Earth. At the same time, a freight train is shown jumping the tracks as an earthquake begins below. A far-away shot shows these three acts of destruction all heading to the country home of Farmer Brown, just as he’s about to light a match in front of a gas leak. The last panel shows that this is all from the imagination of Calvin, who is holding toys in his hands. Hobbes is there too, but this is too much. Before the impending explosion, Hobbes shares that he’d like to play something else. The comic portrays how demented Calvin’s boyish imagination can be. It’s also a showcase for Watterson’s skills as an amazing artist.

The Dead Bird (September 19, 1993)
Calvin and Hobbes is funny, dark, weird, and sometimes sweetly wholesome. Bill Watterson also takes a look at very serious subjects, such as death, and how it’s seen through the eyes of a learning child. The initial image reels you in with a highly detailed black-and-white illustration of a dead bird. The following panels show Calvin and Hobbes finding the dead bird and having a conversation about it. Calvin is trying to comprehend the fragility of life and how people take everything for granted despite our limited time on Earth. He lets go of it by supposing it’ll all make sense when he grows up. Sitting under a tree silently, Calvin and Hobbes ponder it all. They’re not taking each other for granted.

The Final Strip (December 31, 1995)
On New Year’s Eve 1995, Calvin and Hobbes came to an end. Just how do you sum up such an influential strip with one comic? It’s like trying to come up with the perfect series finale for a TV show. Bill Watterson didn’t go for some shocker, with Hobbes coming to life. Instead, he summed up everything the comic was with Calvin and Hobbes going sledding in the woods. They are excited about the new snow and all the possibilities it holds. Calvin calls it a magical world and says, “Let’s go exploring.” Calvin and Hobbes has always been about two friends, even if one is imaginary, exploring life together and having fun. As we say goodbye, we know they’ll continue on okay without us.

While it’s widely understood that Alfred Hitchcock hit his creative stride in the 1950s — this was when he made classics such as Vertigo, Rear Window, and North by Northwest — he had cultivated a robust career decades earlier. This was before his move to Hollywood, when he was still making British movies. Hitchcock’s career began in the silent era, and not many of his early films have survived. However, one of his classic British movies from the 1930s is now streaming for free on a brand-new platform. It joins The Lady Vanishes, another classic from that era, which has inspired everything from Jodie Foster’s Flightplan to the Netflix movie Fractured.
The classic was released in 1935 and is based on a novel of the same name by John Buchan. It set the template for several future Hitchcockian thrillers that revolved around a case of mistaken identity. The movie follows a man who is accused of murder and then becomes entangled in an espionage plot. A movie that was released as recently as this year shares virtually the same premise. We’re talking, of course, about Mutiny, the action movie starring Jason Statham. Like the Hitchcock classic, Mutiny follows Statham’s character as he goes on a quest to clear his name and uncover a human trafficking ring.
The 1935 Classics Has Illustrious Fans
The classic is The 39 Steps, starring Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll. The film now holds a “Certified Fresh” 96% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Packed with twists and turns, this essential early Alfred Hitchcock feature hints at the dazzling heights he’d reach later in his career.” Years later, the legendary screenwriter of Chinatown, Robert Towne, said, “It’s not much of an exaggeration to say that all contemporary escapist entertainment begins with The 39 Steps.” The great Orson Welles was a huge fan as well, hailing The 39 Steps as a “masterpiece.” You can watch the movie for free on JustWatch TV, which is currently in beta phase, but slated to be launched in earnest this October. Former Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg took aim at Ed Sheeran in a fiery Saturday Night Live UK opening monologue.
“I’ve been incredibly privileged to have done so many interviews with people like Idris Elba, Cher and even a world-famous, red-headed puppet with a hand up his ass telling him what to do,” Dimoldenberg, 32, began in her Saturday, September 26, speech, sharing footage of one of her Chicken Shop Date videos with Sesame Street puppet Elmo.
She quickly added, “No, the other one,” as cameras flashed a photo of Dimoldenberg posing with Sheeran, 35, from his 2021 appearance on Chicken Shop Date. (The show, where Dimoldenberg interviewed celebrities from a British chicken restaurant, wrapped earlier this year.)
Sheeran sparked controversy earlier this month after his Loop Tour opening act Macklemore was dropped from the concert lineup over backlash to his pro-Palestine remarks. (Macklemore, 43, was dismissed by Sheeran’s tour management company after the rapper chanted “Free Palestine” during two concerts at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.)

Sheeran, who has since donated $2 million to provide global humanitarian aid, denied personally letting Macklemore go. His other support acts have since voluntarily left the Loop Tour bill in solidarity with the “Thrift Shop” rapper.
The “Azizam” singer, meanwhile, returned to his Loop Tour in Philadelphia on September 19, without any support acts, where he apologized for making “mistakes.”
“I’m used to my music being criticized, and I’m always happy to take that because I’m lucky. A lot of you like my stuff, and to be honest, I’m surprised,” Sheeran began the concert. “I’m not surprised that I’ve even done it. You know, it’s normal.”
He added, “This week, the criticism was about something much more important, and I’ve had to take [it in] and make difficult decisions, and I am making mistakes, and I’m so so sorry. … This has put me in the middle of an important, passionate argument about freedom of speech on the most complex issue on the planet.”
That same day, SNL UK poked fun at the drama and called out Sheeran for “sitting on the fence.”

Sheeran, who did not publicly address the SNL UK dig, was scheduled to perform his next concerts at Boston’s Gillette Stadium on Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26, that were both canceled due to inclement weather.

Sylvester Stallone is opening up about a terrifying experience that helped shape the resilience he carried into adulthood. The 80-year-old actor claims he was attacked by another patient after being sent to a psychiatric ward as a teenager, describing an institution filled with disturbing conditions and violent punishment. Stallone said the ordeal taught him that others could not break him, a belief he later carried to New York City and into his difficult early years as an aspiring actor.
Sylvester Stallone Details His Time Inside A Psychiatric Ward
Stallone discussed the traumatic chapter of his adolescence while promoting his forthcoming memoir, “The Steps,” which is scheduled to be published on September 29. According to the Daily Mail, the “Rocky” star attended Devereux Manor High School in Pennsylvania and was considered a juvenile delinquent during his teenage years.
During an interview with The New York Times, Stallone explained that teenagers who violated the school’s rules could be sent to a particularly frightening area. “In my age group, the teenagers, if you ever snuck out to see a girl or do something like that, you’d be reprimanded by being taken to a place called Park Lodge or the Snake Pit,” he told the outlet.
Stallone painted a disturbing picture of the conditions he reportedly encountered there. “The smell, the filth, people running around naked, clawing, hands tied, drooling, this is what they thought would impress you never to break the rules again,” he said.
The actor said he was eventually sent to a psychiatric ward for “a couple of weeks,” where the situation became even more dangerous. “I was attacked there. They tried to rip my groin off,” Stallone claimed.
The Actor Recounts A Terrifying Bathroom Attack
Stallone said the alleged attack happened after he entered a bathroom while making his way to the facility’s dining hall. He described the other patient as physically intimidating and frequently unclothed.
“He was big, had no hair, always naked, rotten teeth,” the actor said. “They called him Jay Bird because he was always naked as a jaybird. And I go into the bathroom on the way to the food mess hall, and he comes in and comes around me and he’s like ripping on my throat and he is going into my pants and grabbing my groin.”
According to Stallone, two guards eventually entered the bathroom and violently intervened. “Then, the two guards come in and they’re beating the crap out of him with razor straps.”
The teenager was apparently left stunned by what had unfolded and asked the guards for an explanation, saying, “I go, ‘What the hell is wrong with him?’ And they say, ‘You’re in a crazy house, boy. Nothing’s wrong with him. He’s crazy.’”
The Experience Left Stallone Feeling ‘Unbreakable’
The “Rambo” actor admitted that he entered the psychiatric ward expecting its staff and conditions to destroy his resolve. “I know they’re going to try to break me,” Stallone recalled thinking at the time. However, he said the experience ultimately had the opposite effect.
Stallone remembered facing the school principal after leaving the institution and being asked whether he had finally learned his lesson. “When I came out of there and was standing before the school principal and he said, ‘You learned your lesson?’”
Stallone said his answer reflected a dramatic change in how he viewed himself. “I said, ‘I learned a lot more than that lesson. A much better lesson: You can’t break me.’ So when I got to [New York City in my 20s] and everything that came after that, I always felt I was unbreakable in that way.”
That mentality would become especially important as Stallone struggled to establish himself in Hollywood before writing and starring in “Rocky,” the 1976 film that transformed his life and launched a decades-long franchise.

Elsewhere in the profile, Stallone discussed how his complicated relationship with physical strength extended into his acting career. The Hollywood veteran said he began treating his body as a form of protection. “It was my armor. I looked at Rocky: Very smooth, very normal-looking guy. And then I said, I think the character would start to become more vain.”
As the franchise continued, Stallone became increasingly focused on creating a leaner and more aggressive appearance for Rocky Balboa. “So I started to think: Design your body like a jaguar, a cat. Not big like Arnold [Schwarzenegger] but more feral and aggressive, and very limber and athletic.”
That pursuit eventually developed into what Stallone described as an obsession. He revealed that he struggled with bulimia while preparing for “Rocky III” and reached an exceptionally low body-fat percentage. “Then it got to the point where I became bulimic. You heard it here first. I got down to 2.6% body fat when I was doing ‘Rocky III,’ and I couldn’t hold anything down.”
He continued, “Or I didn’t want to keep it down because I became so obsessed with staying at that point of fitness, literally an obsessive body-worship kind of thing.”
The ‘Rocky’ Star Also Admitted To Using Steroids
Stallone additionally acknowledged using steroids to help develop and maintain the muscular frame associated with his most famous characters. “Nobody does it without additives and drugs, period,” he said.
The actor argued that sustaining such an extreme appearance for months at a time was not realistically achievable through limited food and exercise alone. “I don’t care what they say. It isn’t as though you’re a junkie, but if you’re going to work out and try to stay in shape for six months straight, and you’re eating yogurt and pudding, it’s not happening.”
“The Steps” is expected to explore more of the experiences that shaped Stallone’s life when it is released on September 29.
