Controlled burnings lead to North Yorkshire fire call-outs

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were also called at 2.51pm this afternoon to West Street, Scarbrough.

The crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to a resident pressing the call point.

Fire crews from Harrogate were at 1.11pm were called to Chatsworth Grove, Harrogate, responding to reports of a fire alarm sounding.

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue say this was a false alarm, caused by cooking fumes.
