Katherine Short’s Death Certificate Reveals New Details

Published

on

New details have emerged in the wake of Katherine Hartley Short’s tragic death, which has officially been ruled a suicide.

Katherine, the only daughter of actor Martin Short, was cremated on Friday, February 27, after she died at her California home on Monday, February 23, according to her death certificate. She was 42.

The certificate listed her occupation as a social work therapist, noting that she obtained her master’s degree. (Katherine also had a part-time job at the Amae Health clinic.) She worked in the mental health field for 10 years and never married.

Katherine was found dead inside of her Hollywood Hills residence after Los Angeles Police Department officers and Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters rushed to the scene.

Martin Short’s daughter, Katherine Hartley Short, reportedly had a service dog to help her navigate“mental illness” prior to her untimely death at age 42. Katherine reportedly shared a photo and bio for her dog Joni, named after singer Joni Mitchell, on her since-deleted professional website, according to Page Six. “Joni is my incredible service dog, […]

Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that she was discovered “behind a locked door and with a note nearby.” Katherine was located by a friend who did a welfare check after she hadn’t been heard from for a day.

The friend who called 911 said they were at Katherine’s home in the Hollywood Hills but unable to enter a bedroom at the residence, as heard in dispatch audio obtained by the outlet.

The LAPD confirmed to Us Weekly that officers responded to a radio call of a possible suicide attempt on Monday, February 23, at 6:43 p.m. The LAPD said responding officers found a deceased female upon arrival..

Martin, 75, adopted Katherine with his late wife, Nancy Dolman. The couple also shared adopted sons Oliver, 39, and Henry, 36. Martin and Dolman tied the knot in 1989 and remained married until her death. (Nancy died at 58 in August 2010 after battling ovarian cancer.)

“It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short. The Short family is devastated by this loss and asks for privacy at this time,” the actor’s rep told Us in a statement. “Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”

One of Katherine’s neighbors exclusively told Us that she gave “no indication of struggle” before her death. “Katherine was a private person but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t friendly. She was quite outgoing,” the neighbor fondly recalled.

More than a decade before her death, Katherine filed to change her name to “Katherine Elizabeth Hartley” due to the nature of her career in October 2012. “My father is a public figure. I am a psychiatric social worker,” Katherine explained in court documents obtained by Us.

These 10 2020s Thriller Series Have Much Better Action

Published

on

Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington and Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland in Season 3 of 'The Night Agent.'

Reacher is one of the most exciting, talked-about shows of the 2020s. With a fourth season coming, fans can’t wait for the action to continue. There’s no official release date yet, but it should be arriving later in 2026. Don’t sweat the wait, as there are tons of thriller series from the 2020s that have just as much action, if not more. Even the ones that aren’t as action-packed have better high-octane scenes that will fill the hole while you wait for Reacher‘s return.

Some of them hail from Prime Video as well, while you’ll find others on Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV, and HBO Max. Looking for something with better action, different storylines, and equally compelling protagonists? You can’t go wrong with these shows.

You might view The Night Agent as Reacher‘s cornier little sister show, but the Netflix action thriller has matured leaps and bounds since Season 1. There are many reasons you should be watching The Night Agent. The action is intense, only ever letting up for brief moments throughout the plot, right from the very beginning of each episode. Even in those moments when Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) has a minute to breathe between trying to save a person or the entire country from a tragedy, he’s still always on edge, which means you are, too.

Yes, the fight scenes are sometimes badly choreographed and look rehearsed, but there’s an element of charm in that. By contrast, Reacher‘s action scenes feature a man with combat experience who really doesn’t seem like the guy you should challenge. Peter is more relatable, and that makes the fight scenes involving him seem more real, with higher stakes, because he can be overcome. The Night Agent is a bingeable show, and the storyline keeps you as invested as the action.

‘Cross’ (2024–Present)

Aldis Hodge in Cross holding a flashlight.

Cross isn’t all action, all the time. But when it is, the look on Alex Cross’ (Aldis Hodge) face says it all. Sometimes, he has to creep around corners. Other times, he uses his intellect and ability to psychoanalyze as a forensic psychologist as well as a detective to subdue criminals. His strong moral code permeates every action scene as well. Cross will protect those who should be protected, no matter the cost.

There’s something compelling about seeing Cross and others from the show in action-packed scenes, whether it’s a high-speed car chase or racing a serial killer before he (or she!) can kill their next victim. With explosive scenes like the Season 1 finale when Cross protects his kids from a grieving woman, to Bobby Trey’s (Johnn Ray Gill) unhinged attacks and the chilling Season 2 scenes when Rebecca/Luz (Jeanine Mason) takes down one victim after another while in disguise, it’s not all about Cross. The show lets other characters shine, too, good and bad.

While a lot of the action in Twisted Metal pertains to high-speed car chases, the Peacock series still has better overall action. The fight scenes are exciting, especially involving the killer clown Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa, voiced by Will Arnett). The elements of humor in the show add a light-hearted nature to the otherwise extreme violence, making the series one of the most underrated comedy shows of the 2020s so far.

There are exciting characters, each with their own special skills, and the post-apocalyptic elements add another sense of urgency. With explosions galore and quirky personalities, it’s a very different show with very different levels of action. But it goes far beyond the cookie-cutter feel to deliver a different level of excitement.

4

‘Paradise’ (2025–Present)

Xavier standing in a forest area during the day and holding a long tree branch in Paradise Season 2 Episode 2

Image via Hulu

Paradise was initially believed to be a political thriller, and it is. But as the post-apocalyptic twist was revealed, and the second season dove into that angle more, the Hulu show became far more action-packed. With Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) traveling back above ground from a lavish underground bunker built for the elite, he meets challenges from angry and violent survivors.

Even Season 1, however, has some incredible action scenes, including the final chase as Xavier discovers who was responsible for killing President Cal Bradford (James Marsden), along with flashback action scenes to the day the megatsunami hit. Paradise offers a nice balance of high action and quiet terror, but it works in a way that’s more cerebral with its sci-fi twist. It’s more thought-provoking than action just for the sake of action.

‘Silo’ (2023–Present)

There isn’t as much action in Silo as there is in Reacher, but when there is action, it’s high-flying. Whether it’s a group of people revolting against those who manage the underground bunker where they live or Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) fighting someone trying to take her down, every scene makes Silo a sci-fi masterpiece.

With a dark post-apocalyptic theme, Silo has more depth to its plot than Reacher, an overarching story that moves beyond the protagonist and asks meaningful questions about humanity. There are some great fight scenes, and while they are fewer and farther between than in Reacher, they’re gripping when they do pop up.

6

‘The Boys’ (2019–Present)

Reacher doesn’t even come close to the level of violence in The Boys, and the two shows approach action in very different ways. With The Boys, it’s superheroes with special powers fighting in ways people in Reacher couldn’t even imagine. But this also adds another layer to the fight and action scenes beyond the usual fists flying and guns, knives, and other weapons being wielded.

The Boys centers around superheroes who are more interested in serving themselves than the people. While Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) can take on the biggest, burliest, most cunning enemies, he’d dissolve into a puddle if he tried to fight anyone from The Boys. The level of action as these Supes use powers like heat vision eyes, superhuman strength, and even tentacle-like extremities to fight enemies makes every action scene bloody, gory, and shocking.

7

‘The Last of Us’ (2023–Present)

Pedro Pascal aiming a gun in the woods next to Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us.

The action doesn’t get much better than in shows like The Last of Us, where at least some of the enemies you’re running from are mutated humans who can run at warp speed and take you out in gruesome ways. The energy is dialed up to 11 in The Last of Us, with the action scenes exciting because it’s about survival without much to help in a world that is nothing like it used to be.

Yes, there are guns, knives, and other weapons, but there’s something about the desperation in the action scenes, knowing that the entire fate of humanity could be at stake, that makes the series far more intense. The clever ways the main characters manage to narrowly escape death are fascinating and the result of very creative writing.

8

‘Shōgun’ (2024–Present)

There are intriguing cultural and historical elements to Shōgun that make its action scenes instantly more interesting. Plus, when you combine this with samurai fighting, the action scenes in Reacher look tame in comparison. You can’t compete with martial arts versus traditional fists flying. The dance is so much more intriguing.

The fighting in Shōgun, a nearly perfect action show, isn’t just to achieve a singular goal of taking down one bad guy after another and saving innocent lives. It’s about honor, culture, training to respect the art form, and traditions. It’s far deeper than Reacher, which has more surface-level action. Shōgun really gets you invested in every physical and emotional move.

Will Byers using his powers, with his eyes white and nose bleeding, in the series finale of Stranger Things.

The action in Stranger Things involves not just fights between people or garden-variety car chases, but incredible scenes taking place in a dark, alternative world involving monsters. There’s an ominous angle to the show that takes you on a journey with characters who aren’t necessarily used to fighting.

The action is both fun and energized. The backdrop of the 1980s takes you into another time as well, while the show overall takes you into another dimension. With witty writing and a touch of humor, Stranger Things takes the action to different heights beyond what Reacher achieves with a bigger cast of endearing characters.

‘Fallout’ (2024–Present)

How can the action not be incredible in a TV show like Fallout that’s based on a role-playing video game, especially when the series looks like the game has come to life? Plus, there’s a badass young woman coming into the post-apocalyptic world for the first time from her underground bunker, and a ghoul who fears nothing and operates like he’s from the old west. Combine that with men in armored suits tricked out with all types of weapons, and it’s no competition.

It’s easy to see how Fallout, one of the best Prime Video action shows you can binge in a weekend, is far more enticing than Reacher in this department, depicting backdrops and situations for action that Reacher doesn’t. When a ghoul can be impaled, flailing with a post through his body for days, and still survive, or a young woman has her finger cut off and is almost chopped to bits to harvest her organs, there’s a completely different level of intensity.

Russell Crowe Officially Reveals His Stunning Transformation for Henry Cavill’s ‘Highlander’ Reboot

Published

on

highlander-upcoming-film-logo-placeholder.jpg

Henry Cavill’s long-gestating Highlander reboot is now in the heat of production, and while it still does not have a spot on the release calendar, it can safely be considered one of the most anticipated movies in development right now. Backed by Amazon MGM, which shared new footage from the film earlier this week at CinemaCon, Highlander is a reboot of the 1986 film of the same name starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery. Chad Stahelski, famed for his work directing all four of the Keanu Reeves-led John Wick movies, has been tapped to direct Highlander with a script from House of the Dragon creator Ryan J. Condal. Henry Cavill shared the first-look photos from behind the scenes of Highlander earlier this year on his personal Instagram, but no new images have been released since.

It was around this time that Amazon began filling out the cast of Highlander around Cavill, who was the first one attached to star in the project. Collider was first to report the involvement of legendary actor Russell Crowe, who has been tapped to star in the film as Ramirez, the same mentor role that Connery played in the 1986 original. Surrounding Crowe and Cavill in Highlander are Dave Bautista (The Wrecking Crew), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jeremy Irons (Batman vs. Superman), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond), and Marisa Abela (Industry). Over the weekend, Highlander star Russell Crowe took to his personal X account to share an image of himself training for Highlander. Crowe may have lost a step since his younger days, but it appears he’s ready to get back into Gladiator shape to feature with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood for the blockbuster action remake.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

What Happens in ‘Highlander’

While Amazon MGM has yet to release an official synopsis for Henry Cavill’s Highlander reboot, the synopsis for the original reads as follows:

“An immortal Scottish swordsman must confront the last of his immortal opponents, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled Prize.”

It’s a safe bet that the new Highlander movie will follow a roughly similar trajectory to the original, but there will likely be some changes. Right now, the film does not have a release date, but the most likely window for its premiere is sometime in either Q3 or Q4 of 2027.

Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe’s Highlander reboot, and watch the original film on Prime Video, Peacock, Tubi, or Pluto TV.

According to insiders, the Oscar-winning actress is investing in her well-being and appearance, entering a phase where she both looks and feels her best.

“Nicole’s been having a real moment,” a source shared with a news outlet, adding that her recent glow-up hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially by Urban. “Seeing her out there glowing, looking better than ever, it has really hit home that she’s not slowing down.”

Rather than retreating, Kidman is said to be leaning into this new phase with a refined and effortless approach to her appearance, polished and intentional, yet never excessive.

The actress has reportedly opted for subtle, “non-invasive” treatments, including laser procedures.

“She’s known as this big surgery addict, but she’s a lot more conservative with … all that stuff than people give her credit for,” the insider added. “Clearly, whatever she’s done recently has worked wonders. She looks like a million bucks, and she’s projecting so much confidence.”

It’s not just Urban who has taken notice of Kidman’s glow-up, as those close to the situation say there’s growing buzz around the actress’s love life, with many viewing her as newly single and highly desirable.

“There’s this sense that she’s back on the market in a big way, and it won’t take long before someone snaps her up,” the source said per the National Enquirer.

They added that it may not be long before someone new enters her life, something that could be a “tough pill” for Urban to swallow, given how “magnetic she can be when she’s like this.”

Fresh rumors have linked Kidman to longtime friend and “Scarpetta” co-star Simon Baker.

Speculation grew after the two were seen looking close at the New York premiere of “Scarpetta,” where they appeared relaxed and affectionate together.

Speaking at the event, Kidman hinted at their natural chemistry, saying it “just vibrates,” while Baker playfully avoided fueling the rumors, joking that he doesn’t “kiss and tell.”

However, the speculation has reportedly surprised those close to them, including Baker’s ex-wife, Rebecca Rigg, who is also a longtime friend of Kidman and is said to be “shocked and confused” by the reports.

Meanwhile, Kidman has also revealed a deeply personal direction she plans to pursue, training to become a death doula.

Speaking at the University of San Francisco as part of the Silk Speaker Series, she shared that the decision was inspired by the loss of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, who passed away in September 2024 at 84.

According to The Blast, while reflecting on that experience, Kidman explained that her mother’s final days highlighted a gap in care that even family couldn’t fully bridge.

Balancing careers and large families, she and her sister did their best, but she found herself wishing there were “these people in the world that were there to sit impartially and just provide solace and care.”

That realization, she said, is what led her to explore becoming a death doula as part of her personal growth.

Kidman has been open about the grief she continues to carry after losing both of her parents. Her father, Antony Kidman, passed away in 2014, and she has described the emotional toll of navigating life without them as overwhelming at times.

She learned of her mother’s passing while attending the Venice Film Festival for her film “Babygirl,” leaving early to be with her family.

During the event, director Halina Reijn read a statement on her behalf as she accepted a best actress honor, in which Kidman shared the heartbreaking news.

In the months since, she has continued to honor her parents publicly. Marking what would have been her mother’s birthday in March 2025, Kidman shared a tribute expressing how deeply she misses both her “Mumma” and “Papa,” later adding that her mother remains forever in her heart.

Netflix’s 3-Part Drama Is So Good, You’ll Finish It Before Your Favorite Show Returns

Published

on

Chad Michael Murray as Cal Jones and Scott Patterson as Harry

Season 7 of Virgin River premiered early last March, but another returning small town series is about to bring a new season on April 20, 2026. Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 returns following global popularity on the streaming platform. Based on the novels by Robyn Carr (a.k.a. the same writer behind Virgin River), the small-town tale isn’t too far off from its predecessor. Sullivan’s Crossing follows a strong-willed career woman who receives the biggest upset of her professional life. Both ashamed and stupefied, she impulsively escapes the city and heads to Sullivan’s Crossing, hoping to find some peace in nature. What was supposed to be a couple of days ends up becoming a life-changing move. Whether you’re a former resident or just passing through, everyone is welcome at Sullivan’s Crossing.

What Is ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ About?

Sullivan’s Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), a celebrated neurosurgeon in Boston whose life is turned upside down after a medical scandal, leaving her momentarily unemployed. Choosing to get away from her hospital peers and forced to lie low, Maggie retreats to Sullivan’s Crossing, a fictional rural campground in Nova Scotia run by her estranged father, Harry “Sully” Sullivan (Scott Patterson). The last time Maggie was there was 15 years ago, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. And yet, despite having all the money in the world thanks to her wealthy stepfather, Walter Lancaster (Peter Outerbridge), Maggie finds herself drawn back to her beat-up, childhood home — even if she now feels like a stranger there.

‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Star Says Fans “Deserve To Know the Truth” About His Shocking Season 4 Exit

“I was not intending to make any statement but…”

Thankfully, the townsfolk of Sullivan’s Crossing are all excited about Maggie’s return. Also in the show are Frank (Tom Jackson) and Edna (Andrea Mendard) Cranebear, who oversee the campground’s Shed and took care of Maggie as a child. There’s also Sydney Shandon (Lindura), Maggie’s childhood friend who once lived in New York. And, of course, there’s Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), the mysterious handyman who’s always helping her father with errands. As she spends more time in the small town, Maggie’s life begins to change in this rustic campground.

‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Doesn’t Over-Romanticize the “Simple” Life

Sullivan’s Crossing sounds like the typical “city girl seeks peace in the country” kind of story — and that premise isn’t entirely false. Unlike her fast-paced profession, Maggie is forced to slow down and question what happiness really means to her. In Maggie’s defense, she initially returns to Sullivan’s Cross with neither a plan nor any real intention of staying. Her homecoming is meant to be a temporary retreat while her attorney handles the scandal. However, as she slowly rebuilds broken relationships and forms new ones, Maggie starts to realize that there may be more to life than becoming a top neurosurgeon.

However, that doesn’t mean life is always peachy in the countryside. The lake view might be majestic, and the people may be nicer, but Sullivan’s Crossing doesn’t over-romanticize East Coast rural life. Just as Maggie finds comfort along the coast, living in a rural area also means facing challenges — like sustaining the local businesses, dealing with harassing tourists, and coping with limited medical care. If Maggie chooses to build a new life in Sullivan’s Crossing, it means giving up the career she’s worked toward her entire life. It also means leaving behind the conveniences and opportunities that only bigger cities can offer.

Chad Michael Murray Plays the Perfect Love Interest in ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’

custom-image-sullivan's-crossing-chad-michael-murray

Family drama and career crises aside, one of the highlights — arguably the biggest — in Sullivan’s Crossing is the blossoming relationship between Maggie and Cal. Like Maggie, the show’s main love interest isn’t one-dimensional. When he first introduces himself to her, despite his outgoing and extroverted nature, he keeps much of himself hidden. At first, it seems as though Cal is playing into the familiar trope of the mysterious, small-town charmer who takes a liking to a girl from the big city — a trope that, in itself, feels like a cliché.

Except Cal isn’t that kind of person. As the series shows, it becomes clear that he’s far from simple. Like Maggie, he carries a wealth of lived experiences, and Sullivan’s Crossing becomes a place of refuge for him — a home away from home where he begins to rediscover himself. Burdened with his own personal baggage, Cal learns to heal, just as Maggie gradually does within the campground. But there’s no such thing as a smooth-sailing relationship. As the fate of Sullivan’s Crossing peaks and dips over time, so too does the nature of Maggie and Cal’s relationship — for better or for worse.

The first weekend sparked huge online buzz thanks to standout performances from Sombr, Moby, Sexyy Red, Addison Rae, and so many other amazing performers. Weekend 2 has arrived, bringing even bigger crowds, more energy, and another round of unforgettable sets. Coachella began in 1999 and has easily become one of the biggest and most recognized music festivals in the world, and it somehow continues to get larger every single year.

Addison Rae surprised fans by bringing out pop singer Olivia Rodrigo, who performed her newest single, “drop dead,” live for the very first time. The track appears on Olivia’s upcoming third album, ‘you seem sad for a girl so in love,’ marked the song’s debut performance since its April 17 release. Sombr also brought out surprise guests for both weekends. During weekend 1, Sombr brought out rock legend Billy Corgan, frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins, to perform a rendition of “1979.” Sombr didn’t stop there. Weekend 2 saw Sombr bring rock icon Billy Idol and guitarist Steve Stevens onto the stage to perform “Eyes Without a Face.” With Karol G still set to perform her final set for weekend 2, she’s already made history as the first Latina headliner in Coachella history. She made sure not to disappoint, delivering non-stop choreography from beginning to end. The crowd went wild during weekend 1 with Karol G bringing out guest Becky G to perform “MAMII.” This year’s festival has not disappointed. From the performers to the special guests, this year’s festival has delivered in every way. One of the biggest talks continues to be about the key differences and surprises from Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber’s sets.

Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber Stole Coachella Weekend One With Major Surprise Moments

Anticipation was at an all-time high with Sabrina Carpenter being the first headliner taking the stage on Friday, April 10. Sabrina’s set began with a black-and-white film noir-inspired intro that highlighted her acting skills before transitioning into a glamorous storyline centered around heading to Hollywood and making it big as a showgirl. She opened the show with her latest single, “House Tour” from her No.1 album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ which perfectly describes the entire stage production that felt like a full tour through Sabrina’s world. She delivered hit after hit, even titling her set “Sabrinawood,” giving us hits like “Taste,” “Busy Woman,” “Please Please Please.” Sabrina ended her set with an unforgettable performance of “Tears” that saw Sabrina being lifted in the air with water spraying all around closing out the show in such a showgirl way. While Weekend 1 did not include any musical guest appearances, the crowd still got plenty of surprises through appearances by Susan Sarandon, Will Ferrell, Sam Elliott, her former Girl Meets World co-star Corey Fogelmanis, and a voice-over from Samuel L. Jackson.

⚡ AC/DC

You are pure, undiluted rock energy. You don’t need tricks, trends, or theatrical gimmicks — you have something more powerful: a riff that hits like a thunderbolt and an attitude that never wavers. Like AC/DC, you understand that simplicity executed with absolute conviction is its own form of genius. You’re the person in the room who doesn’t overthink it, doesn’t pretend, and never turns the volume down. The highway to hell is a state of mind — and you’ve been on it since day one.

👅 The Rolling Stones

You’ve got swagger that can’t be taught. Rooted in the blues and soaked in street-level attitude, you move through life with a loose, dangerous elegance that draws people in without ever trying too hard. Like the Stones, you’ve seen it all, done most of it, and somehow look better for it. You’re not chasing perfection — you’re chasing truth, groove, and that electric moment when everything clicks. Can’t always get what you want? You tend to get it anyway.

👑 Queen

You are magnificent, and you know it — not from arrogance, but from an unshakeable sense of self that has never needed anyone’s permission. Like Queen, you defy every category people try to place you in. You blend the epic with the intimate, the operatic with the anthemic, the serious with the playful. You live boldly, love fiercely, and perform every aspect of your life as though the whole world is watching. Because sometimes it is. We are the champions — and so are you.

🎸 The Beatles

You have the rarest of gifts: the ability to make something that feels both deeply personal and universally human. You believe in melody, in craftsmanship, and in the quiet power of a song that says exactly what someone needed to hear. You’ve changed the people around you just by being who you are. All you need is love — and you give it generously.

Shiloh Jolie is the spitting image of her mom Angelina Jolie as she steps out in West Hollywood

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s daughter, Shiloh Jolie, is reportedly working hard to create her own identity away from the shadows of her famous parents.

K-pop fans recently got a fun surprise when the dancer made an appearance in singer Dayoung’s “What’s a Girl to Do” music video with a standout performance.

Though raised in the spotlight, Shiloh Jolie has been quietly building her own path in the dance industry, setting the stage for a career defined by talent rather than fame.

K-pop fans were thrilled when rising artist Dayoung dropped the music video for her new track “What’s a Girl to Do” on April 7, but much of the attention quickly shifted to one unexpected appearance: Shiloh Jolie.

In one of the video’s most talked-about moments, the 19-year-old, credited simply as “Shi,” is seen performing in a dim club setting wearing a lace brown top and loose denim, later switching to a red cropped sweater and shorts as she joins a street choreography sequence in downtown Los Angeles.

Her performance, marked by confident and fluid movement, drew praise online, with many noting her resemblance to her mother, Angelina.

According to Star Magazine, a rep for the K-Pop singer confirmed that Shiloh was selected through an open audition process and was not identified as a celebrity child at the time of hiring. Meaning she didn’t get the gig by being a nepo baby.

A source who spoke to the publication emphasized that the production team was unaware of her family background, with the representative adding that she was selected purely for her dancing.

“Shiloh is a fiercely independent person, and she’s always been determined to prove herself in her own right,” the source added.

Despite growing up in the public eye, Shiloh has reportedly made a conscious effort to avoid leaning on her family name for visibility.

“Everyone who knows Shiloh says she’s very hardworking and talented,” the source noted, adding “that she’s also very unassuming and modest.”

Her passion for dance has been visible for years. She previously appeared in choreography clips circulating online from studios in Los Angeles, including a 2022 performance at Millennium Dance Complex, where she danced to Doja Cat’s “Vegas.”

She later surfaced in additional collaborative studio videos within the dance community, gradually gaining recognition among fans of choreography culture.

She also surfaced in later collaborative dance content shared within the choreography community, gradually building recognition among fans of studio dance culture.

People familiar with her training say she gravitates toward group choreography rather than solo spotlight, preferring the energy and collaboration of ensemble work.

Friends describe her as someone who values creativity and connection within her dance circles over attention or celebrity status.

Meanwhile, Shilloh’s parents have both spoken in different ways about encouraging their children to live privately and independently.

Angelina has previously said that her children tend to stay away from the celebrity lifestyle and prefer more personal, grounded pursuits, noting that Shiloh in particular values her privacy.

Pitt has also acknowledged her passion for dance in past comments, expressing admiration for her dedication while joking that he’s not sure where she got her talent from, as he’s “Mr. Two-Left-Feet.”

Over the years, reports have noted Shiloh splitting her time between family life, close friends, travel, and continued dance training.

Those close to Angelina say she has mixed emotions watching her children grow more independent, but remains supportive and proud of the paths they are carving out for themselves.

Shiloh, who officially stopped using her father’s surname after turning 18 in 2024, has been steadily building a quiet reputation in dance and choreography circles over the past few years.

By 2025, the usually private young dancer began earning behind-the-scenes credits, including work as a choreographer for a performance showcased at a dinner event tied to the launch of Isabel Marant’s Net-A-Porter capsule collection.

Reports at the time noted that she was credited under the name “Shi Jolie” in the event materials.

Why The Dancer Dropped Her Famous Dad’s Name

Shiloh shocked many when she made the bold and legal move to drop her father, Pitt’s last name, after turning 18. According to legal documents, the dancer stated that she now wishes to be known as “Shiloh Jolie” rather than “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.”

Her lawyer, Levine, later shed light on the reason behind Shiloh’s decision, noting that it was sparked by “painful events.”

“The media should be more careful in their reporting,” Peter Levine told People Magazine, adding, “especially when covering a young adult who has made an independent and significant decision following painful events, and is merely following legal process.”

The “painful events” in question likely include the dancer and her siblings being prevented from testifying in the custody battle between Pitt and their mother, Angelina.

“The name change goes back to the custody battle, and Shiloh’s belief that her rights as a victim were violated,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Shiloh believed she had the right, as a victim of crime, to testify — and was prevented from doing so.”

As for Pitt, he is said to have been left devastated by his daughter’s decision to drop his name.

Husband Kills Utah Mom in Murder-Suicide After Divorce Filing

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Police have confirmed that a Utah mother who owned and operated a successful med spa was killed by her estranged husband on Friday, April 17, in an apparent murder-suicide that unfolded just one day after she formally filed for a divorce.

Lindha Paola Zerpa Lara is being mourned in Salt Lake City, where she was considered an active member of the local Venezuelan community, KSL reported.

The successful entrepreneur, 43, and trained esthetician owned and operated her own med spa, which she opened in 2022 after immigrating to the U.S. eight years ago. She was also the founder and CEO of the beauty and spa brand Pao Glow Beauty.

Paola was identified by her family, who spoke to KSL.

According to court documents discovered by the station, Paola legally filed a petition for divorce on Thursday, April 16.

Police have not released the names of the two people, claiming additional family members still need to be notified.

Investigators did, however, reveal blunt force trauma likely killed the female victim. The male then died by suicide.

Cops conducting a welfare check on Paola found both bodies just after 7:15 p.m. at her residence in Herriman.

Family friends Patricia Quinonez and Fabian Rapalino told KSL Paola’s mother has been working with police to determine what happened.

“She was always a bright light for her mom,” Quinonez said. “A person that was always trying to do the best for their community, the Venezuelan community.”

They told the station Paola and her estranged husband appeared to have a civil relationship and maintained separate residences. Both shared custody of their 10-year-old child, they added, noting the child was nowhere near the murder-suicide when it happened.

“Grandma started getting concerned that she was not getting any phone calls or text messages,” Quinonez explained. In time, friends called the police to check in on her.

Paola, the friends said, was a co-founder of We All Must Shine, a support organization for people going through cancer.

The med spa she opened actually burned down two months ago, and she was documenting the rebuilding process on social media.

Her friends said they hope Paola’s story inspires other women who are in crisis.

“Start talking about it,” Rapalino urged. “To your friends, to your families. Don’t be quiet. Seek assistance.”

If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

NBA Analyst Charles Barkley Chimes in on Ice Spice McDonald’s Fiasco

Published

on

There’s never a dull moment with Charles Barkley on the desk.

During the Saturday, April 18 playoff edition of “Inside the NBA” talk show, Barkley, 63, chimed in on the obscure story involving rapper Ice Spice’s recent altercation with a fan in a McDonald’s restaurant.

“I hear they got some slappy happy meals over there,” Barkley said during the show — which is sponsored by the fast food restaurant. “You see Ice Spice got slapped at McDonald’s? What you doing at McDonald’s in the middle of the night Ice Spice? Come on, stop that. Get it to go.”

The off-the-cuff comment came while fellow analyst Ernie Johnson was finishing up an ad read for McDonald’s.

Rapper Ice Spice has addressed her now-viral confrontation with a woman inside a McDonald’s restaurant in Los Angeles. “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” Ice Spice, 26, wrote via X on Friday, April 17, alongside security footage from the alleged incident. The rap star overlaid her 2023 song “Deli” over CCTV footage of the then-unidentified patron […]

“Presented by McDonald’s. How about that, presented by McDonald’s Chuck,” Ernie Johnson said, before Barkey’s rant.

Johnson tried to wrap up the show, but Barkley wasn’t quite done talking about McDonald’s.

“I love McDonald’s,” Barkley said. “Fish fillet is the greatest sandwich ever. Just dip it in that little barbecue sauce. Eat half, double dip.”

From there, Barkley seemed to be just getting started.

“They got a slappy happy meal over there,” he continued later in the show. “Let Ice Spice eat in peace! … She should have slapped her in the face with a Big Mac. You walk up on me, everything’s on the table.”

At that point, the show’s producers got in on the fun, showing the security cam footage from the Ice Spice incident at the restaurant.

“Oh, come on, Spice. Leave that woman alone,” Barkley said as the clip played.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 15, when Ice Spice, 26, and her friend were approached by a fan while eating at a McDonald’s.

The incident escalated into a full fight after the fan slapped Ice Spice, and the rapper retaliated. When the fan ran outside of the restaurant, Ice Spice followed, continuing the brawl.

Security camera footage from the incident quickly went viral on social media.

“This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” Ice Spice wrote via X on Friday, April 17, alongside the security footage from the alleged incident.

For whatever it’s worth, the rapper has a partnership with Wendy’s.

“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” the singer’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told Page Six in a statement. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
