Jessie was murdered by traitors Stephen and Rachel after becoming suspicious on the BBC series
The Traitors star Jessie has broken her silence on family tree rumours surrounding her after her exit from the BBC series.
The 28-year-old hair stylist from Hull was murdered by traitors Stephen and Rachel at the beginning of Friday’s (January 16) episode. Jessie has grown increasingly suspicious of Stephen over the course of the Claudia Winkleman series.
Reacting to being murdered, Jessie said: “Oh god, I knew it…That’s it, that is it. Now I possibly believe that Stephen wasn’t a traitor and they totally pinned it on him. If it is him, he would have kept me in. I just hope that the faithfuls win.”
One aspect of the series which has seen an increase in theories among fans is the family tree, with many believing that all of the contestants have a connection in the castle. It was revealed in the first episode that Judi and Roxy were mother and daughter.
Another twist saw it revealed after faithful Ross was sent home that he was actually in a relationship with Ellie outside of the show. Viewers are trying to work out what other connections may be hiding in plain sight.
On Thursday night (January 15) many fans became convinced that Jessie and James are dating after they shared a one-on-one conversation about their gameplan away from the rest of the players.
Telling Jessie that he believed she was a Faithful, James said: “It’s not me I promise you – and I don’t mind you having doubts.”
Jessie replied: “But if it isn’t us, how did they know about Adam?” With James adding: “Our game rests on this moment, do you know what I mean?”
Following her exit, Jessie appeared on Traitors spin-off series Uncloaked, where she was quizzed by presenter Ed Gamble on if she has a connection with a player who wasn’t James.
Ed asked: “This series we’ve had quite a few secret relationships, there is some chatter that you’re in a secret relationship with someone in the castle. I don’t know if you’ve heard this.
“People are suggesting that either you’re in a relationship with Jack or Jack is your brother.”
Replying in hilarious fashion, Jessie said: “Well you never know these days. We are not in a relationship and we are not related. Just to clear that up.”
Also appearing on Uncloaked was Ellie, who was banished at the roundtable after coming under intense pressure from her co-stars. Joining Ellie was Ross, over a week on from his exit.
Asked about keeping their relationship a secret, Ellie said: “I definitely found it harder, keeping the secret and wondering if I should just stop talking.”
She continued: “I didn’t understand what he was thinking [that she was a traitor], he was really supportive considering… The only time I suspected Ross was at the roundtable because he was sweaty. I thought ‘why is he sweaty? It’s so cold’.”
