Karen from Whickham, Ashleigh from Norfolk and Sam from Leeds all appeared on the programme, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh, to see if they could best chaser Anne Hegerty (also known as The Governess).

According to The SunThe Chase contestant was finally caught by the chaser when Bradley Walsh asked: “In England, what is normally the earliest time of day a wedding ceremony can start in an Anglican church?”

He was faced with three choices: 8am, 10am or 12pm before selecting the midday option, explaining to the host: “I guessed”.

Bradley then rolled his eyes as the studio erupted into laughter, with Andrew adding: “Just because people need to get ready?”

It was then revealed that the correct answer was 8am, leaving the contestant absolutely gutted by his mistake.

This blunder saw him eliminated from the show, leaving just three contestants to face Anne.
