UFC supremo Dana White is set to make history this evening by staging his first ever boxing showcase under the Zuffa Boxing banner.

Last year, TKO Group Holdings, launched the aforementioned promotion in partnership with Sela – spearheaded by White and Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh. Sela managing director and CEO Dr. Rakan AlHarthy and WWE president Nick Khan are also set to play pivotal roles going forward.

Rising middleweight star Callum Walsh is set for his toughest challenge as a professional boxer when he takes on veteran Carlos Ocampo in the main event later this evening. The Irishman comes into the showdown off the back of a points victory over Fernando Vargas Jr on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford undercard last September, while Ocampo brutally knocked out Ricardo Banuelos Cernas in his last ring appearance. And so, here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s fights…

What UK time will Callum Walsh vs Carlos Ocampo tonight?

The mouthwatering event will take place later today at the Meta APEX Arena in Las Vegas. The undercard is due to get underway at around 11pm GMT Friday (3pm PT / 6pm ET / 5pm CT), while the card will start at 2am GMT Saturday (6pm PT / 9pm ET / 8pm CT). In the main event Ocampo will make the walk to the ring first at around 5am GMT Saturday (9pm PT / 12am ET / 11pm CT) with Walsh set to follow immediately after. The fight should not start later than this but could be brought forward if the undercard fights are completed earlier than expected.

Callum Walsh: “I think he’s a dangerous opponent. He has a lot of knockouts. He has three losses in title fights, so he’s definitely seasoned,” Walsh told the UFC. “He’s got a lot of experience, so I’m not underestimating my opponent at all. I just think I’m the younger, fresher, stronger fighter, and I’m gonna go out there and perform.” He added: “Anytime I fight, I try my best to perform. I try my best to excite the fans, and that’s what I’ll do. I show up and fight, and Friday night you’re definitely gonna see a fight.”

Carlos Ocampo: “I think I do have an extensive professional career, so I think we will see that on Friday night,” he said at the pre-fight press conference. When asked why people should tune in, Ocampo replied: “Because these are great fighters. Great fights have been matched up and I think people need to be watching this fight between myself and Callum. It’s an amazing fight, and I think people that love boxing should watch it.”
