» North Korean Hackers Are Creating Fake U.S. Companies to Target Crypto Developers 😱 | by CoinGen | Coinmonks | Apr, 2025

Hey crypto fam! 🚀
If you thought the world of crypto was already wild, buckle up — because North Korean hackers just took it to a whole new level. Let’s break it down in simple words so you can stay informed (and safe)!

Cybersecurity researchers have uncovered that North Korean hackers, specifically from the infamous Lazarus Group, created two fake U.S. companies — Blocknovas LLC and Softglide LLC — to target crypto developers.

These weren’t just random websites either. They were well-disguised fronts designed to look like legit businesses offering job opportunities. But behind the scenes? It was all a trap to steal wallets, passwords, and other sensitive crypto info. 🎣💻

A U.S. cybersecurity company called Silent Push did the detective work. 🕵️‍♂️
They discovered that these fake companies were actually controlled by a subgroup of the Lazarus Group, which works under North Korea’s Reconnaissance General Bureau (their main spy agency).

They even found a third fake firm called Angeloper Agency, although it wasn’t officially registered in the U.S. like the others.
