10 American Sitcoms Where Every Season Is Perfect

Published

on

When a sitcom can sustain a high level of quality over multiple seasons, it’s nothing short of amazing. Producing a half-hour comedy show is hard work, challenging even the brightest team of writers and performers to create a high volume of self-contained stories that are also genuinely funny.

Many sitcoms find their way around the second season, while others start strong and fizzle out, but a select few shows come out strong and leave on a high note. The following comedies can all claim such an accomplishment, boasting the television equivalent of pitching a perfect game. Listed in no particular order, here are 10 sitcoms with zero weak seasons.

The chaotic struggle to produce a live sketch comedy series is the focus of the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. Tina Fey stars as Liz Lemon, the head writer of a fictional sketch show, whose life is disrupted (even further) by the arrival of new NBC executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin). His first order of business is to add controversial comedian Tracy Jordan (Tracey Morgan) to the show, a move Liz hates until she sees the results.

30 Rock episodes moved at a relentless, breakneck speed, packing as many clever jokes as possible into every moment. 30 Rock was frequently on the bubble of cancellation, but those who watched did so with a fanaticism that allowed them to remember every inside joke or callback to an obscure reference. The humor of 30 Rock was unafraid to be weird or ultra-specific to a niche group, and that spirit remained until the last episode of the show.

‘Frasier’ (1993–2004)

Although the sitcom Frasier was a spin-off of the highly acclaimed Cheers, the high quality of the writing and acting made viewers immediately forget about Boston. The series followed Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) as he moved from Boston back to his hometown of Seattle to host a radio call-in show. When his estranged father, Martin (John Mahoney), injures himself, the two men get an accelerated reunion after Frasier reluctantly takes him on as a roommate.

It’s somewhat inconceivable that Frasier could regularly produce hilarious episodes that resembled mini-farcical stage plays that were intricate comedies of errors. A distinctly different style and tone from Cheers allowed Frasier to avoid comparison and a chance to explore Dr. Crane from new perspectives. Grammer knew his character inside out by the time his spin-off started, but characters like his tightly-wound brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce) or his blue-collar father Martin allowed Frasier new opportunities for growth.

‘The Golden Girls’ (1985–1992)

A witty and smart sitcom that never had a weak season is The Golden Girls. The NBC sitcom followed the lives of four older women, Dorothy (Bea Arthur), Rose (Betty White), Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Dorothy’s mother, Sophia (Estelle Getty), who lived together in a Miami home. Their initial arrangement is done out of necessity, but the roommates quickly become a found family to draw support from as they enjoy their retirement years.

Where many sitcoms begin to decline after numerous years of being on the air, later seasons of The Golden Girls increased in quality. The chemistry between the cast was so strong, and they each played their part with such a high level of expertise, that any topic could have been introduced to the quartet, and they would have spun it into a must-watch episode. The spin-off series, The Golden Palace, didn’t hold the same magic for viewers, but it had little impact on diminishing the memory of the seven-season hit.

4

‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ (1990–1996)

Will Smith and James Avery in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'

The sitcom that introduced many to future superstar Will Smith still holds up decades later. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air followed Will (Smith), a charismatic teen from Philadelphia who is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in the affluent neighborhood of Bel-Air for the chance at a better life. His upbringing immediately introduces a culture clash to his extended family’s household, but they soon learn from each other and grow close bonds.

Even in the first episodes where the chemistry of the cast was forming, Smith’s dynamic presence carried the show along as the sitcom found its footing. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air boasts one of the strongest casts of a ’90s sitcom, with everyone on stage from Uncle Phil (James Avery) to cousin Hilary (Karyn Parsons) contributing in a meaningful way. There have been sitcoms built around less than the odd couple chemistry between Will and his cousin Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro), so it’s no surprise the show ended on a high note after six seasons.

⚖️
Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

‘The Larry Sanders Show’ (1992–1998)

Years before shows like The Studio were satirizing the business of Hollywood, HBO’s The Larry Sanders Show was pulling back the curtain on late-night television. Garry Shandling starred as late-night talk show host Larry Sanders, a man unable to enjoy his accomplishments from behind a mountain of insecurities. Always available to tell Larry what he wanted to hear were his producer Artie (Rip Torn) and his on-air sidekick Hank (Jeffrey Tambor).

The Larry Sanders Show aimed its comedy at the specific peculiarities of the entertainment business, with a long line of guest stars playing themselves, but the heart of the show was the complicated relationships between Larry and his co-workers/friends. Predating mainstream hits like The Sopranos or Sex and the City, The Larry Sanders Show was an early example of HBO cultivating its reputation as a destination for quality storytelling.

6

‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ (1996–2005)

Ray Romano transitioned from a respected stand-up comedian to sitcom star when Everybody Loves Raymond debuted on CBS. The series followed the lives of Ray (Romano) and his wife Debra (Patricia Heaton) as they raised their children in a quiet Long Island suburb. At least, it would be quiet if Ray’s parents, Marie (Doris Roberts) and Frank (Peter Boyle), weren’t living across the street with his older brother Robert (Brad Garrett).

Everybody Loves Raymond was a traditional family sitcom executed perfectly, mining humor from the relatable occurrences of life with a voice that felt familiar and honest. The show was a reliable ratings draw for CBS, but series creator Phil Rosenthal decided to conclude Everybody Loves Raymond after nine seasons, wishing to end on a high note. The goal was accomplished, as Everybody Loves Raymond remains a timeless piece of comedy.

7

‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’ (1970–1977)

The Mary Tyler Moore Show is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, delivering a near-flawless run of comedy. Mary Tyler Moore starred as Mary Reynolds, a woman who moves to Minneapolis looking for a fresh start after a broken engagement. There, she finds a job as an associate producer for a local news station and friends who will become her new family.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show is frequently cited for its progressive approach to focusing a series on a single woman who was focused on an independent, career-oriented life. While the sitcom was groundbreaking for television, those accomplishments wouldn’t be remembered as well if the show had not been incredibly funny. One-liners were thrown out with ease, but it was the relationships between the characters that drove the humor and kept The Mary Tyler Moore Show a fan favorite until its iconic finale at the end of Season 7.

8

‘Sanford and Son’ (1972–1977)

Sanford and Son is one of the most influential sitcoms that remained a staple of the NBC lineup until reaching its unexpected finale. The sitcom followed the day-to-day lives of Fred Sanford (Redd Foxx) and his son Lamont (Demond Wilson) as they ran a junkyard in Los Angeles. The father and son duo were prone to extended bickering, but they always came together to work an angle for a big payday or look out for each other.

Although Sanford and Son was based on the long-running British sitcom Steptoe and Son, Foxx and Wilson were able to make the show their own by modeling the series to their specific personality traits. Sanford and Son, along with All in the Family, helped usher in a new form of edgy comedy that reflected a more realistic depiction of the world viewers knew. Sanford and Son ended after Foxx accepted an offer to host a variety show on ABC, and when Wilson didn’t want to continue without Foxx, one of America’s best sitcoms ended without a proper finale.

9

‘Cheers’ (1982–1993)

Set in the bar where everyone knew your name, Cheers set a high standard for comedic brilliance. The series followed the staff and regulars of the Boston-located bar Cheers, run by ex-professional baseball player Sam Malone (Ted Danson). Episodes would explore the characters’ love lives, professional worries, and occasionally, both at the same time.

Cheers’ ability to maintain a funny and engaging sitcom for 11 seasons is a testament to the talent of the cast and crew. It may not have been planned by the show’s creators, but new cast members such as Woody Harrelson as new bartender Woody and Kelsey Grammer as Frasier Crane kept Cheers feeling energized without disrupting the show’s momentum. After a slow build to drawing viewers, Cheers became a top 10 series for a majority of its run and would take home 28 Emmy wins from 117 nominations.

‘Veep’ (2012–2019)

Every day in political office is a new opportunity for a crisis in Veep. The series followed the day-to-day mishaps of Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), the Vice President of the United States, and the members of her staff. Stuck in an office she feels is beneath her, Selina will navigate the petty political landscape to become the Commander in Chief while trying not to humiliate herself in the process.

There might never be another show that can have its characters string together insults in such a comedically poetic fashion as Veep did. The show never dipped into a complacent lull during its run by constantly keeping the story fluid; characters came and went in a ruthless cycle of demand for excellence, and Selina’s changing job title kept things fresh. The seventh and final season took darker turns when wrapping up the series, but it was also the perfect way to send off an unapologetically selfish Selina.

The Sitcom Trope That Makes No Sense But Every Show Does It

Published

on

The Sitcom Trope That Makes No Sense But Every Show Does It

By Robert Scucci
| Published

For the sake of convenience and continuity, every single sitcom somehow has a soundproof kitchen that’s seemingly located in another dimension where guests can’t hear conversations across an open floor plan. On a technical level, this trope makes sense because erecting an entirely new set for secret conversations to take place would prove to be a cumbersome ordeal. But how much disbelief are we supposed to suspend when sitcom characters like Frasier Crane talk loudly about their guests who are clearly within earshot?

Magically Sound Proof Kitchens

The only sitcom in recent memory that actually acknowledged this trope during its run was How I Met Your Mother. In the episode “Okay Awesome,” Marshall and Lily are frustrated after inviting their new boring friends, Claire and Austin, over for a wine-tasting party. When Marshall steps into the kitchen to air his grievances about Claire and Austin, it’s revealed that Claire is standing right behind him, having heard every word. It’s a rare instance of a sitcom recognizing that an open-concept apartment doesn’t magically become a private confessional just because somebody crossed into the kitchen.

Even then, it’s implied that if Claire hadn’t breached the kitchen’s threshold, Marshall would have gotten away with his mean-spirited jabs about Claire and Austin’s 30-year fixed mortgage and ultrasound photos. Given how the episode concludes with Marshall and Lily literally climbing out of their bathroom window to meet up with the rest of the gang at the club, “Okay Awesome” didn’t need to lean into the soundproof sitcom kitchen trope because it’s not like they were trying to save face in the first place. If anything, having Claire overhear the entire conversation from the living room would have better sold the joke while poking even more fun at one of television’s oldest unwritten rules.

Pokes Fun At The Concept

From this point forward, we never see Claire or Austin in any significant capacity again, so who cares if their feelings get hurt over some critical commentary when their hosts rudely abandon their own party to meet up with the rest of the gang anyway? Their friendship was clearly doomed regardless, which makes the need for a magically private kitchen feel even more unnecessary.

I’m willing to forgive How I Met Your Mother because it at least acknowledges the absurdity of the trope instead of pretending it isn’t happening. Most sitcoms simply expect us to accept that crossing an invisible line into the kitchen somehow creates a cone of silence, but “Okay Awesome” briefly calls attention to how ridiculous that idea actually is before going right back to business as usual.

The Most Egregious Examples Can Be Found In Frasier

But I can’t say the same thing about Frasier, where Frasier Crane routinely has crucial conversations in his kitchen with his booming baritone voice while his guests sit less than 10 feet away in the living room. One of the most egregious examples of the soundproof sitcom kitchen trope comes in “Daphne Dates a Niles Doppelganger,” when Niles has a complete meltdown over hesitating to tell Daphne how he feels, only to watch her start dating a man who’s practically his exact double.

While the episode implies that conversations taking place in Frasier’s kitchen can’t be heard anywhere else in the apartment, it completely undermines that logic moments later. As Frasier mingles with his guests in the living room, he immediately hears Niles accidentally drop and shatter one of his antique coffee cups in the kitchen (Catherine of Aragon!), proving that sound can, in fact, travel freely between the two rooms. If Niles breaking a coffee cup carries across the apartment, there’s no reason an emotionally distraught Frasier ranting at full volume shouldn’t.

The Rare Exception

If sitcoms are going to use this trope, they should at least commit to it. The kitchen can’t only become a soundproof bunker when the plot demands a private conversation, only for noises to travel freely across the exact same distance moments later. Either sound carries through an open floor plan or it doesn’t.

That’s also why the trope feels less noticeable in sitcoms like Seinfeld and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Those shows thrive on characters openly scheming against one another, insulting each other to their faces, or making no effort to hide their selfish intentions in the first place. When everybody’s already saying the quiet part out loud, there’s far less need for a magically silent kitchen to keep the story moving.

Netflix Assassin Psychological Thriller Series Starts With Perfect First Season

Published

killing eve

By Charlene Badasie

killing eve

The popular British spy thriller Killing Eve is streaming on Netflix. The show is based on Luke Jennings’ Villanelle novel series, with each season led by a different head writer. Phoebe Waller-Bridge handles Season 1, with Emerald Fennell working on Season 2, Suzanne Heathcote on Season 3, and Laura Neal lending her talents to Season 4.

Killing Eve revolves around British intelligence investigator Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) who is tasked with finding a psychopathic assassin named Villanelle (Jodie Comer). As Eve closes in on Villanelle, the pair unexpectedly become obsessed with each other, leading to a complex and dangerous game of cat and mouse filled with a strange kind of mutual admiration.

Season 1

In Season 1, viewers are introduced to a disillusioned Eve who is bored with her role in MI5. After handling an investigation poorly, she is fired. But her fascination with female assassins sees Eve find undercover work with MI6, who are searching for the ruthless international assassin Villanelle and the shadowy criminal organization known as The Twelve.

As Villanelle continues carrying out high-profile hits across Europe, Eve becomes increasingly consumed with catching her. At the same time, Villanelle develops a dangerous fascination with Eve, and their mutual obsession gradually leads them both astray from their original missions.

Season 2

Killing Eve Season 2 sees Eve and Villanelle continue their increasingly complicated relationship following the shocking events of the first season. Separately, Eve works to solve murders orchestrated by The Twelve, while Villanelle continues carrying out deadly assignments for the organization.

But when a new killer is thrown into the mix, both The Twelve and MI6 shift their focus, forcing Eve and Villanelle into an uneasy partnership that further blurs the line between hunter and prey.

Season 3

Season 3 begins six months after the events of the mission in Rome. Traumatized by almost dying at the hands of Villanelle, Eve resigns from MI6, opting for a quiet life instead. Meanwhile, Villanelle is forced to find new means of income after walking away from her role as an assassin for The Twelve while searching for a sense of purpose beyond killing.

Their new status quo is quickly shattered when Villanelle crosses paths with her former Twelve trainer, Dasha, and Eve suffers a devastating personal loss. As both women are pulled back into the orbit of The Twelve, their lives inevitably collide once again.

Season 4

Killing Eve Season 4 sees Eve seeking revenge against The Twelve, while Villanelle desperately tries to leave her violent past behind and become a better person. Despite making compromises, the duo continues to clash over their personal missions and vastly different outlooks on life.

However, their paths eventually converge as they pursue the same elusive target, setting the stage for a tense and emotional series finale that divided fans.

Everyone Loved It Until The End

killing eve

Killing Eve debuted on BBC America in April 2018 and concluded with Season 4 in April 2022. The first three seasons of the show were praised by critics and currently hold impressive Rotten Tomato scores of 96, 92, and 79 percent, respectively. The fourth season received a negative response, with a dreary 52 percent on the review aggregator site.

Viewers were unhappy with the final episode of Killing Eve Season 4 and criticized the show for what some deemed to be queer baiting. Critics felt that the ending was rushed and lacked closure, while the series, in its entirety, failed to deliver a proper conclusion regarding the obsession between Eve and Villanelle that had been central to the story.

killing eve

Despite the backlash, Killing Eve broke weekly rating records and earned multiple awards. Its list of accolades includes the British Academy Television Award for Best Drama Series. Sandra Oh won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series (Drama), and Jodie Comer took home a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Killing Eve is currently streaming on Netflix.

Liam Neeson’s New Action Thriller Looks Like a Brutal ‘The Fugitive’ Meets ‘Taken’ [Exclusive]

Liam Neeson's New Action Thriller Looks Like a Brutal 'The Fugitive' Meets 'Taken' [Exclusive]

Over the past year and change, Liam Neeson has embraced his humorous side. Last year’s The Naked Gun reboot was hailed as one of the standout comedies of 2025, having him carry on the torch for the late Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin Jr. At the start of 2026, Samuel Goldwyn Films also featured him in the horror comedy creature feature Cold Storage with Joe Keery and Sosie Bacon, while, next month, he’ll be reeled in for one final job in the darkly funny crime film 4 Kids Rob a Bank. That doesn’t mean he’s done with the action thriller genre that he’s known and loved for, though.

Announced back in 2024, The Mongoose is set to release on October 30 and will place Neeson in the role of another relatable hero worth rooting for on the worst day of his life. He plays Ryan ”Fang” Flanagan, a decorated war veteran accused of murder, who decides to lead the authorities on a high-octane car chase across the country — think The Fugitive on steroids. As he speeds down the road in a Mustang Shelby Cobra GT 65, an enraptured public watches on, cheering for his escape while his brothers in arms do what they can to help him evade a relentless police pursuit. Ahead of its premiere, Collider can exclusively share the official trailer, showing how he wound up in this mess with nothing left to lose and the world watching his every move.

The footage begins with Flanagan on the road with his ex-wife pleading for him to turn himself in. Remembering his time at war, however, he refuses to be captured again, especially after how this all began. A quick flashback finds him in a hospital with his ex, who’s sporting a nasty bruise after an altercation with her current partner. When Flanagan goes to their home to get her stuff and confront her abuser, things quickly go south, and he gets shot, though his attacker is fatally injured by the fall. Knowing how bad it looks, he chooses the only option he believes he has: to steal one of the man’s cars and go on the run. It kicks off a battle of wits and speed between Flanagan and the police, led by a ruthless Michael Chiklis, who is sparing no expense, man, or arm to take him down, dead or alive. To even the odds, his fellow war veterans, whether they fought in the same conflict or not, run interference as he races towards The Mongoose, his only hope of getting out alive.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

Critics Slam Meghan Markle’s Milestone Emmy Nomination

Meghan Markle‘s axed Netflix series is up for an Emmy award, and she couldn’t be prouder.

The Duchess of Sussex marked the nomination with a heartfelt post, crafting the perfect response worthy of her royal status.

Although Meghan Markle was beaming with joy over her show’s achievement, some fans and critics had a different reaction to the news.

After the Daytime Emmy nominations were revealed on Tuesday, July 14, Meghan updated her social media feed the following day with a promotional picture of her lifestyle series. The image captured her outdoors, flashing a radiant smile as she held a bouquet of pink flowers.

The words “Create wonder in every moment,” alongside the series’ name, “With Love, Meghan,” were written across the picture. An excited Meghan reacted to the show’s Emmy nomination in the Instagram post’s caption, celebrating the achievement as a joint effort. In her words:

“A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on ‘With Love, Meghan’ on @netflix. We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series!”

Fans Call Out The Former Actress’s Emmy Nomination

The Emmys announced Meghan’s show’s nomination on X, revealing that she was up for the Outstanding Lifestyle Series award alongside four other shows. The nominees were “A Different Breed,” “George to the Rescue,” “The Motherhood,” and “The Wizard of Paws.”

The Duchess’s nomination with these shows did not sit well with fans, with some speculating that she bought her way into the list. Someone claimed Meghan failed to make it into the culinary category despite that being the focus of her show and stole the spotlight from shows linked to charitable causes.

Another fan agreed, noting the former actress’s Netflix series had been “mocked, laughed at, ridiculed, [and] talked about all throughout the world.” They added that her show was “the most inauthentic lifestyle show ever made,” dubbing it “a clown show for a clown award.”

“F-ck me, the Emmy nomination can be bought? ‘With Love, Meghan,’ sorry but WTF did you even watch it!? It’s not even accurate; most of the stuff is copied from TikTok,” an X user argued. A fellow critic wondered how a canceled show managed to score an Emmy nomination, alleging that she “clearly bought” her spot.

The Duchess Of Sussex’s Netflix Series Isn’t Up For Season 3

The comments about Meghan’s axed show referenced Netflix’s decision not to move forward with season 3. PEOPLE covered the story in January, reporting that the streaming giant had no plans to continue the lifestyle series after two seasons.

A source broke the news, telling the outlet that a third season was off the table, but it wasn’t a permanent cancellation. They claimed Netflix might consider launching specials or one-off projects tied to the series in the future, as they did in December 2025.

“With Love, Meghan” had a holiday special that launched on December 3, 2025. It was a one-hour festive episode that captured Meghan sharing tips for hosting holiday events. She also revealed more about her life with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

When news of the series’ cancellation dropped, Netflix was still a partner in the Duchess’s lifestyle brand, As Ever. She launched the brand with the first season of “With Love, Meghan” in March 2025. Fast forward to March 2026, the duo was no longer a team.

Insiders told The Sun that Meghan had split from Netflix and was happier controlling her brand without the streaming giant. She allegedly felt like her lifestyle line was being “held back” by the platform. Despite their separation as partners, the pair were still “on good terms.”

“It’s a good time for Meghan to have complete control, given recent successes. Netflix has been a good partner, but she’s wanted to go global with the brand for some time,” a source explained. They noted that the former actress’s global expansion was delayed “by the more cautious Netflix team.”

Meghan Markle’s Netflix Partnership Was Allegedly A Lost Cause

Weeks after claims of Netflix and Meghan’s amicable separation as partners, The Blast reported that other sources painted a different narrative. These insiders argued that the streaming platform suffered significant losses from their deal with the Duchess and chose to cut their relationship short.

One source claimed the platform invested millions in their deal with the media personality, but they did not see “a return whatsoever.” There were also claims of Netflix’s team having a hard time on the lifestyle series because they “did not enjoy working with Meghan.”

Although there were claims of tension between the Duchess and Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, both sides denied the rumors. Sarandos has been a consistent supporter of the Sussexes, once claiming the million-dollar deal with Prince Harry and his wife was “a big discovery model” for Netflix.

Adam Driver Rumored to Be Marvel Studios' New Magneto for the MCU's X-Men Reboot : Coastal House Media

A major Marvel rumor is making waves online, with reports claiming that Adam Driver is being lined up to play Magneto in Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated X-Men reboot.

The casting rumor quickly gained traction after surfacing through industry scoopers before spreading across social media, Reddit, and several entertainment news outlets. While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm the report, Driver’s name has rapidly become one of the most talked about possibilities for the iconic mutant leader.

If the rumor proves true, Driver would become the third major actor to portray Erik Lehnsherr on the big screen, following legendary performances by Sir Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender. The role is widely considered one of Marvel’s most complex characters, requiring an actor capable of balancing both villainy and sympathy, something many fans believe Driver has consistently demonstrated throughout his career.

Adding even more excitement to the speculation is the timing. Marvel Studios is expected to return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con later this month, and many insiders believe the presentation could serve as the stage for the studio’s first official X-Men casting announcements. While rumors continue to point toward Hall H as the place where Marvel could unveil its new mutant lineup, the studio has not confirmed that any X-Men casting announcements are planned, making the speculation just that for now.

Recent reports have suggested Marvel is assembling a fresh roster of mutants following the events of Avengers: Secret Wars, with younger actors reportedly being sought for characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Nightcrawler. Veteran actors are still believed to be in the mix for legacy characters such as Magneto and Professor X, making Driver’s rumored involvement a believable fit if Marvel chooses to go that route.

Magneto, Marvel

Driver is no stranger to blockbuster franchises, having portrayed Kylo Ren throughout Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy while also earning Academy Award nominations for Marriage Story and BlacKkKlansman. His ability to portray emotionally layered characters has made him a longtime fan favorite for several Marvel roles.

For now, however, fans should approach the rumor with caution. Marvel Studios has remained silent regarding its X-Mencast, and numerous names have been linked to the reboot over the past year without becoming official.

With San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, fans may not have to wait much longer to learn who will lead the next generation of Marvel’s mutants. Whether Adam Driver ultimately dons Magneto’s iconic helmet remains to be seen, but if the Hall H rumors prove accurate, the official reveal could be just days away.

Travis Kelce’s Wedding Ad Sparks New Fan Backlash

Published

on

Travis Kelce at The 'Players Party' 2022 Co-Hosted By Michael Rubin, MLBPA And Fanatics

Fresh off one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year, Travis Kelce is facing a new wave of criticism, this time over a promotional campaign that appeared to capitalize on the couple’s highly publicized nuptials.

While many fans celebrated the playful nod to his marriage to Taylor Swift, others accused the NFL star of turning a deeply personal milestone into a marketing opportunity, igniting a spirited debate across social media.

The debate began after Accelerator Active Energy unveiled a new advertisement featuring Travis Kelce, who serves as both an ambassador and co-owner of the zero-sugar energy drink brand.

Rather than quietly congratulating the NFL star on his marriage, the campaign leaned heavily into the wedding itself.

One image shared on Instagram showed Kelce smiling over his shoulder while holding a can, with the words “Happily. Ever. After,” written above it.

Another featured a vintage red pickup truck decorated with “Just Married” across the back as cans of the beverage trailed behind it, an apparent nod to Kelce and Swift’s wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The company reinforced the theme in its caption, writing, “The love story continues. CONGRATS @killatrav!!!”

The campaign quickly made its way to Reddit, where critics argued the advertisement blurred the line between celebrating a personal milestone and monetizing it.

Several commenters accused Travis Kelce of turning one of the biggest moments of his personal life into another branding opportunity.

One user remarked, “To anyone who believes this marriage is anything but a business arrangement: I have some beach property in Kansas to sell you.”

Another user with similar sentiments shared, “I feel like I’m being gaslighted when calling out this blatant monetization of an egotistical couple. Please please let them fail with their endeavours.”

Others were far less subtle. “This is embarrassing. This is the stuff you expect off those scummy influencers who post their kids online not from a (what I’m aware, I’m not American) successful sports person married to a A List pop star,” one angry user shared.

As criticism mounted, attention shifted away from the wedding references and toward the campaign’s creative execution.

Some Reddit users became convinced parts of the advertisement had been created using artificial intelligence after spotting what they believed were visual inconsistencies throughout the images.

One Reddit user pointed to several details, writing, “Holy AI. I need another New Yorker to confirm that I’m not far off, but if you stand at 34th & 6th, the Empire State Building is that far away, and you wouldn’t see it head on like that, only from the side.”

They also added, “And to be able to see the building and Macy’s at the same time as this picture suggests, Macy’s would have to be on your left hand side.”

Others described the campaign as unsettling rather than innovative, with one person writing, “SUPER weird. Subtle marketing would work so well for them but they rolled out their nuptials in the most obvious, tacky way.”

Kelce Also Found Plenty Of Fans Defending The Campaign

Not everyone saw the advertisement as a misstep. On Instagram, many supporters embraced the campaign as a fun extension of Travis Kelce and Swift’s wedding celebrations, filling the comments with congratulatory messages instead of criticism.

“This ad is so good. Congrats to our beautiful souls, Travis and Taylor,” one fan wrote.

Another commented, “Love me some accelerator and Travis!! Go chiefs and go Taylor!! Ready to stock up!!” while a third added, “Congratulations! Such a beautiful day of celebration for all who love Travis and Taylor!”

A fourth fan also noted, “Ah this is so cute. Congratulations t and t,” while a fifth added, “Congratulations!!!! I am very proud of both y’all fr a love story.”

Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift’s New Companion Delights Fans

Even as debate continues over Kelce’s wedding-themed advertisement, the newlyweds have also given fans something far less controversial to celebrate.

Swift and Kelce reportedly expanded their family by quietly welcoming a fluffy white Samoyed into their home, marking a new chapter in their life together after tying the knot earlier this month.

While many only recently began speculating about the pup after it appeared in a framed wedding photo, sources shared that the couple actually adopted the dog months before saying “I do.”

The pet was recently spotted accompanying Kelce after he stepped off Swift’s private jet in Florida, further fueling excitement among fans.

The addition is especially notable because Swift has long been known as a devoted cat owner to Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button, making the Samoyed her first publicly known dog.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix
Advertisement

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max
Advertisement

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner
Advertisement

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune
Advertisement

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars
Advertisement

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.
