Megyn Price and Patrick Warburton in Rules of Engagement

After briefly losing the top spot, Louisa Levy’s Off Campus is once again the number one show on Prime Video this week. Inspired by Elle Kennedy’s book series, the show stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli as a music student and a star hockey player who find unexpected romance. The romance drama series has been quite acclaimed and popular since its premiere in May, but in case you’re in the mood for something a little different this week, there’s still a lot more to explore on the streaming service. Here’s a look at three great shows that we think you should binge on Prime Video this week.

Created by Tom Hertz, Rules of Engagement is a CBS sitcom that revolves around a group of friends: a married couple, an engaged couple, and their single friends. The show follows their interpersonal relationships and the many hilarious complications of dating and marriage that they run into. The series stars Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price, Oliver Hudson, Bianca Kajlich, David Spade, and Adhir Kalyan in lead roles, with several notable recurring and guest stars including Curtis Armstrong, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, and more.

Produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, Rules of Engagement aired a hundred episodes across seven seasons, earning largely negative reviews throughout that time. But even though critics never really warmed up to it, the show proved quite successful with audiences, garnering good ratings. The series also received three Emmy Award nominations and won four BMI Film & TV Awards for Best TV Music.

‘Primeval’ (2007–2011)

A British sci-fi TV show created by Tim Haines and Adrian Hodges, Primeval follows a group of scientists as they investigate several temporal anomalies that appear across the United Kingdom. With creatures from the distant past and future threatening the present, the scientists help deal with the fallout of these anomalies while simultaneously uncovering a plot to bring about the end of the world. The show stars Douglas Henshall, James Murray, Andrew-Lee Potts, Lucy Brown, Hannah Spearritt, Juliet Aubrey, Ben Miller, and more in key roles across seasons.

Back when Primeval first premiered in 2007, the show was rather unfavorably compared to Doctor Who, but as the first season progressed, the critical and audience response grew ever more favorable. By the end of its five-season run, the show was a widely acclaimed international hit, having grown into a unique sci-fi series in its own right. Often ranked among the best British sci-fi shows of all time, Primeval went on to spawn a multimedia franchise that includes novels, games, a spin-off series, and merchandise.

‘Small Axe’ (2020)

An anthology series of five films, Small Axe is a British series created and directed by Steve McQueen that explores the history of West Indian immigrants in England across three decades. Spanning the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s, each installment of the anthology explores a different story set against the backdrop of real events. The anthology features a star-studded ensemble cast across its five films, with Letitia Wright, John Boyega, Malachi Kirby, Micheal Ward, Shaun Parkes, and more in key roles.

Small Axe premiered at the 2020 New York Film Festival and screened as part of the Cannes Film Festival the same year, earning near-universal acclaim from both presentations. A powerful, educational, and inspirational anthology that covers political realities, personal struggles, and emotional moments with equal care, the series has since grown to be acknowledged as one of the finest miniseries of the 21st century. Though it’s relatively underrated these days, Small Axe earned several accolades at the time of its release, including a Golden Globe, a Peabody Award, and six BAFTAs.

Raunchy R-Rated HBO Series Brings New York’s Sleaziest Era To Life

Published

on

By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

New York’s Time Square is a tourist attraction today, playing host to millions of visitors to enjoy the mecca of American consumerism. It wasn’t always that way. HBO’s hit series The Deuce, all about the rise and fall of the adult industry in New York City, which happens to coincide with the fall of the Mafia, and a massive, citywide crackdown on crime. It was put together by David Simon and George Pelecanos, both of whom know a little about award-winning street-level crime dramas since they were the creator, and writer, of The Wire.

The Time Period New York City Wants To Forget

The Deuce Season 1 Is Clearly The 70s

The Deuce is only three seasons long. Each season covers a different time period, starting with 1971, jumping to 1977 for Season 2, and then a big leap to 1984. The actual plotlines are fictional, including James Franco’s dual role as twin brothers Vincent the bartender and Frankie the degenerate gambler. Vincent and Frankie is the way into the Mob’s expansion into the adult industry as both soon find themselves wrapped up running Mafia fronts. It’s a bit of a Trojan Horse as the real star turns out to be Candy, a former streetwalker turned director played by Maggie Gyllenhaal in what could be the best performance of her career.

The Deuce digs deep into the lives of characters operating on the fringe of society making it a great companion piece to The Wire. One scene will have you agreeing with a pimp, the very next will make you think that same character is the worst man on the planet. David Simon knows that people are neither truly good or bad, and when even the third-tier background character you took for granted decides that enough has been enough, you’ll appreciate all the time spent getting to know every nook and cranny of 42nd Street.

The Deuce Was The Last Of A Dying Breed Of Television

The Deuce Season 3 Is Right In The Middle Of The 80s

Characters age and change between seasons with each season premiere serving as an explainer of what happened in the years we didn’t get to see. It’s rare that a series aims to tell a short story, and is given the runway by the network to do everything it wants. HBO was happy to be working with David Simon, and it shows, with every episode bringing you back to the gritty, yet bright and lively streets of New York before the tourists arrived.

The Deuce doesn’t shy away from its dark subject matter. Vincent and Frankie’s involvement with the Mob spirals out of control and impacts their family, especially their brother-in-law, Bobby (The Wire veteran Chris Bauer),and runs afoul of their father, played by Armand Assante. Candy’s attempts at going legit often fail to raise up and empower the women around her. The only series that this mix of human emotion and violence can be compared to is, of course, The Wire

The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Magic City, all came before The Deuce, and since the end of HBO’s look back at New York City, no one’s tried to tackle a show like it. Like the time period it covers, The Deuce is now a relic of a culture that’s been left behind by the mainstream.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s daughter, Vivian, is her mother’s mini-me.

Vivian, 13, appeared alongside brothers Jack, 18, and Benjamin, 16, in FIFA World Cup photos shared by their dad via Instagram on Monday, July 20. One snap showed the kids wearing matching red and blue jerseys as they posed with Brady, 48, at a recent soccer match. Vivian looked like the spitting image of Bündchen, 46, as she wore her light brown hair down and parted down the middle.

In another photo, Vivian hugged her dad as she sported a dark blue Brazil jersey, representing her mom’s native country.

“What a finale to one of the greatest month-long sporting events we’ve ever seen,” Brady captioned the Instagram carousel. “So happy to share it with my favorite crew.”

Tom Brady may have seven Super Bowl rings, but there’s one athletic arena where he thinks his daughter could outshine him — the Olympic Games. On April 20, the 48-year-old former quarterback took to Instagram to share a video of him and his 13-year-old daughter, Vivian Lake, playing volleyball outside during a nighttime session. His […]

The retired NFL star continued, “To everyone who made this month what it was, friends, family, and the athletes from around the world who stepped in the arena… these are the memories we’ll be talking about for the rest of our lives and I’m glad I made them with you. Sports have given me everything. But watching this one from the other side reminded me why any of us fall in love with sports in the first place. Thank you for the memories @fifaworldcup, see you in 4 years!”

Brady shares Vivian and Benjamin with ex-wife Bündchen, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2022. He shares Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan.

Bündchen, meanwhile, is also a mom to a son with husband Joaquim Valente. The supermodel and her jiu-jitsu instructor tied the knot in December 2025, 10 months after they welcomed their first child together.

Bündchen paid tribute to Valente, 38, on Father’s Day last month.

“Happy Father’s Day @joaquimvalente! Thank you for leading by example, and for the values you embody, love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency,” she wrote on June 21 alongside family photos. “You are an incredible role model. We are all so grateful for you, and we love you so much.”

Earlier in June, Bündchen made a rare comment about her former life in New England with Brady.

“I had moved to Boston and was living a much quieter life,” she told W Magazine. “Earlier in my career, everything was about achievement and saying yes to every opportunity.”

Bündchen continued, “Over time, I began to understand the importance of finding balance. My spiritual practice helped me become more present and more connected to myself. Instead of focusing on external expectations, I started paying attention to how I felt internally. That changed everything — not only my work, but also the way I experienced life.”

“Imagine knowing someone and even being friendly with them and then they turn out to be, like, a monster,” Carole previously told The New York Times in March. “The thing about her that made it easy for me to spend any time with her at all was that she was very intelligent, she was educated. Avengers: Doomsday Smashes Advance Ticket Sales With Massive $16.5 Million Opening Day : Coastal House Media

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has shared his most candid comments yet about the troubled development of Marvel’s long-delayed Blade reboot, admitting he feels personally responsible for the project never getting off the ground with Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali.

Speaking during a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast while promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Feige reflected on the six-plus years of setbacks surrounding the highly anticipated reboot, calling it one of the biggest disappointments of his career.

“I feel like a gigantic loser and failure that we didn’t get off the ground with Mahershala Ali.”

Marvel first announced Ali as the MCU’s new Blade during San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, generating enormous excitement among fans. However, the project soon became one of the studio’s most troubled productions, cycling through multiple writers, directors, release dates, and creative overhauls before ultimately being removed from Disney’s theatrical calendar.

According to Feige, Marvel ultimately chose not to force the film into production unless it met the studio’s expectations.

“We weren’t going to make it until it was insanely great,” Feige explained, emphasizing that the character deserved the best possible introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The reboot has endured years of production challenges, including changes in creative leadership, multiple screenplay rewrites, scheduling issues, and delays caused by the Hollywood strikes. Despite the setbacks, Feige indicated that Marvel has not abandoned the character entirely. The film remains in development, and Mahershala Ali is still reportedly attached to star if the project eventually moves forward.

The comments also come after Wesley Snipes made his surprise return as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine, a cameo that reignited fan enthusiasm for the iconic vampire hunter while also raising new questions about the future of Ali’s version of the character.

For now, Marvel’s focus remains on upcoming projects including Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday, while Blade continues to wait for the right creative direction.

Whether Mahershala Ali will eventually wield the Daywalker’s sword on the big screen remains one of the MCU’s biggest unanswered questions.

Anthony Edwards To Pay Ayesha Howard $3K In Child Support

UPDATE: Georgia Judge Sets Anthony Edwards' Monthly Child Support Amount For Daughter With Ayesha Howard

After more than a year tussling in court, Ayesha Howard and Anthony Edwards have reached the end point of their child support case. The ex-lovers share a daughter named Aubri Summer Edwards, who was born in October 2024.

Howard is also the mother of Lil Baby’s eldest son, Jason, while Edwards reportedly has three additional children with three other women.

Anthony Edwards To Pay Over $3,000 In Monthly Child Support

According to TMZ, a Georgia judge has settled the child support dispute between Anthony Edwards and Howard regarding their 1-year-old. The Minnesota Timberwolves player will have to pay Ayesha $3,222 monthly for Aubri. This amount appeared to rely on income information from both parents. His income was reportedly listed as over $200 million, while Ayesha’s was listed as zero. Additionally, Howard was allegedly a no-show at trial and failed to present evidence to the court in support of her claims.

Anthony Has Been Paying Ayesha Since 2025

While going through the legal channels, Ayesha Howard was reportedly already receiving child support for Aubri. TMZ reports that Anthony Edwards began cutting checks in January 2025. He reportedly paid his ex-boo $20,000, then paid another $5,000 through the date of their trial. So far, per TMZ, he’s paid Howard $110,000 in child support. Neither parent has addressed the recent child support ruling.

More Details From The Child Support Case

As previously reported, this child support case has been going on since the fall of 2024. That December, a court-ordered DNA test proved that Anthony Edwards was the father of Ayesha Howard’s daughter. A few months later, in February 2025, court documents stated that Edwards had denied custody or visitation rights. Instead, the pro-baller appeared to be only interested in settling financial support for the then-infant.  At one point, each parent was tussling in court over which state their case should be reviewed in. Ayesha filed in California, while Anthony filed in Georgia — where the case concluded. Last year, Ayesha twice denied social media rumors that Anthony Edwards had paid her a $1 million lump-sum child support payment.

A Complete Timeline of Erik and Lyle Menendezs Murder Case From Arrest to Sentencing to New Hearing

Mary Jo Connery (formerly Mary Jo Buttafuoco) reacted to Amy Fisher’s son Brett Anthony Bellera’s arrest more than three decades after she and Fisher were involved in the “Long Island Lolita” case.

“I have known about this kid and his issues for years now. It’s about time someone has put it out there,” Connery, 71, told NewsNation in a statement on Tuesday, July 21. “This kid never had a chance.”

Connery continued the statement by making a snide comment about how Fisher, 51, now makes money. “I suggest you reach out to his mother at Streamate … a porn site. Are we surprised??” she said.

Fisher made headlines when she shot Connery, who was married to Fisher’s lover Joey Buttafuoco, in the face in 1992 when she was just 17 years old.

Fisher, who became known as the “Long Island Lolita,” was arrested for the incident and served seven years in prison before she was released on parole in 1999. She then married Louis Bellera, whom she shares three children with, and they moved to Florida. However, they have since split and she moved back to Long Island.

Buttafuoco, 70, was also arrested following the shooting and served four months for statutory rape.

Us previously reported that Brett, 25, and his girlfriend, Jennifer Armenti, were both charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after their cat, Reaper, was found burned to death in their Fort Lauderdale, Florida, apartment following a December 2024 incident.

It was determined that the cat died after “involuntary heat exposure,” and it’s believed that the cat sustained the injuries from microwave radiation, being submerged in hot water or exposure to hot water vapor, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)’s forensic necropsy, per WPLG.

Brett was hit with the charges while he was already in police custody on other charges.

WPLG reported that a friend of Brett and Armenti, 36, notified authorities that the cat had died on December 15, 2024. Armenti initially claimed that she found the cat’s body on the bathroom floor and believed he died after ingesting cleaning products. However, animal care employees reported that the cat was found dead on the back patio of the home and was covered in blood while in a laundry basket.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Widow Sues His Mom for $1.2 Million

Published

on

Everything We Know About Malcolm Jamal Warners Death So Far

Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s widow is suing his mother in a prenuptial dispute one year after the actor died.

News broke on Tuesday, July 21, that Tenisha Warner filed a lawsuit in DeKalb County Superior Court against his mother, Pamela Warner. Pamela is the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust, which Malcolm-Jamal set up in 1996.

In court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Tenisha, 48, claimed she is entitled to more than $1.2 million from the trust. Tenisha alleged that the sum is the equivalent of what Malcolm-Jamal had promised her as part of their May 2022 premarital agreement. Tenisha alleged that Malcolm-Jamal did not deliver before his death, explaining that she is a creditor of his estate.

In her complaint, Tenisha alleged that Malcolm-Jamal’s estate is currently unrepresented and “will be inadequate to satisfy” his obligations to her. She claimed that the property of a California-based family trust is liable for his debt to her. While the administration of his estate is contested, Tenisha claimed that her rights are vulnerable.

Hollywood is in mourning following the tragic death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner. On July 21, 2025, news broke that The Cosby Show alum died in Costa Rica. He was 54. Warner skyrocketed to fame when he landed the role of Theodore Huxtable on NBC’s sitcom. While playing the fan-favorite character from 1984 to 1992, the actor […]

“Plaintiff performed all obligations required of her under the agreement, including entering into and remaining in the marriage until the decedent’s death,” the lawsuit reads. “The decedent died without having satisfied his obligations under the agreement, and no person or entity has paid or provided the sums due to plaintiff under the agreement.”

The lawsuit is seeking to block Pamela from distributing trust property while the dispute is litigated. In the court documents, Tenisha included a copy of the prenuptial agreement — which was signed before the pair tied the knot in 2022.

The documents indicated that Malcolm-Jamal’s annual earnings were about $680,000 and his net worth was around $3.4 million. At the time, Tenisha was unemployed and had a net worth of about $0. She was pregnant with their second child and had been living together at his properties in Atlanta and Los Angeles, per the agreement.

The agreement noted that Malcolm-Jamal was to buy and maintain a $1 million life insurance policy, where Tenisha was the sole beneficiary, and agreed to get a $1 million life insurance policy on her. She was named as the primary beneficiary.

Tenisha, however, claimed in the court documents that Malcolm-Jamal did not get either insurance policy and alleged that he did not pay her $5,000 per month as his “chief of staff” and give her $16,000 per year on their anniversary. She further alleged that Malcolm-Jamal did not fund a tax-free retirement account for her and maintain college funds for their children.

Tenisha alleged that she is owed at least $1,276,042 plus interest and attorney fees. She also filed a creditor’s claim in the DeKalb County Probate Court against Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s estate, where she sought the same amount.

Malcolm-Jamal drowned in July 2025 on a Costa Rican beach after he was caught in a riptide. He was 54. At the time, Malcolm-Jamal was traveling with Tenisha and their daughter.

Later that year, Pamela spoke out in an interview with Us about what Malcolm-Jamal’s legacy would be.

“What was important to him was integrity,” she said in December 2025. “Your craft is your baby, and you must treat it as such. But more than that, be the best human you can be.”
