5 Lord of the Rings Characters Who Made Sauron Nearly Unstoppable

Published

on

Shelob stalks Frodo in Mordor

Sauron is the primary antagonist throughout The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and for a significant portion of the universe that author J. R. R. Tolkien outlined. He is the eponymous Lord of the Rings, as he is responsible for distributing the rings of power to the elves, dwarves, and humans. Of course, everyone knows that Sauron lied to them all and secretly forged a ring of his own, one that was infinitely more powerful than the others. One Ring to rule them all.

It is this One Ring that Sauron uses to dominate Middle-Earth, and to wage war against its people, which is why the trilogy revolves around the ring being destroyed. Though Sauron is a powerful force that few could ever hope to stand against, he rarely works alone. Indeed, the Dark Lord of Mordor has had many servants and allies throughout his reign of terror. Many are clumsy and oafish, like the orcs and trolls, but others are much more dangerous. This list will discuss Sauron’s most powerful allies, but they won’t be ranked in any particular order.

You Belong To…

The race that claimed the most of your answers is your true kin. If two tied, both are shown — you walk between worlds.

◆ A TIE — YOU WALK BETWEEN TWO RACES ◆

🌿

Your Race

The Hobbits

You are, at your core, a creature of comfort, community, and quiet joy — and there is nothing small about that. Hobbits are proof that heroism does not require ambition, that the bravest heart can beat inside the most unassuming chest. You value good food, warm hearths, close friends, and a world that stays largely untroubled by dark lords and quests. When adventure does find you — and it will — you rise to it not because you sought it, but because the people you love needed you to. That is not ordinary. That is the rarest kind of courage in all of Middle-earth.

🌟

Your Race

The Elves

Ancient, graceful, and carrying a weight of memory most mortals cannot fathom, you are one of the Elves. You see the world in its fullness — its beauty, its impermanence, the unbearable ache of watching everything you love eventually fade. You pursue perfection not from pride, but because excellence is how you honour the time you have been given. Others may see you as remote or melancholy. They are not wrong, exactly. But they mistake depth for distance. You feel everything — which is precisely why you have learned to carry it so quietly.

⚒️

Your Race

The Dwarves

Stubborn, proud, fiercely loyal, and possessed of a work ethic that would exhaust most other races before breakfast — you are Dwarf-kind through and through. You do not ask for approval and you do not offer it cheaply. Your loyalty, once given, is given for life. Your grudges last longer. You love deeply and defend ferociously, and the things you build — with your hands, with your sweat, with generations of accumulated craft — are made to last. Not for glory. Because anything worth doing is worth doing properly, and you have never once done anything by half measures.

⚔️

Your Race

The Race of Men

Mortal, ambitious, flawed, and magnificent — you belong to the most complicated race in Middle-earth, and that complexity is your greatest strength. Men are capable of cowardice and extraordinary bravery, of cruelty and breathtaking sacrifice, sometimes within the same breath. You feel the urgency of your finite years, and it drives you. You want to matter. You want to leave something behind. You fall, and you rise, and the rising is what defines you. Tolkien called mortality the Gift of Men — not a curse, but a fire that burns bright precisely because it does not burn forever. That fire is you.

💀

Your Race

The Orcs

Brutal, survivalist, and contemptuous of anything that can’t defend itself — you answered with the instincts of an Orc, and there is a certain savage honesty in that. You do not dress up your desires in polite language or pretend you want things you don’t. You want power, survival, and to never be at the bottom of any hierarchy ever again. Orcs are not evil by nature — they were made from something that was once good, and broken into this shape by forces they did not choose. What remains is fierce, territorial, and deeply aware that the world is not kind. You’ve made your peace with that. The question is what you do with it.

The Witch-King of Angmar

The Witch-King of Angmar is the chief of the Nazgûl, also known as the Ringwraiths. The Ringwraiths were men once, who were given nine rings of power by Sauron himself, which warped them into phantom-like beings, neither living nor dead. The Witch-King, as his name implies, was once the ruler of the northern land of Angmar, a snowy, mountainous land full of antisocial people and misery.

In The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the Witch-King is played by Lawrence Makoare, who gives the character a deeply imposing presence that lets the viewer feel the evil coming from him. With powers of sorcery behind him, poisonous blades, immortality, and superhuman strength, the Witch-King was among the most feared of Sauron’s lieutenants, especially when he rode astride his flying fell beast. Eventually, the Witch King is famously killed by Éowyn (Miranda Otto), Shieldmaiden of Rohan, aided by the Hobbit Meriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan).

Shelob

Shelob stalks Frodo in Mordor Image via New Line Cinema

Shelob is one of the Great Spiders and a daughter of Ungoliant, one of the most powerful beings in Middle-earth. While Ungoliant initially worked with Morgoth, Sauron’s master, she eventually betrayed him, acting independently, driven by her insatiable hunger. Shelob is mostly in the same vein: she is primarily interested in herself rather than in serving the Dark Lord.

However, Shelob and Sauron have developed a minor alliance that is shaky at best. The agreement is that Shelob has to guard Cirith Ungol, the hidden mountain pass into Mordor for Sauron. In exchange, Sauron feeds her prisoners and lets her feast on his orcs should they stray into his territory. While not as powerful as her mother, who actually defeated Morgoth, Shelob is still an immensely powerful being, with very few able to stand against her. In fact, Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin) was the first living being to ever harm Shelob in centuries, possibly even millennia, though he was not able to kill her.

Saruman the White

Christopher Lee as Saruman with his hand on a crystal ball in The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers Image via New Line Cinema

Saruman (Sir Christopher Lee) is the leader of the Istari, the five wizards of Middle-earth. He is the most powerful among them, and, like the others, is a Maia. The Maiar are sort of demigods, with both spiritual and human forms. In fact, Sauron is of this very same species. While the Istari are supposed to be dedicated to combating Sauron, Saruman eventually gave up his mission in favor of joining Sauron instead. However, their alliance is thin, and the two are always spying on each other.

Saruman actually plans to overthrow Sauron and rule Middle-earth himself, and Sauron is well aware of it. Still, their interests align enough that they are able to put their rivalry aside and focus on dominating the free people of Middle-earth. They communicate through the Palantir in their two towers, which is a crystal ball that serves as a direct line between them. Due to the fact that he is immortal and has the magic of the Istari behind him, Saruman is unquestionably one of Sauron’s most powerful allies.

Ancalagon the Black

Ancalagon the Black has never been featured on screen, but his name is enough to strike fear in the hearts of many throughout Middle-earth. Ancalagon was an enormous dragon, the largest ever reported to have lived in Middle-earth. He wreaked havoc throughout the First Age, bringing low the hidden city of Gondolin and slaying countless with his fiery breath. Though he did not possess any magic, his sheer size was enough to make him the ultimate killing machine.

Ancalagon was eventually slain by Eärendil, the father of Elrond (Hugo Weaving), in the First Age. To get a real grasp of how massive Ancalagon truly was, it is said that when he fell from the sky, his corpse crushed an entire mountain range, reducing it to pebbles, which obviously means he was nearly impossible to kill in the first place — not a lot of Medieval-esque weapons can really damage something that big. For his sheer destructive power, Ancalagon is amongst Sauron’s most feared and powerful allies, though the two never interacted much. They were simply allies due to the fact that they both served the same master at the same time.

Morgoth

Melkor, later known as Morgoth, is one of the Valar, a group of god-like beings that came into existence with the birth of Middle-earth. He is the only one to turn against the light, choosing instead to lead a path of darkness and death. He waged war against the other Valar and has been doing so for ages. When it comes to the villains of Middle-earth, Morgoth is actually the ultimate force of evil, not Sauron.

Put simply, Morgoth is a god, and Sauron is a demigod; thus, Morgoth is actually more powerful than Sauron, with the latter actually acting as a servant of the former rather than his own autonomous being. Sauron is always doing Morgoth’s bidding, even when Morgoth temporarily vanishes from Middle-earth. Because most of Arda’s problems are caused by Morgoth, if not all, he is obviously the most powerful ally Sauron has. While Sauron is more of a servant, being a servant and being an ally aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, provided they have the same purpose.

Meghan McCain Calls the Met Gala ‘Tone Deaf’

Published

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Meghan McCain is not a fan of the Met Gala.

“I think the Met ball is tone deaf given the times of extreme political populism we’re living in,” McCain, 41, wrote via X on Monday, May 4, the same day as the 2026 fundraiser. “The concept is creepy and the outfits look like villains in The Hunger Games.”

McCain also threw shade at congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for attending the event in 2021. (Ocasio-Cortez famously wore a white gown with the phrase “Tax the Rich” emblazoned in red.)

“AOC will always be a moron for having attended,” McCain wrote.

Several social media users called out McCain for slamming the Met Gala but not speaking out against the many events President Donald Trump has hosted while in office.

“Nothing to say about the tone deaf lavish soirées at Mar-a-Lago, hey?” one person replied while another responded, “Some one is a cry baby because she was not invited. Trump demanding a ball room funded by tax payers is more Marie Antoinette than the Met Ball.”

Days before, McCain praised New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for opting to not attend the event despite his predecessors having traditionally made appearances.

“You gotta give credit where credit is due – it’s a smart political move for Mamdani not to attend the Met Gala despite the long tradition of the NYC Mayor going,” McCain tweeted on Saturday, May 2.

Meghan McCain has put The View in her rearview mirror — but there’s one department that still holds a place in her heart. “I still miss the wardrobe people,” McCain, 38, told The Messenger in an interview published on Friday, October 13. “I just love getting dressed up. The Met Gala is the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It is held every year on the first Monday in May. Over the years, it has become known for its iconic red carpet, where celebrity attendees rock avant-garde looks set to a specific theme that coincides with the opening of Institute’s newest fashion exhibition. Anna Wintour has organized the event since 1995.

This isn’t the first time McCain — who has never attended the event — has shared her opinions on the Met Gala. In 2021, McCain slammed the event for its hefty price, which has been reported as upwards of $35,000 for an individual ticket while a table can cost more than $200,000.

“Am I allowed to not care about the Met Gala?” she wrote via X at the time. “I love fashion as much as the next woman but [it] would have been pretty amazing if all those celebrities took the 35K it costs for a table and donated it to essential workers and food banks in the country. The time of excess seems dated.”

Blake Lively Makes Met Gala Return After Lawsuit

Blake Lively Makes Met Gala Return After Lawsuit

Blake Lively is celebrating fashionably, just hours after it was announced that her “It Ends With Us” lawsuit has reached a settlement. The actress was all smiles at fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala, marking one of her high-profile appearances since her legal battle began in 2024, and her first since the resolution. Lively’s Met Gala attendance was her first since she co-chaired the event in 2022.

On May 4, Blake Lively’s counsel, in conjunction with the “It Ends With Us” attorneys, released a statement announcing the settlement of the case, two weeks before the scheduled trial date. “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind,” the statement read.

No other details about the case were disclosed in the statement, only noting that the settlement signifies “closure” in a case that has troubled both parties for close to two years.

On the same night, Lively celebrated by attending the 2026 Met Gala in a Versace gown fit for a princess. The actress had a beaming smile as she posed for photos and showed off her ensemble.

The Actress’ Archival Versace Dress

The 2026 Met Gala theme was “Costume Art,” encouraging attendees to wear fashionable walking works of art. Lively chose to wear a pastel-colored Versace gown from the spring 2006 archives, complete with a 13-foot train.

The brand’s artistic director, Donatella Versace, told Vogue, “Blake looks stunning in archive Atelier Versace. She has had so many iconic Versace moments at the Met, and tonight is no exception.”

Per the premiere fashion magazine, the dress was inspired by 18th-century Venetian Rococo paintings. The bodice had a structured silhouette and was embroidered with pastel gemstones, while the skirt created a three-dimensional structure reminiscent of Baroque church architecture, with the soft colors representing a sunset. “As in grand ceiling decorations, this is not simply a dress to be worn, but a space to inhabit,” the Italian luxury fashion house noted.

The actress’s accessories were carefully chosen as well. Her purse drew particular interest, which had a special significance to Lively. Although she attended the event without her husband, Ryan Reynolds, she brought a piece of her family with her.

She paired her gown with a custom-made Judith Leiber Couture bag that incorporated the paintings of her four children with Reynolds: James, Inez, Betty, and Olin. “I’m shy too, so I just like to have the kids with me. Isn’t that special?” Lively said on the red carpet.

The brand’s chief creative officer, Jana Matheson, told Vogue, “We used a minaudière shape with four sides, so each of her children’s drawings could be included. What better way to bring your four little ones to a black-tie event than by carrying them with you on your clutch?”

The Actress Was A Co-Chair At Her Last Met Gala

2026 marks Lively’s return to the biggest night in fashion since 2022, when she co-chaired the Met Gala along with Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Regina King. That year, the theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”

At their last Met Gala appearance, husband and wife wore Versace. Lively chose a column dress from the brand’s archives, which was decked with crystals, sequins, metallic leather, and an oversized bow tied at her waist. The actress astonished spectators when the bow was untied, revealing a long ombré train reminiscent of the colors of the Statue of Liberty.

Lively’s return to the Met Gala marks her 11th time attending the prestigious event. The actress first attended in 2008, wearing a Ralph Lauren gown. Over the years, she has showcased a range of designer looks from brands such as Burberry, Gucci, Chanel, and Marchesa, while returning to Versace on five separate occasions.

In 2024, Lively shared her fashion philosophy, calling it “method dressing.” “My style is just all over the place. I don’t think anyone would go, like, ‘Oh, that’s super her!’ I tend to dress like my characters when I’m doing a movie because fashion is always the way in,” the actress explained. “My closet is an amalgamation of that, and then my own style is an amalgamation of that. I’m just kind of a blend of all of them,” she shared.

Barbie Ferreira Reveals Cosmetic Her Fear

Published

Barbie Ferreira at the 98th Oscars - Red Carpet

One of Barbie Ferreira‘s fears is sure to catch up with her eventually.

The former “Euphoria” star spilled the tea on a cosmetic trend she greatly fears but will jump on later down the line. She previously made headlines for her body transformation channeled by outstanding weight loss and the burden of maintaining a certain look as a woman in the industry.

Barbie Ferreira walked away from her role as Kat Hernandez from the hit HBO show after appearing in two seasons. Since then, the model has gone on to work on other major projects, advancing her on-screen career.

Ferreira sat down with Owen Thiele for an episode of his “In Your Dreams” podcast, where she pulled back the curtains on a cosmetic procedure she is really scared to have.

Surprisingly, it is not one that demands the model to go under the knife, and her fear does not stem from the dynamics of the procedure itself, but rather from the aftermath.

She disclosed that even though she feels uneasy about getting the popular injectables, Botox, she has not thrown in the towel about getting it one day. She says that because of her career as an actress and the need to have her emotions at her fingertips on the job,  she wants to have an expressive face for the time being.

“I haven’t done Botox yet because I have to express a face, and I’m really scared to go down that route. It’ll eventually happen,” she explained before stating, “I’m the most expressive person ever — I’m really scared of it.”

Continuing the conversation, the 29-year-old actress shared alternative beauty treatment procedures she has undergone. Ferreira disclosed that she likes to do a lot of lasers, like Potenza, and when she was 23, she tried Morpheus 8.

The actress said that looking back, she realizes doing Morphesus 8 at that young age was “crazy.” She recalled the treatment being so intense that she was offered laughing gas and Ketamine during the procedure, but she declined.

The One Topic The Actress Does Not Like Talking About

MEGA

In a previous interview, Ferreira shared that her weight and changing figure are sensitive subjects for her, and she does not like being asked about them. This came after she posed in satin bras for her cover on Bustle. The model revealed that weight fluctuation was a normal thing in her family.

“I started modeling at 16, and I’ve looked different every year for over a decade. It’s very trendy right now to talk about women’s bodies, which is exactly why I personally don’t talk about it,” the former Euphoria star noted.

She further stressed that she is well aware of the swirling discourse about what she looks like, along with other women, tagging it “a losing game.”

“If we’re too small or too big, we lose. We are human beings who fluctuate. I gain weight, I lose weight; that’s just my life,” Ferreira explained before expressing that she did not realize people would be so hyper-fixated on her weight and body changes.

The Daily Mail reports that the “Mile End Kicks” star also shared that her weight has been a topic on people’s lips right from her early days as a teenager.

The Former ‘Euphoria’ Star Was Labeled An Activist

The model recalled during the same interview that she started speaking up about body positivity because she had to, even though she was not an adult at the time. Ferreira clarified that the activist label was unintentionally slapped across her back as she did not “even know what activism meant.”

“I’d put on a bikini for a campaign, everyone would get mad, and suddenly I was an activist,” the actress recounted. Looking back at the 17-year-old girl who just became an activist because of external influence, Ferreira has realized that true activism is dedicating one’s life to a cause.

The Blast reported that the TV personality admitted that even when people give positive feedback about her looks, it often comes with an underlying pressure to maintain that body shape or look. With time, people develop unhealthy eating patterns in their struggle to keep up appearances.

The former HBO star shared that the public’s heavy focus on her body feels like her cross to bear, and while she believes some people look great when they gain weight, they are rarely complimented by others.

Ferreira left the series after the second season, announcing her departure in an emotional farewell message. “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character, Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” her statement began.

She also noted that she dedicated a lot of love and care to playing the character and hoped viewers could feel the love through their screens.

At the time, the model did not disclose the actual reason she was saying goodbye to a character she had embodied for almost half a decade, and speculations arose that there were irons in the fire between her and the film executive Sam Levinson.

The Blast reported that sources claimed that the 29-year-old had attitudinal problems, stating that they believed she and some other actors were overconfident about their performances. They also shared that Ferreira was the messy type who never cleaned up after her hairless cat.

The insider claimed that she could not be bothered about others she shared her trailer with during filming and would not pick up her cats’ “piss and litter,” which posed inconveniences to others and played a part in her leaving the show.

MEGA

The actress held her silence for years and only cleared the air days after the third season of “Euphoria” hit the screens. She said that her departure from the series had nothing to do with drama, but more because she could not see a future for her character.

Ferreira stressed that she did not want to keep being a “background” character but wanted to explore other roles and projects. The “House of Spoils” star also revealed that her decision to leave the series was not made on a whim but after a long process of discussions about a direction for Kat.

“It was kind of the opposite of dramatic,” she said, emphasizing that it stemmed from several “conversations with people and us trying to figure out how to make Kat, like, a fully fleshed out character, and it just wasn’t going anywhere.”

The Blast reports in a previous release that Ferreira admitted that she would rather be in an indie movie where she is actively acting than be a background character on a big TV show.

‘The Rookie’ Wraps Up With a Chenford Cliffhanger That Saves an Uneven Season 8

Published

on

Nathan Fillion smiling at a public appearance

ABC’s The Rookie has offered plenty of exciting twists and turns this season. Our favorite police force has dealt with several terrifying villains, and we’ve even had a pretty blissful season of Chenford romance. But there were also some disappointing moments. The procedural still seems devoted to throwing in those pesky documentary-style episodes, and Season 8 relied way too heavily on bringing back old characters that didn’t offer anything to the current storytelling. I would have said that this season has been an uneven ride, except that the last moment in the finale ensures that I’ll be tuning in next season.

‘The Rookie’ Endangers Most of the Crew During an Exciting Mission

The episode opens with John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) underwater with shots ricocheting around him. It appears to be a dream, except that this exact scenario plays out later on. The main storyline in the episode revolves around criminal mastermind Heath Everett (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) being transferred from a Terminal Island prison to a nearby courthouse. Liam Glasser’s (Seth Gabel) lawyer, Malcolm (Sean Patrick Thomas), has sort of nonsensically become part of Everett’s legal team. He shows up at Wesley Evers’ (Shawn Ashmore) house to make amends, and asks whether Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) would be willing to drop the bribery charge against Everett. Wesley will be “paid handsomely,” which just seems like trading in one bribe for another — more on this later. In a completely predictable turn of events, Everett escapes during the prison transfer, although his escape is legendary. Somehow, a helicopter with a gigantic magnet simply lifts the entire van that Everett is in, and carries him off.

Through an elaborate plan, Everett ends up on a big ship, located near San Diego. The LAPD comes up with a small strike force to recapture Everett, which all seems hugely unrealistic for a local police precinct to take on. To make things even sillier, firefighter/EMT Bailey Nune (Jenna Dewan) comes along. The whole team paints their faces in camo and rides up to the ship in dinghies. This entire sequence of events is extremely hard to see, which has always been one of my biggest criticisms of The Rookie. Let’s just say that there’s a lot of shooting as Everett’s men try to protect him. Eventually, Everett is nabbed, and Nolan is separated from the group. He is able to defend himself and ends up driving a car on the ship (I know) until he’s forced to jump into the water. We see the exact scenario in his dream play out, but Bailey pulls him to safety, and all is well again. But I was stupid to think that Everett being in custody meant things were over.

‘The Rookie’ Season 8, Episode 18 Sets Up a Few Less Important Plots

There is so much major excitement happening with the take-down of Everett, but The Rookie still tried to set up a few secondary storylines. To tie up Wesley’s narrative, he decides to actually take Malcolm up on his offer and also joins Everett’s legal team. He approaches Tim to back down on the bribery charge, and Tim (appropriately) loses his cool. He tells Wesley their friendship has officially ended. In an out-of-character move, Wesley even says that perhaps it was Tim himself who elicited the bribe from Everett. At the end of the episode, Angela Lopez (Alyssa Diaz) tells Tim that Wesley has actually been working as a double agent to help capture Everett. Because this happens offscreen, it feels completely unearned and also unethical (which Wesley wouldn’t be down for, right?) Not sure why The Rookie writers decided to throw all of this into the episode, because Wesley deserves better than a throwaway side plot that doesn’t make sense. And we don’t really get any resolution in the argument between Tim and Wesley.

The finale episode also gives us a Miles Penn (Deric Augustine) plot, which should have been a main storyline in another episode. Miles thinks that he’s going to be done with the rookie program that day. But things go south when he’s put in charge of the station after everyone else is occupied with Everett’s escape. It’s immediately clear that Miles might not be up for the challenge, as we see chaos unfold with several drunk and disorderly criminals. In a terrifying moment, a shootout occurs in the station, which means that Miles didn’t process someone correctly. Miles is bewildered and assures Lucy and Nyla Harper (Mekia Cox) that he searched everyone. He is sidelined for duty, especially because one of the prisoners died in the gunfire, and a cop was injured. We later see Miles crying in the locker room, convinced he’s going to wash out. Nyla comes in to give him the good news: two other officers didn’t search the gunman correctly earlier, and he was able to stash a gun in the holding cell. Miles isn’t at fault, but when he asks if he’s actually still graduating, Nyla informs him that he officially has three weeks left. However, she’s going to put in a recommendation that he be accelerated out of the program. Miles offers such a great energy to the show, so I’m glad he won’t be exiting.

All of Tim’s friends implore him to finally ask Lucy to marry him, but first, Tim loses the ring in another entirely predictable plot point. Who would put a priceless ring in their pocket? Everyone helps him look for the ring, and eventually it’s located. Tim and Lucy go for a sunset walk on the beach, and in one of the loveliest moments in the show, he tells her how much she has changed his life and how much she means to him. He proposes, she says yes, and there couldn’t have been a sweeter, more perfect engagement moment for Chenford. I thought the episode was going to end there, but in one shocking twist, a man and woman come up to Lucy and Tim on the beach. At first, they just congratulate them on their engagement, and then they stick needles in both of their necks! One whispers, “Heath Everett says payback is a bitch!” and we finally get what’s happening. Everett is taking his revenge, but the culprits put hoods over Tim and Lucy’s heads, so they’re being kidnapped, not killed. As they reach for each other and start to lose consciousness, the episode ends.

This is a fantastic way to end the season. It sets up enough intrigue for Season 9, and guarantees that viewers will want to tune back in to find out what happens to the newly engaged couple. The episode does have some missteps. For example, I didn’t even get into the unimportant sideplot of Dash (Beckett Hawley) needing letters of recommendation from Nolan and Bailey for college. But the show did ratchet up the action with the exciting boat mission, and Everett seems to have been made our new, official big baddie. I’m a sucker for a good cliffhanger, and with this finale, The Rookie has ensured I’m a fan once again.

The Rookie is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S.

Stefon Diggs Accuser Claims Past Relationship, He Denies Assault

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

As new details emerge in the ongoing case involving Stefon Diggs, courtroom testimony is painting a more complex picture of the relationship at the center of the allegations. What once seemed like a straightforward legal matter is now unfolding into a layered situation involving personal history. With both sides presenting sharply different narratives, the courtroom has become the key space for determining what actually took place.

Chef Testifies About Relationship Timeline And Living Arrangement

Jamila Adams took the stand and detailed her history with Stefon Diggs, describing their relationship as “complicated.” She testified that the two first connected via Instagram about four and a half years ago, beginning as friends before it later “became sexual.” According to Adams, Diggs offered her a live-in chef position in early 2025, paying her $2,000 per week to cook and support his recovery during what she described as a “comeback year,” and she lived in his home from July through December. She further alleged that in December 2025, Diggs assaulted her, claiming he struck her across the face and attempted to choke her using the crook of his elbow.

Tensions Inside Household Allegedly Built Before Choking Incident

Adams also testified that tension developed within Diggs’ inner circle in the weeks leading up to the alleged incident. She claimed conflict arose after accusations surfaced that she had shared personal information about Diggs’ relationships, including claims involving another woman connected to his staff. Furthermore, this allegedly led to confrontation and growing friction in the household. And, it ultimately resulted in her being excluded from a planned trip to Miami. Defense attorneys, however, argued that disputes over money and disagreements with others in Diggs’ circle played a significant role in escalating the situation.

Stefon Diggs has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery. His defense team maintains that no assault occurred, pointing to the absence of physical evidence and witness testimony to support the allegations. “The assault that the Commonwealth described in their opening statement never happened. It did not happen,” Diggs’ attorney, Andrew Kettlewell, insisted.

The Internet Isn’t Minding Its Business In The Comments

Folks quickly ran to The Shade Room’s Instagram comment section, calling the situation “messy” as the details continued to unfold. Some users went in on Stefon Diggs, claiming he “really be doing anything,” while others speculated about what might have been happening behind the scenes. Meanwhile, a separate group of commenters suggested she might still be missing him, adding even more opinions to the ongoing debate.

One Instagram user @themaniac_mcclainiac said, “She up there lookin like ‘dam i ain’t know it was gon go this far’ 😂😂

Likewise, Instagram user @anunachinyere wrote, “Lol she having flashbacks, girl be serious for a second 🤣 😂 😭 💀

Then Instagram user @jazminefletcher commented, “Diggs don’t turn down no 🐱”

And, Instagram user @ciaralauren__ shared, “Girl, tighten up 😂😂😂😂”

Stefon Diggs’ Former Chef Claims They Had a Sexual Relationship

Published

on

The former private chef of NFL star Stefon Diggs claims they had more than a professional relationship prior to her accusing him of assault.

Mila Adams, who accused Diggs, 32, of strangling her over a financial dispute last year, described things as “complicated” between the pair when she took the stand at his trial on Monday, May 4.

“It started out as friends,” Adams said. “Became sexual. We would meet up, hang out. We decided I would come work for him in February of 2025.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Diggs’ attorney about Adams’ claims about her relationship with the football star.

Stefon Diggs has broken his silence on his impending release from the New England Patriots. “THANK YOU for a hell of a year,” Diggs, 32, wrote via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 4. “We family forever @patriots … Until we meet again.” Earlier on Wednesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported via X that Patriots […]

Adams said she and Diggs first met in December 2022 “through an Instagram message.” She began working as his live-in private chef in July 2025, roughly four months after Diggs signed a deal to join the New England Patriots.

“I’m skilled with recovery, so I knew what it would take to help him get healthy and stay healthy,” Adams explained.

Adams said she was responsible for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks every day, and was paid $2,000 per week.

While Adams was hired to cater to Diggs’ needs, she said she would also “cook for whoever was in the house.” Diggs and rapper Cardi B began dating in late 2024, welcoming their first baby together in November 2025.

Us exclusively reported earlier this year that the couple split “a few days” before Diggs and the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in February’s Super Bowl LX.

In November 2025, Adams said “an Instagram DM message was sent to his child’s mother’s friend and this message was stating that I was telling his personal business of women that he was sleeping with us that worked with us, that worked with me.”

In addition to the child he shares with Cardi B, Diggs is the father of an unconfirmed number of children with other women. In November 2025, a paternity test proved Diggs shares a baby girl with model Aileen Lopera, who was born in April 2025.

After the DM was sent, Adams said she was “confronted by Mr. Diggs,” who eventually uninvited her from a planned group trip to Miami.

In December 2025, Adams alleged that Diggs came into her bedroom after the pair had been engaged in a “text exchange.” In her lawsuit, Adams said she and Diggs were discussing alleged unpaid wages.

“He came in intent to hurt me,” Adams claimed on the stand. “He was leaning against the dresser. He asked me to get up to come here. I got up off the bed and I came across to him. I stood in front of him, I stood on the side of him as he was leaning back. And he was like, ‘What was all that s*** you was talking?’”

Before Adams could answer, she said Diggs allegedly “smacked” her with “an open hand.”

In a clip shared by Diggs’ personal trainer Clyde Simmons, Diggs was seen dancing to Cardi’s “Thotiana Remix.” […]

When asked to detail what happened next, Adams became visibly emotional and requested to “have a second.”

“He took his arm and he came around my neck and put his elbow around my neck,” Adams claimed. “He began to choke me, [put] pressure on my neck.”

Adams accused Diggs of then “falling on top of me on the bed.”

Diggs was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery in December 2025. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Young and the Restless 2-Week Spoilers May 4-15: Billy Panics & Michael’s Ruthless Plot!

Published

on

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) - Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)

Young and the Restless 2-week spoilers for May 4-15, 2026 reveal Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) plotting how to defeat the Newmans in court while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) panics as things go from very good to very bad for him and the woman he loves.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, May 4th

On Monday, May 4th, we’ve got Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) getting flirty with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) after saying she heard Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) left him. Patty suggests that Jack take off his wedding ring and get sexy with her. Jack grills Patty about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) paying her. Of course, she is going to lie right into Jack’s face and keep putting her hands all over him and flirting. And Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) walks up and is absolutely disgusted when he sees her that close to his father, Jack, with her hands on him. And Patty has to walk away.

Jack tells Kyle that he thinks he can use Patty against Victor, but Kyle thinks it’ll make things worse with Diane. So, Jack admits that Diane won’t see him, and at this point, he just feels like he’s stalking her. Jack wants to use Patty to make sure Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) stay split up, and Kyle suggests that he be the one to blindside Victor, and Jack agrees on that plan.

Y&R Spoilers: Diane Faces Off with Victor

Diane and Victor swap insults on Monday. Diane calls Victor heartless and mocks him for Nikki leaving him. So, Diane says Victor doesn’t care about anything except ruining Jack. And then Diane says she hopes Victor loses everything. He’s smug and admits he doesn’t care who he hurts. Patty joins them and pretends she hasn’t seen Victor in a while. Diane doesn’t buy it.

After she walks away, Diane is going to kind of lurk and watch them. But first, Patty claims that she’s a new woman and she tells Diane that she is getting closer to Jack. So, Diane insults Patty and that’s when she walks away. And Victor tells Patty that he likes the things that she is plotting. She thanks Victor for the chance to make this all happen.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Warns Billy

Then we’re going to have Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) warning Billy on Monday that he may be arrested because of email evidence that was found on the Chancellor servers. He is quite sure that Victor faked the evidence, but Victoria lies and denies. As usual, Billy asks if she will really let Victor do this to him. And Victoria says that Billy helped steal the Newman legacy.

He vows payback if they do this to him. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) walks in on them bickering and Victoria finds out they are engaged and Sally is pregnant. Billy says the baby has given him perspective and Victoria congratulates them but she looks kind of queasy about what she set in motion. Billy warns Sally that he, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may be in trouble.

Claire asked Nikki about Chancellor on Monday. She says Claire should run it because Nikki’s not coming back. She may start a new charity or work with Noah on his Genoa City Club. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) overhears and asks Nikki about Chancellor. She turns it around and asks Lily about her fake kidnapping deal with Victor, but Lily sidesteps, lies, and leaves.

Tuesday, May 5th on Y&R: Victor & Nikki Reject Each Other

Tuesday, May 5th, we’ve got Victor and Nikki having a moment where they could actually repair their marriage, but both Victor and Nikki reject it. They are both being stubborn. Plus, Victor is still wreaking havoc. Christine Williams Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) corners Phyllis with threats. Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) looks worse for wear at a diner and he asks the waitress how far away he is from the GCAC because he is on the way to Genoa City.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) grills Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) about her past. I’m sure it’s with Matt. Sharon still doubts that Matt is dead because there’s not been a corpse pop up. Sienna is going to insist she had no idea about the real Matt and who he was. She thought she was married to a cheating club owner.

Wednesday, May 6th on Young and the Restless: Claire Steps Up for Holden

Wednesday, May 6th, Phyllis and Michael scramble to do damage control. So, Phyllis and Michael meet with Billy up at the Summers Conglomerate office to strategize. Billy is panicked, especially because arrests seem to be coming.

Lily’s plan to help Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) falls through and Claire makes a bold move on Holden Novak‘s (Nathan Owens) behalf. So, I wonder if she is getting tested as a bone marrow donor once she hears that Cane’s been arrested or if Claire is pushing back on Victor because of some of the stuff he’s done. We’ll see.

Thursday, May 7th on Y&R: Matt Arrives in GC

Thursday, May 7th, Matt Clark makes it to Genoa City. He’s at the bar at the GCAC looking pretty dangerous, pretty mad. And he happens to be sitting across from Cane before things turn really bad and Christine comes to start making arrests based on that fabricated AI evidence.

Cane is arrested right in front of Lily with Christine there to watch. And this sends Lily into a tailspin because Cane was supposed to be going to donate bone marrow to Malcolm and now instead he’s going to jail. But Cane assures Lily that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will post his bail and he’ll get to New York in time to donate to Malcolm. Right now, by the way, Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) and Malcolm are both offscreen for a while.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) hugs and comforts Lily at the GCAC after Cane is cuffed and taken away by the cops. She’s absolutely distraught, thinking this is a death sentence for her dad. And Nick Newman‘s (Joshua Morrow) actions worry Phyllis. So, I wonder if she’s heard that Nick was abusing opioids and wound up overdosing in Vegas. By the way, I do not think his addiction arc is over quite yet. I think it’s going to carry over throughout May sweeps.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, May 8th: Nick Spills a Secret & Chelsea Grills Adam

Friday, May 8th, Victoria learns a secret from Nick. And I wonder if this is about his pill habit or something else. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) questions Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani) on Friday.

And I do wonder if Adam will come clean about making out with Riza or if he will lie and just hope that Chelsea never finds out. Plus, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) warns Phyllis and she may worry that her partner could actually go down if she doesn’t cave into Victor.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michael Baldwin – Billy Abbott

Preemption Note

All right, quick preemption note, then we’ll talk about the second week of spoilers. If you are on the West Coast on Tuesday and Wednesday, you’re going to see Young and the Restless preempted May 5th and 6th because of soccer. In the East Coast time zone, there is a very low chance of soap disruption. Check Paramount Plus or your on demand TV provider if it does not air in your region so you can see it.

Week of May 11th-15th on Young and the Restless

All right, now let’s talk about the next week of spoilers for May 11th through the 15th. Nick’s struggle isn’t done. He was just doing fentanyl and cocaine and just overdosed. So, I don’t think a few meetings are going to put him on the straight and narrow. Chelsea and Adam have a serious conversation about their future. This Riza stuff is really problematic. Matt is ready to take vengeful action. The Newmans are in trouble, but don’t know it. They’re going to be blindsided since Sienna assured them that she killed Matt. The question is, who is he going to go after first? The wife that just beat him half to death or somebody else he hates.

Phyllis could be in real trouble. Billy as well. She could do actual prison time. And Cane is trying to figure out a way to keep his promise to Lily. Sienna is annoyed when Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) gets flirty with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). And I am really hoping that Amanda has some kind of proof of Victor’s criminal action to use against him.

Plus, Victoria is feeling guilty because of what she’s doing to Billy, the father of two of her three kids. Word is going to spread about the Newmans setting Malcolm up for certain death because of their schemes and these arrests. Nate may come out hard against Victoria. I’m sure Victor won’t give a damn. Patty doubles down on getting Jack back, and Lily is increasingly terrified she will lose Malcolm.

27 Years Later, This Near-Perfect 5-Part Dark Fantasy Spin-off Is Now the Perfect Free Binge

Published

on

kemzk8uvksowscka77x68qjeufi.jpg

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer may be dead and buried, but the Buffyverse is still thriving. While fans hold out hope that Buffy can find another home, they can turn their attention to Tubi. The well-written, if somewhat infamous, spin-off is now free to stream with no subscription required.

Taking place after Buffy Season 3, Angel follows the titular vampire with a soul as he goes to the most soulless place in America — Los Angeles. The show starts slowly as Angel (David Boreanaz) teams up with Buffy’s old classmate Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) to help the helpless. The first season centers on Angel Investigations, a supernatural private investigation service, but throughout its five seasons, Angel went to the depths of hell in many storylines which were too dark for its flagship series.

‘Angel’ Was a Proper Follow-Up to ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’

Spin-offs are typically considered worse versions of the series that made them famous, but Angel is an outlier. It beat the odds by not trying to replicate what made Buffy great, but by telling entirely new stories. Buffy had its dark days, such as Season 6, but largely stuck to coming-of-age stories set in high school. Angel had a significantly darker tone because it was thematically about the trials of adulthood.

Camp Crystal Lake · Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees
Advertisement

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

  • He moves in straight lines toward his target. He doesn’t strategise, doesn’t adapt, doesn’t outsmart. He simply pursues.
  • Your ability to keep moving, use the environment, and resist the panic that freezes most victims gives you a genuine edge.
  • The Crystal Lake survivors were always the ones who stopped running in circles and started thinking about terrain, water, and distance.
  • You think like that. Which means Jason, for all his indestructibility, would face someone who simply refused to be where he expected.

Haddonfield, Illinois · Halloween

Michael Myers
Advertisement

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

  • But you are paying attention. You notice the shape in the window, the car parked slightly wrong, the silence where there should be sound.
  • Michael’s power lies in the invisibility of ordinary suburbia — the fact that nothing ever looks wrong until it already is.
  • Your spatial awareness and instinct to map every room, every exit, and every shadow before you need them is precisely the quality Laurie Strode had.
  • You are not a victim waiting to happen. You are someone who already suspects something is wrong — and acts on it.

Elm Street · A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger
Advertisement

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

  • You are harder to destabilise than most. You’ve faced uncomfortable truths about yourself and you haven’t looked away.
  • The survivors on Elm Street were always the ones who understood what was happening and chose to face it rather than flee from it.
  • Freddy’s greatest weakness is that his power evaporates in the presence of someone who refuses to give him the fear he feeds on.
  • Your psychological resilience — the ability to stay grounded when reality itself becomes unreliable — is exactly the quality that keeps you alive here.

Derry, Maine · It

Pennywise
Advertisement

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

  • The Losers Club didn’t survive because they were braver than everyone else. They survived because they faced their fears together, and faced them honestly.
  • You ask the questions others avoid. You look directly at what frightens you rather than turning away.
  • That directness — the refusal to let fear fester in the dark — is Pennywise’s worst nightmare.
  • It chose the wrong target when it chose you. You are exactly the kind of person whose fear tastes like nothing at all.

Chicago · Child’s Play

Chucky
Advertisement

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

  • You don’t have that gap. You take threats seriously regardless of how they present — and you never make the mistake of underestimating something because of its size or appearance.
  • Chucky relies on surprise, on the delay between recognition and response. You close that delay faster than almost anyone.
  • Your instinct to treat every unfamiliar thing with appropriate scepticism — rather than dismissing it because it seems absurd — is the exact quality that keeps you breathing.
  • Against Chucky, not laughing is already winning. You are very good at not laughing.

The show forged its own path while still respecting the mythology and lore of the original. Angel and Buffy became their own extended universe with thrilling crossover events that made both shows much more enjoyable to watch. Angel also functioned as a story that stood on its own two feet, with plotlines that no other series was even attempting to tell.

The protagonist’s entire story arc stems from his attempt to redeem himself. At the time, Angel was the only vampire with a soul, cursed to relive every murder and atrocity he committed with a conscience. With the hope of one day becoming human, Angel takes each day as it comes, solving supernatural mysteries and saving the world.

At its heart, the series is a film noir that is emotionally harrowing at times. There is levity to the show as Angel tries for five years to fight against the most evil beings of all time – corporate lawyers. However, the story shines when it comes to its central thesis. Through sexual assault, misogyny, and soul-sucking lawyers, Angel always maintains that no matter what happens, it is important to keep fighting.

In a poignant line that defines the series, Angel states: “If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.” The cancellation of the show after Season 5 was unexpected, but the show hammers home this point in its final moments. Angel had a proper ending as the core group continues to fight because that is often what life as an adult feels like. It is a constant struggle, but a struggle that is important nonetheless. Viewers can experience the ups and downs of Angel’s fight against evil by streaming all five seasons on Tubi.
