Big Brother live feeds updates show Barrett Pfeiffer‘s big bold talk, Angela Murray‘s arts and crafts, and Taylor Brown spilling to someone about her hairbrush hijacking. We’ll also do some vote counting.
Yash Patel told Drew Campbell “don’t be a Vince”. That’s advice better served to Barrett since he’s simping for Dee Valladares. Speaking of Yash, he’s the only one in the Big Brother 28 house who knows about the hairbrush!
Taylor told Yash she took the brush. Taylor was thinking of handing it to Drew if he’s evicted. But Yash advised that would put Taylor in a bad spot with the icons if she’s staying and Drew’s going.
Yash advised Taylor slip it into Drew’s suitcase when he packs up pre-eviction Wed night. Also, Angela found a way to curb her boredom with some arts and crafts.
She got out M&Ms and a coffee filter. She’s wetting the M&Ms with her makeup brush. The water loosens the dye. Then Angela’s using them to watercolor paint on the coffee filter.
Rick Devens warned Dee that she doesn’t understand how upset Barrett and Drew are with her. But Dee said she does understand but does not care. Thing is, Barrett picked up from Devens that Mallory Aurichio‘s the eviction plan.
Barrett warned Drew but they still think Taylor’s the eviction target this week but Dee really wants Mallory out to break up FAP4. Plus, Dee knows the bridge is burned so follow-thru is the best thing.
If Mallory stays, she’s very likely to come after Dee. Mallory’s also a very emotional player. Someone like that isn’t someone you want in jury either. Also, Drew and Mallory said they could work together in the Blockbuster to beat Taylor.
Dee’s planning to either blindside Barrett and Drew or tell them late tonight and try and blame it on others. But Haley Thogmartin just told Drew, in front of Devens and Dee, the plan. That Mallory goes.
Devens called Haley out after Drew left but Haley couldn’t grasp her big mistake. Then, Haley told Dee and Devens that she’d fix it. So Haley went and found Drew and said Dee and Devens told her she said it wrong.
Then Haley said the plan is to evict Mallory. Haley confirmed the blindside. Drew even asked for clarity and Haley confirmed keep Taylor, evict Mallory. Technically, Haley said Melody Morris instead of Mallory. Didn’t even get the names right while also failing to correct her mistake.
Drew talked to Barrett again who told Drew that the icons wouldn’t blindside them like that. By the way, Barrett talked to Melody about flipping the vote to save Mallory if it’s her versus Drew on the block Thursday night.
Barrett said the icons would be really upset with him which he said is fine and he told Melody it could be fun actually. Again, Barrett is all talk, zero action. I cannot believe he’d go against Drew.
Now, let’s talk about the votes. If Drew wins the Blockbuster, we have Taylor versus Mallory. Drew, Barrett and Melody would ideally vote to keep Mallory as their ally. But Devens, Angela, and LaTrice Lala Verrett would vote to evict Mallory.
Yash is more likely to evict Mallory since he likes Taylor. Even if it came to a tie, Dee would split the vote and send Mallory packing. And Haley would like vote as Dee wants, no tie needed.
If Mallory wins the Blockbuster, and it’s Taylor versus Drew, he’s likely safe. Haley wants her gone, the FAP3 off the block would vote to save Drew. And even if Yash and Lala voted to keep Taylor, Devens and Angela would save Drew and that’s five votes, no tie breaker needed.
The final scenario is Taylor wins the Blockbuster and it’s Mallory versus Drew, that’s messier. Barrett told Dee he’d vote to save Drew. Angela and Devens make three. Haley will likely vote with the vets and that’s four. If it went to a tie, Dee could send Mallory out.
Taylor, Yash, and Melody would likely vote to save Mallory. And they could save him if Barrett and Haley helped. But it seems a long shot and Mallory would likely be sent to meet Mrs. Moonves.
It’s most likely Taylor or Mallory going. Drew thinks he’s safe and likely is. But Mallory also thinks she’s safe. She and Melody talked about Mal being safe even against Drew.

By the way, this Sunday’s episode is pushed back an hour because CBS is adding a tribute to Dolly Parton to their evening show line-up. Wedneday’s episode of Big Brother is 90 minutes with the rest of the nomination ceremony fight, then the veto comp which Lala wins.
And Mallory’s renom. So we should see several meltdowns. As for Drew versus Taylor argument, Drew was one hundred percent lying about Taylor and she fact checked him.
The meeting he was talking about was the Lala HOH meeting which Taylor didn’t participate in. She was in the shower because she didn’t want to be part of Lala’s talk against the icons.
To be clear, everyone in the room, Drew, Barrett, Lala, Mallory, Melody, Yash – they all talked about the icons. Then, when Drew said and then you came out of the shower and that’s when Taylor pounced.
She asked how are you going to say I was in there when you just said I was in the shower. What they didn’t put on the episode was when Taylor pointed a finger at Drew and said she hates him. He did lie on her so yeah.
Taylor asked Barrett to confirm and he did, said Taylor was in the shower. Then, she said the conversation was who would you want up and these ladies (Melody and Mallory) said people who haven’t been nominated yet.
Honestly, Dee, Devens and Angela think the idea of them going on the block is unthinkable. It’s part of the game. Dee melted down when she was nominated. Angela handled it better.
And as of now in BB28, Devens remains the one person not nominated and he’s in a good position. Drews was wrong about Taylor on that point. But Dee and Devens still treated it as a win.
Then again, they seem to like to sit back and watch any and all house chaos that messes up other people’s games.

Loose, lightweight and polished, her breezy shirtdress style has the relaxed silhouette we want when temperatures are still hovering around 70 degrees, and there’s an affordable way to get her look.
Fanning was spotted in New York City on August 24, 2026, wearing a loose white short-sleeve shirtdress with black strappy flip-flops, a shoulder bag and oversized sunglasses. Her exact Ralph Lauren style comes with a designer price tag, but we found a chic, spot-on lookalike on Amazon for $39.

The Rooscier Button-Down Shirtdress captures the same easy-going look with its crisp collar, button details and relaxed silhouette. The mini style has a curved high-low hem that adds movement while helping the roomy shape skim the body. And because it’s made with 100% cotton, the dress feels breathable and light for summer and fall seasons.
Like Fanning’s choice, the dress comes in a versatile white shade, along with black, pink, blue and several other colors. We also like it’s size-inclusive design, ranging from XS to 2XL.
The simple yet versatile pick can go with so many things already in your wardrobe. Wear it with flip-flops or sandals while it’s warm, then add boots, tights or a denim jacket once temperatures drop.
Shoppers especially appreciate how flattering the relaxed silhouette can be. One reviewer with a “mama bod” called it “so comfortable and forgiving,” and said it “could be worn with a cute belt or sweater vest.” Another buyer who said the dress “looks high end” already has plans to grab more colors for the fall and winter seasons.
Fanning’s outfit is the kind of inspiration we need for those 70-degree days when it doesn’t quite feel like summer but it isn’t cool enough for sweaters yet. For $39, this Amazon lookalike delivers the same loose, polished appeal now, while being easy to layer well into fall.

Singer Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 at the age of 80. While best known for her music and philanthropy, the “9 to 5” singer spent much of her time out of the spotlight with her late husband, Carl Dean. Fans might be surprised to learn that she loved fast food and once even revealed her favorite menu order at Taco Bell!

Fans of Dolly Parton know that she loved fast food, especially Taco Bell and its Mexican pizza. “I like soft-shell tacos,” she once told Insider. “I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you’re riding around. So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that.”
She also revealed that her go-to order was much simpler: rice and beans. “I get an order of rice and beans. And I get the mild sauce,” she added. “I don’t like to get it too hot and ruin everything.”

The “Jolene” singer previously told Vanity Fair, “I tried every diet in the book. I tried some that weren’t in the book. I tried eating the book.”
“It tasted better than most of the diets,” she joked.
She once told the Wall Street Journal that she started her day at 3 AM with a cup of coffee that she called her “cup of ambition.” She also revealed how much heavy cream she used in her cup.
“I like quite a bit of cream, so it’s just a little more than tan,” she added. “A cup and a half will do me all day.”

She revealed that one of her homemade staples was a “quick and easy” egg salad. She went on to say that she ate a primarily low-carb diet, adding, “Through the week I’ll eat things like egg salad on toast with tomato, and sometimes I’ll have a bagel with cream cheese, cucumbers, and tomatoes.”
Dolly shared more about her diet with Parade, emphasizing that she liked to stay on a low-carb diet during the week and then relax on weekends when she spent more time with her husband.
“I try to stay on my low-carb diet during the week, and then when I know I have a day off, I say, ‘Make me a pan of cornbread,’” she joked. However, she was also vocal about her love for potatoes.
She once told the New York Times, “Just give me my potato, any kind of potato, and I’m happy.”

Fans know that Dolly was a mastermind in the kitchen and often whipped up Southern staples like roast pork, green beans, and fried okra. However, she told the New York Times that she also loved Indian, Italian, and Mexican food.
“And if it’s a romantic type of thing, I like a good French restaurant,” she said. “I don’t like pretty food. The way I see it, if the food’s too pretty, it ain’t good.”
She also admitted that she regularly drank red wine, but wouldn’t classify herself as an expert. “I don’t know too much about different kinds [of wine],” she admitted to the Times. “But I know I like the kind that has a little of that dryish feeling at the end.”
On August 25, reps for the singer told PEOPLE magazine that she passed away following a “brief battle with cancer.” The type of cancer was not disclosed at this time.
However, because of her public love of Taco Bell, many fans wondered whether her recent health struggles were linked to the Cyclospora outbreak. On July 17, Taco Bell removed all shredded iceberg lettuce from its U.S. restaurants due to a parasite outbreak. The parasite, called Cyclospora, causes explosive diarrhea, fatigue, and stomach cramps.
In a statement on its website, Taco Bell said that it removed affected Taylor Farms lettuce from its restaurants, adding, “Based on ongoing conversations with public health officials, and out of an abundance of caution, Taco Bell worked swiftly to voluntarily remove the product from restaurants, and the affected ingredient has been removed from our supply chain nationwide. We took this action to ensure our guests can enjoy their Taco Bell favorites safely.”
At this time, there is nothing to suggest that the country legend’s death was linked to her love of Taco Bell.
Meghan McCain and Megyn Kelly are raising questions and concerns about North West appearing on the cover of Dazed magazine at just 13 years old.
“This poor baby. My heart just breaks for this child,” McCain, 41, wrote in a since-deleted X post on Tuesday, August 25.
McCain later clarified her remarks about Kim Kardashian and ex-husband Kanye West’s eldest child gracing the cover of the British publication at such a young age.
“I was not mocking,” the former View cohost tweeted on Tuesday. “I feel terrible for her and believe that kind of magazine cover is no place for a child. Don’t twist it.”
Kelly, 55, took a similar stance after seeing North with bright turquoise hair, multiple facial piercings and teal-colored grills covering her teeth while modeling for Dazed.
“Does North West have good parents?” Kelly questioned during Tuesday’s episode of her “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, calling out Kardashian, 45, and West, 49. “Because she is on the cover of this British quarterly magazine right now with false teeth — like, a grill situation — blue hair, all these facial piercings.”

The journalist held up the cover in disbelief, saying, “Look at this. She is almost exactly the same age as my [son] Thatcher, who was born in July in 2013. [North] was born June of 2013.”
Kelly explained, “I know this age very, very well. He is a sweet little boy. This girl — I mean, would you look at this?”
She continued, “My son is riding his bike, playing tennis and playing something called bucket golf with his buddies in the backyard. This is bizarre. This is a strange choice.”
The political commentator pointed out that North had recently released an album and had already been performing at concerts.
“They are rushing to try to make her a star without, it doesn’t appear, any reflection, especially by the Kardashians, of the significant downside of putting your child on camera for her childhood,” Kelly further claimed of North’s parents.
Kelly’s podcast guest, Dr. Drew Pinsky, concurred, “It makes you worry.”
Us has reached to Kardashian and West’s reps for comment.

North is the eldest of Kardashian and West’s four children. The exes, who divorced in 2022, also share sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, and daughter Chicago, 8.
As the oldest of the kids, North has had all eyes on her as she’s grown up in the spotlight.
In addition to following in her dad’s footsteps with music — she released her first EP, N0rth4Evr, in May and played at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2026 music festival the following month — she has captivated audiences with her unique style.
While Kardashian has been a style star for years, she admitted in October 2025 that North beats to her own drum.
“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.’ You know, it makes her so happy,” the Skims cofounder said on an episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “I would never take that creativity away from her … I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can.”
When it comes to her Dazed cover, Kardashian showed support for her daughter by reposting the images on her Instagram page. “Northie for @dazed 🩵,” she captioned the upload.
A Florida family’s ordinary trip to a family dinner turned into an unimaginable tragedy, leaving one father mourning the loss of his wife and their young daughter. Kameron Glasgow is now speaking out after lightning struck his wife and 2-year-old daughter during a storm in Margate, Florida, on Sunday.
Kameron Glasgow said the family noticed the rain picking up after arriving at his aunt’s home and decided to quickly get the girls inside. As Kenya Glasgow, 31, and their 2-year-old twin daughter, Kennedi, ran from the car toward the front door, lightning struck them. Their other twin daughter, Kensli, remained inside the vehicle at the time. Kenya and Kennedi were rushed to separate hospitals but sadly died shortly afterward.
Neighbors described the heartbreaking scene after the strike. Prince Moody told CBS News Miami that his son alerted him that someone appeared to have been hit. As a result, Moody ran outside to help. He said he then saw Kenya on the ground with Kennedi lying nearby. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. near Northwest First Street. And both victims were transported for emergency medical treatment.
Kameron later shared his grief in a Facebook post, calling Kenya his “best friend” and saying their daughter had also lost her best friend. He encouraged those who knew his wife and daughter to cherish the light they brought into their lives, writing:
“I just lost my best friend. My daughter just lost her best friend,” he wrote. “…I’m hurt; we are hurt, but if you’ve gotten the chance to feel that beautiful light my wife and daughter brought into your life, cherish it … Kenya, Kennedi, I Love You Both So Much. I Thank You Both For Choosing Me As Your Husband And Father.”

Tennis superstar sisters Serena Williams and Venus Williams are teaming up once again!
The Williams sisters were slated to play at Wimbledon in June. However, they had to withdraw from the competition after Serena sustained a knee injury.
They then reunited at the Cincinnati Open, but their journey was cut short following their match loss. Now, online onlookers have renewed hope for a star-studded Williams reunion as they stage a surprise comeback.

On Wednesday, US Open tournament organizers announced that the Williams sisters would play the women’s doubles at the 2026 US Open.
A statement from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) read, “Serena and Venus Williams will receive a wild card entry into the 2026 US Open Women’s Doubles Championship, as the USTA announced US Open women’s and men’s doubles wild cards today,” per PEOPLE Magazine.
Serena and Venus have won two women’s doubles titles at the US Open, once in 1999 and again in 2009. They have won 12 other times at the three other Grand Slams.
This comes as good news to supporters who had eagerly anticipated the sisters’ return at Wimbledon earlier this year, and later again at the Cincinnati Open.
The siblings had their much-talked-about return at the Cincinnati Open last week, but it ended in disappointment.
According to The Blast, the dynamic duo lost to Marta Kostyuk and Peyton Stearns, 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (8). Serena and Venus lost the first round against Kostyuk and Stearns, but fought back for a second-round win, forcing the match to a third-set tiebreak.
The two sisters fought hard to bring a six-point lead to a one-point deficit. However, the match was lost as Venus double-faulted on the final point.
The tennis superstars were unfazed by the loss, but rather grateful for the opportunity to return to the field together. Venus shared that they had waited a long time for the return and they would eventually find their way back to each other.
“We give each other so much grace and encouragement. This is our first time playing together in forever, and I think we’re really getting [into] our stride,” she declared.

As fans anticipate seeing the sisters, Serena has already made her US Open debut surrounded by familial love shared.
On Tuesday, Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, shared a photo of himself with their daughters, Alexis Olympia and Adira River Ohanian, at her Mixed Doubles match.
In the photo, Alexis was seen with his arm around Olympia, while she carried Adira in her arms. They watched Serena play alongside pro Carlos Alcaraz. “Always cheering for mama @serenawilliams (and @carlitosalcarazz !!),” the caption read.

The tennis superstar seems to have support both at home and from her fans, as they were excited to see her make a court comeback in preparation for the US Open.
After the 44-year-old took a step back from Wimbledon with sister Venus following her knee injury, supporters feared that it was retirement for the tennis legend.
However, Serena reminded fans why she was at the top of the sport by making a court comeback, as shared on her Instagram story. The athlete was seen in athletic wear, casually hitting a tennis ball back and forth as she prepared for the Grand Slam tournament, per The Blast.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion took a hiatus in 2022, which was why it was such a surprise when she announced her bounce-back four years later.
Earlier in June, the athlete revealed the reason why. As reported by The Blast, Serena credited her daughter, Olympia, as her main motivation.
“Well, I think it’s going to be fun. My daughter Olympia told me that I should play with Venus. She’s always right,” the athlete shared. “She’s very serious, she’s very smart. She’s very wise.”
She also attributed her decision to her sister Venus and alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, sharing that watching them accomplish amazing things in their respective fields was a huge motivation.
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s romance has captivated fans for years, beginning with their whirlwind courtship.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum, who is the fourth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, found her now-husband through her father, making their road to marriage somewhat seamless.
The duo’s courtship began in 2013, after Dillard had become close with Jim Bob during his two-year mission to Nepal. “Being that we had similar life goals, she caught my attention,” Dillard wrote via the couple’s wedding website in 2014, noting he spoke with her on the phone once before she came to visit him in Nepal alongside her dad.
“The more I spent time with him and observed his integrity, sweet spirit and love for God and service to others, the more I fell in love with him,” Jill recalled.
Dillard proposed in March 2014 after he returned to the U.S. They tied the knot three months later.
The couple have since welcomed three sons, Israel, Samuel and Frederick, but they’ve experienced some difficulties in expanding their family. In April 2024, they announced the loss of their “beautiful baby girl,” Isla, who was stillborn.
Scroll down to relive Jill and Dillard’s relationship through the years:
The film industry and fans alike received a massive punch to the gut with the news of Tim Curry‘s passing at the age of 80. Curry has such a massive and outstanding filmography, picking a favorite performance of his is comparable to going to a restaurant that exclusively serves all your favorite foods (weird business model) and asking what you want to eat. While his breakout performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show is his most iconic role and one that many rush to when speaking to his greatness (and for good reason), he had no shortage of fantastic performances to boast of, including Darkness in Legend, and Pennywise in the IT miniseries.
The real ones will also remember him for playing scene-stealing characters like Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island, Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys, Maestro Forte in Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, the voice of Lemony Snicket in the video game A Series of Unfortunate Events—there’s literally too many to mention, and we’re dealing with a maximum word count here! The most important thing to remember is that while people bemoan Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Curry’s turn as Mr. Hector has always been and will always be the reason we watch it every year.
However, while speaking with authority on his greatest film performance is an arduous task—Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers!—the one that always comes to mind is his funniest and possibly most physically demanding role: Wadsworth in Clue. Not only is this one of Curry’s most acclaimed roles and a great comedic performance; it’s also one of his few widely-recognized roles where he isn’t a villain or an antagonistic obstacle, regardless of what one of the alternate endings would have you believe. Miss Scarlett (Lesley Ann Warren) did it and everyone knows it.
Clue follows a group of strangers who…am I kidding, you know what the movie is about. Based on the popular board game by Hasbro, the whodunnit features a flawless ensemble cast, which includes Christopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn, Colleen Camp, Michael McKean, Eileen Brennan, and Martin Mull as the famous suspects trying to figure out who killed Mr. Boddy (Lee Ving). While everyone seems like they were born to play their respective characters, Mr. Curry shines brightest as Wadsworth.
Not only does he have the most to do of any character, dialogue-wise, with multiple scenes that revolve around him just divulging information (more on that later); his comedic timing and delivery is what makes the character memorable. It helps that he has a sharp and clever script to work with (penned by the film’s director, Jonathan Lynn), but Curry plays his role with total sincerity, almost as if he doesn’t know he’s being funny, or just doesn’t care, which fits with the film’s His Girl Friday-esque dialogue and sense of humor. Even his facial expressions are hilarious: one especially noteworthy moment comes from the look on his face after clarifying, “I think she meant he threatened, in public, to kill her.“
While this article could easily devolve into a rundown of every funny Tim Curry moment in the film, à la “The Chris Farley Show”—hey, remember that part when he says, “So your work has not changed”—possibly the greatest showcase of Curry’s skills as an actor comes in the film’s the third act. Specifically, during his famous 15-minute-long speech, as he identifies the killer by describing all the events of the entire film. In theory, this climax should grind the film to a complete halt. But instead, it’s an energetic set piece and fits perfectly with the tone of the rest of the movie, all thanks to Curry’s incredible, lively performance. It’s even more impressive when you realize he had to learn three different versions to go along with each of the film’s possible endings. In an interview with Empire in 2023, Curry recalled, “It was exhausting…. Actually, when we finished that sequence, I had to go to the company nurse. My blood pressure was through the roof!”
Tim Curry will go down in film history as one of the most prolific and beloved actors of all time. He continuously gave memorable performances and elevated projects by simply being on the screen. He’s the reason why people still remember Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, and it’s not because they’re video game fans. You could say any performance of his is his best, and still be right. He’s one of the best performers to ever grace the silver screen and brought prestige to the term “character actor.” If you want to watch one of his all-time great performances, but don’t possess a hard copy, like you should, Clue is currently streaming for free on YouTube.

More than two decades ago, what would become one of television’s most celebrated sci-fi sagas was brought to life as a reimagining of a beloved 1970s classic. The project faced several setbacks before reaching television, but when it finally premiered, it proved to be far more than a simple revival, earning a highly positive reception from critics and viewers. That was not very surprising, seeing as it distinguished itself from typical space operas by featuring no alien civilizations. Instead, the series centered its story on a war between humanity and a race of sentient machines created by humans themselves.
That series was Battlestar Galactica, Ronald D. Moore and David Eick‘s acclaimed reimagining of the 1978 ABC series. While the original leaned more heavily into lighthearted space adventure, the reboot transformed the premise into a darker, post-apocalyptic drama that reshaped audiences’ expectations of sci-fi television. The military saga’s enduring popularity is noticeable once again as it has resurfaced on streaming and digital charts. In the U.S., Battlestar Galactica ranks among the most-watched titles on the Apple TV Store‘s TV chart while also currently surging through Universal+ in France.
Developed by Moore with Eick serving as an executive producer, Battlestar Galactica began with a 2-episode miniseries that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on December 8 and 9, 2003. The miniseries’ success led to the regular series, which premiered on October 18, 2004, and ran for four seasons before concluding on March 20, 2009. The franchise also expanded with the standalone television movies Razor and The Plan, as well as the prequel series Caprica.
While Battlestar Galactica continues trending on streaming, the series has also officially returned to Blu-ray. A new 21-disc collection was released in the U.S. on August 11, 2026, bringing together the complete series and the original 2003 miniseries. The collection is unfortunately not a new 4K restoration; rather, it is presented in 1080p high definition with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, English, French, and Spanish subtitles, and the original 1.78:1 aspect ratio.
Boasting a 95% critics score and a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, Battlestar Galactica follows the survivors of a devastating Cylon attack that wipes out most of humanity and destroys the Twelve Colonies. Led by Commander William Adama and President Laura Roslin, the survivors flee aboard a ragtag civilian fleet with the “Battlestar Galactica” as its command ship, in search of the mythical Thirteenth Colony: Earth.
Battlestar Galactica is available on the Apple TV Store. Stick with Collider for more streaming news.

Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, is declaring a legal victory after a judge awarded Blake Lively only a fraction of the nearly $8 million she requested in attorneys’ fees and costs. While Freedman expressed support for the California law used to grant Lively the award, he argued that it was applied in a way lawmakers never intended. The attorney also took a pointed shot at Lively, accusing the actress of attempting to use the legal system for her “own personal gain.”

Freedman addressed the ruling in a statement to TMZ, describing California Civil Code Section 47.1 as “not a perfect law, but it is an important one designed to protect real survivors, who deserve to see this law tested and perfected in the court of law.”
The law allows a prevailing defendant in certain defamation cases involving reports of sexual assault, harassment or discrimination to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs. Although Freedman said he fundamentally supports the law’s intended purpose, he questioned how it was used in the dispute involving Lively and Baldoni.
“Notwithstanding the fact that the law was applied in ways it was never intended for, my clients intentionally left Section 47.1 to be ruled on without any appellate rights to appeal as part of the settlement agreement, to prevent either party from overturning the law,” Freedman said.
His statement indicates that Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties will not appeal the ruling involving Section 47.1.

U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman awarded Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys’ fees and an additional $44,206.35 in costs, bringing the total to $407,451.75. The award was substantially less than the amount requested by the “It Ends With Us” actress.
Lively said she incurred $7,495,526.87 in attorneys’ fees while defending herself against Baldoni’s lawsuit, along with $539,514.01 in costs and expenses. Her combined request totaled more than $8 million.
According to the Associated Press, the judge determined that Lively could recover reasonable costs associated with successfully defending herself against Baldoni’s defamation claim. However, the court rejected the majority of her request after finding that the number of hours submitted for reimbursement was unreasonable.
The ruling also reportedly excluded work that was not directly connected to defending the defamation claim, including time spent on media relations.

Freedman argued that the dramatic reduction vindicated Baldoni and the other parties ordered to pay the award. According to the attorney, the ruling speaks for itself because the judge rejected approximately 95% of the amount Lively sought.
Freedman said the decision showed that the court considered her demand for more than $8 million “outrageous and unreasonable.” He then issued a sharp message directed at the actress. “The ruling is a significant victory for my clients and sends a clear message that, no matter how powerful you may be, the courtroom is not a place to take advantage of the law for your own personal gain,” Freedman said.
However, the court still recognized Lively as the prevailing party for the purpose of recovering reasonable fees under Section 47.1.

Lively’s attorneys, Esra Hudson and Michael Gottlieb, presented a very different interpretation of the decision. “Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties lost their meritless retaliatory $400 million lawsuit, which two different courts held was designed to stifle public criticism and silence Blake Lively and others,” they told TMZ.
“This first-ever award of fees and costs under this California law is historic, and demonstrates that there are real consequences of bringing retaliatory lawsuits,” they added. “As we have said from day one, Blake Lively’s case was never about money, it was about accountability.”
The attorneys also connected Lively’s case to recent developments involving Rebel Wilson and Amanda Ghost. “She lifted the curtain for other victims, and set the precedent for others to come forward and expose similar conduct. This result demonstrates that the legal system is not as easily manipulated as social media, and still functions as a force for accountability,” they said.
Lively’s attorneys focused on the fact that she received any award under the law, while Baldoni’s team emphasized how substantially the court reduced her requested amount.

The fee dispute followed the dismissal of Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds, publicist Leslie Sloane and The New York Times. Judge Liman dismissed Baldoni’s defamation claims in June 2025. The court determined that Lively’s allegations were included in a civil rights complaint and were protected from liability.
Baldoni had accused The New York Times of selectively using text messages and emails to portray him negatively while reporting on Lively’s allegations. The judge found that the newspaper’s reporting closely followed the contents of Lively’s complaint.
“The Times reviewed the available evidence and reported, perhaps in a dramatized manner, what it believed to have happened. The Times had no obvious motive to favor Lively’s version of events,” the ruling stated.
Baldoni also accused Reynolds of falsely calling him a “sexual predator.” However, the court found that the remark was consistent with the allegations Lively had made and that Reynolds had no reason to believe they were false.

After Baldoni’s lawsuit was dismissed, Lively’s attorneys celebrated the outcome as a vindication for everyone named in the case. “Today’s opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times,” Hudson and Gottlieb said, calling the $400 million lawsuit “a sham.”
The New York Times also welcomed the dismissal, expressing how “grateful” they are to the court for seeing the lawsuit against The New York Times “for what it was: a meritless attempt to stifle honest reporting.”
They added, “We will continue to stand up in court for our journalism and for our journalists when their work comes under attack.”
Dancing With the Stars has attracted some of the biggest names in show business and beyond — but some celebrities wouldn’t consider stepping foot into the ballroom.
In a November 2025 interview for InStyle alongside his brother Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas admitted to being a fan of the reality series — but added that he has no plans to join its cast, despite repeat inquiries.
During a September 2025 episode of the “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast, Brandi Cyrus revealed that mom Tish Cyrus is “terrified” of lacing up her dancing shoes due to the live nature of the ABC show.
“I think she’d be so good on Dancing [With the Stars]. And she’s like, ‘It’s live. I can’t.’ But I feel like you could,” Brandi said, while Tish added, “I could never. Not live.”
While Tish isn’t racing to compete on the show, former husband Billy Ray Cyrus tried his hand on the dance floor during season 4 in 2007. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and pro dancer Karina Smirnoff ultimately placed in fifth. (Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage.)

The Bravo personality claimed to Variety in August 2026 that he once turned down an offer for DWTS “many, many, many years ago.”
“I can’t dance on TV. No one wants to see that,” he said. “I used to be the greatest freeform dancer, and I feel like every time I go to Dead shows, people film me dancing, and then I get made fun of on TikTok. Let me dance in peace.”

Kylie Kelce has no interest in competing on DWTS — no matter how badly fans might want her to.
“I don’t want to do anything reality [and] I don’t want to do Dancing With the Stars either,” Kelce said on the “Conversations With Cam” podcast in March 2026. “I say that with my whole chest.”
According to Kylie, her husband, Jason Kelce, would be “great” on a future DWTS season.
“By that, I mean terrible,” she quipped. “He can’t dance. … I would love to see that.”

In an interview alongside his brother Nick Jonas for InStyle on Tuesday, November 18, Kevin Jonas admitted that he’s been asked to join the reality series several times — but he always says no.
“They’ve asked you pretty much every season for the last 20 years I think,” Nick said.
Kevin answered, “For a long time, yeah. I have said no. It’s just not for me. But thank you so much. I’m a huge fan.”
The pop star added that he watches the show and enjoys it.
“I will say, we watch the show,” he continued. “It’s very fun. I feel like it’s really back. Dancing With the Stars is fully back.”

Tish shared on a September 2025 episode of her and Brandi’s “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast that she “could never” do Dancing With the Stars.

When asked if Jenner or former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe might be appearing on the show, cohost Alfonso Ribeiro claimed to E! News that Jenner was “not going to do” Dancing With the Stars. (Bristowe, meanwhile, took home the mirrorball trophy with partner Artem Chigvintsev on season 29 in 2020.)
The former Saved by the Bell star shared that she has turned down Dancing With the Stars more than once through the years. “I’ve been asked a few times,” she told The Huffington Post in 2017, “but my response to that is that I am an actor, not a dancer.”

The Food Network star told Zagat in 2013 that he declined the show, explaining he didn’t want to “be known as that guy on Dancing With the Stars.” E! News reported that Flay quipped his wife “would divorce me if I did it,” referring to ex-wife Stephanie March, whom he split from in 2015.
The Freaky Friday star told E! News in 2011 that she would “never in a million years” appear on Dancing With the Stars — but then shared that she had one condition if she were to compete.
“I’ll tell you how I would do Dancing With the Stars,” she said at the time. “If they gave me a million dollars to give to charity…I would only do it if there was a big charity component. ”
When asked by Extra in 2010 if she would ever consider Dancing With the Stars, Deen replied, “No! Fat girls don’t look good sweating.”
King told Us in 2010 that she had been asked to appear on Dancing With the Stars three times, but turned down each offer.
“I think it’s good to keep my public humiliation to a minimum,” she explained. “I would never want to embarrass my children ever…or myself! I can’t dance.”
