Bold and the Beautiful sees Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) on what could be his deathbed, and this crisis may cause shakeups with couples soon that could affect Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her husband and others.
We’re going to talk about Liam’s health crisis and how it might drastically change the dynamic for him, Finn (Tanner Novlan), Steffy, and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
Liam’s Dramatic Collapse: Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers
So, Liam was just at Dollar Bill’s. And after an argument, if you haven’t seen it, Liam got blurry vision, got dizzy, fell, hit his head on the coffee table, then he woke up, staggered outside. And passed out again. That’s where Steffy found Liam unconscious. She called 911 while screaming that Liam was bleeding from a head wound.
If you haven’t seen Friday and Monday’s episodes, in the ER, Dr. Grace Buckingham said Liam had a brain bleed and that his brain cells might be dying without oxygen. Then Liam flatlined and had to be rushed into emergency surgery.
We know Liam survives. He will not die even though it does look very deathbed. But Brad Bell said Scott Clifton’s character is getting a big storyline and based on recent scenes where Liam’s name has been dropped recently, it looks like it’s going to involve both Steffy and Hope among others.

And we get the idea that at least two couples may break up and new ones may start or make up in the wake of Liam’s tragedy. Recently, Steffy was gushing to her dad Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about what a great dad and a great person that Liam is.
And that was before Steffy found Liam bleeding in a heap outside Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) place and completely lost it because she thought he might die. Plus, Steffy right now is also struggling with the whole Finn, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) thing.
Bold and the Beautiful: Hope’s Life in Shambles
Meanwhile, Hope was just telling her dad Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) that her life has been falling apart ever since she divorced Liam. And I think we’ve all seen that, right? She got fixated on Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). And then she dived into something way too fast with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). And now she’s messed around and has pretty much lost everything.
So I suspect Liam’s health crisis might have Hope and Steffy both kind of sniffing around Liam. Maybe of course, as his baby mamas, it’s natural that Hope and Steffy will both be worried about him. They care about Liam. They share children with him. But there may be more to this. Steffy and Hope may both start seeing Liam differently.
Rebooting the Love Triangle? Steffy, Liam, and Hope Drama on B&B
Bold and the Beautiful might even be rebooting Steffy versus Hope when it comes to Liam, not just their Forester Creations rivalry. If they do that, I do have to say that is not new. And Brad Bell promised that this Liam storyline is going to be something new for the character. I will say B&B sometimes makes promises to fans they don’t fulfill. They release spoilers that are overblown or inaccurate.
So I’m very interested to see if they fulfill this promise and it actually plays out and it is a new thing. But I definitely feel like change is in the wind for some couples. I really hope this is not some extreme excuse to restart the Hope, Liam, Steffy love triangle.
I don’t think anybody wants that, literally nobody. But maybe something interesting and different could come out of it. Liam’s collapse may actually trigger some couple swaps that we thought would never happen on Bold and the Beautiful.
Hope and Finn? Bold and the Beautiful’s Unexpected Twists
For instance, this would be not something most people have on their bingo cards, this Liam twist could give Hope a chance to snag Finn. No doubt Steffy is going to be hanging close to Liam as he recovers from brain surgery, so Hope may think it’s a perfect time to get revenge on Steffy and try and snatch Finn away.
Now, we all know that Hope was rejected by Finn when she made a move on him before. But since then, a lot of things have changed. Steffy is quite upset that Luna is Finn’s daughter. And she does not want his lunatic kid near their family.
Bold and the Beautiful: Finn Sees Luna and Sheila?
But we have seen Finn sitting around and thinking about both Luna and Sheila lately. And if Steffy is sticking close to Liam and isn’t going to leave his side, that might provoke Finn and it might make him realize he’s got some time on his hands. So while Steffy’s tending to brain injured Liam, we actually could see Finn getting some time with Luna and Sheila.
Not anything where he like calls and says, “Hey, let’s get together.” But maybe Finn kind of low-key sets up a run in where he drops into Il Giardino to order pizza and wait on it, knowing he might get the chance to see his mom Sheila or his diabolical daughter Luna.
Bold and the Beautiful: Il Giardino Encounters and Amnesia Plotlines
Plus, remember Hope has been hanging out at Il Giardino. She may actually be living on the property soon. So if Finn drops by, that would put him in Hope’s orbit also. Of course, I expect her to go to the hospital to see Liam. And then Hope may observe how close Steffy is to their ex. And she may think it’s inappropriate. From there, Hope may go back to Finn and tell him that Steffy and Liam are inappropriately close because of this crisis. And he may want to keep an eye on it.
You know, plus, we have no idea what Liam’s frame of mind is going to be when he wakes up. Dr. Buckingham warned Steffy he may have some brain damage. So Liam may wake up with a little bit of amnesia.
He may be totally fixated on Steffy again. In the end, this Liam crisis might see Finn creeping over to spend time with Sheila and Luna while his wife’s busy, which could upset Steffy that Finn went behind her back. But also, if Liam’s fixated on Steffy because of his medical crisis and she entertains that instead of shutting it down, Finn might be equally upset with Steffy.
Reunions and New Beginnings on Bold and the Beautiful
That could open the door to Hope worming her way closer to Finn because I doubt she’s over him and may still have that fixation on Finn in the back of her mind. So yeah, we might be headed towards some couple shakeups. We could get a full on Steffy and Liam reunion. You know, seeing him flatline and Steffy almost losing him might make her realize that the feelings are still there.
Plus, nobody in Liam’s family has tried to kill Steffy. That’s a big plus in his favor. And if Liam’s brain injury knocks the waffling tendencies right out of him, he might finally be a decent partner and loyal husband. Steffy may see some potential there. And with everything going on with Finn and his lunatic family, you know, Liam might seem like a better choice, a safer choice.
Bold and the Beautiful: Taylor Picks Liam
And you can bet Ridge and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) would be thrilled to see Steffy back with Liam, not because they don’t like Finn. But because of the ongoing threat of Luna and Sheila while Finn’s in her life. They already tried to get her to leave him. So Finn also may be getting closer to Hope because she may take the opportunity to encourage Finn to get to know Luna, especially knowing Steffy would hate it.
And Hope may agree with Finn’s theory that had he been in Luna’s life all along, she might not have turned out to be a sociopath. And Finn may appreciate hearing all this from Hope because all he gets from Steffy is ultimatums and hate, which are completely justified. I’m not speaking out against that. She has every reason to dislike Luna. But it’s still got to be hard for a dad to hear.
Bold and the Beautiful: Hope Gets a Second Look?
And if Finn is at Il Giardino to casually run into Sheila and Luna, it’s going to put him spending time with Hope because she’s going to be there to see Deacon as much as possible and also may live there. Watch and see. But there’s a chance this Liam head injury could cause him to reunite with Steffy while she and Finn are falling apart. And then he turns to Hope for sympathy.
If you asked me a couple of months ago, I’d have said there is no chance and Steffy will split and definitely less than a zero chance that Steffy would reunite with Liam or that Finn would give Hope a second look. But this brain injury twist could change everything.
