Tillo said the change appeared to involve greater fullness in different areas of Kidman’s chest while remaining proportionate to her frame. Because of her narrow physique, he explained, even a relatively modest implant could produce a noticeable result.

He also suggested that smaller implants would make more sense for her proportions than a much larger augmentation.

Still, his assessment remains an outside medical opinion based entirely on images rather than confirmation from Kidman or knowledge of her medical history.

‘The Shining’ (1977)

Horror film enthusiasts might have watched Stanley Kubrick‘s take on The Shining, but the novel version is just as suspenseful. Jack Torrance is looking for a fresh start with his family when he accepts a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. But when a massive snowstorm cuts the family off from the outside world, Jack’s son, Danny, begins seeing disturbing visions of the Overlook’s past, while its ghosts slowly take notice of Jack. As the spirits push Jack further away from reality, the place that was supposed to help him rebuild his family begins turning him against them.

Apart from having a popular film adaptation ready as a cross-reference, The Shining is the perfect example of how King demonstrates the relationship between humans and spirits. Traditionally, it is spirits who cause harm and mayhem to humans, but King’s philosophy is that the supernatural has always been a two-way street. While the Overlook Hotel has always been haunted, the scares are amplified by Jack’s inner turmoil as he reels from alcoholism and resentment, which only fuels the power of the spirits. This philosophy also appears throughout other King works, such as Salem’s Lot, ultimately giving horror a human face.

‘The Green Mile’ (1996)

Death row becomes an unexpected place for compassion in The Green Mile. Paul Edgecomb works as a supervisor on the death row of Cold Mountain Penitentiary, where he is accustomed to watching condemned prisoners make their final walk. Everything changes when John Coffey arrives, a physically imposing man sentenced to death for the murder of two young girls. Despite his frightening appearance and conviction, John is gentle, deeply empathetic, and seemingly incapable of hurting anyone. Paul soon discovers that he possesses a mysterious ability to heal others through touch, forcing him to question whether John is truly guilty.

The Green Mile is King’s slice-of-life approach to the brutal world of prison. Prison and death row have long been associated with darkness and grit, but King brings out the humanity in his prisoners despite the central mystery of whether John is actually guilty. It’s tremendously moving as King allows readers to understand who these prisoners were before they entered their cells, showing that, just like us, they were human too, regardless of their convictions. Even the prisoners who committed terrible crimes are given personalities, histories, and relationships, making it harder to see them simply as criminals waiting for execution.

‘The Dead Zone’ (1979)

Johnny Smith gets a second chance at life in The Dead Zone, but it comes at a cost. A car accident puts the high school teacher into a coma for five years, and when he finally wakes up, he realizes his dormant psychic abilities have become significantly stronger. Johnny can now learn things about people simply by touching them, including glimpses of their past and possible futures. He initially tries to use this ability to help others, but when he accidentally sees a vision of a potential apocalypse, Johnny’s powers become much more important than he realizes.

The Dead Zone does the most with what King does best: making ordinary people confront forces they cannot understand or control, then forcing them to decide whether fighting those forces will make things better or worse. Johnny’s psychic ability is straightforward, but King uses it to explore a much bigger question about whether knowing the future gives someone the right to change it. It’s a relatable moral dilemma that newcomers to King’s books can easily connect with. The book keeps pushing Johnny to either accept fate or make decisions that are completely out of his league, only for him to realize that the consequences may not be what he expected them to be.

‘Misery’ (1987)

Parasocial relationships take a psychotic turn in Misery. A snowstorm leaves bestselling novelist Paul Sheldon stranded in the worst possible place: the home of his biggest fan. After crashing his car in Colorado, Paul wakes up badly injured and in the care of Annie Wilkes, a woman who claims to be his “number one fan.” Annie’s no guardian angel, though. Paul is forced to bring his beloved Misery series back to life according to Annie’s increasingly disturbing demands. As she controls his medication and threatens him with violence, Paul must find a way to survive long enough to escape the remote cabin.

Misery is perfect for readers who don’t want to keep track of multiple characters, complicated lore, or several subplots. Nearly the entire novel takes place inside Annie’s home, and with Paul being immobile, he’s literally trapped in a bedroom that doubles as his prison. It’s an incredibly simple setup, but it’s also where King proves his mastery at making ordinary things feel sinister. It’s also a great choice for readers who aren’t interested in supernatural horror and want to explore King’s psychological thriller-influenced work instead, as Misery digs into the depravity of human nature and shows just how dangerous obsession can become when admiration turns into control.

‘Carrie’ (1974)

Hell waits for high school bullies in Carrie. Serving as King’s first published horror novel, Carrie was the author’s first impression on the world, and he made sure to leave a lasting one. The novel follows a painfully shy teenager whose sheltered life has left her completely unequipped to deal with the outside world. Carrie White is raised by a fanatically religious mother who controls nearly every aspect of her life, leaving school as her only real glimpse of a normal teenage life. Unfortunately, her classmates make sure she never feels welcome. As if that’s not enough for a socially isolated teenager to bear, Carrie discovers she can move objects with her mind.

Despite its supernatural theatrics, Carrie remains one of King’s most grounded works because it taps into a theme almost every reader can understand. It’s impossible to relate to having telekinesis, but most people know the horrible feeling of being treated like an outcast simply because they’re different. That pain can sting even more during high school, where peer pressure and mob mentality can make cruelty feel inescapable. This makes Carrie a great choice for anyone looking to get acquainted with King’s penchant for horror while still getting the emotional core that makes his work so effective. Readers may not relate to Carrie herself, but King makes it difficult not to feel something toward her, whether that’s sympathy, discomfort, or even disgust.

Kroy Biermann Jr.’s bond hearing on Friday, September 11, resulted in a shocking claim from Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy about videos involving sexual abuse. As previously reported, the 15-year-old was arrested on August 17 in Alpharetta, Georgia, on multiple sexual assault charges. Also known as KJ Biermann Jr., he is the son of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann.

Recap Of Kroy Biermann Jr.’s 2026 Case

KJ was arrested in August for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female classmate back in April. He was 14 at the time. The assault reportedly occurred in the changing room of the Life Time Fitness Center, according to KCRG. A police officer was dispatched to North Fulton Hospital on April 24 for a sexual assault report.  The report said that the assault allegedly happened on April 23. Kim Zolciak later told TMZ that Biermann denies the allegations, which she said are “reckless.”

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” she said. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

Bond Hearing Reveals Past Sexual Assault Incident With Underage Relative (UPDATE)

During the bond hearing on Friday, DA McGillicuddy revealed that investigators allegedly found videos on KJ’s cell phone of him penetrating a relative, according to Page Six. Furthermore, McGillicuddy said the family member in the videos was reportedly under 12. The incident with Biermann’s underage relative reportedly was reported to authorities back in 2023, according to 11 Alive News. Furthermore, the outlet noted that the teenager has been under court supervision since October 2025 because of the incident.

“This would now mark the second time he has been charged with an offense of a sexual nature of a very serious kind which involves female victims,” said McGillicuddy.

The DA also noted that multiple videos on KJ’s phone also allegedly showed him using “predatory, derogatory” language during the sexual encounters with a minor, per Page Six.
