Chappell Roan’s First Major Appearance After Scandal

Published

Chappell Roan is gradually finding her way back into society!

The singer seems to be finding her voice and vibe again months after a scandal involving an 11-year-old rocked her camp, leading to a ban from a Brazilian authority.

Chappell Roan had at the beginning of the year announced a termination of her professional relationship with a talent agency that connected her to the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The songwriter surprised the audience when she joined Noah Kahan onstage at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 15. The duo teamed up to deliver a sonorous version of Roan’s “California” on the sold-out “The Great Divide” tour.

Before getting into the business of the day, Roan took the time to praise Kahan for constantly supporting her publicly. As coveted by fans, Roan and Kahan greeted each other with a fist bump as she informed the crowd that Kahan has always been in her corner.

Kahan also extended the good words on Roan’s way, informing the crowd that “California” was his introduction to being obsessed with the singer’s catalog and he became an instant fan upon first listen.

As stated by The Daily Mail, Kahan also expressed pride in Roan’s success and showed gratitude that she had agreed to join him onstage before the pair began their performance.

Weeks after the March controversy, Roan made an unexpected stop at the star-studded Coachella festival in Indio, California, although she was not included in the official line-up.

As shared by The Blast, she opted for a subtle look featuring flatter-looking hair with less volume, softer makeup, miles away from her popular theatrical glam.

She put a spin on her subtle fashion, stepping out in a pirate-inspired ensemble featuring dramatic gold-fringed epaulets, and was later seen spending time with Manon while watching Sabrina Carpenter perform.

The outing followed a period of heightened attention surrounding Roan, who has repeatedly been outspoken about the uncomfortable realities that have accompanied her rapid rise to fame since her breakthrough in 2024.

The singer has spoken out against the notion that being a celebrity automatically means fans have unlimited access to her. In a social media video last summer, Roan condemned harassment, stalking and other intrusive behavior, arguing that their prevalence in celebrity culture does not make them acceptable.

She stressed that fame does not erase personal boundaries or create an obligation to give strangers photos, hugs or her time. Roan also made it clear she was willing to be considered selfish if saying no was what it took to protect her personal space.

In March, Roan was involved in a controversy involving former Chelsea soccer player Jorginho and his 11-year-old daughter, Ada, at a São Paulo hotel. As noted by The Blast, his daughter, who was in Brazil at the same time as Roan for Lollapalooza and is a big Roan fan, spotted the singer during breakfast.

He recalled his daughter simply walking past her table to confirm if it was her without approaching or speaking to Roan. Unfortunately, the athlete shared that his daughter’s actions were enough to attract a member of Roan’s security who confronted Ada’s mother, Catherine Harding.

The footballer claimed that the security personnel accused Harding of allowing Ada to disrespect or harass Roan, as he described the reaction as excessive and said Ada was left in tears. Roan acknowledged the importance of respecting celebrities’ boundaries but argued that his daughter had not crossed any.

He described his daughter’s actions as those of an excited young fan before directly criticizing Roan, declaring that artists would lose relevance without their supporters.

Rio de Janeiro’s Mayor Shut Out The Grammy Award Winner From The City Following Jorginho’s Outburst

The former Arsenal player’s account of the event caught the attention of Rio de Janeiro’s mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, who responded to his post on X.

The mayor reassured the footballer and public that as long as he remains in charge of the city, Roan would not be invited to perform at Todo Mundo no Rio, the city-backed megashow series held at Copacabana Beach.

The event has featured iconic singers in the past, including Madonna, Lady Gaga and Shakira, who were booked to headline the festival in May. Cavaliere drew a comparison between Roan and Shakira, insisting that the latter would never treat an 11-year-old like that.

Before the incident, Roan had gotten involved in a confrontation with the paparazzi in Paris after claiming photographers repeatedly ignored her calls to be left alone at dinner. Boy George later weighed in following the controversy, advising Roan to embrace the realities of celebrity rather than resist them.

He admitted that being famous could be frustrating, but that kindness is a better response and that sometimes it was easier to maintain boundaries than to communicate with fans.

Why Chappell Roan Ended Her Partnership With Talent Agency Founder Casey Wasserman

The first quarter of the year was a really ground-breaking one for the singer, and aside from the paparazzi controversies, she also made a huge adjustment in her team.

In February, she announced her departure from Wasserman’s agency on her Instagram Story, explaining that she expects the people and company representing her to operate on the same bandwidth.

Roan insisted that she holds her professional teams to a high standard and believes artists and employees should never be put in a position where they are expected to excuse conduct that clashes with their moral beliefs.

While she expressed appreciation for the agents and employees who have worked hard on behalf of their clients, Roan said she could not simply remain on the sidelines.

She stressed the need for artists to be represented in a manner that honors their beliefs and preserves their safety and dignity. Roan did not explicitly connect her exit to Wasserman’s appearance in the recently released Epstein-related documents.

However, her announcement came amid scrutiny over reportedly flirtatious exchanges between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted accomplice.

One of the Greatest Games Ever Made Is Officially Getting a Full Remake

Published

on

obcexmmrwsrilor77egwswojzm2.jpg

In what’s about to be a mad scramble for video game releases over the next few months, there are arguably no two titles more anticipated than Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI and Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. The former has been a lightning rod for controversy as more information has come out, between all the in-game content locked behind a deluxe edition, the lack of a physical edition, the increased price, and more recently, the Netflix-exclusive preview. However, details on the latter have been surprisingly few so far. The official announcement trailer was shared back in June, but there hasn’t been any gameplay shown, an exact date hasn’t been set, and all Nintendo has confirmed is that it will have “stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.”

All that’s been shown is a brief glimpse at the updated graphics, a brief narration, and a crisp new look for young Link that leans more realistic than the original Nintendo 64 title or its 3DS remake. “Timeless gameplay” suggests Ocarina will play somewhat similarly to its predecessor, yet there’s no confirmation if this is a more ground-up remake with updated dungeon design and combat or if it’s a more one-to-one recreation for modern consoles. Nintendo, for their part, initially described it as a “full remake,” yet they also haven’t revealed which team is developing the game. While it could be in-house, plenty of outside developers have also helped the gaming giant on past Zelda incarnations, like Grezzo, who handled the previous Ocarina of Time remake, Skyward Sword HD team Tantalus, or even Capcom. The only thing we do know for certain is that this remake will officially be the first to be made exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

There will be no Nintendo Switch version of the new Ocarina of Time, meaning players who haven’t yet made the upgrade and want to jump into the refreshed classic will be out of luck. The focus on recreating Link’s adventure in Hyrule solely for the more powerful handheld hybrid does further drive home how different visually this version will be, much like Star Fox earlier this year. The new Legend of Zelda release may be priced similarly, too. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Nintendo, an online retailer had already posted the price for a physical copy at $59.99, which would come in lower than the typical first-party premium point of $69.99.

You carry something heavy — and you carry it alone, even when you don’t have to. You were not born for greatness, and that is precisely why greatness chose you. Your courage is not the roaring, sword-swinging kind; it is quiet, stubborn, and terrifying in its refusal to quit. The Ring weighs on you more than anyone can see, and still you walk toward the fire. That is not weakness. That is the rarest kind of strength there is.

You are, without question, the best of them. Not the most powerful, not the most celebrated — but the most essential. Your loyalty is not a trait; it is a force of nature. You would carry the person you love up the slopes of Mount Doom if it came to that, and we both know you’d do it without being asked. The world needs more people like you, and the world is lucky it has even one.

You were born to lead, and you have spent years running from it. The crown is yours by right, but you know better than anyone that right means nothing without the will and the worthiness to back it up. You are tempered by loss, shaped by long roads, and defined by a code of honour you hold to even when no one is watching. When you finally step forward, the world shifts. Because it was always waiting for you.

You have seen more than you let on, and you say less than you know — which is exactly as it should be. You are a catalyst: you do not fight the battles yourself, you ignite the people who can. Your wisdom comes not from books but from an age of watching what happens when it is ignored. You arrive precisely when you mean to, and your presence alone changes what is possible. A wizard is never late.

Graceful, perceptive, and almost preternaturally calm under pressure — you see things others miss and act before others react. You do not need to make a scene to be remarkable; your presence speaks for itself. You are loyal to those you choose to stand beside, and that choice is not made lightly. You have lived long enough to know that the most beautiful things in this world are also the most fragile, and that is why you fight to protect them.

You are loud, proud, and absolutely formidable — and beneath all of that is one of the most fiercely loyal hearts in Middle-earth. You don’t do anything by half measures. Your friendships are forged like iron, your grudges run as deep as mines, and your courage in battle is the kind that makes legends. You came into this fellowship suspicious of everyone and ended it willing to die for an elf. That is not a small thing. That is everything.

You think in centuries and act in absolutes. Order, dominion, control — not because you are cruel by nature, but because you have decided that the world left to itself always falls apart, and you are the only one with the vision and the will to hold it together. You were not always this. Something was lost, or taken, or betrayed, and the version of you that stands now is the answer to that wound. The tragedy is that you’re not entirely wrong — just entirely too far gone to course-correct.

You are a study in contradiction — pitiable and dangerous, cunning and broken, capable of both cruelty and something that once resembled love. You are defined by loss: of innocence, of self, of the one thing that gave your existence meaning. Two voices war inside you constantly, and the tragedy is that the better one sometimes wins, just not often enough, and never at the right moment. You are a warning, yes — but also a mirror. We are all a little Gollum, given the right ring and enough time.

‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ Will Arrive for the Franchise’s 40th Anniversary

Nintendo has put a lot of plans in motion to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda this year, and Ocarina of Time is just part of it. Photos have circulated indicating that the company will soon announce its first-ever special edition Switch 2 console — a black, gold, and green machine adorned with the Triforce. A similarly themed pro controller sold separately has also appeared online. While those await confirmation, the franchise’s first cinematic effort has been fleshed out considerably. Wes Ball‘s film recently revealed that Young Rock star Uli Latukefu would be embodying the evil wizard Ganondorf opposite Benjamin Evan Ainsworth‘s Link and Bo Bragason‘s Zelda, with the late Sam Neill also set to make his final on-screen appearance in an undisclosed role alongside Yvonne Stahovski and Dichen Lachman. Sony will bring Hyrule to theaters on April 30, 2027.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake arrives sometime later this year on Nintendo Switch 2. Stay tuned here at Collider for further updates as we learn more.

Rosie O’Donnell Sheds Light on Relationship With Jimmy Kimmel

Published

on

Rosie O'Donnell

Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell is set to guest-host ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for the week of August 17. Now, ahead of her first episode and following the successful run of her one-woman show, “Common Knowledge,” she’s opening up about why she was surprised to be offered the gig and her complicated past with Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel announced that O’Donnell and several other celebrities would guest host his long-running late-night talk show in June 2026. Now, just hours before her first episode behind the desk, the TV legend is opening up about the real-life dynamics that made it surprising that she’d be asked to host.

She told Variety, “We’ve never spoken on the phone; we’ve texted a few times. Howard Stern tried to make amends with us, so we’ve been at the same parties a few times, and I would talk to his wife. But Jimmy was never a fan of mine, and it was kind of an adversarial relationship — not that I was fighting back, but I was like, ‘OK, one of the bro guys.’”

However, their relationship changed after his beloved uncle, Frank Potenza, passed away, and she reached out to the host. O’Donnell recalled, “When everything happened with his uncle dying, I wrote him, and he wrote back. So, when my publicist called and said, ‘Do you want to guest-host ‘Kimmel’ for a week?’ I said, ‘I haven’t ever even been a guest!’”

She added, “And then I said, ‘If you’re positive that that’s an actual offer and he wants me to do it, then I most certainly will.’ I was surprised, to tell you the truth, and very thankful.”

Rosie Wishes Stephen Colbert Had Been Supported Like Kimmel

O’Donnell continued her Variety interview by highlighting what she feels Kimmel has done for free speech amid Donald Trump‘s second term as president and the tenure of Federal Communications Commission head Brendan Carr.

She said, “I support [Kimmel] in what he’s doing with the First Amendment, and our ability as entertainers and citizens to speak out against our government that’s enshrined in the Founding Fathers’ writings about our government, so I think he’s fantastic.”

From there, she brought up Stephen Colbert, whose late-night show ended in May of this year. According to the Former cohost of “The View,” “And I wish that Stephen Colbert had the same kind of support when it happened to him, because he shouldn’t be gone either.”

Regarding CBS, the former home of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” now owned by David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance, O’Donnell also spoke about the planned acquisition of Warner Bros. The actress stated, “It would be like Fox taking over all news channels. Imagine if Fox was not one outlier and Fox was the mainstay? That’s what’s happening with Hollywood now, and the Ellisons, and it’s tragic.”

She continued, “Look at what’s happened to CBS News and ‘60 Minutes,’ which was the gold star of their entire network, and they blew it up.”

The first guest host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this year was comedian Tiffany Haddish. Notably, the “Girls Trip” alum also hosted the show in 2025 during his summer vacation. After that, other hosts include Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, and more. Now, O’Donnell is the fifth person, with her dates going from August 17 to August 20.

Following her, Jelly Roll will serve as the final guest host for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Kimmel will then return for brand-new episodes beginning September 8, following Labor Day weekend.

O’Donnell began a limited Off-Broadway engagement of her one-woman show, “Common Knowledge,” on July 22 at the Daryl Roth Theater. This came after sold-out runs of the show in Ireland, Scotland, and Australia. It then concluded on August 8.

O’Donnell discussed the show with Broadway Direct, stating that she changed elements of it to fit American audiences. She shared, “It’s very much a love letter to Ireland, so there were many references to Irish things that I didn’t think America would get. So I took out some of the Irish stuff, took out a chunk of (the material about) Scotland. And I put in some more stuff about my children.”

“The Rosie O’Donnell Show” ran from 1996 until 2002, and the beloved host later served two stints on ABC’s “The View. Recently, while appearing on the “Tangle” podcast, she revealed that her representation is in early talks for a new talk show.

In discussing what the potential series could be, she stated, “It would look a lot like my old show, to tell you the truth. I think America wants nostalgia. I think what they don’t want is celebrity culture. I think celebrity culture is dead in America.”

Regarding the shift in celebrity culture, O’Donnell explained, “There was a time where, if you could get a big star on your show, the numbers went through the roof. Well, that was before the internet — really, it was before you could literally write a DM to me and I’ll respond.”

She went on, “But I think the time for celebrity culture has died down. We’ve been in the land of gross excess in this country or a long time, and I’d like to do mostly human interest stories, tell good news, have fun and games with people like we used to, get to have Broadway on — and if a celebrity wants to come on and chat, that’s fantastic, but it wouldn’t be because they had a movie to promote.”

Harrison Ford Officially Returns as Indiana Jones in New Project

Published

on

01450589_poster_w780.jpg

Harrison Ford might have insisted that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was his final outing as the world’s most famous archaeologist, but apparently nobody told Indy. After five movies, time travel, melting faces, a future Oscar-winning child star and a big room with lots of boxes, it was fair to say Ford might want to hang the fedora up. Alas, no, because Disney has found a pretty novel way to ensure that Ford remains part of the character’s future.

The iconic actor is officially returning to his most famous role for Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, a new attraction which is currently being built at Walt Disney World in Florida, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Ford announced the news at D23 to rapturous cheers from the baying Disney mob, revealing that he had lent his likeness to the models that would be used in the ride.

“Hello, D23. Thanks for coming along on all of Indy’s adventures. Soon it’ll be time for his next ride, and I’m pleased to share that, for the first time ever, I’m the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic — fear of snakes included. I’m excited for you to see his next epic adventure, and I’m coming to Walt Disney World soon.”

It’s a fitting way of permanently connecting Ford to a character he first played 45 years ago. Rather than introducing a generic version of Indiana Jones for the new attraction, Disney is effectively preserving Ford’s incarnation of the archaeologist inside one of its theme parks.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

What Is ‘Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent’?

Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the park’s major transformation, giving Indiana Jones his own adventure built specifically for Walt Disney World. Ford’s likeness will now be incorporated into the attraction through an Audio-Animatronic based directly on the actor. The ride is based on the current track layout of Dinosaur, a prehistoric time-travel adventure dark ride that’s been retired now.

The announcement also means that Dial of Destiny wasn’t quite Ford’s final involvement with Indiana Jones after all. The actor first donned the fedora for Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 before returning for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. James Mangold then succeeded Spielberg as director for 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which gave Ford’s version of the character an emotional farewell. Until now.

Stay tuned at Collider for more.

‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ Director Officially Returns With First Sci-Fi Paranoia Trailer [Exclusive]

Published

on

gdxyslpocaa2lmgqq6md6zvgvlq.jpg

If you could have everything you’ve ever wanted, would you take it? That’s what Steve Pink‘s new comedy asks its audience. Terrestrial gives a young aspiring writer the opportunity of a lifetime, but what happens when an alien threatens the very fabric of the friendships he’s there to protect? Pink, who directed iconic comedies like Hot Tub Time Machine, brings together an all-star cast of Jermain Fowler, James Morosini, Pauline Chalamet, Edy Modica, Rob Yang, and Ted Lasso star Brendan Hunt. Today, Collider is delighted to bring you an exclusive look at the first trailer for the upcoming film!

Written by Samuel Johnson and Connor Diedrich, the comedy is a unique take on all things alien as well as how far you’re willing to go to make your dreams come true. Terrestrial is described as follows: “A long-overdue reunion weekend spirals out of control for four college friends. The host, an aspiring science fiction writer on the verge of sudden success, fights to maintain his sense of reality — a struggle which becomes increasingly difficult in the face of otherworldly dangers.”

The trailer shows Alan (Fowler), a young writer who just got his first book deal, which may lead to a movie deal, in his brand new huge house. When one of his friends questions how all of this can be coming true for Alan, the trailer takes a more comedic/darker turn, showing that maybe Alan didn’t really do all of this on his own.

Arrakis · Dune

Paul Atreides

You carry a weight most people would crumble under — the knowledge of what you’re capable of, and the burden of what you might have to become.

  • You see further ahead than others and you plan accordingly, even when the vision frightens you.
  • You are driven by loyalty to your people and a sense of destiny you didn’t ask for but can’t escape.
  • Paul Atreides is not simply a hero — he is someone who understands the cost of power and chooses to bear it anyway.
  • That gravity, that willingness to carry what others won’t, is exactly you.

USS Enterprise · Star Trek

Captain Kirk

You lead with instinct, warmth, and an absolute refusal to accept a no-win scenario — because you’ve always believed there’s a third option nobody else has thought of yet.

  • You take the mission seriously without ever taking yourself too seriously.
  • Your crew would follow you anywhere, not because you demand it, but because you’ve earned it.
  • Kirk’s genius isn’t tactical — it’s human. He reads people, bends rules with purpose, and wills outcomes into existence through sheer conviction.
  • That combination of warmth, audacity, and relentless optimism is unmistakably yours.

The Rebellion · Star Wars

Princess Leia

You are the kind of person who holds the line when everyone else is losing faith — not because you’re fearless, but because giving up simply isn’t something you’re capable of.

  • You lead through conviction. Your voice carries because your belief is unshakeable.
  • You gave up everything ordinary the moment you chose the cause, and you’ve never looked back.
  • Leia is not a supporting character in her own story — she is the moral centre of the entire rebellion.
  • That same fierce, principled, unbreakable core is what defines you.

The Nostromo · Alien

Ellen Ripley

You are not reckless, not grandiose, and not particularly interested in being anyone’s hero — you just refuse to stop when it matters.

  • You see threats clearly, you document the truth even when no one listens, and when the time comes you handle it yourself.
  • Ripley’s heroism is earned, not performed. She doesn’t have a speech — she has a flamethrower and a plan.
  • You share her composure under the worst possible pressure, and her refusal to pretend the monster isn’t there.
  • When it counts, you don’t flinch. That’s everything.

The Wasteland · Mad Max

Max Rockatansky

You have been through fire that would break most people — and what came out the other side is something the world underestimates at its peril.

  • You don’t ask for help, don’t need validation, and don’t wait for anyone to tell you the rules no longer apply.
  • Your loyalty, when it finally arrives, is absolute — but it’s earned in silence and tested in action, not in words.
  • Max is not a nihilist. He is someone who lost everything and found, against his will, that he still has something worth protecting.
  • That bruised, stubborn, ultimately human core is exactly yours.

A New Kind of Indie Film Vehicle

As part of the film’s release, Aero Films is launching with the film’s theatrical release. Ryan Pallas, founder of Aero Films, spoke about the exciting part of using Terrestrial as the company’s first theatrical release. “Our goal with Aero Films is to curate bold, distinctive films from filmmakers with unique perspectives and to connect them with audiences through innovative marketing and distribution,” he told Collider. “I am thrilled to be launching with Terrestrial as our first film. Steve and the filmmaking team have created an incredible mashup of comedy, suspense, and science fiction that’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. I can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”

In the same release, Pink spoke about Terrestrial getting a theatrical run. “I’m thrilled Terrestrial is escaping into the world,” said Pink. “We made a movie about friendship, paranoia, ambition, and the very unhealthy human instinct to invite your friends into your home and then slowly lose your mind in front of them. Also, it’s funny. Which is either a selling point or a cry for help. Go see it!”

You can see what Aero Films has for us with Terrestrial when it hits theaters on October 16. Stay tuned at Collider for more.

Think oversized sweaters, boxy tees, breezy blouses and relaxed silhouettes that still look intentional when paired with your favorite jeans, shorts or trousers. We rounded up 13 of our favorites from Amazon, Walmart, J.Crew Factory, Athleta and Quince to help you embrace the roomier top trend this season.

13 Flattering, Roomy Tops to Replace Your Baby Tees

1. Our Favorite: If you’re ready to graduate from skin-tight tops but aren’t quite ready for a full-on sweatshirt, this lightweight casual pullover find hits the sweet spot. The relaxed fit, crew neckline and easy-knit fabric make it the kind of throw-on-and-go staple you’ll reach for all season.

6. Best for Travel: Calling all chronic overpackers! This is the kind of top that’s worthy of precious suitcase space. The suede-soft, breathable fabric has a loose fit with room to move or layer, and the low-hip length pairs well with both leggings and jeans.

7. Best Budget Pick: A boxy tee is basically the gateway into the ‘schlubby’ lifestyle, and Walmart’s $6 find makes the trend especially easy to try. Made from 100% cotton, it features an easy, cropped shape with side slits for a little extra movement.

8. Best for a Polished Look: This is proof that roomy doesn’t have to mean sloppy. The slightly cropped, boxy silhouette and V-neck give this $16 organic cotton tee a more elevated feel, so you can pair it with trousers or a skirt when a basic tee won’t cut it.

9. Best Button-Down: Here’s the kind of oversized shirt that makes ‘I just threw this on’ look surprisingly chic. With its relaxed fit, button-front design and classic collar, this pick is an effortless way to embrace the schlubby-top trend without looking like you borrowed your dad’s shirt.

10. Best Slub Tee: If you love the idea of a roomy tee but don’t want it to swallow your frame, Walmart’s option has a generous boxy cut that still feels intentional. The soft cotton-blend fabric and slightly cropped length make it a match for jeans, shorts or flowy skirts.

11. Best for a Quiet-Luxury Vibe: There’s something about a simple, well-cut crewneck that always looks more expensive than it is. Quince’s organic cotton version has the relaxed shape we’re after, turning it into an easy foundation for a polished, minimalist look. (Plus, they come in a three-pack for $36!)

12. Summer-to-Fall: This is the kind of lightweight button-down you’ll wear on repeat when the weather is warm, but you still want a little coverage. The loose silhouette and breathable linen-blend feel make it ideal for throwing over a tank, pairing with shorts or wearing as a beach cover-up.

13. Everyday Essential: For the days when you want to feel like you’re wearing pajamas but still need to look like you got dressed, this swingy tee gets the job done. The relaxed shape gives you that coveted no-cling feel while still looking polished enough for errands, coffee runs and casual plans.

Kate Walsh Moved Back to U.S. After Relocating to Australia

Published

on

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

Kate Walsh revealed she is no longer based in Australia and has now made the move back to the United States.

“Living on the beach for a long time as an extended postcard holiday was probably really good for my health in some ways,” Walsh, 58, quipped while speaking exclusively to Us at the Centrum Inside and Outside Makeover Salon Experience on Thursday, August 13, in New York City. “I was right by the sea and swimming every day.”

The actress has since relocated again, adding, “I’m back in New York now actually. I love the city and I find that it feeds my soul. It feeds me creatively and culturally.”

She continued: “I love walking. In L.A, you’re driving all the time and you live in your car. So there’s outdoor hiking — which is great — but I love being back here in the city and being able to walk.”

Walsh originally made the move from Los Angeles to Australia after travel restrictions in 2020 led to her meeting now-fiancé, Andrew Nixon. She returned to the U.S. to film a variety of projects including new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and more.

Now, Walsh is back in the Big Apple and is focused on finding the balance between her personal and professional lives.

“You hear about people who have a health challenge — whether it’s cancer or brain tumor — where if you’re lucky enough to get through it, then you’re like, ‘OK, I’m going to change everything.’ And I did,’” she told Us while discussing past health scares. “I have a much different relationship to work and life balance than I ever did before. I used to say to people, ‘Well, if you want to hang out, then you’ve got to come work with me.’ Because that’s how I used to just live to work.”

Walsh has enjoyed shifting her focus.

“That was great for a while. But even before, it was like, ‘OK, this is running its course and I want to spend more time with family and friends,’” she noted. “And I love traveling and I love finding ways to be of service. I get to do a lot of great stuff with Oceana and with Planned Parenthood. I get to do things and be with my love, [Andrew Nixon]. I have love in my life.”

Despite making changes in her life, Walsh has still found the time to use her platform to be more outspoken about healthy aging through a partnership with Centrum.

“I really didn’t get into serious supplements until probably my mid-30s, around the time that Centrum Age Defy would be great. Why I like Centrum Silver is it’s great for brain health,” she noted. “It’s great for brain function and heart health and eyes. These are things that as you age and get into your 50s become more prevalent and necessary than say they would when you’re younger. … Centrum vitamins are clinically proven and have been doing this for a very long time. There are so many things out there that this is quite comforting.”

Every Metallica Album Released Since 1991, Ranked

Published

on

01662502_poster_w780-1.jpg

Metallica has released seven original studio albums since 1991, six of which debuted at number one on the Billboard Album chart. The California rockers crossed over to the masses with the 1991 self-titled classic, kicking off a string of hit records. Over the years, the quartet has won nine Grammy Awards, has two LPs in the Grammy Hall of Fame (Master of Puppets and The Black Album) and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.

While the quartet created generationally influential metal in the 80s, they exploded in the 90s, becoming a household name and creating music that seamlessly fits in with today’s classic rock radio programming. The band went through some trying times and musical growing pains in the 2000s, but have bounced back with authority over the years. Excluding the band’s 2011 collaboration with Lou Reed, Lulu, and 1998’s covers project Garage Inc., here is every studio album Metallica has released since 1991, ranked.

7

‘St. Anger’ (2003)

St. Anger is one of the most controversial metal releases of all time. Metallica’s eighth album is a raw and unpolished effort that captures the band during a tumultuous time. Bassist Jason Newstead left the outfit in 2001, and they entered the studio with producer Bob Rock on bass. Frontman James Hetfield entered rehab for alcoholism right after the band began the sessions. When Hetfield returned to the band, he was only allowed to record four hours a day to focus on his recovery, which angered drummer Lars Ulrich. It is all chronicled in the 2004 documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.

The album is a departure for the group with an abrasive texture, raw production and a divisive metallic drum sound. The music is heavy and groove-oriented with zero guitar solos. It’s a brave effort, showing the band was not afraid to take risks, but it fails to stand up to the rest of Metallica’s historic catalog. All that said, “St. Anger” won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2004 and the album has sold over six million copies around the world.

6

‘Reload’ (1997)

Reload consists of songs that were chiefly recorded during the prolific Load sessions. Following the tour behind Load, the outfit went back into the studio to finish the tracks. It’s the last album to feature Jason Newstead on bass and continues the band’s hard rock sound, focusing on slower grooves and straying from its thrash roots.

“Fuel” is the high-octane track inspired by James Hetfield’s love of fast cars. “The Unforgiven II” is the sequel to hit off The Black Album and features many motifs and nods to the original track. “The Memory Remains” features British singer Marianne Faithfull on backing vocals, marking the first time the band collaborated with another vocalist. It peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Overall, Reload pales in comparison to Load. While it has some great tracks, it doesn’t stand up to Metallica’s more recent work.

5

‘Death Magnetic’ (2008)

Death Magnetic was produced by Rick Rubin and is the first Metallica album since …And Justice For All that was not helmed by Bob Rock. The LP is a return to form comprised of longer, more progressive songs with fast thrash riffs, guitar harmonies and long instrumental sections. It was a welcome change following the group’s polarizing 2004 effort St. Anger and is the first Metallica recording to feature bassist Robert Trujillo.

Highlights include “That Was Just Your Life,” “The End of the Line,” “Broken, Beaten, and Scarred,” “The Day That Never Comes,” “Cyanide,” which topped the mainstream rock charts and the Grammy-winning track “My Apocalypse.” “The Unforgiven III” puts a cap on the trilogy of songs introduced on The Black Album and is a departure on the heavy effort featuring keyboards and strings and some motifs used on the 1991 track “The Unforgiven.” The nearly 10-minute instrumental “Suicide & Redemption” features many tempo changes with complex drumming from Lars Ulrich and furious guitar work. Death Magnetic is a full-blown thrash record that is more similar to …And Justice For All and Master of Puppets than any effort they released since the 80s.

4

’72 Seasons’ (2023)

Metallica’s eleventh studio LP, 72 Seasons, was released in 2023, 40 years after its debut Kill ‘Em All. It is the group’s first album since 1988’s …And Justice For All to not debut at number one on the Billboard Album chart, ending a run of six straight number one LPs. The title of the hard-hitting effort refers to the first 18 years of a person’s life, which can be broken up into 72 seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. In the album’s liner notes, Hetfield explains, “The first 18 years of our lives that form our true and false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”

72 Seasons is a progressive and riff-heavy effort that proves Metallica is still relevant. The compelling record is a testament to the band’s longevity. “Lux Æterna,” which was released as the first single, is the shortest song at three-and-a-half minutes, but it’s jam-packed with speedy riffage with unconventional twists and turns. The epic title track, “72 Seasons,” which is just under eight minutes long, won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance at the 2024 ceremony. There’s incredible dual guitar work on the record’s final offering, “Inamorata,” which is Metallica’s longest song at just over 11 minutes.

3

‘Hardwired… to Self-Destruct’ (2016)

Hardwired… to Self-Destruct was released in 2016, eight years after Death Magnetic. It feels like a continuation of their 2008 effort with a progressive feel and an aggressive chip on its shoulder. It is filled with heavy riffs full of attitude and slightly more concise arrangements, while still being very ambitious. The LP marks the quartet’s sixth straight effort to debut at number one on the Billboard Album chart. It’s a bit more lyrically diverse and has a better overall sound than Death Magnetic.

“Hardwired” is a hard-hitting track that is the shortest on the album at just over three minutes. On the other side of the spectrum, the longest track is the eight-minute “Halo on Fire,” a crushing tune with incredible twin guitar harmony lines. “Atlas Rise!” is another stand out with its Iron Maiden-inspired harmony guitar work. “ManUNkind” has a unique verse riff in 3/4 time that switches seamlessly back and forth to 4/4 throughout the song, creating musical tension and release. “Murder One” is a head-banging mid-tempo tribute to Lemmy Kilmister, the frontman from Motörhead, who passed away in 2015. “Moth Into Flame” and “Spit Out The Bone” are two relentless thrash songs that harken back to Metallica’s early days.

2

‘Load’ (1996)

Metallica followed up the most successful heavy metal LP of all time with Load, its longest album at just under 80 minutes. Musically, it features more blues-based riffs with alternative, country and groove-oriented influences. The band was inspired by grunge and alternative music that was peaking at the time, while leaning into southern rock territory on “Ain’t My Bitch,” “Poor Twisted Me,” “Mama Said,” “2 X 4,” “The House That Jack Built,” and “Hero of the Day.”

The effort sounds more hard rock than thrash, with a lot of mid-tempo songs, but does maintain Metallica’s heavy edge and attitude. It was the first album Kirk Hammett recorded rhythm guitar parts, creating a more breathable sound. “Until It Sleeps” was the highly anticipated debut single off the record. The classic peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the band’s highest charting single to date. The hyper-stylistic video, directed by Samual Bayer, won Best Hard Rock Video at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards and showed off the quartet’s new alternative look with short hair, surprising and upsetting some longtime fans. “King Nothing,” “Bleeding Me,” and “The Outlaw Torn” are the most complex tracks and fan favorites that still resonate. Load debuted at number one on the Billboard Album chart, selling over 680-thousand copies in its first week, marking the best sales week of the year and Metallica’s best debut in history.

Metallica’s 1991 self-titled album, widely referred to as The Black Album, is the band’s best-selling album, shifting over 31 million units worldwide. The effort produced five hit singles, including the Grammy-winning “Enter Sandman,” “The Unforgiven,” “Wherever I May Roam,” “Sad But True,” and the first true Metalliballad, “Nothing Else Matters.” The group refined its sound on the record, focusing on slower grooves, succinct arrangements and powerful vocal performances. The album broke down barriers between heavy metal, rock and pop music fans. It crossed over to the masses with substantial radio play and the music videos were on high rotation on MTV.

Metallica toured for over three and a half years in support of the record, playing over 400 concerts in 30 countries, including the group’s first shows in the Soviet Union, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The no-skip classic is the best-selling metal release of all-time. It topped the charts in 10 countries and remained on the Billboard Album chart for over 700 weeks, peaking at number one for four consecutive weeks in August and September 1991. The Black Album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009. The LP had an indelible impact on Gen X and is still very relevant today with the ubiquitous guitar riff from “Enter Sandman” played at every sporting event and on classic rock radio in perpetuity.

⚡ AC/DC

You are pure, undiluted rock energy. You don’t need tricks, trends, or theatrical gimmicks — you have something more powerful: a riff that hits like a thunderbolt and an attitude that never wavers. Like AC/DC, you understand that simplicity executed with absolute conviction is its own form of genius. You’re the person in the room who doesn’t overthink it, doesn’t pretend, and never turns the volume down. The highway to hell is a state of mind — and you’ve been on it since day one.

👅 The Rolling Stones

You’ve got swagger that can’t be taught. Rooted in the blues and soaked in street-level attitude, you move through life with a loose, dangerous elegance that draws people in without ever trying too hard. Like the Stones, you’ve seen it all, done most of it, and somehow look better for it. You’re not chasing perfection — you’re chasing truth, groove, and that electric moment when everything clicks. Can’t always get what you want? You tend to get it anyway.

👑 Queen

You are magnificent, and you know it — not from arrogance, but from an unshakeable sense of self that has never needed anyone’s permission. Like Queen, you defy every category people try to place you in. You blend the epic with the intimate, the operatic with the anthemic, the serious with the playful. You live boldly, love fiercely, and perform every aspect of your life as though the whole world is watching. Because sometimes it is. We are the champions — and so are you.

🎸 The Beatles

You have the rarest of gifts: the ability to make something that feels both deeply personal and universally human. Like The Beatles, you’re a natural connector — someone whose warmth, curiosity, and creative instincts draw people together across every divide. You believe in melody, in craftsmanship, and in the quiet power of a song that says exactly what someone needed to hear. You’ve changed the people around you just by being who you are. All you need is love — and you give it generously.
