EXCLUSIVE: Ennis Esmer has signed with Buchwald for representation.
The actor is best known for his role in CTV’s Children Ruin Everything, for which he earned back-to-back Canadian Screen Awards for Best Supporting Role in a Comedy. He currently recurs in The CW’s Sight Unseen.
Elsewhere on the television side, Esmer also had a standout role in the CBC/Pop TV series Schitt’s Creek, as well as Netflix’s thriller The Madness alongside Colman Domingo, The CW’s The Flash, and NBC’s Blindspot. He also previously starred in Amazon’s Red Oaks, Global’s Private Eyes, The CW’s The LA Complex, and CTV’s The Listener.
His film credits include Netflix’s I Used to Be Funny opposite Rachel Sennott and the the Toronto International Film Festival selection Clara. He has been involved in a slate of independent films, including Nose to Tail, How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town, and the breakout cult hit Young People F—ing.
Beyond acting, Esmer has made a name for himself as a television host, having hosted the Canadian Screen Awards, the Gemini Awards, Roast Battle Canada and Canada’s edition of Wipeout.
