Cynthia Bailey on Her ‘RHOA’ Season 18 Casting
Season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is nearing its end, with part one of the reunion having aired. Now, as fans await news about the next installment of the hit Bravo series, beloved friend of the show Cynthia Bailey is revealing that she will, in fact, be returning. This comes after Andy Cohen squashed rumors about a shakeup for the “RHOA” cast.

Bailey took to the “Humble Brag” podcast, which she hosts with Crystal Kung Minkoff, to discuss “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” during the August 10 episode. They started with Minkoff mentioning Cohen’s comments, where he essentially said, ‘everyone’s back.”
Bailey then said, “I definitely saw him say that this was the cast, and there was a photo I was in, so I am a part of that as well.” Minkoff then stated, “You heard it here, Cynthia’s back, obviously,” with Bailey then laughing, saying, “Andy said it first.”
She went on to discuss the most recent “RHOA” season, stating that she had “the most fun” she’s ever had filming the series.
Cynthia Bailey Does Not Have Plans To Become A Full Housewife

Bailey continued this line of discussion by mentioning that many had asked if she desired to return to her status as a full-time cast member instead of a friend of the show. According to her, “This is my sweet spot.” However, she’s not ruling out a casting upgrade in the future.
The 59-year-old continued, “I’m not saying that I won’t ever because I’m not an idiot. I’m not gonna say that. I may wake up next week and say [change my mind].” Bailey went on, “But I love the space that I’m in now.” After that, she stated that she “invented the friend contract. I invented the friendship contract so I feel like in some way I manifested this space for myself.”
As for why she prefers to be a friend of the show on “RHOA,” Bailey stated that it allows for flexibility in her career, noting that she recently booked a movie role. The Bravo star added, “It works for me.”
The ‘RHOA’ Fan-Favorite Initially Left The Series In 2021
Bailey joined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” during the show’s third season as a full-time housewife. She then appeared on the series for 11 consecutive seasons before announcing her exit in September 2021. Bailey announced the news on Instagram.
She said at the time, “After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Thank you, NBC Universal, Bravo, and Truly Original for over a decade of partnership. I can’t wait to see what we do next!”
Bailey’s statement continued, “Most importantly, THANK YOU to my fans! I could not have done it without your blessings, love, and support. Without the fans, none of this would be possible. I love and appreciate all of you.
It’s time to move on to my next chapter, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you.”
Andy Cohen Says He’s ‘Very Happy’ With The Current ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Cast

As season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” edged closer to its conclusion, rumors began to swirl about the cast moving forward. Notably, many stated that current cast members Shamea Morton and Kelli Ferrell would not be returning and that NeNe Leakes would rejoin the show.
However, in early August 2026, Cohen took to SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” to debunk the reports about season 18 of “RHOA.” He said, “There are a lot of casting rumors online, which came out over the weekend, and I’m gonna tell you that they’re not true.”
Cohen continued, “If you want a preview of next season of Atlanta, look at this cast. This is the group, guys. I mean, we love this group. So spoiler alert, we’re very happy. As you can see from the reunion, I was very happy as the day went on.”
Cynthia Bailey Will Be Featured On The New ‘Ultimate Girls Trip’

Bravo’s new limited series, “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th,” premiered on Bravo on August 9, after being announced at BravoCon 2025. The series features seven primary cast members: Vicki Gunvalson, Kyle Richards, Luann de Lesseps, Teresa Giudice, Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant, and Lisa Barlow.
In addition to the main cast, close to 100 current and former “Housewives” stars are also set to appear, including the likes of Dorit Kemsley, Ashley Darby, Tamra Judge, and Bailey.

OnlyFans’ Courtney Clenney Sentenced for Boyfriend’s Murder
OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney will spend just two more years behind bars after she accepted a plea deal and was sentenced in the 2022 murder of her boyfriend, Christian “Toby” Obumseli.
During a court hearing on Monday, August 10, prosecutors and her attorneys revealed that Clenney, 30, was ultimately charged with manslaughter with a deadly weapon as part of a plea deal.
Prior to accepting the deal, Clenney had been facing second-degree murder charges after she fatally stabbed Obumseli, 27, in their Miami high-rise apartment.
Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson ultimately sentenced Clenney to six years behind bars with time served. Once she is released from prison, Clenney will have to serve five years of probation.
Clenney is expected to be behind bars for about two more years, as she has already served four years after her arrest in 2022. With credits, she could be released in just over a year and a half.
After Clenney’s sentence was revealed, Obumseli’s mother, Chio Obumseli, addressed the courtroom. “There is simply too much pain to put on paper,” she said, according to The Daily Mail. “Four years later there are still nights when I cannot sleep. I do not want Christian to be remembered only for how he died.”
“Christian was my son, everyone who knew Christian can attest that he was kindhearted, compassionate, friendly and respectful,” Chio continued. “Nothing can describe what it feels like for a mother to stand at the grave of her child.”
Chio went on to say that their family has “lived with the loss every day and waited for accountability” for the past four years.
“Today closes a legal chapter, but it certainly doesn’t close our grief. No sentence, no plea can bring back my son to me,” she concluded.
Clenney wiped tears from her eyes with a tissue as Chio gave her victim’s impact statement, per the outlet.
As Us previously reported, Clenney was arrested just days after Christian was killed on April 3, 2022. An autopsy report revealed that he died from a single, three-inch-deep stab wound to the chest that punctured his subclavian artery.
She claimed to have killed him in self-defense, alleging that she threw a knife at him during an altercation.
Before she accepted the plea deal, Clenney’s legal team revealed that they planned to use text messages the defendant exchanged with Christian in order to prove that he was abusive.
Clenney claimed that Christian was abusive at least nine times over the course of their relationship. She also alleged that he punched her in the face and fractured her ribs just months before he died.
Obumseli’s family, however, said that she was the aggressor in their relationship and that he was often subject to abuse.
Prior to the killing, Clenney had a large following on social media. She had over 2 million followers on Instagram, as well as had a popular presence on OnlyFans.

Days of our Lives 2-Week Spoilers Aug 10-21: Leo Makes Ultimate Sacrifice as Theo Issues Warning!
Days of Our Lives 2-Week Spoilers for August 10-21, 2026 pull at the heart with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) making a selfless sacrifice, but it might not pan out how he thinks. We’ll also see Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) threatening a woman when he has lost his patience.
Also, the week of August 10th through the 21st, there’s Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) in labor, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) making a rough decision, and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) demanding answers.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Cat Grills EJ
Monday, August 10th on Days of Our Lives, Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) is questioning EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Now, already Cat knows from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that EJ didn’t kidnap Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). So, this might be about Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford). And I wonder if EJ will admit the truth that Lexie is at the mansion and wants to die away from everybody else.
And EJ tells her that he’s taking care of his sister. That might actually make Cat a little sympathetic. Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) repeats to Stephanie what he said on Friday that he’s going to move into Joy’s room. Alex says he’ll stay at the pub for a while to take care of Kelsey since Alex can’t have her at the apartment right now because Stephanie was banned by Joy from the kid.
So, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) tells Alex, “No, you won’t do that.” And then Stephanie makes a heartbreaking decision. So, she may step away from Alex because of this Joy thing. Not in the manner of Stephanie breaking up with Alex, but she may stay with her parents, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), so Alex can have Kelsey at their apartment.
DOOL Spoilers: Chanel Expresses Herself
Stephanie also talks things over with bestie Jada, at her place. And Chanel offers Alex some perspective. I’m sure Chanel’s got harsh things to say about Joy since Chanel hates Joy and is 1,000% team Stephanie. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is keeping a secret and I wonder if this is referring to keeping it from Chanel that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) tried to have him killed.
That’s a huge secret or it may be about EJ being responsible for Kristen going missing. Lonnie comforts a distraught Theo. He is obviously very upset that Lexie took off without a return ticket and she told Theo, you know, I’ll call you, don’t call me. It’s just a whole lot since she just came back from the dead.
Days of Our Lives: Dimitri’s Obsession and Rafe’s Rescue
Tuesday, August 11th on Days of Our Lives, Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte) is determined to force Leo to be with him. And this week, we’re going to see Leo making Dimitri a tempting and shocking offer. So, Dimitri threatens Leo and Gwen this week and says, “I don’t think anyone will ever find you.”
But then Rafe walks in and says, “Somebody already has.” And Leo and Gwen’s jaws drop. Also, Theo is keeping a secret from his dad, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), about Lexie. So, we’ll see if Lonnie finds out some things and shares them with Theo. You know, the ugly truth that Lexie is dying is out to her family by the end of the week.
By the way, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) listens as Belle Black (Martha Madison) pleads her case. Also, this week, Chad and Belle are smooching at the pub enjoying some romance. And then Chad needs a favor from Cap. So he could ask her if EJ has Lexie because Chad’s helping out Theo this week in the search. Also on Tuesday, a big deal, John Oliver makes his Days of Our Lives debut on Tuesday. We’ll also see him on the Wednesday and Friday episodes. He turns up at Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) office and surprises her.

Days Spoilers: Chanel’s Labor and Family Crisis
Then on Wednesday, August 12th’s episode of Days of Our Lives, Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) have a heartfelt and heartbreaking talk about Kristen. Rachel is crying in her dad’s arms, distraught. Meanwhile, we have Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) deciding to try something drastic to save Titan. Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is also desperate and has a crazy idea. He pitches to Gabi. All three of them have a tense meeting this week.
Arianna Hernandez (Vico Escorcia) and Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) plan a surprise for Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate Black (Leo Howard). And we’re also going to see Aaron and Tate flexing at the gym this week. Then on Thursday, August 13th, Days of Our Lives, Alex needs Steve’s help, and this may be about Stephanie.
Abe and Theo worry about missing Lexie. So maybe Abe got wise and phoned Celeste Perrault (Beverly Todd). So, Abe might have asked about Lexie and found out she is not in South Africa visiting her mom. And that is going to scare him and Theo both.
This week, Paulina feels Chanel’s baby kicking and they spend some time playing with Trey. Paulina and Marlena are leaning on each other this week. They may be worried about Chanel, Johnny, and Lexie. Also, this week, Chanel says she thinks she is in labor. And in the summer promo, we’ve got Kayla checking Chanel out. She’s up at the hospital and Johnny says Chanel’s bleeding. So, Kayla tells Paulina and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) they have to go. Chanel tells Johnny that she’s scared.
Dimitri is not going to stop. He is obsessed with making Leo his man again. So, we’ve got Rafe in Alamania. There’s a deal on the table and Leo’s asking Dimitri if he won’t make a deal with Rafe. Will Dimitri make a deal with him? So, maybe Leo offers to stay in Alamania if he lets Gwen go because Rafe can’t just take her. He’s got no jurisdiction. But Rafe has an offer that Gwen may really like. Of course, he wants to give Gwen immunity if she will testify against EJ.
Days of Our Lives: August 14-21 Spoilers
Then on Friday, August 14th, Days of Our Lives, we’ll see Lonnie there comforting Abe. They’re at The Bistro together. This is clearly before he finds out that EJ’s got Lexie in the basement. At the mansion this week, Theo is threatening Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney). It says, “If you don’t get out of the way, I will make you get out of the way.” She’s obviously trying to keep him out of the tunnels, but Theo and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) find something devastating.
They head into the tunnels and Chad is right behind Theo as the two go into Lexie’s room below the mansion. Theo is shocked and calling out mom. From there, I’m sure he notifies Abe because by the end of the week, he has joined him at Lexie’s deathbed in the DiMera basement.
So, we are also going to see Johnny having a crisis of conscience. And this may be about keeping one of EJ’s many secrets. Something about Kristen. You know, I don’t think it’s a secret about Chanel going into labor. I just hope that Johnny doesn’t have to choose between Chanel and the baby because of the high-risk labor and delivery.
Cat gets some worrisome news and it may be an update from Rafe and Alamania. We’ve got EJ and Rita forced to act fast. So, Friday is when Rita wakes up her boss EJ, crawls onto his bed, and shakes him. And then John Oliver’s character burst into EJ’s bedroom with a briefcase and an agenda. We’ll see if this is about DiMera Pharmaceuticals or some other shady deal.
Then the week of August 17th through the 21st, we’ll see Lexie transported from the DiMera mansion over to the hospital for her final hours under proper medical supervision. Chad confronts Cat very soon, and it may be about Lexie. Chad is ranting at Cat, “You knew about all this and you did nothing.” And Cat’s trying to tell Chad there’s reasons that she hasn’t told him everything.
We also have scenes soon with Theo demanding answers. He wants to know what else that Johnny’s hiding from him. So, this may be about Lexie or Kristen. I’m sure it’s EJ adjacent. Some people are shaken by John Oliver’s visit and the aftermath of this cameo. I hope he does well. I’ll tell you guys, his cameo on General Hospital was extremely well done.
It lasted the same. It was like two or three episodes and it was so good. Leo may convince Dimitri to head back to Salem with him. However, Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez) is desperate to get to Alamania to save Leo from evil Dimitri. And Gus (Michael Ocampo) is being a naysayer and as a result, Javi soon realizes that he still loves Leo and he wants him.
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady swap I love you soon. Chanel gives birth, but it’s very high risk. Theo could turn to Stephanie in his grief. They’ve been supportive friends. We’ll see if it turns into more. Paulina tries to comfort Abe in his grief, but it may take some time to reunite as a couple. And we’ll find out more about Joy’s spinal issue and her prognosis.

Kaiser Sued For Woman’s False Cancer Diagnosis & Hysterectomy
A Georgia woman alleges that she was wrongly diagnosed with cancer and underwent an unneeded hysterectomy. All because of a labeling error. Cassandra Barksdale and her attorneys filed a lawsuit against Kaiser Permanente on Tuesday (August 4). She alleges the mix-up led to the surgery and months of physical and emotional pain and is seeking damages.

According to the lawsuit, another patient’s tissue sample was mistakenly labeled as belonging to Barksdale, who at age 43 then underwent a full hysterectomy on May 15, 2025, and was told she would get instructions about chemotherapy.
It’s unclear how the mix-up occurred. In September, Barksdale was informed that a DNA analysis found the tissue sample showing an aggressive form of endometrial uterine cancer belonged to a different patient and not to her, the lawsuit says.
“She came into Kaiser Permanente looking for answers, and she left with a diagnosis that did not belong to her. And every step that was taken after that was based off of misinformation,” her attorney Shannan Young said.
Barksdale went to Kaiser Permanente Southwood Medical Center in Jonesboro, Georgia, in early 2025 to seek treatment for heavy bleeding and fibroids, which are noncancerous growths in and around the uterus. She underwent a biopsy on March 10, 2025.
Barksdale said that after she got the biopsy results on March 17, 2025, she lived for months believing she had an aggressive type of cancer, sending her and her sons into a deep depression.
“I even started making funeral plans with them to let them know, you know, if I don’t make it out, this is what I want done,” Barksdale said.
Representatives for Kaiser Permanente wrote in a statement that, “Ms. Barksdale should not have experienced this.”
“We have highly trained staff and very thorough processes in place to prevent errors like this from taking place. After this occurred last year, we took immediate steps to ensure it could not happen again. We realize the impact of this incident and are committed to working with Ms. Barksdale and her counsel to resolve this in the most fair and accountable way we can.”
Because of privacy laws, information about the other patient — including what happened to her and whether cancer treatment was delayed — isn’t publicly available.
It is not clear just how often pathology samples are mislabeled or mixed-up during medical testing. An Ohio woman filed a similar lawsuit saying a 2019 error on a biopsy led to a misdiagnosis of lung cancer and unneeded surgery. Researchers studying prostate cancer discovered three cases of biopsy sample misidentification over two years, according to a 2011 research paper.
Labs have turned to a number of best practices to try and prevent errors, including barcode systems for specimen labeling and point-of-care testing.
The Georgia lawsuit asks for unspecified damages.
“There’s no amount of money that’s going to return back to her, her healthy organs, or erase the experiences and the pain that she’s had. But our justice system recognizes that when somebody’s negligence harms another person, accountability requires more than ‘I’m sorry,’” Young said.

Andy Cohen Defends Housewives Having Different Politics
Andy Cohen is weighing in on Bravo showcasing Housewives who have differing political beliefs.
“Why so many MAGA women?? I can’t watch OC anymore because of them,” one Threads user asked Andy, 58, on Sunday, August 9, referring to The Real Housewives of Orange County.
“If we didn’t showcase people with different POV’s there would be no show,” Andy replied. “Also it’s a show about the women and their relationships, not about politics.”
Andy did not identify any of the Housewives he was referring to. While replying to more fan questions on Sunday, he also responded to one user who asked whether there is “there anyone from bravo world who [he thinks] should run for office “or if he thinks “famous people shouldn’t run.”
“So far the track record for reality stars running for office is TERRIBLE,” Andy responded via Threads. “So I’m hesitant to say I think there are some really smart people on Bravo with great communication skills who could be effective in public service though.”
Andy has been a longtime executive producer for Housewives. Earlier this month, he shared that his boyfriend, Kevin Sobieski, has never watched the franchise despite Andy’s involvement.
“[He’s] never seen it,” Andy revealed on the Wednesday, August 5, broadcast of Today, claiming that Kevin, 42, has “not seen one frame” of one of the hit Bravo shows. “His algorithm is feeding him Housewives-related things 1786403394 because our phones listen to everything we say, so he’s starting to get a sense of the universe, but he has no clue.”
For Andy, Kevin’s lack of familiarity with Bravo doesn’t bother him.
“I love it. He loves my kids and me, and that’s what’s important,” Andy said, referring to son Ben, 7, and daughter Lucy, 4. “I’ll get him there.” (Andy welcomed his children via surrogate.)
Andy confirmed his relationship with Kevin in June after meeting the businessman at a party in the Hamptons nearly one year prior.
“I don’t want to be with the wrong person. I value my time too much. I value my life too much. I have great friends and a great life and great kids,” he said on his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy. “My criteria about what I was looking for never changed. It’s always been a feeling for me. I’ve always followed the feeling. I am really happy to say that I met the person.”

Beyond the Gates Weekly Spoilers Aug 10-14: Bill Fights for Life & Dani’s Shocking Reveal!
Beyond the Gates spoilers for August 10-14, 2026 are going to see Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) on his deathbed thanks to toxic little Haley Lawson (Marquita Goings) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) makes a huge slip of the tongue that has all the family giving her side eye.
This is a do not miss week of Beyond the Gates, by the way, because Haley’s plot finally comes to fruition. Poor Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) gets dumped and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) is in danger from his stalker. Let’s dive right into it.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Hayley’s Plans Ruined
Monday, August 10th, is season 2, episode 143 of BTG, and Haley’s travel plans get derailed. So, I’m sure she’s going to get a call maybe from Caroline Lee (Ellie Wang) that Bill is on his way to the hospital. And you know, Haley’s going to be mad that she has been thwarted again.
Caroline rushes to Bill’s rescue. She’s calling 911. He is rushed over to the hospital. You know, Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil) is going to be right on that case. Caroline is going to be terrified. She already didn’t like the travel plans. Dani’s slip of the tongue stuns her family. She’s up at the hospital with all the family.
They’re waiting for news on Bill and horrible little Haley walks in and they get into it and Dani winds up screaming at Haley in the hall of the hospital. She’s got Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) at her back and Dani is yelling, “You will never replace me in Bill’s heart and I will always be here for my husband.” Those two words, my husband. Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Naomi, Jacob, Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla), Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad), Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), all of them look stunned. Jaws drop.
BTG Spoilers: Ashley Jones Joins Cast
I’m interested to see if Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) is going to be there to hear Dani, too, or if somebody else is going to tell Andre what she said. You know that Haley will love to drop that bomb on him. Also, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) winds up bonding with Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones). Vanessa’s doing this for Joey, and up till now, we’ve seen Vanessa being pretty uneasy around Heather, who honestly is a viper in couture and red lipstick.
I love Ashley Jones. She was so good on True Blood. She was really good on The Bold and the Beautiful. She’s been in a ton of stuff. She was a good get and Michelle Val Jean had worked with her over on Bold. So, Joey’s not going to like Vanessa bonding with Heather and Joey may be suspicious thinking Heather is using Vanessa trying to get into his organization.
Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe) and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) adjust to life and love after her transplant. They have not made love since the transplant. So this may be when she powers through and Isaiah makes her feel as beautiful as ever. Chelsea’s in the waiting room at the hospital asking what if Dad doesn’t regain consciousness and Mom doesn’t get a chance to say goodbye to him. She’s talking to someone and it may be Madison.
Beyond the Gates: Bill’s Deathbed Request and Family Secrets
Tuesday, August 11th on Beyond the Gates is season 2, episode 144. Bill has a request of Dani that enrages Haley. Some deathbed request obviously. I mean, Haley doesn’t care if Bill lives or dies, but she’s super jealous that she stole Bill, got the rock, got the mansion, but Dani’s still living rent-free in both Bill and Haley’s heads.
So, I bet Bill’s going to be thrilled when he hears Dani called him her husband. Vernon demands answers from Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). This may be about Heather because she is sliding closer to Dani, and Vernon’s not going to like any Armstrong family member close to his. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) and Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughn) get unsettling news. This could be hearing about Bill or it could be about Noah and him telling them that Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) has been smacking them.
BTG Spoilers: Leslie Lends a Hand
Leslie reaches out to somebody in need. She’s generally unsympathetic and only cares about Eva and herself, but she may weirdly show up for Haley since we’ve seen Leslie offering to plot with her so many times. Chelsea, Cat, Naomi, and Jacob are leaning on each other. And Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) is talking to Cat up at the hospital.
And Ted asks Cat, “How are your cousins holding up?” And she tells her dad, “Ted, it’s not going well.” Cat says, “They’re nervous about their dad.” Then Cat says, “Chelsea is low-key unraveling.” And Naomi is lawyering her anxiety. And then Cat adds, “Don’t even get me started on Aunt Danny.”
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Suspicions and Confrontations
Then on Wednesday, August 12th on Beyond the Gates, it’s season 2, episode 145. Dani is turning to Vanessa for advice. So, Vanessa may be asking Dani, “How do you really feel about Bill and the chance that you might lose him because he may die?” Andre does the same with Ted, looking for advice, maybe about the stalker or what Danny said about Bill, or both.
Cat’s actions put her in Haley’s crosshairs. And I wonder if she’s continuing to ask questions about what happened to Bill. And with Cat listening to all those true crime podcasts, she may suspect Haley of being a black widow looking to bank on Bill’s death. Naomi and Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) lock horns. He already came at Naomi kind of hard the other day. Tomas really needs to watch it.
So, Naomi is up at Bill’s law office and Tomas confronts her. He says, “Bill’s not even gone and you’re here marking your territory.” And Naomi is mad. And she says, “What the hell did you just say to me?” So with Bill out of commission, I could see Naomi swooping in to run things for her father, which would annoy Tomas because he sees himself as the right hand.
Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty Smith (Mike Manning) try to help Tyrell. Jessica dumped him because she wants to be free to date at UCLA. She’s all the way out on the West Coast. Tyrell was warned about this and he was trying to make crazy plans to constantly fly to LA and his dad said not going to happen.
Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson) doles out a reality check to Jessica and it may be about her dumping Tyrell who’s a great guy or Samantha may say just completely do a clean break. You know, don’t hang around. Don’t try to be friends. Let my brother go.

BTG Spoilers: Secrets, Suspects, and Danger
Thursday, August 13th on Beyond the Gates. It’s season 2, episode 146. Andre has a tense visit with Bill. I’m sure it’s up at the hospital still. And I bet by then Andre’s heard what Dani said with the “my husband” thing. And I wonder if Bill’s going to blab the big secret about his and Dani’s elevator encounter. Then again, if Bill thinks he’s really dying, he might tell Andre, “Please take good care of her.”
Joey and Vanessa don’t see eye to eye when it comes to his sister. So, it looks like Heather worked her voodoo on Vanessa, who may push for Joey to let Heather more into his life, which is exactly what Joey doesn’t want, and Heather does. Smitty ponders an interesting opportunity, and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) and Grayson Perez (Jordie Vilasuso) are worrying about a friend in need. Obviously, sounds like Naomi and all her stress about her dad.
August spoilers say that Jacob is going to plan a surprise for Naomi with their help. So, maybe something to take her mind off Bill. Caroline and Haley play each other. Caroline is now on high alert where Haley is concerned. Thinks she’s up to no good. And of course, Haley’s playing coy and innocent. Maybe trying to act like she and Caroline are still friends.
Beyond the Gates: August 14 – Confessions and Danger Ahead
Then on Friday, August 14th, we’re going to wrap up Beyond the Gates with season 2, episode 147. Dani is in the hot seat with Anita, Vernon, and Nicole. I’m sure they are confronting her about calling Bill her husband and want to know what is going on. And this may be the point Dani has to confess to doing the deed in the elevator during the tornado.
Vanessa meets Noah while she’s out with her daughter Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) and he will explain he’s Kyle’s son. Maybe he’ll be a good distraction for her since Deanna has been so obsessed with Joey. Speaking of him, he is going to confront his sister Heather. I’m guessing he wants her out of the DMV ASAP and away from his business and his girlfriend Vanessa.
Chelsea has an update for Cat and it may be on Bill and Haley. One couple reaches a new understanding and it may be Danny and Andre. Plus, Andre is lured to a mysterious rendezvous by his mysterious stalker who may be dangerous. We’ll see.

Lizzo Rocks Purple Bikini to Celebrate ‘Fat Liberation Month’
Lizzo is a baddie in a bikini.
“Happy Fat Liberation Month 💕 calling all my ladies over 200 go outside n POP sumthin🙏🏾,” the singer, 38, captioned her latest Instagram post on Sunday, August 9.
Lizzo showed off her curves in an itty-bitty bikini featuring triangle cups, which she tied tight enough to reveal her underboob. Lizzo styled the halter piece with string bottoms finished with bows on her hips. She further accessorized her sparkly purple set with oversized black sunglasses.
For her pool day, Lizzo embraced her natural glow and wore her strawberry blonde hair down. She let her curls flow in the wind.
Her followers were quick to praise her in the comments section.
“Lizzo said confidence all month long! Love the energy. 🙌✨,” one wrote. A second social media user commented, “Oh my god your body is so tea!!!” Another one of her fans gushed, “Curvalicious!!! Get it Lizzo! 🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
This isn’t the first time Lizzo has slayed in a swimsuit. Last month, she posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in a sexy brown look. Her one-piece featured a plunging neckline that tied in bows over her chest. The look was complete with open sides and a cheeky back.
She made the look even more glamorous with a gold chain bracelet and full beat. Her makeup featured dewy skin, filled-in eyebrows, contorted and blushed cheeks and long lashes. She tied her glam together with lined, glossy lips. Lizzo’s hair was again worn down and styled in neat, voluminous curls.
The chart-topping performer also rocked a black two-piece featuring a low-cut neckline, thin straps and a twist detail in the center of her chest. She paired the top with high-waisted bottoms and a crochet sarong, which she secured in a bow on her hip.
Lizzo rocked smokey back eyeshadow and highlighted cheeks for her bikini moment.

Mother Killed Daughter With Autism in Murder-Suicide Attempt
A mother in Rhode Island was arrested after she allegedly killed her 21-year-old autistic daughter in a suspected murder-suicide attempt.
Anna Maria Angelosanto has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Alexandra Straccia, according to WPRI.
The Cranston Police Department learned of the crime when officers reported to a first-floor apartment in Cranston, Rhode Island, on the morning of July 27. Upon their arrival, officers allegedly found Angelosanto, 62, with seemingly self-inflicted wounds. Meanwhile, Straccia was found dead in a separate bedroom.
Angelosanto was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated, and an investigation was launched into Straccia’s death.
As authorities searched the home, investigators found a handwritten note as well as prescription and over-the-counter medications. Authorities have not revealed the contents of the note.
Straccia had been diagnosed with autism and depended on Angelosanto for “around-the-clock care,” according to police.
While Angelosanto was still in the hospital, detectives interviewed her family members to get a better understanding of the case.
Authorities ultimately concluded that allegedly Angelosanto killed her daughter before she tried to kill herself.
“This is an extraordinarily tragic case that has deeply affected our community and everyone involved in the investigation,” Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist told WPRI. “We extend our deepest condolences to Alexandra’s family and loved ones as they continue to cope with this devastating loss.”
It is not currently clear how Straccia died or what Angelosanto’s current condition is.
Following the tragedy, neighbors were left in shock over the situation.
“It’s a tragedy,” neighbor Frank Oster told WJAR. “The mother will never be the same again in her life.”
Fellow local resident Richard Jennings added, “I can’t believe that happened over there. You know, not with these people. … They were all very friendly people and took care of each other.”
Angelosanto is currently in custody at the Gloria McDonald Women’s Facility and is being held without bond, according to online records viewed by Us.
It’s not currently clear if Angelosanto has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following her arrest. The Cranston Police Department had no updates to share when contacted by Us about the case.

The 6 Worst R-Rated Thriller Movies of the 2020s So Far
It’s relatively surprising that there are still such disastrous mainstream releases in the current decade when considering the pressure that the industry is under. The rise of streaming as an alternative to moviegoing for many audiences, especially young people, has made it so that there needs to be a strong incentive to see something in theaters. This would seemingly give studios the incentive to reserve their highest-quality projects for the big screen, given that the lesser films are often shunted directly to a subscription service or VOD. Nonetheless, there are a few noteworthy disasters in the R-Rated thriller category that show just how willing production companies are to send out a hastily put together product to make a quick buck.
It’s disappointing that films like this still exist given the challenges that face the current marketplace. Many of the best films of a given year almost barely get out of limited release, as they tend to be catered towards the wealthier, privileged moviegoers in New York and Los Angeles. This year even saw the debut of some truly excellent R-Rated thrillers like Carolina Caroline, Crime 101, and Tuner, which sadly didn’t have the box office success that they deserved. When audiences complain that there is nothing to see in theaters besides blockbusters, and that television has been a replacement when it comes to mature stories aimed at adults, it’s these types of films that they see as the issue.

‘Psycho Killer’ (2026)
Psycho Killer feels like a serial killer thriller that was lifted from the ‘90s, which makes sense because it was written by Andrew Kevin Walker, the screenwriter behind Se7en. Se7en was obviously a game changer that kicked off a newfound obsession with unpredictable psychopathic characters, but much of the film’s genius can be credited to David Fincher, who would later prove himself to be the master of the serial killer subgenre with Zodiac, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Mindhunter. Psycho Killer is the laziest and most incompetent version of the same cliched premise imaginable, and seems not to have acknowledged how the genre has evolved in the last 30 years.
The worst thing that a serial killer film can be as boring, as the kills in Psycho Killer are relatively unengaging, the characters have no substance to them, and the conspiracy that is revealed is far more mundane than it was hyped up as being. Not even a ridiculous, over-the-top performance by Malcolm McDowell is enough to salvage this utter mess.

‘The Front Room’ (2024)
The Front Room is perhaps the worst film that has ever been released by A24, as not even the lower-budget, direct-to-VOD genre titles that the distributor put out before it became a mainstream awards contender and box office superstar are quite as unwatchable. The worst thing that has resulted from the era of “prestige” genre films is the obsession with trying to make a point without having the substance to back it up, and The Front Room isn’t even clear what type of genre it is supposed to be; it’s more gross than it is scary, and the dark comedy is more uncomfortable than it is transgressive.
There’s nothing worse than being forced to spend time with obnoxious characters who do not develop, and witnessing The Front Room is an endurance test. While there is the slightest of possibilities that it could have been somewhat successful if the same premise had been used for a short film, it completely collapses in its ambitions to be a feature.

‘The Alto Knights’ (2025)
The Alto Knights is one of the most disappointing films of the decade when considering the caliber of talent involved and the potential of this specific material. Barry Levinson is an Academy Award winning filmmaker who won Best Picture and Best Director for Rain Man, and he has continuously made solid work in the years since; a reunion with Robert De Niro seemed like a great idea, as they had previously made the crime epic Sleepers and the underrated HBO drama The Wizard of Lies together. The Alto Knights is focused on the New York mob bosses Frank Costello and Vito Genovese during the 1950s, but in a baffling decision Levinson decided to cast De Niro as both characters, using makeup to differentiate the two. It’s a ridiculous choice that limits the interactions between characters who are supposed to have a specific bond, and it’s disappointing to see someone of De Niro’s talent doing the type of cheap gimmicks that are usually reserved for Adam Sandler or Johnny Depp.
The Alto Knights doesn’t succeed in being a throwback to classic gangster films, as the entire ensemble seems to be bored by Levinson’s slow, methodical approach to remembering details, which may have only worked if it was a docudrama. De Niro has shown recently in films like Killers of the Flower Moon and The Irishman that he is still capable of giving great performances, and thus the failure of The Alto Knights to muster any energy out of him can only be blamed on Levinson.

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ (2022)
Don’t Worry Darling is without a doubt one of the most fascinating films of the 2020s based purely on the alleged chaos that went on behind-the-scenes during the production. While it’s important to separate the art from the artist, even if intriguing gossip can shape perspectives, Don’t Worry Darling was so clearly a film that everyone was on different pages making it fascinating to see how it became such a disaster. It’s one of the rare instances in which a group of truly talented people worked to make something nearly unwatchable, given that director Olivia Wilde had previously succeeded with her high school comedy Booksmart, and her latest film The Invite is one of the best of 2026.
Don’t Worry Darling builds to a twist so laughable that it might have succeeded as satire, but the commentary on misogyny and ‘50s culture is so outdated that it can’t hope to have any sort of resonance. What’s particularly unfortunate is that there is some compelling lavish production design and Florence Pugh does give a very charismatic, empathetic lead performance, but they are both wasted on a film that doesn’t take advantage of them.
2
‘Flight Risk’ (2025)
Flight Risk is a bizarre film for Mel Gibson to have directed, given that it is unlike anything else he has done as a filmmaker. While Gibson is obviously an extremely controversial director for multiple reasons, it would be hard to deny his talents when it comes to epic filmmaking; Braveheart is a Best Picture winner, Hacksaw Ridge is a riveting World War II drama, and Apocalypto is one of the most underrated action films ever made. Gibson has a talent for telling massive stories about societies on the verge of collapse, so it makes little sense that he would want to make a tight confinement thriller that had obvious budgetary impediments. While this is not the first time that he has collaborated with Mark Wahlberg, it is more than obvious that they aren’t bringing out the best in one another.
The worst thing about Flight Risk is that it is not nearly as fun as it should be, as the moments of ultra-violence and allusions to sexual abuse make what could have been a goofy B-movie feel downright sinister in nature. Wahlberg’s performance (and hairpiece) are downright ridiculous, and the final action set piece contains some of the worst CGI in any film since The Mummy Returns. Gibson’s qualities have long since been debated, but Flight Risk shows that he has also sold out as a filmmaker.

‘Kraven the Hunter’ (2024)
Kraven the Hunter finally brought the Sony Spider-Man spinoff universe to an end, as it was more than clear that trying to make a cinematic universe composed solely of villains that couldn’t be part of the MCU or feature any iteration of the webslinger was a very bad idea. Kraven the Hunter seemed like it might be a corrective because it was the only one of the six films to be Rated-R, and looked to be embracing some of the more exciting aspects of the comics. While Kraven the Hunter is better than both Madame Web and Morbius, that’s really not saying much at all; it suffers from the same issues of an overcomplicated backstory, bad and aloof dialogue, and not enough of the characters in their costumes or using powers.
Trying to make Kraven himself be an intimidating assassin only ended up feeling silly because of the goofy accents, even if Aaron Taylor-Johnson does have the right physique to play the character. There is unfortunately too much time when Taylor-Johnson is off screen that is centered on the character’s childhood, which ends up following down the same melodramatic route as nearly every other origin film. Russell Crowe, Alessandro Nivola, and Christopher Abbott are three brilliant actors who are trapped playing ridiculous villains with undefined powers, as Kraven the Hunter doesn’t even take the effort to make a centralized threat. It’s films like this that have caused “superhero fatigue.”

Free Streaming Officially Revives One of Mark Wahlberg’s Worst Sci-Fi Movies
It’s been a tremendous year so far for stars Zendaya, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Jon Bernthal, who between them have appeared in blockbuster movies such as The Odyssey, The Drama, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and have several high-profile titles lined up. Similarly, there can be no doubt that the director of the year so far is Christopher Nolan, who has found a way to raise his profile even further with The Odyssey. The movie is set to become the fourth blockbuster of 2026 to pass the coveted $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office, joining The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5, and Michael.
The latter film was directed by Antoine Fuqua, emerging as the biggest hit of his sturdy career. If there’s one other filmmaker who deserves a place alongside Nolan in the spotlight this year, it’s him. Like Zendaya, Holland, Pattinson, and Bernthal, whose earlier movies are witnessing viewership spikes thanks to the success of their newest work, Fuqua is seeing his past work gain newfound attention as well. However, the movie that’s currently surging on the free Tubi chart domestically isn’t one of his best. In fact, it’s his lowest-rated project, including his television and streaming work, on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. In addition to the poor reviews that the movie in question received, it also suffered the indignity of being shafted to Paramount+ in 2021 — a year when several major studio movies were released directly on streaming.
The Movie Was Critically Panned
We’re talking about the sci-fi thriller Infinite, in which Mark Wahlberg‘s character discovers that he belongs to a secret society of individuals who have been protecting humanity for centuries. The movie was compared unfavorably to The Matrix and the Jason Bourne saga, and is now sitting at a 17% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The aggregator website’s consensus reads, “An initially intriguing sci-fi thriller that quickly veers into incoherence, Infinite is as inane as it is inconsequential.” The movie also featured Chiwetel Ejiofor, Dylan O’Brien, and Rupert Friend, among others. It’s Wahlberg’s only Paramount+ release; the star has headlined three Netflix movies, and two each for Prime Video and Apple TV in recent years. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
