Kylie Jenner’s Wild Girls Trip Is Allegedly A Calculated Move
Kylie Jenner may look like she is fully embracing a carefree “hot girl summer,” but according to a new report, there is apparently more strategy behind the scenes than fans realize. The beauty mogul has been turning heads this week while vacationing in Turks and Caicos with her closest friends, posting videos of herself dancing, sipping cocktails, and jumping into a pool fully clothed. But while social media users praised Kylie Jenner’s seemingly carefree energy, a source now claims the entire vibe may actually be part of a carefully planned business move.

Jenner appeared to let loose during the tropical getaway, sharing clips of herself drinking beer and fruity cocktails, dancing with friends, and soaking up the sun. At one point, the “Kardashians” star even jumped into a swimming pool while still wearing a minidress.
One of Jenner’s Instagram captions read, “We’re not OK,” as she embraced one of her friends during the trip. Jenner later leaned into the theme herself, posting, “Kylie summer trip!!! @kyliecosmetics” and “We’re literally summering.”
Source Claims It’s All About Kylie Cosmetics

Despite the seemingly spontaneous spring-break energy, a source told the Daily Mail the trip is reportedly far more intentional than it appears. “Kylie is presenting a carefree, fun image to help sell her new Kylie Cosmetic Lip Butter flavors,” the insider claimed.
According to the source, Jenner’s real day-to-day lifestyle looks much different from the image currently flooding social media. “The truth is she doesn’t really drink or party much. Most days she wakes up early to exercise and is in her office by 7am or 8am and then goes home to her kids to cook,” the insider alleged. “She is very much a CEO type who is on top of her game.”
Still, the source claimed Jenner enjoys leaning into a more carefree public image from time to time. “She loves making people think she has a wild side,” the source added. “And while she likes to party with her old friends once in a while, she is very much a business boss babe who has business on her mind.”
Kylie Jenner Turned Her Vacation Into A Full-Blown Brand Trip

Nearly every aspect of the luxurious vacation appeared tied to Kylie Cosmetics. The getaway reportedly centered around promoting new Lip Butter flavors, with Jenner’s influencer friend group helping model products and share makeup content online. Guests on the trip included Victoria Villarroel, Maguire Grace Amundsen, Anastasia Karanikolaou, and Yris Palmer.
Jenner also transformed the rented beachfront mansion into a Kylie Cosmetics paradise, reportedly branding mirrors, parasols, robes, towels, and even cocktails with the company logo. Each room was stocked with gifts for attendees, including bikinis, towels, lighters, throwaway cameras, woven beach bags, water bottles, makeup, and personalized itineraries.
While boyfriend Timothée Chalamet did not appear to join the trip, Jenner did bring her children, Stormi and Aire, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott.
Jenner Hopes Stormi One Day Takes Over Her Brand

The business-minded approach aligns with Jenner’s long-term vision for Kylie Cosmetics. Last year, the reality star opened up about wanting daughter Stormi to eventually take over the beauty empire one day.
“After 10 years, I’m just still so excited to create,” Jenner told WWD after celebrating a decade of Kylie Cosmetics in November 2025. “It’s my dream that my daughter will want to take over Kylie Cosmetics. I would love for this to be a legacy brand, and I’m working hard every day to set up that future.”
Her mom, Kris Jenner, echoed the sentiment, saying, “Building an Estée Lauder, or any one of those beauty companies that has been around for a gazillion years, that’s what Kylie’s working toward.”
Kylie Jenner Recently Reflected On 10 Years Of Kylie Cosmetics

Jenner’s business-focused approach comes as she recently celebrated a major milestone for her beauty empire. Last year, the reality star marked 10 years of Kylie Cosmetics and admitted the moment left her feeling emotional as she reflected on how much has changed since launching the brand as a teenager. “I’ve been very emotional about it,” Jenner said of the milestone.
The beauty mogul revealed she had recently revisited memories from the brand’s earliest days after finding an old phone filled with photos from 2016. “I found my old phone from 2016 and there are these photos of me at 17, 18 years old, sitting on the factory floor creating my first eye shadow palette,” she shared.
Looking back, Jenner admitted she never imagined the company would become the global brand it is today. “I didn’t think that far into the future when I was creating the brand, I wasn’t thinking about 10 years later, so it is pretty surreal to be here,” she added.

28 Years Later, Steven Spielberg’s Near-Perfect WWII Masterpiece Is Free To Stream
It says something when a film enters into an already crowded genre, but doesn’t just fit in nicely, it ends up becoming the defining film of that genre. When people think of World War II movies, chances are they’ll think of this one, because of the beginning, the middle, and the end. Yep, the whole thing is perfect, it’s a masterpiece, and it’s a sin if you’ve never seen it.
Saving Private Ryan is streaming for free on Pluto this month, which is perfect timing to give viewers the chance to see one of the best war movies ever committed to celluloid. The movie opens with the shell shock of the Normandy landings on Omaha Beach, and follows Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump) and his squad moving through Nazi-occupied France on a mission to find Private James Francis Ryan (Matt Damon, Good Will Hunting), whose three brothers have been killed in combat. All they have to do is bring him home.
The epic features a talented ensemble, including Tom Sizemore (Heat) as Sergeant Horvath, Edward Burns (The Brothers McMullen) as Private Reiben, Barry Pepper (True Grit) as Private Jackson, Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious) as Private Caparzo, Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar) as Medic Wade, Jeremy Davies (Justified) as Corporal Upham, and Adam Goldberg (Dazed and Confused) as Private Mellish.
Was ‘Saving Private Ryan’ a Success?
It was a monster hit, especially considering it was such an intense, and R-rated, drama about World War II. It grossed about $217 million domestically and around $482 million worldwide against a $70 million budget. Today’s money is where it gets wild. That would equate to $430 million domestic, $950 million worldwide, and a budget of about $138 million. An outrageous success.
Critically, it was even bigger than that, if at all possible, because the film was widely hailed as one of the greatest war movies ever made, with particular praise for Spielberg’s direction, Hanks’ performance, and the harrowing and visceral Omaha Beach opening sequence. It earned 11 Oscar nominations and won five, including Best Director for Spielberg, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Sound, and Best Sound Effects Editing. Not bad, right?

Gerard Butler’s Forgotten War Thriller Is Officially Rewriting History on Hulu
It hasn’t exactly been an ideal start to the year so far for Gerard Butler, who starred in one of the biggest box office bombs of the last few years. Butler re-teamed with Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) for Greenland 2: Migration, the sequel to their moderately successful disaster thriller that was released in 2020. Unfortunately, Greenland 2 struggled at the box office under the weight of its $90 million budget, failing to even gross $50 million by the end of its run. Butler fans were treated to some good news not long after the premiere of Greenland 2 when it was reported that Netflix had acquired the rights to his hit crime thriller, In the Hand of Dante, which also stars Oscar Isaac and Jason Momoa. Netflix has already released the first trailer for the film, which is coming to streaming later this year.
Both Greenland and its sequel, Greenland 2: Migration, were directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who has a long history of working with Butler. The two first teamed up in 2019 for Angel Has Fallen, the trilogy-capping action thriller that grossed over $145 million at the global box office. Four years after the premiere of Angel Has Fallen, and between the premieres of Greenland and Greenland 2, the duo worked together on a new action thriller, Kandahar, which also stars Tom Rhys Harries (Clayface). Three years removed from an underwhelming theatrical release which saw Kandahar gross less than $10 million, the film is now streaming on Hulu for all subscribers in America. It’s also one of the most popular movies on Starz in several countries, and it’s even a smash hit on Apple TV’s VOD platform in a few countries.
What Is ‘Kandahar’ About?
Kandahar follows a CIA operative and his translator who flee from a dangerous unit of special forces soldiers in Afghanistan after uncovering a covert operation. The film is perfect for fans of both Sicario and Black Hawk Down, with all the conspiracy and war action a great thriller needs to keep audiences hooked from start to finish. Kandahar helmer Ric Roman Waugh most recently directed the Jason Statham-led action thriller, Shelter, which just arrived on Starz after an underwhelming stay in theaters. Kandahar had a run on Netflix last summer when it became the most-watched movie on the entire platform, and although things have cooled off a bit since then, it’s still widely considered one of Butler’s most underrated action thrillers.
Check out Kandahar on Hulu in America, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates and coverage of Butler’s future projects.

James Gunn Just Fixed Marvel’s Biggest Problem
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

The other night, I was leaving the movie theater with some friends, and we began to pass the posters advertising upcoming films. I pointed to the poster featuring Clayface, DC’s upcoming movie written by horror legend Mike Flanagan. I told a buddy how much I was looking forward to watching it; without missing a beat, he said, “It takes place in the same universe as Supergirl, you know.” I didn’t need to be Batman to see his point: namely, that it’s a little absurd to imagine the colorful, wisecracking adventures of a flying party girl taking place in the same cinematic universe as a grounded psychological thriller about madness and murder.
However, Supergirl director Craig Gillespie recently explained how such very different films can easily coexist within the DCU. In an interview with Fandango, he admitted he was worried about how much of Supergirl needed to “be part of the DC universe.” When he asked James Gunn, the DCU Studios guru replied, “’We’re treating this like each is its own graphic novel.” Gillespie leaned into this, believing that great graphic novels can and should be visually and narratively distinct, which is why Supergirl looks and feels so different than Superman. Reading this, I couldn’t help but think of something profound: James Gunn’s fanboyism just helped him fix the problem that sank the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A Different Kind Of Hero

Part of why fans were so excited by the MCU in the first place was that it felt like the comics it was inspired by. Characters would often pop up in each other’s movies and occasionally all get together for superhero showdowns like The Avengers. However, the nature of this shared universe kept writers, directors, and producers from treating individual movies like their own, self-contained graphic novels. Eventually, the vast majority of MCU films began to feel less distinct because creators were forced to fit their story within the confines of Marvel’s house style. That meant endless quippy jokes and broad comedy, regardless of whether it suited the character or not.
While Iron Man set the tone for a more lighthearted universe, the MCU didn’t get completely silly until the success of The Avengers. Audiences responded insanely well to the self-referential humor and witty dialogue from director Joss Whedon, whose shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly taught an entire generation of nerds to love this style of writing. This inspired James Gunn to go full quirky with Guardians of the Galaxy, and after audiences fell in love, all bets were off. The MCU came to be dominated by comedic characters like the Guardians and Spider-Man, and even relatively serious heroes like Thor and Hulk became goofy caricatures.
Marvel: All Formula, No Flavor

What do Supergirl director Craig Gillespie’s recent comments about the DCU have to do with Marvel’s mania for silliness? For one thing, the broad comedy of the MCU isn’t going away anytime soon. While Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will be serious, Endgame-style affairs, Marvel guru Kevin Feige will be centering a rebooted cinematic universe largely around the X-Men. Not only are these mutants known for their humor, but their first film will be directed by Jake Schreier, whose Thunderbolts was another broad, ensemble comedy. It seems like the “new” MCU will be more of the same, but the DCU is gearing up to finally deliver something new to superhero fans.
Per Gillespie, Gunn’s comments about treating each DCU movie as its own graphic novel means that we can finally have something Marvel never really gave us: an interconnected universe made up of wildly different stories. The DC comics are the same way, with horror titles like Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing existing side-by-side with gloriously goofy titles like Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen. As a longtime comic fan, I love the idea that DCU movies may be equally different in terms of tone, humor, aesthetics, and more. Honestly, that’s far more exciting than watching yet another Marvel movie that has been sufficiently watered down to fit some boring, focus group-driven house style.

Long story not so short? It’s clear that Supergirl is going to have a very different tone and feel than Superman, and Clayface looks like it will be in its own completely new category of weirdness. However, that’s a good thing. Whereas the MCU fell off when all of its movies became crappy knockoffs of the original Avengers, the DCU is poised to thrive by making every movie feel distinct. This is all due to DCU Studios head honcho James Gunn treating these movies with the same reverence he treats the source material. Does that make him a fanboy? Sure. But you know what they say: it takes one to entertain one!

Madonna Fans Convinced She Wore A ‘Diaper’ During Pride Show
Madonna once again found herself at the center of online chatter after her surprise Pride performance in New York City sparked a wave of fan speculation. The Queen of Pop took the stage Thursday for a special Pride concert hosted by Grindr in Times Square, performing in a lingerie-inspired look while debuting music from her upcoming album, “Confessions II.” But while many fans praised the high-energy set, others were distracted by one particular detail, and social media quickly filled with comments about Madonna’s appearance.

During the show, Madonna stepped onstage wearing pink-and-blue corsetry paired with thigh-high boots, showing off her bold style. However, some viewers quickly began speculating about the singer’s figure, particularly her backside, which some social media users claimed looked noticeably different from previous years.
“She looks good from the front, but what happened to her bum?” one person questioned online. Another user added, “It looks like a diaper!”
The comments reignited long-running speculation that Madonna may have undergone cosmetic enhancements, including rumors of a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) or butt implants, though the singer has never publicly confirmed undergoing either procedure.
She Previously Addressed Criticism About Her Appearance

This is not the first time Madonna’s changing appearance has become a topic of conversation online. Fans first began speculating about possible cosmetic work back in 2019 after several performances prompted questions about her changing figure. Over the years, Madonna has pushed back against criticism surrounding her appearance, previously calling out what she described as “ageism and misogyny.”
In a lengthy Instagram post, the pop icon criticized society for refusing to celebrate women as they age. She argued that we live in a “world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working, and adventurous.”
Madonna Also Left Fans Nervous During Risky Stunt

The singer’s appearance was not the only thing making headlines during the surprise Times Square performance. Madonna also sparked concern after a risky moment onstage saw her swing one leg over a protective railing while performing several stories above the crowd.
In footage captured during the livestream, the singer appeared partially suspended over the edge of the elevated stage, prompting worried reactions online. Fortunately, Madonna appeared completely unfazed by the nerve-wracking moment and continued her set without issue.
She Debuted New Music From ‘Confessions II’

Despite the online chatter, Madonna’s surprise appearance also served as a preview of her upcoming album, “Confessions II.” Her setlist included tracks such as “Bring Your Love,” “I Feel So Free,” “Love Sensation,” “Get Together,” “Hung Up,” and “I Love New York.”
She was joined onstage by longtime collaborator Stuart Price, who previously worked with the singer on her 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor” and is now producing “Confessions II.” The highly anticipated project is slated for release on July 3.
But that’s not all. Madonna is also gearing up for another major release tied to “Confessions II.” The pop icon recently announced that “Confessions II – The Film” will officially premiere on YouTube on June 8 at 11 a.m. ET, giving fans a visual companion to her upcoming album.
According to the poster, the film will feature appearances from Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, Gwendoline Christie, Richard E. Grant, Cole Palmer, Archie Madekwe, Debi Mazar, Honey Dijon, Arca, Shygirl, João Pedro, Odessa A’zion, and Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon.
Madonna Recently Sparked Buzz With Racy Pride Month Video

The Pride performance is not the first time Madonna has made headlines this month. Earlier this week, the pop icon kicked off Pride Month with a daring Instagram video that quickly caught fans’ attention. In the clip, Madonna appeared smoking and crawling across the floor while wearing a revealing outfit that showed off plenty of cleavage.
At one point in the video, the singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction and appeared to experience a n-p slip, which she later censored with a black bar to comply with Instagram’s content guidelines. “You know what, see a f-cking b–b,” Madonna said in the clip before leaning toward the camera to blow a kiss.
“Happy Pride! Happy Pride,” she added.

A ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Star’s Near-Perfect Sci-Fi Masterpiece Is Free To Stream This Month
There’s something quite remarkable about a well-done alien invasion movie, because it speaks to all of our deepest fears of the unknown. What do they want? Are they here to hurt us? How will we survive? But what happens if they come here to help us, and we have no idea how to decipher that? How would we handle it? That’s the topic of one of the finest science fiction movies ever made, and now, you can watch it without paying a single, solitary penny.
Arrival is streaming for free on Pluto this month, which means everyone can watch one of the best ever “first contact” movies. Based on Ted Chiang’s short story “Story of Your Life,” the film follows a linguist who is recruited by the military after mysterious alien spacecraft appear around the world, and they desperately want to know what on Earth — quite literally — it is that they want.
The cast includes Amy Adams (Enchanted) as Louise Banks, Jeremy Renner (Mayor of Kingstown) as Ian Donnelly, Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) as Colonel Weber, Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man) as Agent Halpern, and Tzi Ma (The Farewell) as General Shang. The film is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune), while the score by Jóhann Jóhannsson gives the movie an eerie sadness that lingers long after the credits.
Was ‘Arrival’ a Success?
Financially, the movie was a real success, especially considering it wasn’t a broad sci-fi thriller like many perhaps thought it would be but rather a thoughtful drama that just happened to be sci-fi. It grossed about $100.5 million domestically and $203.4 million worldwide against a reported $47 million budget, and it also opened solidly with $24.1 million in North America, which, again, was a really positive surprise.
Critically, it was a huge win too, but given how good Villeneuve is, this isn’t a surprise. Rotten Tomatoes called it “a refreshingly thoughtful take on first contact,” and the film earned eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director for Villeneuve, and Best Adapted Screenplay, winning Best Sound Editing. Adams was also widely praised, even though her Oscar snub remains one of those “are you actually kidding?” awards-season moments.

17. Total Trendsetter: Swim skirts deserve a comeback, especially this playful version that pairs a modern leopard-print top with a swishy yet sleek black bottom.
18. Somewhere OOO: Imagine sailing in the Virgin Islands in this high-waisted bikini, the rainbow hems catching the sun. It’s easy to swim in but even easier to nap in.
19. Seriously Elevated: Textured fabric and gold hardware elevate this luxe-looking bikini beyond basic. It’s flattering, too, with a push-up top and high-waisted bottom that work together to sculpt your figure.

Taylor Sheridan’s 4-Part Crime Series Is the Perfect Weekend Binge for ‘MobLand’ Fans
2026 has been a busy year for Taylor Sheridan already, but that comes as no surprise to those who have been following his career for the last few years. Sheridan started the year strong with a new Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, which shows what Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) is doing now that he’s left ranch life behind. Sheridan follows the first season of Marshals with a brand-new contemporary Western, The Madison, which features a pair of big stars such as Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer. Sheridan recently returned to the Yellowstone universe for a much darker spin-off, Dutton Ranch, which follows Rip (played by Cole Hauser) and Beth (played by Kelly Reilly) after the events of the series finale. Despite several new shows already coming from Sheridan this year, things are somehow set to get even busier as we move into the second half of the year.
Another Sheridan-created show that’s quietly awaiting a comeback is Tulsa King, the hit crime saga starring and produced by Sylvester Stallone. Stallone confirmed a few months ago that filming for Tulsa King Season 4 had wrapped, and that the show was at the end of the editing and post-production phase. While Paramount has yet to set an official return date for Tulsa King Season 4, it has been confirmed that it will premiere before the end of the year. While fans anxiously await the arrival of more Tulsa King episodes, they’re rewatching the series on repeat, which has led it back into the Paramount Plus top 10 in more than 15 countries at the time of writing. Tulsa King is even outperforming a few other popular Sheridan titles, like Landman and Mayor of Kingstown.
What Is ‘Tulsa King’ About?
The official synopsis for Tulsa King, which also stars Garrett Hedlund and Frank Grillo, reads as follows:
“After serving twenty-five years in prison, New York mobster Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, by his crime family. Building an unlikely new crew, he transforms a fresh criminal enterprise while confronting rivals, betrayals, and a rapidly changing world, determined to reclaim power, purpose, and respect again.”
Tulsa King has not-so-quietly become one of Paramount’s flagship properties — the combined star power of Sheridan and Stallone can’t be denied. The fate of the show beyond Season 4 has yet to be decided, but if things stay the same course as they are right now, the crime series could be on the air for years to come. Tulsa King is also the perfect watch for MobLand fans, as both shows have heavy overarching themes of organized crime.
Check out the first three seasons of Tulsa King on Paramount Plus and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Sheridan’s future projects.

While many social media users supported the pair’s seemingly TikTok-official moment, content creator Wardrobe Winter wasn’t convinced.
During a recent livestream, Wardrobe called Yona and her mother after reacting to the viral TikTok. He claimed Yona was the fourth girl Rakai had featured on his TikTok page and suggested she was simply another addition to his roster.
Meanwhile, Yona Lashay shared a few observations of her own. During the call, she claimed she couldn’t repost the TikTok to her account and suggested Rakai might be hiding the post from someone.
She also asked her daughter whether she could actually see the relationship going anywhere. In which Yona Royale appeared flustered before handing the phone up.

The Greatest Action Series of All Time Is the Perfect Weekend Binge 40 Years Later
Everybody remembers the legacy of MacGyver. Swiss Army knives, duct tape, household objects being transformed into things household objects were never meant to become…the show practically invented that method. What gets forgotten is that Angus MacGyver wasn’t solving problems because he enjoyed building gadgets. He was solving them because he’d rather spend ten minutes figuring something out than ten milliseconds pulling a trigger.
MacGyver Was the Anti-Action Hero of the 1980s
The setup was delightfully straightforward: MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) worked for the Phoenix Foundation — a government think tank housing an intelligence agency — and had a remarkable talent for showing up exactly where things were going wrong. One week, it was terrorists. The next week, it was spies. After that, it was kidnappers, criminals, or somebody whose terrible decision-making had spiraled completely out of control. Most television heroes would’ve solved those problems with bullets, but MacGyver usually solved them by staring at a pile of random objects until an idea appeared.
The concept probably shouldn’t work as well as it does. A man solving international crises with household objects sounds like the setup for a joke. The reason it works is Anderson. He never plays MacGyver like a genius, showing off. He plays him like a practical guy who’s slightly baffled that nobody else has noticed the obvious solution yet.
The contrast was especially noticeable in the 1980s. Television action heroes were getting louder, tougher, and increasingly more explosive. Every year, they seemed determined to add bigger weapons and larger body counts. Then there was MacGyver, wandering into danger looking like somebody’s approachable science teacher and somehow leaving with fewer casualties than everybody else.
That’s the part that feels surprisingly rebellious now. Modern action heroes often spend half their screen time processing trauma and the other half launching opponents through walls. MacGyver approached most crises the way ordinary people approach assembling furniture. It might be frustrating. It might take longer than expected. But surely there was a solution that didn’t involve setting everything on fire.
The power of the guilty pleasure.
MacGyver’s Intelligence Still Feels Refreshing Today
The gadgets were never really the point. They were a visual representation of how MacGyver viewed the world. Every problem had a solution. Every situation deserved a closer look. Every locked door, broken machine, hostage crisis, or dangerous confrontation could potentially be solved with observation, patience, and a little creativity. That philosophy gives the series an unusual warmth. Even when episodes become ridiculous, and some absolutely do, the show remains rooted in the belief that intelligence is useful. Not intelligence as arrogance. Intelligence as curiosity.
MacGyver succeeds because he notices things, asks questions, and understands how systems work. Then he uses that knowledge to help people. Watching the series now, it’s striking how little that approach has aged. Some of the hairstyles absolutely belong in a museum. Some of the technology looks like it should be displayed beside a fax machine and a stack of floppy disks. Yet the central idea remains surprisingly durable. The world does not need another hero looking for an excuse to pull a trigger, and that’s what makes him one of the best action heroes.
That’s why MacGyver still works forty years later. Not because of the Swiss Army knife or homemade inventions. Not only because Richard Dean Anderson remains endlessly likable, the show endures because it built an action hero around intelligence instead of violence. In an era when so many protagonists solve every problem by hitting it harder, watching somebody use his brain as Plan A still feels like a novelty. And somehow, decades later, that’s what makes MacGyver feel ahead of its time.
