‘DTF St. Louis’ Officially Crowned Outstanding Limited Series at the Emmy Awards

Published

on

Every year when the Emmys come around, the categories most fans seem to focus on are Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Comedy Series. Even within those subsets, fans find themselves drawn to the leading and supporting performances within, and this year, there are some strong contenders across all categories. However, one of the most fascinating categories year after year is Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. What sets this category apart from others is that its very nature prevents sweeps, like what fans are likely to see from The Pitt, which is eyeing several wins in more categories than it swept last year. There are five nominations this year for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, and each has fans and experts backing them to take home the award.

Peacock’s biggest show in history, All Her Fault, is among the nominees for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series this year, along with The Beast in Me, which aired on Netflix earlier in the year. The former stars Sarah Snook, who is best known for her role as Shiv Roy across all four seasons of Succession. Another Netflix original series, Beef, which was written and created by Lee Sung Jin, is also in line to be recognized for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series this year. Lee Sung Jin is also working with director Jake Schreier on the script for Marvel’s X-Men reboot movie starring Inde Navarrette and Adam Driver. The final two nominees are DTF St. Louis, the hit HBO series starring Jason Bateman and David Harbour, and Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, which aired on Hulu way back in February.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

What Won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series at the 2026 Emmys?

After some deliberation from the voters, HBO’s DTF St. Louis took home the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. There were talks that Beef Season 2, starring Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, could come in at the ninth hour and win the award, but the consensus is that DTF St. Louis was viewed as a heavy favorite from the time the categories were announced until now. Unlike some other shows in this category, such as Beef and Love Story, there is not expected to be a second season of DTF St. Louis on HBO Max.

‘The Pitt’ Officially Crowned Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards

Published

on

the-pitt-poster.jpg

2026 has been a stellar year for TV, especially drama shows, and the most prestigious of them all was officially awarded tonight with the honor of a lifetime. There are more than enough streaming options for fans of all genres nowadays, but when it came time to give out the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series this year, the two platforms who had the most nominations were HBO Max and Apple TV. For HBO Max, its three most successful shows of the year were The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and The Pitt. All three shows have new seasons on the way, and the Game of Thrones spin-off, which is a personal favorite of author George R.R. Martin, is expected to return as early as next year.

Meanwhile, Apple TV also had some serious players on TV this year with Pluribus, Slow Horses, and Your Friends and Neighbors. Similar to the aforementioned HBO shows, there is variance here with sci-fi thrillers like Pluribus and slow-burn spy thrillers like Slow Horses, but all three shows are confirmed to return for new seasons. Your Friends and Neighbors was also written and created for TV by Jonathan Tropper, who also penned the script for Shawn Levy’s new Star Wars movie coming to theaters in 2028. Only two other streaming services had shows were awarded with nominations for Outstanding Drama Series — The Diplomat scored a nomination for Netflix and Paradise Season 2 earned a nod for Hulu. This is as stacked a field for Outstanding Drama Series as we’ve ever seen, but for one of the rare times in history, there has been a repeat winner.

Who Won Best Drama Series at the 2026 Emmys?

For the second year in a row, it was The Pitt that took home the award for Outstanding Drama Series. HBO’s hit medical drama starring Noah Wyle had some incredible competition, and it wouldn’t have been surprising to see the award go to any of the other shows that were nominated. However, it’s safe to say that The Pitt more than deserved its win for Outstanding Drama Series, and also deserved its other wins that went to various stars for their leading and supporting performances.

Bold and Beautiful 2-Week Spoilers Sept 14-25: Carter’s Wild Scheme Leaves Taylor Uneasy

Published

on

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the two weeks that start September 14th with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) coming up with an insane plan when he’s desperate to save his marriage from exploding. Plus, Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) is really anxious because Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) seems to be falling apart.

Also, coming up during the two weeks of September 14-25, we’ve got Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) feeling guilty when he really shouldn’t and he turns to both his mom Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and also Steffy’s mom, Taylor. Let’s jump right in.

Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy is Sure Carter’s the Daddy

Monday, September 14th on The Bold and the Beautiful, carrying over from Friday, Steffy and Carter discuss her pregnancy. I expect he’ll ask if Steffy is sure. And she tells Carter she took several pregnancy tests. Yes, she is definitely pregnant.

She seems certain that it is Carter’s baby. Now, you’d think odds are it’s Finn because they do the deed quite frequently, but Steffy might know for certain because of their birth control. She seems convinced that she and Carter cannot hide their night together because of this pregnancy.

You know, maybe she knows it’s Carter’s or maybe she suspects the worst will happen and Steffy doesn’t want to light a fan and go behind his back for a DNA test. Especially not after the whole Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) thing when she needed a test when she was pregnant with Hayes.

This week up at Forrester Creations, Taylor tells Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) she’s worried about Steffy and that their daughter seems off. And I wonder if Ridge will take these concerns of Taylor’s seriously or if he will just brush them off thinking it’s about work. If so, he is wrong as he usually is.

B&B Spoilers: Li Supports Finn

Also, Li Finnegan returns on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. So, Finn is going to have multiple scenes with his mom. And I look forward to all those because he’s pretty stressed out. And Finn is going to tell Li yet again that he will do absolutely anything for his family. I’m sure this is Finn swearing to Li that he’ll never let Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) come between him and Steffy and that he kicked Sheila out of their lives.

So, Steffy won’t have a reason not to trust Finn. But he also sees that Steffy is really worked up about something and he assumes it’s Sheila. In the end, Finn’s going to feel like an idiot for apologizing and praising Steffy for being so loyal and perfect, you know. I think he’s going to be enraged when he finds out she spent the night with Carter. But I do have a feeling Finn won’t find out for quite some time.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Daphne Opens Up to Taylor and Ridge

Tuesday, September 15th on The Bold and the Beautiful. Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) is hoping that she and Carter can find a surrogate who is the perfect match now that they’ve landed on this as their best way to have a baby. But Carter needs to race to stop Steffy. So, he and Daphne are talking in the showroom at Forrester and he runs out on her abruptly. But on the way out, Carter says he will do everything to make her dreams come true. And I think he means literally everything. After he takes off, Daphne talks to Ridge and Taylor.

And Ridge is asking Daphne, “As long as she and Carter get the baby they want, does it really matter who helps them?” Well, Daphne says she prefers somebody that they know and trust. She knows Steffy, but at this point really can’t trust her. Wednesday, September sixteenth on The Bold and the Beautiful. Finn’s trying to ease Steffy’s pain. Finn’s worried because Steffy is nearly hyperventilating. She’s in tears and tells Finn there’s something he needs to know.

Steffy’s freaking out, saying, “Oh god, oh god.” And then Carter burst in and he’s going to make a very impassioned plea. So, it looks like he might get there in the nick of time to stop Steffy from confessing to Finn and then Carter is going to talk to her alone. So, at the cliff house, Carter’s telling Steffy he has a way out of this situation for everybody. I am fully expecting Carter to pitch a surrogacy scheme. I’ll be surprised if it’s something else.

B&B Spoilers: Carter Presses Steffy

However, I think Steffy will give Carter a lot of push back. She’ll probably think it’s insane and he may be certain that it’s the only way to save both of their marriages. Thursday, September 17th on The Bold and the Beautiful. Carter’s suggestion has Daphne in disbelief. I expect Carter to pitch to Daphne that Steffy will be their egg donor and their surrogate. Daphne already knew Steffy had frozen eggs and because she told Daphne also last week that she would do anything for her and Carter, I think that she will believe it.

And while Daphne may be shocked at first, I think she’ll be open to this because she told Ridge she’d be more comfortable having the surrogate be somebody she knows and trusts. So, on the surface, Steffy seems perfect, but this is all Carter’s scheme. Both Finn and Ridge may be supportive. And if Carter and Steffy get away with this, nobody will ever know really because the DNA test will support a surrogacy story since it will be Steffy and Carter’s child biologically, which is the same thing it would be if it was really IVF.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) - Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig)The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) - Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig)
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) – Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig)

Bold Spoilers: Steffy Stunned

Friday, September 18th on The Bold and the Beautiful, we’ve got Steffy completely caught off guard. And this could be Daphne wanting to talk to Steffy about the surrogacy or it could be Finn catching Steffy off guard by wanting to know what is going on because by the end of the week, Finn’s asking Taylor for her support. Finn’s really worried about Steffy since she was falling apart and in tears earlier in the week. Plus, we have Taylor extremely worried about Steffy. And Taylor may corner Steffy soon, asking what’s going on because to her mom, it looks like Steffy’s falling apart.

The week of September 21-25 on The Bold and the Beautiful. We’ll find out if Steffy is completely on board with Carter’s plan. They are going to have to act fast and Steffy might have no choice when Daphne blindsides her. So, it looks like Carter is going to talk Steffy and Daphne both into it. So, he may suggest, look, we’ll use one of Steffy’s eggs. We’ll use her as a surrogate. But the problem is he’s lying right to Daphne’s face, and eventually when it all comes out, it’s going to be so ugly.

We’ll see if Steffy confides in Taylor when she sits down with her daughter about her apparent anxiety, especially after Finn turns to Taylor with his concerns about Steffy. We’ll see more of Darcy Dylan (Kelly Sullivan) this week, more of Dylan and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) getting closer because we know he’s all in with Dylan. Now, we’re going to see R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) working on their new line, and I’m curious to see what is next with Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) and how involved he is.

Bold and the Beautiful Fall Spoilers Promise Chaos

Then, we’ve got fall spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful. So, the aftermath of Carter and Steffy’s one night stand and how they handle it could affect them for years to come. Specifically, an official CBS spoiler said Carter and Steffy grapple with the secret born from their night together that threatens to destroy their marriages. The word born in that spoiler is such a big red flag. Katie Logan (Heather Tom) is going to keep finding success in the fashion world and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) is going to keep hating that.

And as Katie is enjoying her success, she makes some moves that make Brooke think Katie has gone too far. She’s already gone so far, so it seems kind of wild she would think something is too far. We’re going to find out lots more about Dylan. We’re going to get lots more of Darcy, but Katie is watching them both like a hawk. Electra’s relationship with R.J. intensifies, but a part of her will always want Will, but the Forresters stick to the fact that Forresters and Spencers don’t belong together.

The Bold and the Beautiful is going to bring some new people in who may cause new problems for Electra. We know that some of her family is coming, so it might be them that are causing issues for her. Deke Sharpe) (Harrison Cone) is going to get a new man in his life, and we’ll see if Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann) is around to interfere. Taylor’s rejection is going to eat at Deacon, and he’s really hoping that she’ll change her mind. And we’re going to see a whole lot of Sheila Carter because she will not give up on Deacon or Finn or Steffy and Hayes.

The Best-Reviewed Apple TV Sci-Fi Series of 2026 Is Officially Surging Through Streaming

Published

on

silo-poster.jpg

Apple TV+ has raised the bar for what viewers can expect from streaming television. No more middle-of-the-road content meant to play in the background. The platform has elevated its programming and provided the go-to destination for compelling sci-fi narratives. Silo is the highest-reviewed series and is also breaking records as it surges on streaming. Premiering in 2023, the post-apocalyptic show is adapted from Hugh Howey’s Wool series.

Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette Nichols, one of the many citizens of the titular silo. Constructed to avoid whatever end-of-the-world scenario that ended up occurring, the bunker has survived many generations based on a rigid caste system. The spiral silo houses the most affluent at the top, while manual laborers like the mechanics who keep the generator running are at the bottom. It has been so long that no one knows how the world ended, but they outlaw any relics that pertain to the old world. Juliette starts to question this way of life when her lover seemingly falls to his death. Convinced he wasn’t suicidal, Juliette sets out to discover the secrets of the silo and exactly what the higher-ups are hiding. Even in Season 3, the series continues to break records as Silo nears its final season.

‘Silo’ Season 3 Answers Long-Awaited Questions

The question of who built the silo has long haunted the series. The inhabitants of the refuge understand that they can’t go outside but have no clue as to when the world will be inhabitable again. Silo Season 3 finally sets out to answer this question, though it takes a whole season to do it. This time, production takes a more creative approach to Hugh Howey’s books by incorporating an amnesia storyline for Juliette.

  • That gravity, that willingness to carry what others won’t, is exactly you.

USS Enterprise · Star Trek

Captain Kirk

You lead with instinct, warmth, and an absolute refusal to accept a no-win scenario — because you’ve always believed there’s a third option nobody else has thought of yet.

  • You take the mission seriously without ever taking yourself too seriously.
  • Your crew would follow you anywhere, not because you demand it, but because you’ve earned it.
  • Kirk’s genius isn’t tactical — it’s human. He reads people, bends rules with purpose, and wills outcomes into existence through sheer conviction.
  • That combination of warmth, audacity, and relentless optimism is unmistakably yours.

The Rebellion · Star Wars

Princess Leia

You are the kind of person who holds the line when everyone else is losing faith — not because you’re fearless, but because giving up simply isn’t something you’re capable of.

  • You lead through conviction. Your voice carries because your belief is unshakeable.
  • You gave up everything ordinary the moment you chose the cause, and you’ve never looked back.
  • Leia is not a supporting character in her own story — she is the moral centre of the entire rebellion.
  • That same fierce, principled, unbreakable core is what defines you.

The Nostromo · Alien

Ellen Ripley

You are not reckless, not grandiose, and not particularly interested in being anyone’s hero — you just refuse to stop when it matters.

  • You see threats clearly, you document the truth even when no one listens, and when the time comes you handle it yourself.
  • Ripley’s heroism is earned, not performed. She doesn’t have a speech — she has a flamethrower and a plan.
  • You share her composure under the worst possible pressure, and her refusal to pretend the monster isn’t there.
  • When it counts, you don’t flinch. That’s everything.

The Wasteland · Mad Max

Max Rockatansky

You have been through fire that would break most people — and what came out the other side is something the world underestimates at its peril.

  • You don’t ask for help, don’t need validation, and don’t wait for anyone to tell you the rules no longer apply.
  • Your loyalty, when it finally arrives, is absolute — but it’s earned in silence and tested in action, not in words.
  • Max is not a nihilist. He is someone who lost everything and found, against his will, that he still has something worth protecting.
  • That bruised, stubborn, ultimately human core is exactly yours.

After surviving the inferno of the entrance to her silo, Juliette retains no memories of anything before. Season 3 picks up with her taking over for Bernard (Tim Robbins) as mayor after his supposed death. It becomes clear quite quickly that Juliette is being manipulated by a corrupt system that refuses to die.

Perhaps the more compelling narrative, however, is the other half of the episode. Finally, audiences will get answers about what really ended the world in Silo as the series flashes back to before the structures were built. Estimated to be at least three hundred years ago, this society is the focal point of the new season. When a dirty bomb from Iran detonates in D.C., the U.S. government considers retaliation. Pilot Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay) begs her brother, Congressman Daniel Keene, to get on the Iran Committee while encouraging him to tell reporter Helen (Jessica Henwick) everything that is going on.

Charlotte’s paranoia indicates there is something else going on, but these secrets may be buried after she suffers a traumatic brain injury on a mission. This sets up yet another Silo mystery that fans desperately want answered. Season 3 shows exactly how the circumstances of the silos began and how it connects to Juliette’s situation. Silo continues to expand on the concept and keeps viewers hooked on the line. Like any good sci-fi, it seems to miraculously predict what is to come, sometimes in terrifying ways.

‘Silo’ Is the Perfect Sci-Fi Series

Apple TV+ has the right instinct to deliver Silo in a timely manner as well as wrap up the concise story. With only one season left in its life, the show continues to provide results. Season 3 is more stirring than most, with a narrative that is more relevant than ever. Even though there are still many mysteries, one of them has been solved in the form of the AI known as the Algorithm.

As it turns out, Judicial was following the artificial intelligence system that continues to manipulate the silo. It insists on drugging Juliette and implanting her with false memories so she doesn’t remember the other silo. Robert Sims’ (Common) wife, Camille (Alexandria Riley), is its point of contact and the main culprit in gaslighting Juliette. While a newly implemented council acts as though it is updating the Pact, the AI is still pulling the strings.

If this isn’t a direct commentary on modern society, who knows what is? Taking orders from a non-human entity and allowing it unlimited control is one of the main concerns of the world at the moment. Framing the AI as the ultimate villain is a perfect way to connect with audiences when everyone in reality seems complicit in bowing to their computer overlords.

Silo also speaks to the ever-growing concerns over the apocalypse. Climate change seems to be getting worse every day, and the food continues to poison its citizens. The only difference is that the characters of Silo are taking these threats seriously, while in real life, no one in Washington, D.C., seems competent enough to do so. Silo’s relevance is beyond question, and as frightening as it is, it has become the best sci-fi development in a long time.

A Kentucky man is accused of killing a baby he was trusted to care for while the boy’s father was working, police claim.

Elijah Mayes, 19, was arrested after authorities discovered the body of his 11-month-old son Grayson Walton on Saturday, September 12, according to the Central City Police Department.

Mayes, of Central City, is charged with murder, first-degree criminal abuse, tampering with physical evidence, abuse of a corpse and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), the department said in a Monday, September 14, news release.

Before Grayson’s remains were discovered, police responded to a reported disturbance at a Central City residence, where they met with Grayson’s father around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Mayes, who was at the scene, reportedly said a family friend had picked up the baby the prior evening, around 10 p.m. on Friday, September 11.

When officers located and subsequently interviewed the family friend, she said she never picked up Grayson, authorities claim.

Another family member allegedly told police that they last saw the baby with Mayes at a different home in Central City.

Investigators first executed a search warrant at the home where the disturbance was reported and discovered methamphetamine, according to police. They also searched a car outside the property.

Investigators later executed an additional search warrant at the same residence where the family member said they saw Mayes and Grayson, police said.

The search led to the discovery of Grayson’s body inside the home, according to police.

Yaya Mayweather Ordered To Pay Victim Over $50 Million In Damages Following 2020 Stabbing At NBA YoungBoy’s Home

Yaya Mayweather is back in the headlines as new updates surface about the 2020 stabbing involving Lapattra Jacobs. The incident took place at NBA YoungBoy’s Texas home and has followed Yaya for years. Now, it looks like a judge has officially decided how much Yaya will have to pay in damages

Yaya Mayweather Ordered To Pay Lapattra Jacobs Millions In Damages

On Monday, reports surfaced that Yaya Mayweather was ordered to pay Lapattra Jacobs more than $50 million in damages.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a Texas judge awarded Jacobs over $40 million in compensatory damages. The judge also awarded another $10 million in exemplary damages, bringing the total to more than $50 million.

The damages reportedly cover medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment, lost earning capacity, and disfigurement. Furthermore, the judge found Yaya’s actions involved an “extreme degree of risk” and involved aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The site also reports that Jacobs initially sued NBA YoungBoy. However, her claims against the rapper did not make it to trial.

Here’s A Look Back At The 2020 Stabbing Incident

The incident dates back to April 2020, when Yaya Mayweather encountered Lapattra Jacobs at NBA YoungBoy’s Texas home. At the time, both women had been romantically linked to the rapper.

According to reports, the two exchanged words before the situation turned into a physical altercation inside the kitchen. Yaya allegedly grabbed two knives and stabbed Jacobs, who was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jacobs reportedly underwent surgery after suffering multiple wounds to her arm. Yaya was arrested and later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident.

She later pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced to six years of probation in December 2022. Yaya avoided jail time but was ordered to complete 40 hours of community service. She was also ordered not to harass or threaten Jacobs while serving her probation.

In 2025, Yaya returned to social media and reflected on some of her past choices, per The Shade Room. She praised her parents for raising her right and explained that her actions did not reflect how they raised her. Yaya also apologized to her parents and others she may have hurt over the years, including Jacobs. While maintaining that she acted in self-defense, Yaya still apologized to Jacobs for what happened.

Social Media Reacts

Folks quickly gathered under The Shade Room Teens as they reacted to the latest update involving Yaya Mayweather. While some were shocked by the high amount, others were happy to see Lapattra Jacobs receive justice. Many referred to Jacobs as “Pat” while celebrating the judgment in her favor. However, others questioned whether the more than $50 million payment was excessive.

Young and Restless 2-Week Spoilers Sept 14-25: Adam Sparks Fury as Matt Turns Traitor

Published

on

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) - Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the two weeks that start September 14th with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) infuriating his father when Adam writes Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) a reality check. Plus, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) makes a double cross move that may come back to bite him soon.

Also, coming up during the two weeks of September fourteenth through the twenty-fifth, we’ve got Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) helping Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pull off a con, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) leaving rehab, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is really frustrated. Let’s get right into it.

Young and the Restless: Jack Fakes a Heart Attack

Monday, September 14th on The Young and the Restless. Jack is taken to the hospital by off-duty paramedics who are helping this fake out to set up Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and try and lure her into a trap. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) worries to Jack once they get to the hospital that they won’t catch Patty and she will try and kill them again. Sally tells Adam Patty broke out of prison and asks Adam to have Newman Media cover Jack’s fake heart attack.

Wacky Patty debates her plan with Mr. Kitty. If you recall, Victor’s dog destroyed Patty’s original Mr. Kitty years ago, and she poisoned Victor’s dog in revenge. So, Patty’s debating leaving town or running to Jack. Patty also wants Matt away from Phyllis so he can work as her partner in crime. Patty is thrilled to see she’s trending online and then spots Jack’s heart attack news on Newman Media.

Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Blasts Matt

Meanwhile, Phyllis confronts Matt, who admits that Patty came, asking to hide out with him. And Matt says he should have called the police. And Phyllis says they will be heroes if they can bring Patty down. So Matt calls Patty and says, “Hey, come back to the motel room.” because he had a change of heart and he’s decided to work with her. We have Sally heading over to Jabot and telling Kyle Abbott (Michael Muhney) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that Adam agreed to help.

But Billy doesn’t trust Adam because he always does what Victor wants. Over at the new ranch, Adam tells Victor that Jack’s heart attack is a fake. Adam says it’s a plan to get Patty back in prison. Victor, of course, talks about exploiting Patty’s obsession with Jack. And then Victor snaps when Adam asks Victor not to do that. He asks Adam if he is choosing Jack over him. And Adam reminds Victor if he goes after Jack, then Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will leave. And of course, Victor doesn’t like getting that reality check.

Young and Restless: Nikki & Billy Talk Chancellor

Tuesday, September 15th on The Young and the Restless. Nikki and Billy reach an understanding. Of course, Nikki thinks Billy would be the worst choice to run Chancellor, so he may tell her he’s abandoned it completely, but I expect he can’t drop it that quickly. Matt turns the tables on Patty. So, Matt and Phyllis are plotting to set up Patty, and we’ve got Matt luring her back to the motel room. They plan to turn her into the cops for their redemption, but of course, Patty is going to get away.

Elsewhere, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) tries to get Lily to discuss their future together. Cane really wants to move forward with Lily and lock things down, but she’s trying to keep things casual with Cane and without labels. But then Lily and Cane are kissing passionately at the GCAC. Also this week, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle talk at Crimson Lights and they may be arranging their next romp. Even though they said that they were not going to hit the sheets again, but we know that they are this week.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria & Kyle Can’t Stay Away

In fact, Wednesday, September 16th on The Young and the Restless, Victoria takes control of her next rendezvous with Kyle. We’ve got Victoria waiting for him in a dark motel room. And when Kyle reaches for the light, she steps out from the bathroom and tells Kyle, “Don’t turn the light on.” Victoria is in sexy lingerie and heels, and it looks like she may be holding a blindfold. She’s holding something.

Billy tries to romance Sally, but his plans go up in smoke. So, this week, we are going to see Billy and Sally at their house, and they are sharing a really sweet and funny moment. So, Billy and Sally are sitting around. They’re on the sofa. Billy is shirtless. He’s in an apron with ingredients spread out on the coffee table. Sally’s laughing, but the fun time may end up being a stressful time if there is a cooking incident involving smoke and flames. This may be a literal spoiler.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) lets Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) know how much he appreciates her. She has been there for him. She got Nate the surgery consult and Stephanie drove him to and from surgery. And she took care of him while he’s recuperating. So, we’ve got Nate and Stephanie dancing in his apartment and Nate kisses her and tells Stephanie whatever this is, it feels real.

Y&R Spoilers: Victor Makes a Tough Decision

Thursday, September 17th on The Young and the Restless. Victor makes a difficult decision while trying to protect Nick. And despite Victor’s efforts, Nick is going to leave rehab earlier than he should. And he’s home this week. Jack and Diane get an ominous message from Patty.

She wants Diane out of the way again so she can get to Jack. And of course, Patty also wants Phyllis out of the way because of Matt. So, both these ladies may be at risk. This week at the Abbott Mansion, Jack and Diane are plotting with Kyle. Phyllis reaches a dead end in her quest to help Matt.

He may not be able to trick Patty, or they get frustrated with the lack of progress with their redemption plans for Matt. This week at Crimson Lights, Phyllis is talking to Matt and they look tense as Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick are watching. So, I guess the ruse of Matt left town isn’t holding up.

Young and Restless: Sally is Distraught

Friday, September 18th on The Young and the Restless. Sally is comforted by Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and there’s some kind of stressful time and hopefully it’s not about the baby. Maybe it’s about whatever happened with Billy and his cooking. Phyllis supports Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) new venture. I’m assuming this is about him working at the shadow room with his dad Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) tries to make peace with Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James).

Then the week of September 21-25 on The Young and the Restless, we will see if Devon accepts Cane’s peace offering or not. Billy and Sally may need some place to stay if that smoke thing turns out to be literal. Patty continues to evade authorities and continues to plot to have Jack all to herself and get revenge on a bunch of other people. Phyllis and Matt focus their redemption plan on taking down Patty, even though it’s proving to be more of a challenge than they anticipated.

Get ready to say goodbye to Stephanie as Vivica A. Fox leaves for a couple of months to do a movie, which will put her romance with Nate on hold. Victor plots how to use Patty to harm Jack and the Abbotts while keeping Nikki in the dark that he is involved. And Kyle and Victoria’s affair picks up steam, and they are going to catch feelings soon.

Young and the Restless Fall Spoilers: Victor Goes to Extremes to Protect Nick

We also have fall spoilers for The Young and the Restless. Victor is determined to punish Matt for defying him, and Victor crosses lines while trying to protect Nick’s recovery. Kyle and Victoria go to great lengths to keep their affair hidden, and Sally and Billy’s wedding is going to be huge. The social event of the year in Genoa City, but also expect the unexpected.

Ashley and Tracy play big roles in Sally and Billy’s wedding, but they have different opinions of Sally. Phyllis celebrates a big win, but then needs to decide if she still wants Matt in her life. Daniel loves running the shadow room, and Christine loves that he is home to Genoa City and they’re staying put. Daniel is at a crossroads and it’s Phyllis surprisingly who helps steer him down the right path.

Nate and Stephanie’s friendship heats up once she’s back, but they worry about Holden’s reaction. Speaking of that, there is chatter that Holden is recast that the recast may have already happened and we’ll see it on screen soon. No official confirmation yet. Cane and Lily are in a good place, but a secret from Lily’s past may risk their future. Also, season 54 of The Young and the Restless kicks off October 8th. And on November 11th, the new co-headwriters work appears, and I am super excited about that.

Friday the 13th Prequel Crystal Lake Unleashes Bloody Full Trailer

Published

on

A Twisted and Hilarious Horror Comedy

There is something inherently unsettling about the overly cheerful world of children’s television. The colorful sets, catchy songs, talking objects and giant costumed characters are designed to make kids feel safe. Buddy takes all of that childhood comfort, twists it into something deeply disturbing and somehow manages to make the result as funny as it is horrifying.

Directed by Casper Kelly, the filmmaker behind the cult Adult Swim short Too Many Cooks, Buddy is exactly the kind of horror comedy that could have fallen apart almost immediately. A murderous orange unicorn from a 1990s-style children’s television show sounds like a great five-minute joke. Stretching that premise into a feature film is another story.

Somehow, Kelly makes it work.

The movie introduces audiences to It’s Buddy!, an impossibly upbeat children’s program hosted by Buddy, a towering orange unicorn voiced by Keegan-Michael Key. Buddy sings, dances and teaches his young friends important lessons, all while surrounded by the type of talking furniture, puppets and colorful characters that would have felt perfectly at home on television three decades ago.

Then one of the children stops playing along.

That is when Buddy begins revealing what kind of movie it really is.

Buddy [credit: BoulderLight Pictures]

As Buddy’s cheerful personality becomes increasingly threatening, Freddy (Delaney Quinn) and the other children begin questioning the world around them. Their attempt to escape Buddy’s increasingly dangerous playground eventually leads beyond the familiar television set and into a much stranger world.

Meanwhile, Cristin Milioti plays Grace, a mother in the real world who begins experiencing the disturbing feeling that someone is missing from her life, even though she cannot quite understand who that person might be.

It would be easy for Buddy to rely entirely on the joke of turning a Barney-like children’s character into a killer. Instead, Kelly keeps expanding the idea. The movie jumps between the television program, the outside world and increasingly bizarre environments that make it feel as though audiences are slowly discovering just how large Buddy’s nightmare actually is.

The production design is a huge part of why it works. It’s Buddy! genuinely looks like something pulled from a VHS tape sitting in a box since 1997. The cheap-looking sets, overly enthusiastic songs, goofy characters and dated television production aren’t merely background details. They are essential to the movie’s personality.

And once the violence begins, that artificial happiness makes everything happening on screen considerably more disturbing.

Keegan-Michael Key is particularly effective as Buddy. He never needs to completely abandon the character’s upbeat children’s-host personality to become frightening. In fact, Buddy is often at his creepiest when he is desperately trying to maintain that smile and convince everyone that they are still having fun.

Buddy [credit: BoulderLight Pictures]

The supporting cast is equally game for the insanity. Patton Oswalt voices a talking backpack named Strappy, while Michael Shannon appears as the cowboy puppet Willie. Topher Grace also stars alongside Milioti, but it is young Delaney Quinn who gives the movie much of its heart as Freddy.

Most importantly, Buddy understands exactly what kind of movie it wants to be.

This is not restrained horror. It is strange, bloody, absurd and intentionally ridiculous. Kelly throws children’s television, slasher horror, dark comedy and surrealism into the same blender and rarely seems interested in asking whether he has gone too far.

Buddy [credit: BoulderLight Pictures]

That commitment is what makes the movie so much fun.

Not every gag lands, and there are moments when Buddy threatens to stretch its central joke beyond its limits. But whenever the movie begins feeling comfortable, Kelly usually introduces another bizarre character, disturbing revelation or wonderfully ridiculous piece of violence to pull audiences back into Buddy’s world.

There is also something surprisingly effective underneath all the blood and comedy. Buddy plays with the strange relationship adults have with the television shows they loved as children. Looking back, some of those programs were genuinely bizarre. Giant creatures demanded participation, characters stared directly into the camera waiting for children to answer them and everyone repeatedly insisted that viewers were their friends.

Buddy simply asks what happens when one of those characters actually means it.

The answer is one of the strangest horror comedies of the year.

Buddy isn’t interested in reinventing horror. It just takes an incredibly fun idea and commits to it with enough creativity, nostalgia and unapologetic weirdness to make the whole thing work.

You may never look at a friendly children’s television mascot quite the same way again.

Days of our Lives 2-Week Spoilers Sept 14-25: Marlena Shaken as Johnny Gets Cornered

Published

on

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) - Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman)

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the next two weeks starting September 14th with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) terrified because her daughter Belle Black (Martha Madison) is in over her head and taking big risks. Plus, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is trapped and isn’t going to be able to run from his lies much longer.

Also, during the next two weeks of September 14-25, we’ll see Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) winning in Monte Carlo. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) getting more suspicious when things don’t add up, and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) is sick of it.

Days of our Lives: Marlena Confides in Julie

Monday, September 14th on Days of Our Lives, we’ve got Marlena making a confession to her good friend Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). And Marlena compares the chess set to Pandora’s box. And it might literally be because Belle and Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) find a box over in Italy. They are poking around a home and they don’t know it, but they are not alone.

So, Chad opens up a mysterious looking box while Belle is looking on and smiling. Dante Vitali, Sydney DiMera (Sidney Malakeh), and Philip start playing their high-stakes poker game. Philip’s going to meet and shake hands with Sami’s fiancée. And then once the game begins, Philip looks nervous because he’s got so much at stake. Also this week, Tristan Roland debuts as Otto. He may be a henchman. We’ll see.

DOOL Spoilers: Holly Needs Tate

Tuesday, September 15th on Days of Our Lives, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) needs Tate Black‘s (Leo Howard) help, and this may have to do with Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler), who obviously hates her. Philip and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) celebrate the rewards of a big risk. So, it looks like Philip won at the poker table, but not enough, and he tries a Hail Mary move and makes a huge bet at the roulette table. It pays off big.

And then Gabi and Philip are celebrating on a big pile of cash on their hotel room bed. Hopefully Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) holds off on closing on the house until Philip’s back. Xander gets together with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to compare their findings as they keep looking for evidence against EJ. And the pressure is on Johnny to do something, but he really doesn’t want to betray his dad. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Brady consider cornering Johnny and forcing him to do the right thing.

Days of our Lives: Theo Suspicious of Johnny

Wednesday, September 16th on Days of Our Lives. Theo’s suspicions of his cousin Johnny grow. Theo knows that Johnny’s hiding something big. Steve and Brady put their heads together to see what else they can uncover on EJ and the chorus. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) contemplates her future. She’s only filling in at Sweet Bits while Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) is undergoing cancer treatment and of course recovering from labor and delivery.

I think it’d be pretty cool if Lani joined Black Patch since she has a law enforcement past. Xander and his ex-wife Sarah are both thinking about their past. And at some point, Sarah is going to reconsider choosing Brady. And she and Xander are going to be back on the road to a reunion. We’re on the countdown to that.

Thursday, September 17th on Days of Our Lives. Belle’s suggestion gets a big no from Chad. So, Belle may want to do something risky as they follow the chess set clues. And it may be about whatever she and Chad found in that box. EJ is surprised by his daughter Sydney. Looks like she may show back up in Rome before he leaves after the poker game in Monte Carlo because it looks like EJ is going to bring Sydney home with him since we know she is headed back to Salem this very week.

And that’s good timing because Sydney is a lawyer and EJ may need a good lawyer soon. She could be a chip off the old EJ block and be devious, especially since she is also Sami’s daughter. Theo leans on Lani and confesses something to her and it may be his suspicions about EJ and Johnny.

Days of our Lives: EJ Grills Rita

Friday, September 18th on Days of Our Lives, EJ’s questioning his disloyal henchwoman, Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney), about what she’s found out about Dominic. This week, Rita looks at Stefano’s portrait and says it’s playing out as you planned, sir. It’s pretty clear that Rita’s loyalties turned away from EJ and Rita is now loyal to Dominic, which is why she sent him the Phoenix ring. Holly shares her feelings about Mason with Ariana. I think Holly has had about enough of being hassled by people trying to punish her for things she didn’t do. We’ve got Chad confronting Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). He already chewed her out once when he found out Lexie was in the tunnels and she knew.

So, I wonder if EJ is going to tell Chad on their trip that Cat e was ISA, trying to find out if Chad knows if she is still ISA or not. And of course, Chad doesn’t know anything, but he may have some things to say to Cat. Belle and Chad talk with Marlena once they’re back about the new clues they found. Days of our Lives: Sydney Comes Home

September 21-25 Days of Our Lives. EJ is thrilled to have his daughter Sydney in Salem. But let’s be real, EJ has his hands full with so many things. Sydney and Mason may talk and find a mutual dislike of Holly. We’ll see if they are going to introduce stepsister issues for Sydney and Holly from back when their parents were married. Johnny may break down and confess what he’s hiding, but will it be to Chanel or Theo or to Steve? Chad and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) suspect Chloe is still active in the ISA and may rat her out to EJ. We know Chad’s still mad that Cat kept the Lexie secret from him.

And Leo suspects that Cat was the one who stole and deleted the dead man switch letter that Gwen left. Remember, he’s not happy about that either. Marlena warns Belle to stop taking risks with the chess set mystery. It’s possibly dangerous. And remember, Stefano designed it for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena. And the reason behind it ties back to the mysterious Dominic who’s due in Salem soon. Rita should welcome her new boss to Salem in coming days and we’ll find out more about who Dominic Marino is because rumor has it, it is a jaw-dropping shocker.

Days of our Lives: Huge Discovery Changes Lives

Then we’ve got some fall spoilers for Days of Our Lives. Chad and Belle’s clue sleuthing leads to a discovery that changes both of their families forever. This will have a huge impact on Salem for years and years to come. Also, a stranger’s arrival shakes up Salem and it ties to several of the story arcs and this character is going to shake things up. Looks like it’ll be Dominic and actually Dante may be a red herring.

Also, EJ’s plan to do Xander, Philip, and the whole Kiriakis family dirty is going to result in them rebuilding their former empire from the ashes. They’re going to come together as a family to fight against EJ, and Xander and Philip will be at the forefront. EJ’s feelings for Cat grow and hers seem to grow as well, but she’s been playing EJ and both of them are keeping secrets from each other.

Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) doubles down on her game as Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein)  gets more suspicious of her. We’ll see how Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) handles this and whether Joy is really paralyzed. Alex has a surprise for Joy just when she thinks she’s gotten away with everything.

Jennifer Aniston never fails to stun Us with her hair, skin and outfits, but this time, her nails caught our eye first. She was seen out and about with a Japanese manicure, a technique that makes nails appear so shiny that they’re impossible to ignore. We found an all-in-one kit to get the look — and it’s only $30 on Amazon.

Earlier this month, Aniston was spotted filming The Morning Show with sleek natural-looking nails that screamed ‘quiet luxury.’ That nail style comes together effortlessly, thanks to the magic of a Japanese manicure. It involves shaping the nails, buffing the surface and finishing with a nourishing conditioning treatment — no polishes or UV lamps involved. This three-piece Amazon kit comes with everything you need to get the healthy, pearlescent manicure look.

This Onsen Secret Nail Care Kit includes a nail file, nail buffer and conditioning cuticle serum. Use the nail file to shape and the buffer to smooth nail beds without any stripping, leaving your nails with a clean and elegant appearance. End your routine with the cuticle serum, and your nails will garner compliments from across the street, guaranteed.

Not only does the conditioning serum give your nails a mega-polished look, but it can also make them stronger, thanks to a lineup of rice bran oil, aloe vera gel, seaweed extract and minerals from a Hokkaido, Japan hot spring. It’s no wonder some shoppers are “throwing away” their other expensive products for this rich treatment.

“In less than ten minutes, they went from ridged and dull to smooth and glowing with a nice sheen,” one Amazon reviewer wrote. “At age 72, I’ve finally found a nail care regimen that I not only can live with but which really shows good results.”
