New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has died following a battle with brain cancer. He was 45.

“He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished,” Gilbert’s wife, Lisa Cimorelli, wrote in an Instagram statement shared on Sunday, September 20, announcing her husband died earlier that day in his sleep. “We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went.”

Cimorelli, 32, was particularly grateful that her loved ones were present at the time of Gilbert’s death.

“The amount of visitors that crowded the hospital lobby at a moment’s notice is a testament to how beloved and cherished Chad was, and always will be,” she wrote. “He was a legendary musician, but his favorite accomplishment was being a husband and father. His biggest dreams came true.”

She concluded, “Rest in peace, Chad. We love you forever ❤️.”

Gilbert, who is survived by his wife and 5-year-old daughter Lily, was a founding member of the beloved rock band, which currently features lead vocalist Jordan Pundik, bassist Ian Grushka and drummer Cyrus Bolooki. (Former member Steve Klein left the band in 2013.)

“Chad’s guitar playing, songwriting, humor, and relentless drive helped shape New Found Glory for nearly three decades,” the band wrote in a separate statement on Sunday. “Through more than a dozen albums, endless tours around the world, and more accolades than we ever could have imagined, Chad challenged all of us to grow as musicians, performers, and human beings.”

The obituary concluded, “While we are devastated to lose him, we are so grateful for the incredible life he lived, the memories we shared, and the brotherhood we had. His influence will always be part of New Found Glory and his spirit will be felt on every stage we stand on, with every note we play.”

Just seven months earlier, Gilbert announced that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

“On February 20th, I played a show in Nashville and was struggling to control the movements of my left hand,” Gilbert, who previously battled liver cancer in 2021, wrote via Instagram in March. “My left leg was getting weaker by the day and I started stumbling and falling at times. On the 23rd, I was taken to the ER where a CT scan showed three new tumors had appeared in my brain.”

Gilbert revealed that he underwent “successful brain surgery” to remove the located tumors later that month.

“My recovery has been bumpy at times but I’m feeling much better now and getting stronger by the day,” he wrote. “Thankful to everyone who’s checked in on me and helped my family during this lengthy and challenging journey.”

‘Colony’ Weaves a Web of Suspense and Deception Throughout Its Run

As Colony progresses, it starts unveiling twists that radically upend the series. Will hunts for the Resistance, but doesn’t know his wife, Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies), is working with them to spy on the Hosts’ collaborators. The Season 2 premiere, “Eleven Thirteen”, reveals that certain people in power knew that the Hosts were coming and were more than willing to sell out the human race to hold onto their power. But the biggest twist involves the Hosts themselves. In Season 3, it’s revealed that they‘re at war with another alien race implied to be deadlier than they are, and their invasion of Earth is an attempt to cull the weak so they have a stronger fighting force.

This makes Colony an intense but incredible watch, which also makes its cancellation all the more upsetting. According to series co-creator/showrunner Carlton Cuse, the series was meant to last for five or six seasons, culminating in a full-scale battle between humanity and the Hosts. Josh Holloway also said Will would have undergone a major transformation if Colony had gone through with Season 4, as the Hosts would have turned him into a super soldier. “I told them, ‘You got to show an alien soon,’” Holloway said in a later interview with Esquire. “But we were a little late.”

Colony might have lasted for three seasons, but it gathered a loyal fanbase in the process. Among those fans were prolific author Stephen King, who called the series “smart, suspenseful, subversive” and “thought-provoking.” Another fan was George R.R. Martin, who actually loved Colony so much that he reached out to co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal to work on House of the Dragon. On his personal blog, Martin expressed major praise for Condal’s work:

“I first met Ryan when he came to New Mexico a couple of years ago to shoot a pilot for a fantasy western called THE SIXTH GUN, based on the comic book. He’s a helluva strong writer, and a huge fan of A SONG OF ICE & FIRE, Dunk & Egg, and Westeros in general. I’ve loved working with him, and if the Seven Gods and HBO are kind, I hope to keep on working with him for years to come on this new successor show.”

Condal has since made House of the Dragon one of HBO’s biggest hits, with a fourth and final season slated to release in 2028. Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, is publicly addressing former brother-in-law King Charles III’s rare response to his book accusations.

“Well, it’s not every day you’re gaslit by a king, but I was really upset with that because I thought it was very, not only condescending, but not straight,” Spencer, 62, told ABC News’ Maggie Rulli in a Sunday, September 20, interview on Good Morning America. “What I said is straight and true, and what did they come back with? That.”

In a recent excerpt of his upcoming memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, Spencer claimed that Charles, now 77, allegedly sounded elated after Diana died in 1997 at the age of 36 following a devastating car crash in Paris. According to the earl, the now-king reportedly said “we’ll forget [Diana] soon enough” in the wake of the beloved princess’ untimely death, which left her two sons — Prince William and Prince Harry — without their mom.

William, now 45, and Harry, now 42, were just 15 and 12, respectively, at the time of their mother’s death and walked in her state funeral procession with their father and uncle.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, and it was a collective family decision to do that,” William recalled of the memorial in the 2017 BBC documentary Diana: Seven Days. “It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. We were overwhelmed by how many people turned out, it was just incredible. There was that balance between duty and family, and that’s what we had to do.”

Charles, who was married to Diana from 1981 to 1996, did not publicly address the accusations himself, but allowed Buckingham Palace to issue a statement on his behalf.

“While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgement and color memory in ways others do not recognize even many years after such a loss,” a spokesperson for the palace told Us earlier this week.

Spencer, for his part, noted that the statement itself felt particularly eye-opening.

“It doesn’t say he didn’t say it either. That’s what I found interesting,” he quipped. “I was really shocked, actually.”

Spencer revealed in a separate interview that he does not have a relationship with any members of the British monarchy nor is he interested in cultivating any.

If you’re a fan of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” you know exactly who Jayson is. You also know, what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas.

A Chippendales dancer and host of the show for more than nine years, Jayson was featured in a few episodes of the hit Hulu reality show and hosted their live Las Vegas event in 2025. Chippendales was featured in an episode of “Mormon Wives” in season 1, another one in season 2 (the Halloween party turned brawl/husband Chippendales routine), as well as in TikToks with Jen and Zac Affleck when they returned to the show for what Jen called “exposure therapy.” Jayson also hosted “Mormon Wives” live “Unholy Tea” event in Las Vegas in 2025.

Fans of the show will clearly remember the Halloween party turned brawl where the cops showed up. Some might wonder if that was all staged or actually real, and Jayson is putting that curiosity to rest.

“There was drama. I can say that in season 2, the Halloween party episode, when we’re ready to go down and surprise them with a performance, and the big fight breaks out and the cops all show up, that’s all real,” Jayson shared. “None of it was actually planned and I was actually the only representative of the company that was in the house during the party.”

When the fight broke out, Jayson made sure to stay far from the action, and revealed what he was doing during the insanity.

“I was locked in the bathroom, upstairs by myself peeking out the window watching all the action and the fighting happening from the front yard,” he said. “That’s something you didn’t get to see. It looks like all of that happened very quickly but little old me was just hidden in the bathroom, hiding upstairs looking out the window like what is going on out there?”

Jen Affleck Returned To Chippendales Off Camera And Brought Husband Zac With Her

While Zac had a lot to say about Jen being at Chippendales during Season 1, somehow, she got him to do some “exposure therapy” and join her at the show off camera. They documented the experience on TikTok with a few videos. 

When asked how that all went down, Jayson shared there was “a lot of growth in their relationship.” 

“There was a lot of growth in their relationship, a lot of communication happened to kind of bring them to the place to come back to see the show together, and you know, every couple is different, to break down those boundaries and work through those situations to feel comfortable,” he told The Blast. “I think it was a great improvement for them in their relationship. I think they’re both great people. It was really fun to come back and film some TikToks and things with them before the show.”

Jayson said they all still keep in touch and will check in with each other on Instagram, but ultimately, he’s happy that they were able to “move over that hump in their relationship and get back to a positive place.” 

Jayson Had A Hand In ‘Unholy Tea’

In June 2025, Jayson had the opportunity to reunite with MomTok for a prominent off camera event in front of a live audience when the girls brought “Unholy Tea” to Las Vegas.

“Honestly, it was really awesome. It was awesome to see them on a different level outside of the filming, kind of stripping away the cameras and stripping away the madness of what the show is, to have them in that state where they are just humans and they are just living their lives, and kind of being able to speak and ask them questions that were kind of breaking down the walls, the barriers of television, and getting to know them on more a sentimental level which was really cool,” Jayson told The Blast.

“I think they’re all amazing, the husbands are great and obviously reality TV paints the picture that it does but working with them on that level was really cool to see and to experience.”

Carrot Top’s legal team has accused singer Brian Evans of demanding $500,000 while indicating that a sexually explicit recording involving the comedian could be placed on a public court docket. Evans has denied threatening to release any recording in exchange for money, creating sharply conflicting accounts of what the communication represented.

The legal dispute emerged publicly as Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, remained hospitalized in Las Vegas. Reports have characterized the hospitalization as following an alleged suicide attempt, but Thompson’s representative has only confirmed that he is recovering and receiving care.

According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail, Thompson’s attorney, Ronnie Bitman, raised the allegations in a September 3 filing in Broward County, Florida.

The filing reportedly included an email from Evans discussing sexually explicit material involving Thompson and the possibility of placing it on a USB drive submitted to a public court docket. “Given the existing posture of the case and the coverage already in print, I expect the press will report the motion and will use its own imagination about what the USB is,” Evans wrote.

Evans maintained that he was describing the potential consequences of filing material publicly rather than making a threat. “That is a foreseeable fact about third-party reporting of a public docket. It is not a threat,” he wrote, adding that he does “not control the public docket” and does “not control the press.”

The email allegedly stated that $500,000 should be delivered “in immediately available funds” for “resolution of all claims against Scott Thompson….”

The documents did not definitively establish whether the communication constituted an improper demand or a settlement proposal connected to the litigation.

Thompson’s attorneys rejected the characterization of the email as a routine settlement discussion. “This is not settlement communication,” the legal team wrote. “On its face it is a malicious threat to expose Thompson to disgrace, and to expose a secret affecting him, with intent thereby to extort money under the guise of litigation conduct.”

The allegation represents Thompson’s legal team’s interpretation of the correspondence and has not been established as fact in a final court ruling.

Evans, who is representing himself, denied attempting to trade his silence for a payment. “I never threatened, ever, to post any video anywhere in exchange for a settlement,” he told the Daily Mail.

Evans also insisted that it is “not the black and white story portrayed.”

Neither the available reporting nor the statements from Thompson’s representative established a direct connection between the legal dispute and the comedian’s hospitalization.

Thompson’s Representative Points To A Federal Court Ruling

Thompson’s representative, Jami Schlicher, cited a separate federal court ruling involving Evans when responding to the allegations. “A federal court recently declared Mr. Evans a ‘vexatious litigant’ and described his filings as ‘serial’ and ‘spurious,’” Schlicher said. “In dismissing one of his cases with prejudice, the court went even further, stating: ‘It appears this entire case is designed to harass Defendants.’ The court’s findings and Mr. Evans’s litigation record speak for themselves.”

Daily Mail reported that a September 4 filing from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida stated that Evans had brought at least 15 cases without an attorney in that district since 2025 and that they appeared frivolous.

Being designated a vexatious litigant can result in restrictions on a person’s ability to make additional filings without court permission. However, the designation does not independently resolve every allegation raised in a separate lawsuit.

Carrot Top Is Recovering In The Hospital

Schlicher emphasized that Thompson’s immediate priority is his health. She said Thompson “is currently recovering, surrounded by his family and those closest to him” and “His focus is on his health and recovery, and we ask that his privacy be respected at this time.”

PEOPLE independently confirmed through Thompson’s representative that the comedian was hospitalized and recovering, but the representative did not publicly disclose the reason for his hospitalization.

Thompson had been scheduled to perform at the Luxor Las Vegas on Friday, but the show was canceled. His Saturday performance was also reportedly called off while he continued receiving care. The Luxor issued a statement expressing relief that the longtime performer was recovering and wishing him strength. Thompson has headlined at the Las Vegas resort since 2005.

The star appeared on the “Hayu Presents…” podcast in August, admitting that her river of knowledge about the celebrity industry has never run dry, but she is lagging on finding who to trust.

She described herself as a sweet person who once let anyone in, but over the years has learned to read people and understand their true intentions, even when they aren’t telling her.

“Yeah, also just not to take life so seriously. I think that, you know, growing up and just having so much fame at such an early age can be traumatizing sometimes,” Hilton continued during the podcast session. 

The hotel heiress also knows better than ever not to let people’s verdicts dictate her happiness, and instead to find contentment in the things she can touch, see, and feel in her life, per Independent.

The reality TV alum had also discussed another sensitive part of her life on the podcast, referring to a story she shared about the abuse she went through in boarding school and how it shaped her journey through Hollywood.

Describing the situation as traumatizing and comparing it to the scrutiny she went through in Hollywood, Hilton noted that surviving the horrific boarding school bullying left her with the reassurance that she could withstand anything.

During an appearance at the Press Association earlier in the year, Hilton recalled the harassment she faced from the media and the lasting impact that cruelty had on her and other female celebrities.

She acknowledged that changing trends and timelines won’t leave room for such comments these days, but the media needs to take more responsibility to make the tabloid space more positive.

A New York Fashion Week runway can take months to build, but Lil Tay needed only seconds to throw one off script.

The 19-year-old unexpectedly stepped onto CI Swimwear’s runway at Sony Hall on September 12 while another model was mid-walk. Roughly 18 seconds later, security escorted her away.

Now, Creators Inc. founder Andy Bachman is exclusively telling The Blast what he thought of the disruption, and his reaction isn’t entirely what one might expect.

Footage of the incident shows Lil Tay joining a model wearing a metallic gold two-piece on the runway. Dressed in a pink top, white wide-leg pants and a light-colored fur piece, the influencer posed before continuing down the catwalk as security approached.

Bachman acknowledged the work that Tay’s surprise appearance interrupted.

“Fashion shows may look effortless, but months of work go into every second on that runway,” he told The Blast. “When someone inserts themselves into the show without permission, it can disrupt the models, production team and designers who worked incredibly hard to make that moment happen.”

Lil Tay’s Runway Presence Still Left An Impression

Despite the disruption, Lil Tay apparently left an impression on Bachman. 

“That said, Lil Tay walked out there with complete confidence and immediately owned the room,” Bachman continued. “She undeniably has the presence for a runway — we would just prefer she get booked before stepping onto it next time.”

Bachman’s latest remarks expand on his initial reaction to the incident. He previously told TMZ that while he didn’t “condone spoiling months of preparation,” Tay “mogged the entire room.”

His suggestion then was similarly simple: “She should consider a catwalk, preferably with a booking next time.”

Lil Tay’s Runway Crash Came With An Ironic Twist

The choice of runway made Tay’s uninvited walk particularly ironic. Creators are exactly the people Bachman has been trying to bring into fashion.

During Miami Swim Week in May, CI Swimwear featured internet personalities including Sophie Rain, Piper Rockelle, Alina Rose, Summer Iris, Mariella Gregoria and Virginia Sanhouse.

Rain’s debut demonstrated how quickly an online audience can follow a creator into a different industry, with footage of her first CI Swimwear walk going on to attract more than 40 million views.

“I think people are beginning to understand that creators can cross into fashion, acting, business, or anything else we work hard at,” Rain told Where Is The Buzz in July.

Bachman agrees with the broader idea, but says there’s still a line.

“Creators have earned their place in fashion, but there is a difference between breaking traditional industry rules and interfering with someone else’s production,” he told The Blast. “We support bold personalities and unexpected moments, provided they are coordinated and respectful of everyone involved.”

That creator-first philosophy stretches beyond Bachman’s runways.

Earlier this year, Creators Inc. helped “American Pie” star Shannon Elizabeth launch a direct-to-fan page. Bachman said she grossed seven figures in her first week, while Variety reported that sources put the figure above $1.2 million.

The company’s growing Hollywood presence has also included Jaime Pressly and Donna Mills.

Meanwhile, Denise Richards and Carmen Electra came together through Creators Inc. for their first on-camera collaboration.

“They’ve each transcended traditional Hollywood and, because they’re forward thinkers, adapted to the creator economy,” Bachman previously said of the pair.

It’s a philosophy that makes Tay’s stunt almost perfectly on-brand, except for the missing invitation.

Lil Tay Has Been Building Her Next Act Through Music

Tay, meanwhile, has been finding other ways to expand beyond the viral persona that made her famous as a child.

The self-proclaimed “youngest flexer of the century” returned to music in 2023 with “Sucker 4 Green” after spending years largely outside the public eye.

As The Blast previously reported, the comeback followed the bizarre false death announcement posted to her Instagram account that year. Tay later said the episode disrupted plans to restart her music career.

She has since continued moving forward with that comeback. In 2026, Tay released “Black Sheep” and “Deal Wit It,” followed by “Brag Different” in July.

Her unexpected NYFW appearance now adds fashion, unofficially, at least, to the list of spaces where she’s trying to make an impression.
