Typically, body products are for the body, and face products are for the face. However, Jane Seymour is breaking the rules with a particular body cream, and she has experienced serious benefits. In an interview with InStyle, Seymour revealed that a little experimentation led to stunning skin.

Seymour has been an ambassador of Body Firm for more than 10 years. “At first I went, ‘What’s that, like another body lotion?’ But it wasn’t, and I didn’t want to believe it. I thought, well, that’s just hype. But I thought well, due diligence, and I just used it,” Seymour said about the Crépe Erase Body Repair Treatment. She even used it on her face since the brand hadn’t released its facial product at the time, and she said her face “looked better the next morning” and stayed “plump and smooth.”

This treatment has some key ingredients that allow it to focus on crepey skin for firmer, more moisturized results. The TruFirm Technology is an exclusive blend of plant extracts to promote elastin production, and the blend of 12 antioxidants, essential lipids and fatty acids, called 12 Super Hydrators, improves hydration and targets the skin’s moisture barrier. So, your skin will be graced with olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, squalene, vitamin E and glycerides.

To get the most out of this body repair treatment, the brand recommends massaging it in an upward, circular motion for one minute or until fully absorbed. If you have dry skin, you can use it twice a day. The rich formula will work to deliver serious hydration exactly where you need it.

Real-life users agree that this body cream works wonders on both the body and face, so it’ll be a serious workhorse in your medicine cabinet.

“The product is rich, fragrance-free (perfect), a high-level moisturizer and does an impressive job of smoothing and tightening skin to a surprising degree. In addition, the jar contains a VERY generous portion for the cost and only a small amount is needed,” a verified purchaser said.

“I tested it on one leg and used my existing cream on the other leg. The difference was undeniable! The Crépe Erase leg was smooth and sleek with no greasy residue! I then applied it all over my arms, legs and chest area, and it works like a DREAM,” one happy shopper wrote.

It can be tempting to buy every beauty product that makes big promises, but with the testimonies of Seymour and real-life purchasers, this is one cream actually worth the cost.

TMZ Founder Reacts to Nancy Guthrie Fake Ransom Notes Report

Published

Savannah Guthries Mom Nancy Guthrie Is Missing in Arizona What to Know About the Ongoing Search

TMZ founder Harvey Levin is weighing in after a report emerged that three ransom notes sent to the website and other media outlets in connection with Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance were deemed fake by the FBI.

Reuters reported on Tuesday, June 29, that the FBI has dismissed three notes, including two received by TMZ, in the months since Nancy, the mother of Today show cohost Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona, on February 1.

One of the notes received by TMZ and local Tucson outlets in February demanded millions of dollars in cryptocurrency for Nancy’s return. Another note received by TMZ, which the outlet reported on June 26, claimed to know the identities of Guthrie’s suspected abductors. The anonymous sender also claimed to have footage of the “main guy” in the kidnapping and Nancy on the day she allegedly died, which they would share in exchange for money.

TMZ did not receive a second February note that claimed that Nancy had died and made no demand for money. The contents of that note, received by Tucson news outlets, were first reported in late June.

Questions still remain after Today show host Savannah Guthrie‘s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the news on February 1, 2026, sharing a missing person report via X. Nancy was described as a “vulnerable adult” who was last seen “at her residence” within Arizona’s Catalina Foothills area on the […]

In a video published by TMZ on Wednesday, July 1, Levin, 75, claimed to have spoken to an FBI official who told him that “it is more likely than not that the two ransom notes are real,” referring to the two notes received by TMZ and local Tucson news stations in February.

Levin added, “This person said, ‘They are more legitimate than not.’ They have not determined it is for sure real, but they have not determined it is for sure fake.”

Levin said that the official told him that “it is less likely” letters received by TMZ asking for money in exchange for information “are real.” He reiterated that the FBI has “not discounted that either.”

As for the conflicting Reuters report, which cited an unnamed FBI official, Levin said that he was told by his FBI source, “This is a big organization, and there are multiple agents on this case. If you talk to all of them, their opinions are going to vary, so it depends on who you talk to.”

The FBI Phoenix field office, which is investigating Nancy’s disappearance, said in a statement on Wednesday, “The FBI and its task force partners have received several ransom notes over the course of this investigation. Some have been deemed to be extortion attempts without legitimacy. Other ransom demands may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such.”

“This case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case. The FBI has and will continue to offer all assistance possible in the investigation — however, local authorities remain the lead.”

Local sheriff Chris Nanos of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Arizona said in his own statement, “Throughout this investigation, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has received information regarding potential ransom notes related to the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. Every tip and lead is taken seriously and is forwarded directly to our detectives, who continue to work in coordination with the FBI.”

“Any questions regarding alleged ransom notes should be directed to the FBI,” Nanos added.

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley on the red carpet

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are set to reunite on screen for the first time since starring together in “The Vampire Diaries.”

The former co-stars, whose characters shared a beloved romantic storyline in the hit supernatural drama, will collaborate again in the upcoming Hulu series “You Deserve to Know.”

The project also marks a reunion with Kapital Entertainment founder Matt Kaplan, with whom both Dobrev and Wesley have previously worked on separate projects.

More than eight years after “The Vampire Diaries” ended, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are set to reunite on screen in a brand-new television project, according to Deadline.

The former co-stars have signed on to lead “You Deserve to Know,” a Hulu adaptation of Aggie Blum Thompson’s 2025 novel of the same name.

Written by “Grand Hotel” creator Brian Tanen, the series follows three suburban couples whose close-knit friendships begin to unravel after one of the husbands is murdered.

Dobrev stars as Gwen, while Wesley takes on the role of Scott. Their characters are neighbors who end up on opposite sides of a murder investigation, forcing them into an increasingly tense, high-stakes conflict.

A premiere date and trailer have not yet been announced and will likely be revealed after production wraps.

In addition to starring in the series, Dobrev and Wesley will serve as executive producers alongside creator Brian Tanen, author Aggie Blum Thompson, Unwell’s Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan, Mina Lefevre, Paul Kim, and Kendall Boucher.

Also joining the project are Kapital Entertainment’s Jaiden Kaplan and Dylan Hammalian, representing one of the studios behind the series.

Both Dobrev and Wesley also share a history with Kaplan. Dobrev previously starred in the CBS comedy “Fam,” playing the lead role of recently engaged Clem.

Meanwhile, Wesley appeared in both seasons of “Tell Me a Story,” first as bartender and low-level drug dealer Eddie Longo, and later as Tucker Reed, an aspiring writer with a dark secret.

How Their Chemistry Won Wesley The Original Role

When “The Vampire Diaries” was first being cast, Dobrev was selected to play Elena Gilbert. Producers then began searching for an actor to portray her love interest, Stefan Salvatore, placing a strong emphasis on finding someone who shared undeniable chemistry with her.

Although many actors auditioned for the role, Wesley ultimately secured the part after impressing producers with the chemistry he shared with Dobrev during casting.

“It’s the kind of thing where you can see it on screen, and you get an energy from the room that I maybe didn’t have a barometer on, but he was absolutely the right choice and the best person for the role,” Dobrev said in an interview.

Looking back on their time on “The Vampire Diaries,” Dobrev said she could not imagine anyone else playing Stefan Salvatore. She added that she was especially grateful Wesley was cast, as working together ultimately led to the close friendship they share today.

“I couldn’t imagine anyone else being Stefan, and I’m so grateful that they chose him because now he’s one of my closest friends and we have a friendship that will last forever — vampire pun intended,” she said.

True to her words, Dobrev has often demonstrated the close friendship they share by posting tributes to her former co-star on social media, including heartfelt messages on his birthday and other special occasions.

Ironically, the pair did not get along during the early days of filming, as Dobrev revealed on the “Directionally Challenged” podcast in 2019.

“I respected Paul Wesley, I didn’t like Paul Wesley,” the actress said. “We totally clashed [the] first couple years in terms of just getting on each other’s nerves, and then developed this wonderful friendship,” Dobrev revealed.

At the time, she also said that, out of all her former “The Vampire Diaries” co-stars, Wesley had become the one she was closest to.

What To Remember Before Rebecca Ferguson’s Apple TV Sci-Fi Returns

Published

on

silo-season-3-juliette-nichols-rebecca-ferguson

After 18 months, it’s now mere hours until Apple TV’s critically acclaimed sleeper hit Silo returns with a vengeance on July 3. With the trailer teasing Juliette Nichols’ (Rebecca Ferguson) amnesia as well as a past timeline that depicts how exactly the world ended, Season 3 is venturing into even bolder territory for one of streaming’s most thoughtful and painstakingly assembled genre series. Given the major events, reveals, and Season 3 set-ups Graham Yost delivered during Silo‘s sophomore season, a refresher is more than warranted.

Juliette’s Time Inside Another Silo Uncovers Giant Secrets in ‘Silo’ Season 2

Minutes after Season 1’s cliffhanger finale, Juliette approaches the closest silo. Thousands of corpses surround its exterior, but she manages to enter just as her environmental suit’s limited oxygen runs out. Exploring, she finds the structure abandoned aside from Solo (Steve Zahn), an outgoing but nervous man driven by an overwhelming need to keep the vault door to the IT department locked at all costs. He wants a friend; Juliette wants to return home as soon as possible, worried about the potentially rebellious ramifications of her failed cleaning. She undergoes multiple dangerous challenges to retrieve the parts necessary to assemble a new, functional environmental suit.

During her time with Solo, Juliette learns humanity created 50 different silos before their dystopian days. Solo’s is designated as Silo 17, and Juliette’s is Silo 18. Silo 17 rebelled when Solo was a child, an event partially shown in Episode 1’s opening scene. His father, Russell Conroy (Nick Haverson), the IT leader, locked his son inside the password-sealed Vault to protect him. When Russell refused to surrender the code, a raider executed him. Witnessing his father’s murder traumatized Solo into agoraphobia and a desperate commitment to honor Russell’s instructions — which weren’t to protect the Vault’s resources, but to protect his son. Solo, born as Jimmy, also adopted another resident’s name to avoid the constant painful reminders.

‘Silo’ Season 3 Turns Rebecca Ferguson’s Apple TV Sci-Fi Into Essential Viewing | Review

‘Silo’ is cementing itself as one of the most defining sci-fi dramas of the streaming era.

As it turns out, the pair aren’t as alone as Juliette presumes. Three young adults — Audrey (Georgina Sadler), Rick (Orlando Norman), Hope (Sara Hazemi) — and two young children have been hiding from Juliette’s view and consider her intrusion a threat. They’ve been seeking revenge against Jimmy for a long time; he killed their parents when they tried to break into the Vault. It was a frightened act of self-defense for him, a need for the food-starved parents, and a tragedy for the children. Juliette talks sense into everyone by sharing her experiences with loss. Eventually, Jimmy opens the Vault doors for everyone. Combined with handing Juliette a sturdy environmental suit, it’s his clearest sign of growth and trust. Juliette promises to try her best to come back to her newfound friend.

Before Juliette departs, Jimmy frantically recalls his childhood memories about the Safeguard protocol — a pipe designed to flood any silo with poisonous gas, should all other anti-rebellion measures fail. His parents had capped the pipe and prevented Silo 17’s premeditated slaughter. Armed with vital knowledge, Juliette races back to Silo 17. Mechanical sees her arrival on the screens and rejoices, although they’re puzzled by her note warning them to stay inside. Mayor Bernard Holland (Tim Robbins), her would-be executioner, stops her just past the main doors. Their tense stand-off reaches a surprising truce, only for the incinerator room to activate while they’re both trapped inside.

Silo 17 Declares an Uprising in ‘Silo’ Season 2

Concurrent with Juliette’s quests, her public refusal to clean and potential survival have indeed sparked Silo 18 into a slow-burning but organized uprising. Shirley Campbell (Remmie Milner), Juliette’s closest friend, Knox (Shane McRae), the head of Mechanical, and Juliette’s long-time mentor, Martha Walker (Harriet Walter), lead Mechanical in strategically plotting their offensive and defensive strikes. Shirley and Knox grow convinced their silo is no stranger to frequent revolutions or receiving the blame, manufactured or otherwise. (Their combative tension eventually morphs into an excellent kiss, too.)

As for the Mayor, Bernard operates with a sort of composed panic. He races to crush descent according to the instructions laid out in the Pact, an ancient document that doubles as a religious text. Their primary edict: make Mechanical the scapegoat for all rebellious activity. Bernard’s psychological and brute force tactics include launching a false flag attack, trying to force compliance through starvation, and building a barricade between Up Top and the Down Deep. His cruelest moves, however, are poisoning Judge Mary Meadows (Tanya Moodie) despite their former closeness and his own reluctance, framing Knox and Shirley for Meadows’ murder, and using Martha’s captured ex-wife Carla McLain (Clare Perkins) to force Martha into being his spy. But Mechanical competently keeps up with his overconfidence and foils several of his plans. Once Paul Billings (Chinaza Uche), conflicted by the corruption he’s witnessed and moved by the old picture of the Blue Ridge Mountains, switches sides, Bernard seethes with rage.

Bernard also rescinds his promise to Robert Sims (Common) due to Robert’s public push to impeach Meadows. Bernard enlists IT analyst Lukas Kyle (Avi Nash) as his shadow instead. He instructs his new protégé to fix the damaged hard drive Juliette stole during Season 1, then decode its contents — a 140-year-old message penned by then-head of the IT department, Salvador Quinn. Bernard paints the silo’s routine civilian rebellions as destabilizing to humanity’s survival and reveals Judicial’s history of systematically suppressing said uprisings by lacing the water with memory-erasing drugs. Meanwhile, Robert and his wife Camille (Alexandria Riley) choose to prioritize their family’s survival by appealing to both sides of the conflict.

Mechanical’s Triumph Over Bernard Unleashes a Greater Threat in ‘Silo’ Season 2

As Mechanical launches their climactic strike, Martha plays Bernard for a fool. Due to the nature of the Down Deep’s job — i.e., working directly near the silo’s loud generator — Mechanical developed an unspoken language. She’d used their established signals to communicate her situation, and everyone played to the cameras like Bernard wanted to hear. With Bernard distracted, Deputy Hank (Billy Postlethwaite) and Juliette’s father, Dr. Pete Nichols (Iain Glen), plant a bomb on the stairs; the detonation would trap Judicial Security’s raiders below. Sneaking past the barricade cost them key equipment, and that accident cost them a life. Pete passes along his watch and a message of love for Juliette to Hank before sacrificing himself.

Lukas tracks down Quinn’s preserved copy of the Pact through one of his descendants, Terrance Penbrook (Stuart Milligan), and uses it to break the message’s encryption. He ventures to the silo’s lowest level and discovers the Algorithm AI program, as well as the revelation that made the younger Meadows resign from her position as Bernard’s shadow — the Safeguard. He passes along the knowledge to Bernard. His worldview shaken, Bernard essentially surrenders and decides to see the outside before he dies, hence his presence inside the exit-entry tunnel. Robert, Camille, and their son Anthony (Oscar Coleman) approach the Algorithm. They all want to save their Silo, but the Algorithm only agrees to speak with Camille.

As for the season’s final scene, Silo flashes back centuries earlier to an unspecified year that’s slightly different from our own, but familiar enough to pass as an average evening in Washington, D.C. A journalist named Helen (Jessica Henwick) meets Daniel (Ashley Zukerman), a Georgia congressman, in a bar. She presses him for the truth about a horrific bombing on American soil, allegedly carried out by Iranian forces. Daniel deflects her questions. As he leaves, he hands Helen a last-minute gift he’d snatched from a nearby store: the same duck-head Pez dispenser Juliette received in Season 1, and which made its way into the hands of Anthony Sims as a forbidden relic-turned-toy.

Silo Season 3 premieres July 3 on Apple TV.

Arrest Warrant Issued for Kentucky Cheerleader Laken Snelling After Manslaughter Indictment

Former college football player Blaise Taylor was convicted of killing his former girlfriend Jade Benning and her unborn child.

On Wednesday, July 1, a Nashville jury found Taylor, 30, guilty on all four counts related to the deaths of Benning and her unborn baby in 2023, per WSMV 4 News.

The athlete was convicted of second degree murder and first degree felony murder during commission of a felony in Benning’s death, as well as first degree premeditated murder and first degree felony murder during the commission of a felony for the unborn child’s death.

Later, the jury recommended a sentence of life imprisonment for the first-degree murder chargers, per WKRN. Taylor will be sentenced on September 9 for the second-degree murder charge.

Laken Snelling, a former competitive cheerleader at the University of Kentucky, has been arrested after allegedly giving birth and hiding her newborn’s body in a closet.  Snelling, 22, was initially taken into custody on August 30, 2025, after a third party called the police and reported finding an infant’s body that was “cold to the […]

Per local reports, the jury reached its guilty verdict within two hours of closing arguments concluding in the eight-day trial on Wednesday.

Taylor sat silent as the jury foreperson read out the verdict at the Davidson County Criminal Court.

Us Weekly has reached out to Taylor’s attorney and the Nashville District Attorney’s Office for comment on the verdict.

Taylor’s lawyer Letitia Quinones-Hollins told WKRN of Wednesday’s court ruling, “While we respect the jury system and the process, we must also respectfully disagree with today’s verdict and plan to appeal the decision because Blaise did not do this.”

“[Taylor] maintains that he is innocent and we will continue working to prove that,” the lawyer went on. “We understand and respect the pain that Ms. Benning’s family and friends feel over her tragic death and the death of her unborn baby, but putting an innocent man behind bars is also a tragedy.”

During the trial, the prosecution accused Taylor of administering a fatal dose of cocaine to Benning through a drink during a date night at her apartment on February 25, 2023.

Nashville Assistant District Attorney Jan Norman told the court on Wednesday, June 24, that Benning called a friend that February night to say that she feared Taylor may have spiked her drink because he did not want her to carry her pregnancy to term. (Per the prosecution, Taylor suspected the unborn child was his.)

“What did you put in my drink?” Benning demanded to know, according to friend Nijaiha Jackson. “‘I knew my drink tasted funny. You did this because you didn’t want the baby.’”

Benning died on her 25th birthday on March 6, 2023, having lost her unborn baby several days earlier on February 27, 2023. An autopsy found that Benning had 1,787 nanograms of cocaine per milliliter of blood at the time of her death.

For his part, Taylor has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to all charges. His attorneys argued at trial that Benning’s death was caused by her own alleged drug use.

Taylor played college football at Arkansas State University from 2014 to 2017 before joining Duke University as a graduate assistant coach. He later worked as a scout for the Tennessee Titans from 2021 to 2023.

Lizzo’s Album Flop Sparks Brutal Bebe Rexha Comparison

Published

on

Lizzo in a sheer gown at the BET awards

Lizzo says she has come to terms with her recent album flop, despite initially being saddened by its reception.

The singer previously criticized Atlantic Records for allegedly failing to properly promote the project. However, her apparent explanation for its poor performance has drawn pushback after netizens brought Bebe Rexha’s numbers as an indie artist into the conversation.

Lizzo said that despite the poor performance, the album, titled “B-TCH,” remains some of her “best stuff” to date.

Lizzo’s fifth studio album, “B-TCH,” did not reach the commercial heights many had expected and has recently made headlines over claims that it underperformed.

Amid the conversation surrounding the album’s performance, the singer offered a “non-PR” response during a recent appearance on the Swiftologist podcast, per NME.

“I was really stressed and really sad for a few days because this is some of my best stuff,” the rapper said on the podcast.

She added, “I had to come to terms with the fact that not only is the music industry different – we need to talk about the radio aspect – but also my relationship and my connection musically with the world is different. And I think I had to mourn that.”

Fans Question Label Argument After Sales Flop

Lizzo’s comments about her label have only intensified the conversation around her album’s poor performance, with some fans not buying the idea that promotion was the main issue.

On X, one critic brought Bebe Rexha into the debate to challenge that argument, writing, “lizzo tryna blame her album selling 2.6k on the lack of support from her label when bebe rexha just sold 20k as an indie artist.”

The comparison appears to stem from reports around Rexha’s independent album “Dirty Blonde.” While some fans rounded the figure up to 20,000, chart accounts reported that the project debuted with about 19,000 total units on the Billboard 200, after earlier projections placed it near 20,000.

Responding to a related post on X, one fan said, “Mind you Lizzo missed 200 spots,” while another added, “Not she out selling Lizzo, oh the downfall needs to be investigated.”

Following its release, Lizzo’s latest album failed to enter the UK Top 100 Albums Chart. It also posted a disappointing performance in the United States, her biggest market.

By comparison, her previous album, “Special,” debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Albums Chart following its release in 2022 and peaked at No. 6 in the UK.

Fortunately for the singer, says she received support from loved ones, including a fellow artist, as she came to terms with the album’s reception.

“Thank God for Solána [SZA], she called me and was like. ‘You’re on my mind.’ I was like, ‘Am I a failure?’ and she was like, ‘Oh my god, no!’ – she’s so sweet,” Lizzo said elsewhere on the podcast.

In her personal life, Lizzo continues to deal with a harassment lawsuit filed by former employees Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez. Some of the claims in the lawsuit have since been dismissed, including allegations that she fat-shamed the plaintiffs.

Speaking with “Today” host Craig Melvin earlier this month, the four-time Grammy winner said she could have settled the case out of court but chose to fight it because she is “not a woman who’s afraid of the truth coming out.”

“I’m not afraid to fight,” she added. “I’m really excited for all the claims to be dropped and for us all to just move forward.”

Lizzo Says Settling The Case Would Be An ‘Easy Out’

Last month, Lizzo also discussed her decision not to settle the case while promoting her album during an interview with TV personality Gayle King for “CBS Mornings.”

“I think it is an easy out,” Lizzo said about not settling. “I’m fighting the case because I know that it’s not true.”

What remains now are the sexual harassment claims, which the singer said she is ready to fight. She also said she is prepared to take the stand and testify if her accusers refuse to drop the suit.

“I would look fabulous while doing it,” the rapper joked. She added at the time, “I’m not afraid of the truth. The truth is less salacious than the headlines.”

It’s Officially the End of an Era for Henry Cavill’s 3-Part Netflix Detective Saga

Published

on

enola-holmes-3-poster.jpg

Henry Cavill came into the year hard at work filming his long-awaited Highlander reboot, which also features big stars like Russell Crowe and Dave Bautista. The movie is reportedly in the final stages of filming, expected to wrap any day now, but it’s still unclear when it will be released. For Cavill’s first project of the year, he reunited with director Guy Ritchie for In The Grey, the new action thriller co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rosamund Pike from The Wheel of Time. The film opened with mediocre reviews on its way to an underwhelming performance at the box office, but it has since gone on to find at least a small sort of redemption on VOD platforms like Prime Video. It’s even getting a new physical media release later this month.

Cavill’s second film of the year quietly dropped on Netflix yesterday, and fans around the world can’t stop talking about Enola Holmes 3. Cavill plays Sherlock Holmes in the three-part Netflix detective saga, but it’s a more unorthodox take on the story, where the signature detective and his partner, Watson (played by Himesh Patel) take a backseat to Sherlock’s younger sister, Enola. Part of the reason the Enola Holmes movies have become such a sensation is due to the casting of Millie Bobby Brown as the titular character, who is famed for her role as Eleven in Stranger Things. Reviews for Enola Holmes 3 began pouring in yesterday around the same time that the film was released, and it’s officially the lowest-rated movie in the franchise with a 70% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This might not seem like a low score, but it is when compared to the first two films, which hold scores of 91% and 93%, respectively.

Collider’s David Caballero gave the film a 5/10 in his review for the film, praising the supporting characters but citing the predictable mystery as a massive drawback. ScreenRant’s Molly Freeman aligned with Caballero’s 5/10 review with the same score, but she admits that Millie Bobby Brown’s performance as Enola Holmes has “lost its charm.” She also said it’s a great case for why “Millie Bobby Brown shouldn’t lead her own franchise.” CBR’s Rachel Leishman reviewed the film at an 8/10 clip, saying that the film finally fixed its biggest problem in allowing Enola to take center stage and step out of the shadows of her counterparts.

It’s the final moment. Everything is on the line. What do you need from your partner right now?
The last question is the most honest one.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

What Is ‘Enola Holmes 3’ About?

Netflix’s official synopsis for the third and likely final Enola Holmes movie reads as follows: “The latest installment in the adventures of the young detective sees her tackling another mystery, this time on the island nation of Malta. As Enola heads to the altar to wed Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), she learns the distressing news that Sherlock (Henry Cavill) has been kidnapped. The gumshoe is immediately on the case, all while grappling with her complicated feelings around marriage.” While it’s yet to be confirmed, all signs point to Netflix closing the door on Enola Holmes after three movies. Brown does have a new project coming to Netflix soon, though, when she reunites with her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour for a new spy thriller from the writer of Adolescence.

Taylor Swift’s Wedding Brings Major Name Change

Published

on

Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce In Brooklyn, NY

Taylor Swift is reportedly preparing for one of the biggest personal changes of her life, and it has nothing to do with music.

As anticipation builds around her lavish wedding to Travis Kelce, new details suggest the global superstar plans to embrace a more traditional path after saying “I do.”

While the billionaire singer’s professional identity isn’t going anywhere, insiders claim her private life could soon look very different once the celebrations officially begin.

Taylor Swift has spent nearly two decades turning her name into one of the most recognizable brands in entertainment. From chart-topping albums and sold-out stadium tours to merchandise and worldwide headlines, “Taylor Swift” has become synonymous with global success.

Despite that, insiders now claim the singer is ready to make a deeply personal change following her marriage to Travis Kelce.

The couple is expected to tie the knot during an elaborate multi-day celebration at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Festivities are reportedly scheduled to begin with an intimate rehearsal dinner on Thursday, July 2, followed by a larger celebration the following day, attended by roughly 1,000 guests.

According to an insider, Swift intends to become Mrs. Taylor Kelce after the ceremony, though fans shouldn’t expect to see the change reflected in her career.

“Professionally, she’ll always be Taylor Swift. The name has become one of the biggest brands in entertainment, and there’s really no reason to change that,” the insider told the Daily Mail.

Swift Views The Name Change As A Meaningful Milestone

Although her public identity will reportedly remain unchanged, sources say Taylor Swift feels strongly about adopting Kelce’s surname in her personal life.

The insider described the Grammy winner as someone who still values tradition despite her modern career, saying the decision carries emotional significance beyond paperwork.

“‘Very traditional’ Swift sees taking Kelce’s name as a ‘very meaningful step’ in their relationship,” the source shared.

They continued, “Personally, it’s a different story. Taylor is very traditional, and when it comes to marriage, she’d love to take Travis’ last name.”

The source also noted that in Swift’s personal life, the idea of taking on her future husband’s last name is something the star looks forward to.

According to the insider, Swift also believes sharing the same surname represents an important step toward building a future together. “She sees it as a meaningful step, especially knowing it would also be the family name their future children would share,” they explained.

The insider also dismissed speculation that the couple might combine or hyphenate their surnames after the wedding. Instead, sources claim that Swift and Kelce both prefer to keep things simple by sharing one family name.

“Both she and Travis think there’s something incredibly special and beautiful about sharing the same last name, even if the world will always know her professionally as Taylor Swift,” the insider revealed.

While the prospect of becoming Taylor Kelce may excite the singer personally, industry insiders insist there is no chance she will abandon the name that helped build her record-breaking career.

A second source reinforced that distinction, explaining that her legal identity and professional identity will remain separate.

“She will take his last name when they wed, but for work she will still go by Taylor Swift. Jennifer Aniston did this when she married Brad Pitt,” they said.

Months of speculation surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding recently reached a turning point after fresh activity around Madison Square Garden strongly suggested the iconic arena will host the highly anticipated celebration.

According to a report from The Blast, Swift’s longtime security team was spotted outside the venue while production crews, delivery trucks, and event staff continued transforming the building ahead of the rumored festivities.

Additional clues, including temporary street closure permits, heightened security protocols, and large-scale event preparations, only fueled confidence that the couple’s big day is imminent.

As the big day draws closer, Swift and Kelce are reportedly taking no chances with security.

As The Blast reported, the wedding is expected to come with a staggering security price tag, with claims that the couple’s police presence alone could exceed six figures.

According to the report, more than 130 members of the NYPD, including over 70 detectives and more than 50 police officers, are scheduled to work the two-day celebration at Madison Square Garden, with costs estimated to surpass $160,000.

Detectives are said to be working overtime shifts, while additional supervisors are also expected to be deployed, pushing the overall total even higher.

However, it remains unclear whether the celebrity couple will cover the security expenses themselves or if taxpayers will foot part of the bill.

Stephen King’s Near-Perfect Dystopian Masterpiece Walks Onto HBO Max Soon

Published

01587852_poster_w780.jpg

HBO has had a wildly successful year in 2026, with popular new projects coming out to satisfy fans of every possible genre. Due to it dropping just a few weeks ago, one of the first projects that immediately comes to mind is the highly anticipated third season of House of the Dragon, which is firing on all cylinders now after a divisive Season 2 conclusion. House of the Dragon Season 3 isn’t the first project out of the Game of Thrones franchise this year, though — that title belongs to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which takes place between the events of the Targaryen spin-off and the flagship show. HBO also brought back its critically acclaimed medical drama, The Pitt, for its second season. Production on Season 3 is also already underway, assuring that the show will continue to release new seasons on a swift timeline.

Like most of the other big streaming services it competes against, HBO Max has built up a massive subscriber base, not just due to its consistent output of high-quality original movies and shows, but also its vast library of older classics from its own studio and others. HBO Max recently announced another big round of movies coming soon to the platform in July, and one film that has everyone talking is The Long Walk, the harrowing dystopian thriller from 2025 inspired by the novel of the same name by Stephen King. HBO confirmed over the weekend that the film will begin streaming on July 10, meaning fans have to wait just over a week until it arrives on the platform in America next Friday.

Camp Crystal Lake · Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

  • He moves in straight lines toward his target. He doesn’t strategise, doesn’t adapt, doesn’t outsmart. He simply pursues.
  • Your ability to keep moving, use the environment, and resist the panic that freezes most victims gives you a genuine edge.
  • The Crystal Lake survivors were always the ones who stopped running in circles and started thinking about terrain, water, and distance.
  • You think like that. Which means Jason, for all his indestructibility, would face someone who simply refused to be where he expected.

Haddonfield, Illinois · Halloween

Michael Myers

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

  • But you are paying attention. You notice the shape in the window, the car parked slightly wrong, the silence where there should be sound.
  • Michael’s power lies in the invisibility of ordinary suburbia — the fact that nothing ever looks wrong until it already is.
  • Your spatial awareness and instinct to map every room, every exit, and every shadow before you need them is precisely the quality Laurie Strode had.
  • You are not a victim waiting to happen. You are someone who already suspects something is wrong — and acts on it.

Elm Street · A Nightmare on Elm Street

Freddy Krueger

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

  • You are harder to destabilise than most. You’ve faced uncomfortable truths about yourself and you haven’t looked away.
  • The survivors on Elm Street were always the ones who understood what was happening and chose to face it rather than flee from it.
  • Freddy’s greatest weakness is that his power evaporates in the presence of someone who refuses to give him the fear he feeds on.
  • Your psychological resilience — the ability to stay grounded when reality itself becomes unreliable — is exactly the quality that keeps you alive here.

Derry, Maine · It

Pennywise

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

  • The Losers Club didn’t survive because they were braver than everyone else. They survived because they faced their fears together, and faced them honestly.
  • You ask the questions others avoid. You look directly at what frightens you rather than turning away.
  • That directness — the refusal to let fear fester in the dark — is Pennywise’s worst nightmare.
  • It chose the wrong target when it chose you. You are exactly the kind of person whose fear tastes like nothing at all.

Chicago · Child’s Play

Chucky

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

  • You don’t have that gap. You take threats seriously regardless of how they present — and you never make the mistake of underestimating something because of its size or appearance.
  • Chucky relies on surprise, on the delay between recognition and response. You close that delay faster than almost anyone.
  • Your instinct to treat every unfamiliar thing with appropriate scepticism — rather than dismissing it because it seems absurd — is the exact quality that keeps you breathing.
  • Against Chucky, not laughing is already winning. You are very good at not laughing.

What Is ‘The Long Walk’ About?

The Long Walk is set in an eerie, dystopian future where a group of teenage boys from around the world come together for a contest known as The Long Walk. Once the contestants begin walking, they must stay at three miles-per-hour, lest they be shot and eliminated from the competition. Star Wars veteran Mark Hamill plays a vital role in The Long Walk, but its two biggest stars are up-and-comers Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson. Hoffman is best known for his work in Licorice Pizza from Paul Thomas Anderson, and Jonsson recently headlined the 2024 sci-fi thriller, Alien: Romulus.

The Last Airbender’ Fans Need To Read Fantasy’s Best Martial Arts Epic

Published

on

Jade City book cover

For nearly two decades, Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA) has left fans chasing the same feeling; not another elemental fantasy or another coming-of-age adventure, but another story where the action means something. Every bending duel in Avatar reflected a character’s personality, culture, and values just as much as their fighting style. Politics mattered. Family mattered. Even the biggest battles were usually about people before they were about power.

That’s exactly what makes Fonda Lee’s Jade City such an easy recommendation. On the surface, they look very familiar. They have a lot of East Asian influence, and both stories revolve around combatants who first acquire their awesome fighting abilities by years of martial arts training, rather than being naturally endowed with the ability to use magic freely. However, while Jade City draws on these elements, they are not what make it a great story to read, nor is it because it is reminiscent of Aang’s story, but that it realizes that in having power, also come the responsibilities, traditions, and impossible decisions associated with wielding that power, which is also evident in Avatar.

‘Jade City’ Treats Martial Arts as Culture, Not Just Action

Jade City book cover

Image via Fonda Lee

A key aspect of understanding Jade City is that jade not only replaces bending but also enhances the already trained abilities of Green Bone warriors on the island of Kekon; they have their strength, speed, reflexes, and senses increased by wearing jade. However, it is dangerous when used improperly by someone untrained or unable to handle jade, and it is also a very powerful item. Not everyone can safely wear jade, and therefore must undergo years of training or practice to control its use so that it does not overtake them.

That relationship with jade feels remarkably similar to the way Avatar approached bending. Neither content treats extraordinary abilities like flashy superpowers handed out for spectacle. They’re cultural traditions shaped by discipline, history, and expectation. A fight isn’t won because someone unlocks a convenient new ability. It’s won because they understand themselves — and their opponent — a little better than before.

Lee writes combat with the same philosophy. Every duel feels physical and deliberate, whether it’s a clean blade fight between rival Green Bones or a street brawl that erupts without warning. The action is exhilarating, but it’s never there simply to fill pages. Every punch, knife strike, and impossible leap changes relationships, shifts political alliances, or pushes a character closer to becoming someone they never wanted to be.

The Kaul Family Carries the Same Emotional Weight as Team Avatar

Appa, Momo, Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph in Avatar: The Last Airbender

Image via Nickelodeon

For all the praise Avatar receives for its world-building, its greatest strength has always been its characters. Fans fell in love with this show because every member of Team Avatar brought a different perspective on duty, loss, forgiveness, and what it meant to build a better future. Lan assumes a leadership role during a tumultuous time as peace continues to erode; as he leads with compassion, he also has to make hard decisions called for by his current role. His brother Hilo is a famous warrior, and loyalty to his family is both Hilo’s greatest strength and his biggest weakness. Likewise, their sister Shae returns home to avoid clan politics, but finds that family obligations always pull you back in. Anden is also one of the strongest characters in the book, grappling with his identity and sense of belonging.

None of these characters fit neatly into the role of hero or villain. They make mistakes, lash out, and protect each other even when they’re furious with one another. Their relationships evolve naturally, and that’s what gives Jade City its emotional punch. It’s the same reason Zuko’s redemption remains one of fantasy television’s defining character arcs. Growth isn’t presented as inevitable, but it has to be earned.

One of Avatar‘s smartest decisions was refusing to separate personal stories from political ones. For instance, Ba Sing Se was fascinating because every political decision affected ordinary people living inside the city. Jade City‘s central conflict is a struggle over the future of Kekon itself. Foreign powers want access to the island’s most valuable resource; tradition collides with modernization; old heroes give way to a younger generation that no longer agrees on what their country should become.

If those themes sound familiar, it’s because they’re the same questions ATLA and, later, The Legend of Korra repeatedly asked. How much should a society change? What traditions deserve preserving? When does protecting your culture become holding it back?

Lee never pauses the story to lecture the reader. Those questions emerge naturally through boardroom negotiations, family arguments, gang rivalries, and spectacular martial arts confrontations that always have consequences beyond the fight itself. This story doesn’t attempt to repeat or recreate bending, nor does it introduce another chosen one who will save the world; instead, it gives the characters enough agency and power that they carry the full weight of the narrative, and builds a fantastical world in which, for example, loyalty to one’s family can be as dangerous as a weapon and every victory has a price. This is also how Avatar: The Last Airbender has become an unforgettable animation in its storytelling. Jade City tells the same kind of story, but from a different point in life, and it is an equally compelling narrative.
