Jenelle Evans Reveals Plans To ‘Extend’ No-Contact Order

Jenelle Evans is all about establishing clear boundaries between herself and David Eason.

The reality star has explained why she called the cops to her home last month in a bid to de-escalate brewing tensions between herself and her ex when he came over to her residence.

Jenelle Evans filed for separation from David Eason on February 16, 2024, after six years of marriage, with the former citing his concerning behavior and ongoing child abuse case at the time as her reason for filing for divorce.

Reflecting on why she put that 911 call through last month, Evans explained that it was due to her ex breaking the no-contact rule, and even her attempt to prove that she was right about her decision was largely ignored by the police.

She recalled having the copy on her phone and showing it to the cops who stopped by her home to get statements about what happened. Unfortunately, the conversation did not yield Evans’ desired fruits, as no charges were pressed against Eason.

Evans had noted the presence of her ex at her home for coparenting duties during the 911 call, where she clarified that they got into a heated argument and she told him to leave the premises.

As US Weekly reported, Eason refused to leave, so she called the police for backup to prevent escalation and a repeat of the old pattern. Evans continued that she was trying to protect herself, as she added:

“I will be looking to extend my no-contact order. I do take accountability to a certain extent, allowing him back in my life, but at some point, you have to grow up.”

About two years after citing the grand jury indictment against Eason for child abuse involving her son Jace on the list of why she filed for divorce, a new development finally surfaced concerning the legal battle.

As shared by the media outlet, Eason’s charges of felony assault by strangulation and child abuse were dropped during a court hearing on August 24. Evans, less impressed, said she doesn’t care how the case went because it was full of drama.

She said she intends to stay away from the unnecessary attention surrounding the case and focus on her two other kids, who need her attention.

Eason reportedly attended court to learn his fate, but Evans was nowhere to be found, reinforcing her earlier stance about minding her business. Evans welcomed her oldest son, Jace, with her former partner, Andrew Lewis, in 2009 during a two-year relationship that ended in a split.

Earlier this year, the 34-year-old gave a candid look at the progress she has made with Eason since their split, explaining that it was done in the spirit of co-parenting their kids in peace.

As noted by PEOPLE, Evans stated that she has found herself trying to be as cordial as possible with her exes for the sake of the children they share.

“And if that means my daughter seeing us getting along together, going out to have lunch [or] dinners, I mean, that’s fine with me. As long as we can all get along, you know?” the media personality stressed.

She described this new phase as a completely different energy for her family, a positive one from her past, which was filled with toxicity. Evans told Dr. Rachel Mason on the La Femme Talk podcast that co-parenting peacefully is the most important thing for her, as they are all trying to create new memories.

During a Get Ready With Me session on TikTok, the reality star addressed fans curious about her relationship with Eason by sharing a quick story about the moment everything changed in their love story. 

As The Blast reported, Evans explained that everything initially felt positive and was very open about expressing his love publicly, but she watched the mood shift overnight. She recalled her ex suddenly waking up with an attitude and resorting to insults whenever he was frustrated. 

Evans added that the pattern immediately reminded her of the unhealthy behaviors she has dealt with in the past for many years, and she knew it was time for that to end.

She continued that Eason’s behavior while she was recovering from knee surgery after being diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome further drove the nail in for her.

As the conversation continued, the social media influencer shared a progress report about her son, who was undergoing treatment at a mental health facility after he reportedly pointed a gun at his grandmother.

Evans, confiding in the podcaster, added that she has mostly kept quiet about the development because she has been getting her son the necessary help.

The media personality noted that Jace is in a safe space and focused on himself by exploring holistic treatments and trying to stay happy despite his situation. Evans corrected the notion that she was not getting anything done because she was quiet, even though she insisted that her silence should never be taken for lack of effort.

The reality star’s mother, Barbara Evans, had filed for emergency child custody in Jace’s name in March, stating that her daughter may not have the capacity to take care of Jace due to her other children.
