The median American home costs around $400,000. A single Pokémon card recently sold for roughly 40 times that.

In February, a PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card changed hands for $16.49 million, the most anyone has ever paid for a trading card at auction. And it isn’t a lone fluke at the top. A first-edition Charizard cleared $550,000 late last year, and a Japanese Base Set version went for $1.7 million in March, each one outpricing a typical house in most of the country.

That gap between a single card and real estate sounds absurd until you look at where the money’s been moving. The trading card market is on pace to hit $52 billion in 2026, with Pokémon out front as grown adults pour back into a hobby they left behind in grade school. Card Ladder’s Pokémon Index is up 116 percent year over year, and some graded cards have outperformed the S&P 500 over the past few years.

Sam Kiki saw it coming. The MonkeyTilt founder and two-time High Stakes Poker record-holder launched Tilt Rips in May, a platform where collectors buy digital packs, open them in real time and either keep the physical cards or flip them on an in-app marketplace.

“When a single Pokémon card sells for sixteen million dollars, you stop thinking about this as a hobby category,” Kiki said. “It’s a real market. The collectors driving it are sophisticated, and they deserve a platform that takes the experience as seriously as they do.”

That crossover between play and serious money is familiar turf for Señor Tilt. At the poker table, he’s dragged a seven-figure pot off Rick Salomon, taken Kevin Hart for roughly $424,500 in a single hand and earned the nickname “the most dangerous recreational player on the planet” from PokerGO commentator Brent Hanks.

Bold and the Beautiful delivers Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) reeling when Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tells Hope flat out that her leave of absence is over and she’s expected back at Forrester Creations because they are going to relaunch Hope for the Future right away.

However, Hope has got obligations to Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) over at Logan. So, basically, Hope has been backed into a corner, and while it looks like she’s about to confess to Steffy, I don’t think so. I think Hope decides to tell more lies instead.

Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy’s Suspicious Offer

So, this week, Steffy told Hope, “Enough with the games.” And she said, “I know what you’re up to.” So, Hope was panicking that Steffy might know that she went over to Logan, but Hope played dumb. And in the end, Steffy basically accused her of being up to something. She said that Hope took a leave of absence to force her hand. And Steffy told Hope that, “Okay, you got what you wanted.” So Steffy told Hope flat out, “It’s time to end your leave of absence and come back to work.” And Steffy said they were going to make a big announcement in the press about Hope for the Future coming back at Forrester Creations.

The thing is, I kind of suspect that Steffy was not being sincere. I think she might actually be testing Hope. The vibe that I got watching those scenes is that Steffy knows that something is up. She knows Hope is up to something and this leave of absence is sketchy. Ever since the coup with Carte Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), we have seen Steffy eyeing Hope and she’s been suspicious of her, which is understandable. And Steffy knows that Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) co-CEO move was all a plot by Hope.

Bold and Beautiful: Steffy’s Odd Behavior

So, when I was watching those scenes, I was thinking, hm, okay, Steffy is channeling her grandma, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), who was always skeptical of the Logan women. And when Steffy told Hope, “Bring it in.” And then hugged her, that’s when I was like, “No way. What is this even happening right now?” Steffy and Hope are not hug it out stepsisters. Never have been.

So, my BS meter was off the charts. And I was thinking, okay, this is either insane writing, which is possible, or Steffy is suspicious. She, I think, senses that something is up with Hope. Things don’t add up. But I don’t think that she knows exactly what it is.

Hope’s Confession Cliffhanger and Lies on B&B

After Steffy hugged Hope and Steffy said, “I support you,” Hope seemed ready to confess. And she told Steffy, “There’s something you need to know.” That was the cliffhanger moment. But honestly, it’s way too soon and not very soapy for Hope to come clean to Steffy at this moment. Yes, I think that Hope should come clean. She should have quit and made a clean break away from Forrester Creations when this all started, but instead she lied to Steffy, to Brooke, and to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about her leave of absence. And that was super dodgy.

And while Hope confessing would be the right thing to do, I just don’t see it happening. I cannot see her telling Steffy, “Oh, by the way, I’ve got a new line about to debut over at Logan, and I signed a deal with Katie and Bill.” And during this whole discussion, the look on Steffy’s face was almost like, “Ha, I’ve got you.” But I think Hope is going to chicken out and instead of confessing, she’s going to tell more lies. Just like when she went out and did a leave of absence, instead of telling Steffy and Ridge, “Okay, I quit,” Hope may say that, you know, she’s still working through things and she’s not quite ready to come back.

She may tell Steffy she needs more time to work through her feelings, but nothing Hope says is going to convince Steffy to take no for an answer. And in the end, I suspect Hope may just tell a bunch more lies, trying to buy a little more time while she sorts through things. Basically anything to put Steffy off so that Hope can just get out of the CEO office and leave.

Bold and the Beautiful: Hope’s Strategy and Logan Launch Plans

There’s an official Bold and the Beautiful spoiler that says Steffy’s offer changes everything and another that says Brooke celebrates a bright future with Hope. So I think that you know Steffy may tell Brooke that okay Hope’s going to come back to Forrester Creations. Steffy says, “I told her to end her leave of absence.”

But at the same time, I think Hope is going to tell Steffy that she just needs to sort through some things. And I think she’s vague and then is going to skitter out of there. And then Hope is going to run over to Logan to talk to Katie and everybody else. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) and Katie and Bill are all waiting. They’re all worrying. And Hope’s going to tell them that Steffy told her to end her leave of absence and come back.

It’s about to Hit the Fan on Bold and the Beautiful

And I think Katie may encourage Hope to just buy time to get to the launch because once Katie reveals Hope is her new designer, it’s going to all be out in the open anyway. And that way, Hope won’t have to come clean to anybody. She won’t have to work up the nerve to tell Steffy and Brooke what she’s done and how she’s betrayed them. At the same time, I think it’s very cowardly if Hope does it this way and doesn’t come clean and keeps lying. But I think Bill will call it strategy.

But if Hope lies like I suspect she might, then it’s all going to be so much worse than if she just came clean from the start. She should have told Steffy, Ridge and Brooke the truth. Or, you know, Hope could have told Steffy when she decided to reactivate her line this week.

So, if it does go this way and Hope does more fibbing to Steffy and Brooke just lying right in their face, it’s going to obviously make everything worse. And we already know Hope isn’t going to walk away from Logan because we’ve seen a leaked video of Brooke over at Logan going insane on Katie.

And while that’s happening, Hope is hiding behind the screen and she’s basically cowering while Brooke rages at Katie. So, that means Hope doesn’t come clean to Steffy or Brooke would already know the truth about who her new designer was and Hope would have warned Katie.

Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy’s Suspicions and the Launch Showdown

But I think Steffy’s going to do the math because Brooke told her Katie can only hire Spencers, not Forresters. And of course, Steffy was expecting Hope to be thrilled about her line coming back. And Hope not jumping at the chance to get back to work is going to make Steffy more suspicious. She told Hope that Forrester Creations wants to announce Hope for the Future is back.

And say Steffy really believes this and isn’t on to her. If they put that out in the press and then Hope winds up launching over at Logan, that will absolutely humiliate the Foresters, it’ll be as bad or worse than when news broke that Eric Forrester (John McCook) was debuting a line over at Logan. Only, of course, he backed out at the last minute and didn’t walk the runway with Katie as Eric promised he would.

Too Little Too Late for Hope on B&B

But I think Hope’s not going to back out just because Steffy green lit her line. Of course, greenlighting it doesn’t erase all the times that Hope felt disrespected, that Steffy put her line on hold and basically laughed in her face and flexed her power. So, I think if Hope tells more lies, it’s going to make it so much more of a betrayal when she and Deke make their debut and they walk down the runway with the Hope for the Future diamond on her and they’re thanking Katie and Bill.

So, it could be Steffy who gets Brooke amped up and is why she goes over to confront Katie and demand to know who’s her designer. Steffy may suspect that Hope defected to Logan, but I don’t think Brooke is going to believe that her precious daughter would ever do that. And that may be why Brooke goes over to confront Katie.

So, I think if Steffy does wind up suspecting that Hope defected, I think Brooke’s going to hope that she’s wrong. But Katie is not going to come clean and I don’t think Hope will either. That means we’re going to probably get a huge throwdown showdown at the Hope for the Future launch during sweeps and it may actually coincide with Eric’s launch and it could be because Bill and Katie are plotting it to steal Forrester’s thunder, but I anticipate more lies, not a confession.

Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies follows CIA agent Roger Ferris in his grand but highly dangerous attempt to capture terrorist Al-Saleem. Think James Bond, but a bit less suave and a bit more gritty. Scott’s work is an adaptation of David Ignatius’s best-selling novel of the same title, wherein one CIA Agent attempts to pull his enemy out of hiding through an unending trail of deceit. The film features a heavily star-studded cast, including but not limited to: Leonardo DiCaprio, Russel Crowe, and, of course, the beloved Oscar Isaac.

After the modest success of Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down, Body of Lies seems to have inadvertently fallen into its shadow. Just short of twenty years later, it has earned a respectable smattering of applause from audiences, but the ever-disagreeable critics have found the film a bit lackluster. Despite the criticism, Body of Lies is certainly deserving of flowers, both for the expert acting chops and, of course, the wondrous directorial work from the unforgettable Ridley Scott.

The Wonderfully Bombastic world of ‘Body of Lies’

Because of the names attached to the film, it’s tempting to call it “satire”. There’s also a desire to say this is Ridley Scott’s take on America’s impact on the Middle East. In actuality, this film is simply a deeply entertaining, albeit slightly cartoonish, blockbuster made for surface-level action enjoyment. There’s little nuance, or really any call for active attention. Hence why, some critics found it so, so, and yet audiences reacted favorably.

Essentially, DiCaprio plays the pensive, brooding Roger Ferris, a CIA operative attempting to juggle a seemingly infinite well of lies and complete his highly dangerous mission all at once. After his primary adversary, Al Saleem (Alan Abutul), and his much larger terrorist group continually sidestep Ferris’s meek attempts at technological warfare and mini-bombardments, he decides he must opt for a rogue, boots-on-the-ground route. And thus, Ferris must now not only placate his superior, Ed Hoffman (Russel Crowe), but also draw out his enemy while secretly putzing around his territory. DiCaprio’s charming, slightly southern drawl as he pushes up against the buttoned-up disposition of Hoffman as he wages a war, thousands of miles away, offers a compelling B-plot of sorts in between the explosive action.

Ferris’s plot thickens further as he is forced to handle a puzzling relationship with the head of Jordanian intelligence, Hani, played by Mark Strong. Additionally, Ferris finds himself a local love interest, Aisha, portrayed by Golshitfeh Farahani, perhaps as Ridley Scott’s directorial attempt to humanize the innocents living on enemy lines. In summary, both the plot and Ferris’s plate are beyond full, and perhaps arguably overfilled with conflict, and even one misstep will cost Ferris his life.

‘Body of Lies’ is Ridley Scott’s most Underrated Thriller

As of June 18, 2026, Body of Lies has a passable 62% on Rotten Tomatoes. The reasoning behind the low rating is likely twofold. First, when making a project with Ridley Scott, not to mention the highly decorated cast members, the standards are impossibly high. This is the creator of revolutionary films like Thelma and Louise, Alien, Gladiator, the list goes on literally infinitely. This inventive take on the war thriller drama genre fell flat in comparison, because how could it possibly not? Even the best filmmakers don’t always produce projects that remain a pillar of cultural reference. Additionally, it can be argued that despite the thrilling espionage and the coiling story of deception captured in Body of Lies, it does tread a bit close to blurry plot disorientation. However, with that being said, does this film certainly remain a thrilling journey of deeply entertaining close calls and turmoil? Yes, absolutely.

In summary, this forgotten combat picture deserves more recognition than has been offered. In just 128 minutes, both Scott and the cast alike portray an incredible story that still remains just as sickly entertaining nearly a decade and a half later. This film, while perhaps a bit larger-than-life at times, took a swing at attempting to capture the reality of war while still remaining exciting and light. Among the ending Rolodex of Ridley Scott projects, Body of Lies should surely be remembered.

The detective show is one of the most entertaining TV genres. Whether it be a procedural with weekly mysteries or a series with one ongoing mystery per season, these shows draw viewers in with compelling storylines and shocking plot twists. Detective procedurals see one main character – either a detective, a police consultant, or a private investigator – using their unique skills or experience to solve crimes each week that nobody else could.

Meanwhile, other detective series with ongoing storylines will slowly entangle an overarching mystery over the course of each of their seasons. Great detective shows balance exciting mysteries with a focus on their characters, particularly their crime-solving protagonist and the complications of their job or unique skill. These are the detective shows that are 10/10, no notes.

‘High Potential’ (2024–Present)

Based on the French-Belgian series HPI, High Potential follows Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson), a woman with High Potential intellect. Morgan is a mother with three kids, and she works as a night cleaner for the LAPD. One night, while cleaning the Major Crimes division, Morgan notices an inconsistency in the murder board. Unable to let it go, she fixes the issue herself, which leads to Major Crimes bringing her on as a full-time consultant.

One of the best subgenres of the detective show is the type where a quirky consultant with a unique skill that helps them solve crimes in a way that the police can’t. High Potential takes this concept and runs with it in the best way. Each week, Morgan solves a murder or other major crime alongside her partner, Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata). Every weekly murder mystery is compelling on its own, and ends in a shocking murder reveal. The series also has a major overarching mystery: 15 years before the start of the series, Morgan’s boyfriend and the father of her first child suddenly disappeared. Now, with the LAPD on her side, Morgan is determined to find out what happened to him.

‘A Man on the Inside’ (2024–Present)

A Man on the Inside is a hilarious and heartwarming dramedy series that follows Charles Nieuwendyk (Ted Danson), a widower and retired professor. Charles is only becoming more isolated with each passing day, and his daughter, Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis), is concerned about him. At the same time that Emily suggests that Charles get a job or a hobby, he stumbles upon a newspaper advertisement from Private Investigator Julie Kovalenko (Lilah Richcreek Estrada). Julie is looking for someone who can go undercover as a resident in a retirement community, and Charles turns out to be just the person for the job.

Charles has neither the experience nor the personality type to be a spy, but his outside perspective winds up benefiting him on the job. A Man on the Inside is a hilarious fish-out-of-water story, but it’s also really touching, as it sees Charles slowly finding a community for himself again for the first time since his wife’s death. Each season so far has a compelling central mystery that sees Charles going undercover to investigate, and they both build up to excellent reveals that keep viewers guessing until the very end.

‘Rizzoli & Isles’ (2010–2016)

Rizzoli & Isles is a crime procedural that follows the partnership of Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and her forensic pathologist best friend, Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander). For both Jane and Maura, their jobs are pretty much their whole lives. Jane isn’t interested in letting anyone else in, and Maura has a hard time connecting with people. The two of them get each other, though, and they work really well together. With the combination of Jane’s expert investigative skills and Maura’s knowledge of the clues that a dead body can reveal, they’re able to solve murders that nobody else can.

Rizzoli & Isles is one of the darker and grittier detective shows. It doesn’t shy away from showing the heavy realities of Jane and Maura’s jobs, and they regularly work on brutal and disturbing murder cases. Rizzoli & Isles is a deeply entertaining series that will keep viewers engaged with both weekly murder mysteries and a number of twisty overarching storylines. It’s also a darkly funny show with sharp writing and excellent banter between Jane and Maura.

‘Veronica Mars’ (2004–2019)

Veronica Mars follows a teen detective named Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell). The series picks up after the once-popular Veronica has lost pretty much everything following the murder of her best friend, Lilly (Amanda Seyfried). Nobody knows for sure who did it, and after accusing the wrong person, Veronica’s sheriff father, Keith (Enrico Colantoni), has gotten them both ostracized from the rest of their small town.

Keith soon opens his own private investigative firm, and Veronica helps him solve cases. Each episode shows her working on a different weekly case, while also slowly trying to get to the bottom of an overarching murder mystery for that season. In Season 1, Veronica investigates Lilly’s murder, particularly after discovering that the man who was imprisoned for killing her did not actually do it. Veronica Mars is an excellent detective series with dark storylines, fantastic writing, and a compelling and nuanced protagonist.

‘Castle’ (2009–2016)

Castle is another fantastic procedural about the unlikely partnership between a serious detective and a consultant who thinks out of the box. Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) is a wildly successful and famous author who writes murder mystery novels. This has naturally gone to his head quite a bit, and he enjoys it all a little too much. When a serial killer starts killing victims by reenacting murders from Castle’s books, the NYPD reaches out to him for help on the case.

What starts out as just one case turns into a regular arrangement, and Castle becomes a consultant for the NYPD. He partners up with Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), and each episode, the two of them solve crimes together. Castle is a fun and often silly procedural that also has a number of suspenseful storylines and compelling weekly mysteries, and it makes for an excellent binge-watch.

‘Pushing Daisies’ (2007–2009)

Pushing Daisies is a detective show set in a cozy, fairytale-esque world. It follows Ned (Lee Pace), a piemaker with a secret: barring some very specific rules and conditions, Ned can wake the dead with a single touch. When he’s not running his pie shop, Ned helps private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) solve murders, by waking the victims and asking them who killed them. Each episode shows Ned and Emerson solving a different outlandish and over-the-top murder, and often, the victims’ reveals aren’t much help to them.

When Emerson’s latest case is an investigation into the murder of Ned’s estranged childhood sweetheart, Chuck (Anna Friel), he wakes her up to ask her who did it. Even though Chuck doesn’t know, Ned finds himself unable to touch her back to death, and the two reunite for the first time in almost two decades. Chuck sticks around and adjusts to life as an undead person, while she and Ned get to know each other again as adults. The only problem is, they can never touch, or she will go back to being dead forever.

‘Psych’ (2006–2014)

It’s hard to find a better detective show out there than Psych, even if its protagonist is far from a detective. The hilarious procedural follows Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez), a man who lacks drive and focus, but has a photographic memory – and phenomenal attention to detail that was honed for years by his detective father (Corbin Bernsen). Shawn solves crimes better than the police do, and will occasionally call them to give tips about who did it. When he flies a little too close to the sun, Shawn is accused of committing the crime he’s trying to solve, so he saves face by pretending to be a psychic.

What starts as an impulsive way to get himself out of trouble turns into a new job for Shawn. With the help of his best friend, Gus (Dulé Hill), Shawn opens a psychic agency that regularly consults on cases for the Santa Barbara Police Department. Each episode sees Shawn and Gus teaming up to solve a different case together, all while Shawn has to do the additional work to convince the people around him that he’s solved the case using his psychic powers.

On Wednesday, BunnaB took to social media to share that she had surprised her mother with a new home. In a heartfelt video, the rapper is seen dancing alongside her mom as they celebrate the special moment with family.

Alongside the post, BunnaB reflected on the milestone, writing, “half a mill on you bby girl love you mommy! Thank you God for everything.” The rapper also shared additional photos and videos featuring her siblings, adding, “Dang y’all, I bought my mama a house today! The day I’ve been dreaming of. She raised all 10 of us by herself! Had to give you the world! #LongLiveMyDaddy.”

BunnaB Opens Up On Nearly Giving Up Music And What’s Next For Her Career

While celebrating a major milestone for her family, BunnaB also took a moment to open up about the challenges she has faced behind the scenes. The rapper revealed that this year has been one of the toughest of her life, saying she has struggled to balance music, family, and everything in between. Despite the challenges, BunnaB said she is coming back stronger than ever and is preparing to release new music, visuals, and more for her supporters. In her post, she wrote:

“Y’all don’t understand how blessed I am. I know a lot of y’all have been asking, ‘Where’s the summer song?’ Truth is, this year has been one of the toughest years of my life. I’ve been trying to balance music, family, and everything in between, and at one point became so overwhelmed that I almost gave up on what I love most.

During the month of May, my baby brother was battling craniopharyngioma and had to undergo brain surgery. Watching someone you love go through that changes your whole perspective on life.

My mom has always been there for everybody else’s children, always giving, always helping, and always showing up when people need her. All I ever wanted was to be able to give her the world in return.

Through it all, God has continued to bless us, and I’m beyond grateful. Thank y’all for being patient with me and supporting me through this season.

Young and the Restless hints of about some couple swaps and shakeups coming soon, including Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) considering a shocking new romance that could ignite a family feud. Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may pursue a bizarre crush on a sketchy guy.

Plus, there’s a few dramatic reunions coming driven by tragedy and second chances. We’re going to get into what is coming for Kyle and Phyllis and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and many others.

Young and the Restless: Kyle and Victoria’s Unexpected Romance

And now, let’s talk about romance and pairings and reunions on Y&R. Right off the bat, and I’m sure you already know this, headwriter Josh Griffith has a tendency to let promising romantic pairings just die on the vine. Like for instance, with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) going nowhere. Same with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nate Hastings. And of course, on top of that, there’s the ick of Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) forcing herself on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) again.

You know, with Victoria and Nate, they renewed their friendship. They sparked a little and then they fell off the radar as a pair. So, I do want to start with Victoria. She’s been enabling Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) awful antics and dealing with Nick’s addiction and now with Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) ongoing health issues.

Young and Restless: Victoria Needs Romance

So, also Victoria hasn’t had any romantic action pretty much since Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) died last year. She and Nate got closer when the two of them were sharing grief because his brother Damian Kane (Jermain Rivers) had been murdered and then Cole died of Legionnaire’s disease that in real life kills pretty much nobody.

So, Victoria is long overdue for romance and I suspect Y&R may intend to pair her with Kyle Abbott, which I’m totally down for. It definitely seems like Kyle and Victoria’s bickering could lead to romance, maybe the bedroom. Nate and Victoria haven’t sizzled in a long time. In fact, they fizzled and it was kind of a waste of time.

And since Young and the Restless keeps throwing Kyle together with Victoria, I suspect they could be chemistry testing them. And now that Jack is vowing revenge on Victor for bringing Patty to town and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) going missing, we’ve got the Abbott versus Newman feud heating up on both sides.

Y&R Twist: Kyle and Victoria’s Romeo & Juliet Story

So, if Young and the Restless pairs Kyle with Victoria, they would have a whole like Romeo and Juliet vibe, you know, some Westside Story type of action with Kyle and Victoria falling in love against all odds with both their families against the match. And honestly, if Kyle wants revenge on Victor, dating Victoria would be a good way to get it.

Plus, it would be extra soapy because Victoria was married to and shares kids with Kyle’s uncle, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Plus, Kyle’s last big romance was with Victoria’s daughter, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin). But since Josh Griffith likes the whole elder woman, younger man vibe right now, I could see Kyle and Victoria going for it.

Young and the Restless: Nate & Audra’s Second Chance

Next, let’s talk about Nate, who hasn’t been alone with Victoria in forever. So, I think that pair is dead. He’s at loose ends. And if you remember, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was prodding Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to take a second look at getting with Nate since he is incredible. And Sally told Audra to go for it with him and forget about Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).

Plus, it looks like that Noah is going to stick with his older love Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). Despite Audra turning up to sniff around Noah and flirt with him, it seems like Sienna and Noah are staying together, at least for now. So, I think Nate is a much more viable option for Audra. and she and Nate just had a very nice moment at Crimson Lights.

Also, it’s clear to me that Audra and Nate have hotter chemistry than her with Noah or him with Victoria. And a ton of fans really liked when Audra was with Nate. And of course, Audra did him wrong with the dirty deal that she cut with Victor.

But let’s be real, Nate is not always a good guy. He slept with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) when she was with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and he still forgave Nate. And Nate was with Elena when he started cheating on her with Victoria and she forgave him. So, Nate’s had second chances, third chances. That’s why I can see him giving Audra another chance. Plus, she was so good with Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). And when Audra was with Nate, she was softer and less ruthless.

But of course, Victor tempted her to turn vicious and power hungry. But hopefully she learned her lesson. And if Nate gave Audra another chance, I think Sally would tell her, “Go for it.” I could see her telling Audra, “You better grab Nate with both hands. He’s a catch.” I think it could also be really cute with Sally and Billy doing double dates with Nate and Audra. I would be there for all of that, especially if Victoria is meant to wind up with Kyle. So, I think Audra and Nate version 2.0 would be a really good pairing. I would like to see him back with Audra and them in a loving, healthy relationship.

Plus, Nate knows firsthand that a romance with Victoria is going to bring irritating Newman interference, and I don’t think he wants to deal with Victor that way again. So, Audra, of course, would have to prove herself to Nate, but I think she could earn a second chance with him.

Young and the Restless: Victor & Nikki’s Reunion and Lily & Cane

And then another thing to talk about, we’ve got Victor and Nikki who have been split up for three months now. She asked Victor not too long ago about whether they could get back together. And he told Nikki, “Sure, we can get back together as soon as you cut Jack Abbott out of your life for good.” But Nikki is unwilling to get rid of her oldest friend. So, she and Victor are at an impasse. But Nikki’s in bad shape medically with those headaches intensifying and her vision deteriorating.

So, Victoria is pressuring her mom to go to the doctor. And when Nikki does, she gets a scary diagnosis, and that sends Victor running back to her side to see Nikki through this, and it’s going to trigger their reunion. Also, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) have been kissing and warming up. I expect more canoodling, and that Lily and Cane are an officially reunited couple during July sweeps. I think Lily is going to wind up over at Cane’s place and in between his sheets with him very soon. and Devon and the other haters who don’t like Lily being with Cane are just going to have to deal with it.

Young and the Restless: Phyllis & Matt Clark’s Unexpected Connection

And now I want to talk about Phyllis Summers. So, if you remember, her last sort of romantic interest was Cane, but their pairing wasn’t even really romantic. It was all about revenge and him trying to get over Lily. And with Cane off the market, we’ve got Phyllis again at loose ends. But she has some kind of weird thing with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) going on.

Even knowing what he did to Sharon back in the day, Phyllis was worried about what Victor would do to Matt when he got a hold of him. She was actually trying to protect him. And in a way, Phyllis and Matt are a perfect match for each other because nobody else in Genoa City would be willing to date either of them at this point.

But, you know, in all seriousness, Matt and Phyllis do have a vibe. And since Young and the Restless seems to be redeeming Matt despite his icky past, and they’re going to keep Roger Howarth around, which is great because I like him as an actor, you know, despite Matt’s horrible past. So, yeah, be on the lookout for more scenes with Phyllis and Matt, and maybe some sparks flying between them. I wouldn’t hate it. But I just don’t like the idea of them redeeming a rapist, but they’re obviously going to do that anyway.

I also expect to see Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Claire getting more serious and Jack fighting against Patty who might drug him into bed again. But in the end, I do anticipate Jack and Diane are happily reunited despite this awful plot. But either way, I’m expecting some hot new pairings, some dramatic reunions, and some couple shakeups that maybe we weren’t even expecting on Young and the Restless.
